Tried the crispy chilli beef. Very tasty and crispy as the name suggested. I am sure the other menus are great as well. Friendly staff, they even gave us two bottle iced teas on the house. They even sell separate paste such as sambal and rendang paste. Highly recommend for anyone looking for good Malaysian food around cork. They have another branch in Kinsale. Halal meat and vegan alternatives are offered.

Compliments to the hard working chefs

Accidentally found this place when rushing to the tour bus. A small shop serving Malay foods. It's not easy to find my own kind-of-food far away from South East Asia. But yea, should try one of our local dish - rendang.

Came here cuz i miss indonesian food, food was okay, but far from my expectations. Nice place, i order Soto, Duck rolls, and pad thai, pad thai was nice, but not so much with soto and rolls

First time ordering this weekend! A huge range of options for veggies and vegans. Had the prawn satay, spring rolls and the pad Thai, all were amazing so we will order again.
I expected the food spicier but as I have no knowledge of Malaysian food maybe this is how it is!

Great and quick place to grab lunch. Such a wide variety on the menu, vegetarian options almost always available. And the best part, it was delicious!

I'm a fan of this place. Always really tasty and fresh and its great value.

Malay kitchen is a lovely place for Asian food. They offer takeaway boxes for pickup and delivery. They are pretty quick in making the food.
It is wheelchair accessible. There is wheelchair accessible parking nearby.
You will need to wear a mask when placing your order.

Superb! I've only been once so far but you can guarantee I'll be back to check out the rest of the menu. Also glad it wasn't cash only; they take cards for purchases over 10 euro.

Did not really like the food. Maybe I came with great expectations but the restaurant did not meat those expectations, it turned out to be just okay
A.
Definitely one of our favourite restaurants in Cork. The food is delicious, affordable and healthy. They offer each day a different dish for 5€ from 12-5pm (the portion is slightly smaller). This place is definitely recommended!

Best Malaysian and Asian cuisine. Comfort food street style
H. M.
I like the food here but just wondering why you don’t have discount as Ramen do!! Still expensive if I compare with Ramen Restaurant!
b. c.
Great vegan food. The satay noodles and vegan caramel slice are amazing, as are the spicy chips. The female cook is fantastic, really knows the menu and great at helping to advise. Super friendly. Great experience all round.

My friends and I ate here during our trip to Cork. We were very hungry and didn't have much money but that did not matter at the Malay Kitchen as the food was lovely for a low price. One of the best curries I've ever had, and my first experience of Malaysian cuisine. Great service and brilliant food!

A small place filled with amazingly big beautiful flavours. I've never been let down by a meal inside the restaurant or take away. The food always smells mind-blowing good when you walk through the front door and you can tell a lot of love goes in to everything on the menu. A great little spot that leaves a big impression.

This is the best takeaway in the city, bar none. The staff are absolutely lovely, the food is gorgeous, and reasobably priced. They are extremely accommodating towards vegans and other dietary restrictions, and have both tofu and seitan options for no extra charge. The chips are also absolutely gorgeous, skins on, and there's free lemon water on tap.
They also do different vegan cake squares every day for 50c, which is a really nice gesture and they could easily charge a lot more for them.
O. C.
As pointed out be other comments. Great spot for a nice vegetarian meal that won't break the bank. No frills about the place, straight up, good food. I think they are certainly more on the ball than most places in cork on what good Asian food should be!

Love this place.
I often visit for their €5 lunch special, as it can usually be made gluten free and vegan. They are very allergen aware which is great.
Try their gourmet chips if youre feeling naughty haha, yum

Great small place with legit Malaysian food. The lady was friendly and humble. She offered great suggestions when we weren’t sure what to order. She even offered to make the food spicier. Thanks!
C. A.
Fantastic and friendly staff. Food top notch.
P. M.
Beautifully prepared food, authentic tasting and excellent staff. €5 before 5 is an unreal deal! Been here on several occasions, my own favourite being tofu in black pepper sauce. The chicken wings are gorgeous as is the rendang curry (my husbands favourite). There is a sit-in area also which is lovely and cosy.

I have been searching and searching for a decent Laksa in Ireland. I found one here. It might not be the same as the ones at home, but it sure hit the spot. The Pad Thai was fantastic too.
This place is great for a quick and easy feast and they're open late too.
D. L.
Been going here many times since I moved to Cork - food is fantastic and big portions. Staff is always friendly here and they are quite quick to make the food as well. Facilities have improved a lot in the restaurant.
D. O.
Excellent Asian food. Had a mix of starters and mains from here on a recent trip to Cork. Probably the best Asian food I've had in Cork in years. Great value also. Highly recommended!

I've been three times in this restaurant, and the three times I asked for a random number from the menu and all of them were delicious. The staff is really nice and the atmosphere is really calm. I've loved it 10/10 would repeat again.
P. S.
High quality Asian food for Veggies, Vegans and Meaties!
Nothing much to look at, but clean and fast fresh food. Best of the 'street food' scene in Cork.
Z. H.
Really really nice Asian street food at a usually pretty cheap price. Can't recommend them enough either to sit down or order a takeaway. Full vegan menu
A. O. K.
One of my favourite spots in cork thanks to their lunch specials and stellar staff, always clean and great atmosphere during lunch, thanks for adding such charm to North main st!
A. C.
Tall shaved headed guy made the best pad Thai I've had in my life. Sound service too. Will 100% be back 😁

Best Asian 'street food' place in Ireland. Verry friendly staff knows their food well. For me this is real winner in vegan Asian food category in Cork

The menu is a fair representation of south East Asian street food. Highly recommend the caramelized sesame chicken.

(Translated) Dish of the day copious. € 5 only. Lemon water offered. 😋
There was, however, a little burning taste.
For my first experience, I say: "not bad".
I will come back to it. In order to comfort my opinion, or not.
Simple decoration. It's more like a fast food.
(Original)
Plat du jour copieux. 5€ seulement. Eau citronnée offerte. 😋
Il y avait toutefois un petit goût de brûlé.
Pour ma première expérience, je dis donc: « pas mal ».
J’y reviendrai. Afin de conforter mon opinion, ou pas.
Décoration simple. C’est plutôt un fast-food.
