G. K.What a nice place to enjoy a meal. I was quite surprised but their separate two page plant based menu. I mean it’s hard to find vegan food at Italian places but this restaurant went above and bring to create a plant based version of the most beloved Italian dishes.
The servers are great and friendly. The ambience is nice and it’s relatively cheap
We were a party of two and paid 43€ on one occasion and 38€ on the second.

There is something on the menu for all tastes. We have eaten here regularly in the last 16 months and availed of their take out service during lockdown. Each dish is as tasty as the next !!! ( try the lasagna ) Good food, Friendly staff and always a warm friendly welcome from Natasha.
When you see all ages sitting to dine, you know your in for something good and tasty.....!!!!!!

D. P.Fantastic Italian restaurant with amazing effort on the vegan options! Don't leave without trying the arancini vegan rice balls starter - incredible! Had the seitan porcini as a main with wedge potatoes and roasted veg. Seitan was slightly under seasoned however the homemade sauce and meaty oyster mushrooms were very very good - I would still order this again. Had the vegan choc cake for dessert with vegan strawberry gelato. Yum!! Pic of main course and menu attached. My husband (not vegan) had the caprese salad and carbonara - he said it was excellent! He really enjoyed it too - so lovely to find a restaurant where both vegan and non-vegan can dine and both be satisfied. Great job! Will be back next time I'm in cork. Espresso really good too...also had soy Mocha, also good!

M. L.Great Italian restaurant. Our family includes 2 coeliacs, both very sensitive. Marcello's has gluten free options for almost everything, pizzas, pasta dishes, burgers, risotto. The chips were great but the staff informed us that they don't have a dedicated fryer. We ordered 6 gluten free dishes so we could share. The food was fantastic and the staff were really helpful and nice. We will be back.

R. G.I rarely review restaurants but for this it is worth breaking that habit. To call it a great family restaurant (and it is, the kids love it) is to completely undersell the quality of the food. This is a really good Italian restaurant (for couples, groups or families) by any standards. The food is outstanding and diverse, and the service excellent, any time I go there. These are tough times for restaurants so a place like this really deserves to be supported.

T. W.We shared 5 dishes for delivery. Pasta was cooked perfectly, beautiful flavours. Seafood was cooked properly. Only complaint is one of the dishes seemed to have been left under a heat light for too long and dried out the pasta (these thing sometimes happen). Overall, I would highly reccommend and I will be ordering from here again. As soon as restrictions are lifted I will be visiting the restaurant for a sit down meal.

C.I ordered a lovely meal for 3 for my Birthday, and have to say everything was lovely, the Steak and the slow cooked beef was absolutely beautiful, the Salmon was good we had good portions, The customer service was wonderful, thank you Natasha for your help..Will definitely order from there again.

K. M.This is our favourite restaurant in Cork. The food is at a level rarely experienced outside of Italy. The staff are warm and the service is friendly and impeccable. There is a decent wine selection and now also serve draught beer (pre-lockdown). We have been restricted to take away only in recent weeks and the menu has been adjusted for this. We are looking forward to returning post lock-down.

They also have a great choice for vegetarians and vegans which was great as there was 2 in our group. Couldn't rate this place high enough we will be back!

a.Very nice place as usual. Warm atmosphere and authentic italian cuisine. Nothing to say about the way of cooking and the way of serving. My only concern is that the portions are getting smaller and smaller. In this way soon they will serve only kids portions. Its a pitty as it is my favourite place to eat, even if I live 40km away. 🤔
A. D.Fantastic food. Some might say you can't go wrong with pizza and pasta but I've had some stinkers so I tend to err on the side of pessimism. The food at Marcello's was first rate. The pepperoni on my pizza piccante was the best I'd ever had and the whole experience for our party of 10 was one of prompt polite service, great food and a very competitive price (we came from London so price expectations are generally high.) All in all a pleasant evening in a very friendly atmosphere.

We'd come over from Limerick and after a long day Marcellos was exactly what we needed.
The service is awesome, everyone was so helpful. The vegan menu was amazing, and there were heaps of options. We had the most delicious food.
Definitely worth a visit if you are vegan, and if not you should obviously visit anyway!
C. O. D.staff were friendly, atmosphere was a bit lacking. Menu quite large and i ordered badly as my meal was quite small - all the other meals looked a decent size but my portion of fish crepes came with a small unappetizing side salad. There should have been some vegetables with it as i was still hungry after. The pricing seemes slightly odd - great deals on the early bird menu but again for what i ordered on the main menu over priced. I would return but i would ask more detailed questions before i ordered again.

K. B.My havourite Italian restaurant in Cork. They have such a huge choice of main courses. I'm sure every one can find something they like on the menu. The food us d we luscious so every time we go there I go for something new. My boyfriend says they have the best spaghetti with meat balls he ever tried. The place itself is very cosy and all staff are always nice and polite. The wait isn't long. We would normally book a table in advance because they are quite busy. It's greate for dinner for two or family/ friend dinner. Their dessert menu is so good, the panna cotta is absolutely amazing.

The staff headed by Ssandro were helpful efficient and above all cheerful! The food was excellent and the selection was very comprehensive. The buzz was contagious and we are looking forward to returning again with our family very soon.
M. S.Amazing food! Went in by chance to celebrate my mum's birthday, got some starters, which we're ready within 10 minutes. For mains we got mostly pasta (as one should in an Italian restaurant) - lasagna , cannelloni and carbonara. All absolutely delicious, finished off with some delicious desserts from which the tiramisu was by far the best, followed by the Pana Cotta. Honestly we we're so happy with our meal and the prices are very approachable considering the great quality of food. The interior is beautiful, traditional and the staff were very pleasant. 100% will go back again

We wanted a plain white pizza for our son which was not on the menu as such, like all we wanted was a plain pizza with garlic and cheese ... that we had no fuss it came exactly as hoped.
My Wife wanted a salad and small changes were made no fuss to accomodate her vegetarian diet.
For my part i ordered the beef cannelloni ... i am standing tall and i can say without any shadow of a doubt that everything from the beef mince preparation to the sauce was house made/prepared not a the slightest doubt about this.
I ordered the tiramisu ... this is again the *only* house made tiramisu i have had in Cork... and the tastiest and most authentic one at that.
As a conclusion, you want truly authentic Italian food and you are in Cork City, save yourself any disappointment and head for Marcello's of Douglas.
