A disappointing visit to a well known food chain restaurant. An online ordering system that has so many problems it's not worth the hassle, the WiFi and the phone service in the restaurant isn't sufficient enough to handle such a system, spent 15 minutes trying untill eventually we asked staff for another option but unfortunately the staff were less than helpful also and were like please show us that its not working, have you tried this? Tried that? Etc untill I eventually asked if someone can just take our order please, even that wasn't easy enough for them, they proceeded to tell us,yes we can but our managers have to see that we tried to help you use online first, and when I again remarked the problems this staff member said ok,let me find someone who isn't a manager, are the staff scared of their managers or something? Eventually after a combined length of half an hour trying to order, we eventually had to go to the counter to order(they couldn't even take it at the table). If I was going on service alone this would be a 1 star review, however the food that followed had brought it up to 3. It was above average but not great food. The chicken burgers were nice, and had a good mixture of taste and spice, and the sides were tasty but nothing out of this world and we have definitely tasted nicer chicken burgers in Cork. Overall a poor experience with poor organisation, unhelpful staff but food that just about allows them to get away with it. Won't be rushing back.

Great food and excellent staff service. However the QR code ordering system wasn't working well with poor internet connection inside the shop. Nando's free wifi requires loads of information just to get access and it did not work when we tried to register either. Used up so much time ordering, that we had to go out of the shop to get a proper internet connection to complete the order/payment. Hope this can be improved as it dampens the mood around the otherwise tasty and delicious meals served.

First time ever eating at Nando's and I have to say it was perfect. The online ordering system was easy and straightforward to use. Our servers were so attentive and just genuinely nice. Especially the blonde girl that was working today at 4:30 12.01.2021. She was so nice to our little ones. Couldn't fault the place if I tried. We'll definitely be back here again.

NOT MONSEIGNOR FRIENDLY. Went here with a few friends tonight as there wasn't much else open and we didn't fancy a McDonald's... Wish we did. We were forced to use the online ordering system which would be great in an ideal world, but unfortunately internet was hard to come by and to use Nando's free wifi you need to share personal information which I would be uncomfortable giving to a massive restaurant chain. Took us about 15 minutes to negotiate with the online ordering as internet was slow and eventually I had to succumb to creating an account so I could use the wifi. I can only imagine what my own monseignor at home would do when trying to order with this system. Just take our orders at our table it would be much handier for everyone involved. We knew it was going to be expensive but I was at least hoping it would be nice. The burger was vom enough, not much chicken to be eating for the 14 quid you pay for the burger and the chips. I don't mind expensive things but I wouldn't give any more than €7 for the feed we got. Fire alarm went off too which was uncomfortable but nothing they could do about that. Staff were lovely and friendly, couldn't be faulted. They were very helpful and seemed great at their job. I empathized with a few of them who seemed like they wanted to go home. I wanted to go home too

Great food, even better service!! Niall the waiter is a credit to the restaurant, he was friendly, funny and was always in sight if we needed anything (refills etc). I hadn't been in Nando's for a long time. Due to Covid we couldn't go up and order but we had to scan something at our table on to our phones to bring up the menu that let us order and pay for the food at our table. As much as I like Nando's it's pricey when you add in all the bits and technology doesn't always work and I find that it's nice having somebody come and take your order, it just makes it more personal in my opinion. Over all I did really, really enjoy what I got and thats probably down to the fact I hadn't it in a very long time. It won't put me off going back again.

Visited Nando’s Mahon point today (29.09.20) most pleasurable experience, greeted by a very nice gent on the door named Emils he explained the steps to be followed and showed me to my table where he explained how their order and pay system was functioning at the moment under the current circumstances, nice and quick service which was great considering I was starving, food was amazing as always 10/10 can never fault it cooked to perfection seasoned to perfection A1 job ! However what really stood out to me was the customer service I had received from one particular gent called Ross, what can I say this gent needs recognition from management/appropriate persons as the level of customer service that he provided to myself and all the other guests in the restaurant was absolutely outstanding he was going around doing table checks seeing did anyone want anything etc etc, the attention he paid to the customers and time that he had for each and every one of them was simply applaudable he even stopped for a quick chat about my travels before heading on to help more customers with seating, in my opinion this gent is an invaluable asset to the business as the pride he has in his role and the effort he makes to go the extra mile for customers will make customers returning customers time after time. After my pleasant experience here I will most certainly be returning ASAP

They have a decent loyalty card system which allows you to get small plates for free, if you have spent €200 already. It is a kind of restaurant which doesn't employ qualified chefs. Child friendly.

Update: sadly, another Nando’s where standards have fallen in recent times. A lot of turnover of staff it seems. Service not as good as in previous years. Once upon a time this was by far my favourite Nando’s in all of UK and Ireland. Sadly, nowadays it is just another franchise. Food is not as good as in the past and considering how pricey Nando’s has always been, well you can understand why expectations are so high. Disappointed to see it slip like this. Still better than any Nando’s in Dublin, however. ******************************** I’ve been to many Nando’s restaurants in Ireland and UK but none are as good as the Mahon Point Nando’s. Food is always top drawer, service quick and polite, ambience is very conducive to enjoying a meal. I’ve had one or two order errors over the years but cannot fault the service when brought to the staff’s attention. Must single out the brilliant Collette for always having a word with us and always going the extra mile service-wise. Delph and cutlery are immaculate and food is epic. My favourite Nando’s -

Nando’s is not a place I would visit often but in Mahon Point it is probably the most enjoyable food you could have. I would rather not eat than eat one of the Golden Arches meals (in the upstairs food court) so Nando’s is ideal if you want a proper meal with proper food. Staff are always great and the chicken is delicious. Worth the wait and queue. I’m sure I will be back.

During dessert, my daughter wanted to add frozen yoghurt to her dessert. My wife went up to the cashier and pay but unfortunately the Nandos card could only be used once a day. So I was thinking, why bothered to have the card. Why weren't we told that it can only be used once? What is the card actually for?

First visit to @NandosIRE last night at Mahon Point. Surprisingly rubbery and tough chicken for a chicken specific joint. (For the best wings in Cork go to Scoozi, off Winthrop Street.)Corn & peas were good. Wouldn't go again for the chicken though. Staff were very rushed even though they don't serve to the tables. The interior design is "Warehouse Cold". Won't be returning.
