Nice spot for seafood in Cork city. Quinlans are also fish suppliers so you know the fish is going to be of good quality.
Great you can get different types of fish with your fish & chips.
Outdoor seating as well.
R. B.
Really nice seafood bar. Leah our server was very friendly and a great help when it came to suggestions. The food was top class. The crab claws were sold out when we arrived so we will have to come back to try them next time.
M. O.
I’m not a fan of seafood and I gotta say this place is amazing!! Totally recommend the scallops and the oysters !
f. h.
I've been to this restaurant too many times and the food always delivers, well I always order the same thing 😅 crab legs in garlic butter. Delicious!!!

After much anticipation and a long journey from South Florida to Ireland we had a chance to visit Quinlan’s. Although our dining experience did not start off on a positive note due to a lack of service the ball was picked up by Amy who made the experience worthwhile. Food is very good!
M. E.
I would give ten stars if I could. Food was incredible. Service is outstanding. Drinks were delicious.
A simple must for seafood lovers. Mussels - outstanding, Prawns - Amazing, oysters - class!
Everyone was accommodating and a delight to chat to. Really appreciated that we were asked if we would like 15 mins between starter and main course to digest and relax.
Cocktails are class, makes a mean Old Fashioned 🥃
Fairly priced for the quality of food, professional and friendly staff.
Cannot recommend it enough! So impressed with this place highly recommended 👌 👏 geart jop

So fresh, so delicious. I never had this good sea food before in Ireland.
Seabass with risotto and tempura prawn is a must try !
Kudos to the chefs <3 everything was perfectly cooked. Not overcooked not undercooked. Pure perfection see and satisfaction to gobble down.
S. M.
Superb seafood. Best fish chowder and fish and chips I've had. Stunningly good. And never have I had the choice of six different fish for my fish and chips. (I chose haddock!) Can't wait to return!
L. V.
Fresh fish , good service, bus portions. Fish and chips had literally an entire cod fillet. Rice served with seabass was overcooked so they loose a potential star. Sourdough bread was amazing (forgot to ask if is baked by them or sourced, my bad)
Manager/owner very attentive and knows how run an impeccable shift

This restaurant is located in the bustling bar and restaurant district in central Cork. The servers were knowledgeable and the seafood in the pasta dishes were obviously very fresh. The restaurant appears to be very popular, so a reservation is suggested, as we were lucky to get a table for two for our early Saturday evening dinner. Highly recommended.
P. J.
Went with a friend. I ordered two starters, Fish Cakes and Squid. The portions were very reasonable and the food was well prepared, cooked and presented. Service was great and the waitresses were friendly.
J. D. J.
Very accomodating, nice and good service..
Delicious food and meal.. a place that is definitely on my lists.. I'll return and dine here again.

The Quinlans simplifies the question of where to eat sea food in Cork! It's the best place for that. No need to look further.
Service is excellent and the kitchen fast. I walked there without reservation and was accommodated. Still, it's recommended to book a table before you go as the place is not that large.
I had squid as a starter. It's was really well cooked and seasoned. After that, I had prawns as a main. They were excellent too.
5 stars!
M. P.
Thank you so much for great food, so fresh and excellent service.
M. A.
A fantastic outdoor experience on a Saturday evening. A great varied menu and very reasonable prices. The stuffed lobster, deep fried plaice and chocolate brownie were amazing. Will definitely be returning.
Z. M.
Great food and not too bad pricing wise considering it's seafood! Only downside was they didn't have the squid when I was there but it worked out because I had the scallops and they were fab.
Z. C.
Where do I even begin with how amazing this restaurant is? The service, cocktails, and food were just incredible. We were able to sit inside and from beginning to end the experience was outstanding. If you’re in Cork and want some great seafood along with wonderful cocktails from Andrea, the bartender, I highly recommend coming to Quinlan’s.

After trying The Mad Monk on the October bank holiday weekend. we decided when home in Cork to go to Quinlans Princess Street.
Yet again did not fail.
friendliest of staff. Ambient. delicious tide to table. spud to fresh cu chips.
delicious fresh tempura prawns. starter of crab claws. side of bread.
mains opted for Hake but all out. good sign. So Cod fish n chips with good auld mushy peas. when in Cork the Mushy peas. bottle of large water. nice glass of Rioja and Choice Heineken or Murphys on tap. well priced. Thank you as always.
P. D. S.
Lovely staff, really good service and delicious food!
My best place in Cork!!!
W. G.
We were looking for a restaurant that had atmosphere. We found it. I had the sizzling shrimp, they were okay. No more, no less. Someone at my table had the fish and chips (cod) which was probably the best one we tried in Ireland. The fish was soooo flaky. Someone else had the salmon, super well cooked, tasty and beautifully presented. If you like fish, you have to try this restaurant! All of their fish is locally sourced which is always great news

Amazing fish restaurant in Princes St, Cork. Since outdoor dining opened I have become a regular along with my friend Patsy O’Lear(owner of Cork Arms Pub).
I have now been converted to fish rather than meat. I love this place along with it’s delicious dishes , don’t think I have ever experienced such giant prawns, to die for!!, and it’s 5* service given by Marco and Jacob and the rest of the team. These 2 guys are the most amazing, attending to all our needs, as if we were the only 2 in the restaurant, but one that is continuously hectic. They have style and class befitting for such a restaurant, and even though always busy will have a smile and a word for everybody.
As I write I crave for that tagliatelle and giant prawns!! The best fish restaurant I have ever experienced.
Well done guys , ye are amazing. And to the chef that I cannot forget to mention 5*. And the team. Highly recommended . And a mention of the fab wine! Yes the place to be under those multi- coloured giant umbrellas! 😃
D. K.
Just here visiting for the day, a bartender recommended this place. My husband and I were both very impressed. Great tasting chowder, served in beautiful dishes. I'm gluten free and they were very accommodating. I also had the crab claws which were fresh and amazing. Great service and atmosphere.
A. S.
The best place to have fish in Cork city. I just love this place and it's always in my go to places for dinner when I visit Cork. The fish is always fresh and the crab claws are just out of the world. Portions are good and you will never be disappointed here. We ordered prawn tempura, sizzling crab claws and white sole. Can't wait to visit again.
B. O.
I dont normally go OMG but it just has to be done in this case. We got a lovely warm welcome and were seated within seconds. We shared the sizzling prawns to start which along with the soughdough bread was the best we ever had. My wife ordered Hake which was cooked to PERFECTION & served with small potatoes chunks and bean/chorizo. I went for the freshwater prawn tagliatelle. BOTH dishes were the best I have ever had in Italy. Leah our waitress deserves special mention as she was so cheerful and helpful. Indeed the whole team appear to work as one. When in Cork DO NOT MISS an opportunity to visit here you WON'T be disappointed. Brendan & Janet
D. N.
Informal seafood place. Nice room and food, both starter & main we're very nice, and not too expensive. Service was a little off, with drinks slow to come, and being asked for puddings before we had been served mains. Squid starter particularly recommended.
L. K.
Stopped for quick lunch. Had gorgeous chowder, full to the brim with a variety of fish. Will be back.
D. M.
We were allocated a seated booth inside which is perfect in these Covid times. Plenty of space to enjoy our meal. The lobster was fabulous and the mussels too
C. E.
If you're a fish lover and you're visiting Cork this is a must go place. Lovely dishes always incredibly balanced. I already tried their chowder, prawns, seabass, crab claws but still not the fish & chips which seems to be other customers favourite order - with a wide variety of fish options! Top notch.
N. G.
Delicious food, very friendly staff, they had space for us even though we didn't have a reservation. A very pleasant experience
M. B.
Food was delicious.. Highly recommended who love fish 🙈
B. W.
Starter was amazing, but the main was to much to then manage although still tasty. highly recommend the squid to start!!!! Service was a bit slow but considering how busy it was for a Sunday they where very kind and helpful. Suggest to book in advance
J. L.
We were lucky to get a seat without having a reservation. I know it's a chain in Ireland to a degree, but it definitely is still family owned and operated. The fish and chips were awesome!
M. D.
Absolutely the best food served in a fab friendly atmosphere with the best service ever, I have put a review on their website, check out the full story

We just have had a takeaway meal of Salmon
& Hake with a seafood chowder to start from this restaurant, it was just superb, for anyone who like fish this Restaurant/Bar is the answer. Lovely friendly Staff aswell.
P. A.
Best fish IV ever had this place is a cut above the rest , lovely inside with great staff and a nice pint , had a very large stock of wine and spirits also but the food is just amazing you won't be disappointed
M. L.
Food was delicious and the staff was so nice! Definitely going to come back when I'm gonna happen in Cork again! 😊
J. D.
Great fish and chips! Superb menu, good service and beautiful decor/ambiance. Had a really good chowder and a monster piece of cod in a great batter.
Ž. K.
Amazing food and excellent service. We have been served by waiter named Marko who was very friendly and helpfull.
Would love to visit again!
C. G.
A top class seafood restaurant. The quality of the fish was superb. The service was excellent and we most certainly will be back!!
A. L.
Brilliant atmosphere, very friendly staff couldn't do enough so helpful fantastic food, great value, very clean, will be dinning there more often, plenty of space between tables
A. B.
Visiting Cork, some friends booked here for us to meet. Food was delicious, beautiful restaurant but lacked ventilation. A couple of staff were excellent however a number were inattentive and unresponsive.
E. O. b.
Food is gorgeous and the restaurant was very clean. Also very festive and welcoming
The staff were lovely too
M.
Went in late for a snack. Friendly staff and decent food.
A bit overpriced for the quality.
J. C.
Top notch! Living in Cork a few years but was never in Quinlan's. The new interior is very nice, great good and very helpful staff. We will certainly be back.
G. O.
Awesome tasting food! Very friendly service! Nice atmosphere!
F. N.
Excellent is the only word to use! Amy did a fantastic job of catering to our every need. Her recommendations were spot on. We had the prawn and crab claws for an appetizer, and the seafood curry special as a main. The food was fresh and cooked perfectly. The wines perfectly matched our choices. We will definitely be back next year when our ship returns to Cobh.
S. M.
Best fish around the tempura prawn are the best ever and staff was very helpful, they let us order from lunch menu on request which made my gf day 😋 higly recommended
D. C.
One of the nicest places for fish in the city, would defo recommend for take out or sit-down meal....
M. C.
Great family meal in comfortable, safe surroundings. All credit to a super team @ Quinlan's.
F. B.
It's a nice, cozy place. I had the sea bass and it was tasty, having the influences of the middle east. My friends had the traditional fish and chips. The fish had a lot crust from the batter. But it tasted really good.
A. L.
Great food, really nice service. No bookings at the moment though. Had to wait in the queue for about 30 mins. Understandable under the current covid restrictions. Would definitely recommend it.
A. D.
One of the best fish and chips in Ireland, the tartar sauce is amazing! Friendly and professional staff.
Highly recommended it.
M. M.
Great food and service. Lovely place
E. M.

Food is beautiful! Fresh and delicious. We also tried the cocktails that are very well balaced with amazing flavors. Service was fast and staff very kind. Highly recommended.

Excellent dishes, very good fish and chips and the best service. Really nice waitresses!

We were lucky to get a seat as this place was bust but Wow, the meal we had here was amazing. We had the Muscles with cream and white sauce and Soda Bread. Lovely atmosphere and very friendly and efficient staff. Great Meal and service Thanks.
M. K.
Food brilliant..a bit of a draught chilling the restaurant...lovely selection of 🐟 🐠.
D. P.
Nice seafood bar. Nothing too elaborated but nice. Most of fish is frozen but well prepared and presented.
The place is clean and staff is nice.
I hope to see more options in the menu in the near future (less deep fried options would be good)
I would love to see more places like this in Ireland.
M. A.
Delightful place with great selection of fish. Super friendly staff. Highly recommended
A. P.
If you love/like seafood, you'll love this place. A friend recommended Quinlan's and it didn't disappoint. My boyfriend and I had dinner here on a Saturday night (we made reservations the night before, seeing how busy it was on a Friday night). We shared the squid as a starter, he had the wild haddock and I had the sizzling prawns. The squid was tender and light. It was our first real fish and chips experience in Ireland; you pretty much get a whole fish filet, batter tasted very light. The prawns come hot and boiling in a delicious sauce. Reasonably priced, not too expensive. Definitely worth recommending
Á. N. C.
This has to be one of the best sea food restaurants I have been too my husband loves seafood and we will be back.
M. D.

Cannot recommend it enough! So impressed with this place!

Best seafood ever!!! I've had seafood in Maui, Hawaii and the food at Quinlan's beats Hawaii's food hands down!! Try the Tempura Prawns and the Whiting fish in the "Fish & Chips," you won't be disappointed; it's big enough to split too!! The Baileys cheesecake is great too!!I wish I could ship this restaurant back to the States it's that good!!!!

The days special was a very small portion on a small plate, more like a starter, yet it was not priced or advertised as such. Please note, I have been a fairly regular customer and most of the time the standard was quite high. I went in again since then and have found no reason to complain, except the fish was cooked in seed oils. I would butter or coconut oil, as they are healthier.
B. P.
Great food, quick efficient and friendly service. Will be back. 👍
A. T.
Good Food and Waiters are fine! All clean and big variety to choose
E. I.
Hi had lovely dinner yesterday it was v nice great fish and Even nicer homemade Chips . Very friendly staff lovely to be able to go out again for food . Will be back . Well done 👏
T. O.
Attentive service and very fresh fish. Oysters were gritty, but they're tough to get right...
I. d.
If you're visiting Cork, call this place and make a reservation. We tried 4 different courses on the menu and for tasting them all, they are of extremely good quality. It looks very good and taste even better. Cork is an expensive place and this restaurant is one of the rare way to get more than your money's worth.
A. H.
Excellent starters - sizzling prawns & crab claws...the salmon salad and pan seared salmon were good
T. G. W.
Can’t explain how much we love this place!

Staff was lovely, recommended the hake for their fish and chips options and may I say it was DELICIOUS! 100% worth waiting in a q for a seat and prices were very reasonable!
D. K.
We didn't have a reservation and the staff seated us at the bar, which on a rainy Saturday night in Cork was as good as we were gonna get. Service was impeccable all around. We were looked after by 4 members of staff for different parts of the meal and not one dropped the ball, service was timely and friendly. Food was amazing. I generally prefer fish with my partner only usually persuaded to have seafood, but both dishes and the starter were superb throughout. Dessert and wine were lovely. Would definitely visit again.
M. O.
By far the best seafood restaurant in Cork love it
And really lovely 😍staff.
F.
Marco is a charming and lovely host, and anastasia the most beautiful, welcoming hostess. So friendly and helpful. such amazing service and the crab bake is to die for

Nice, fresh sea food. The service can be a little slow as it gets very busy.

Just ate here and I was strapped for time, luckily the staff there was super accommodating. Great food and great pricing (plus it's near the St. Patrick's Quay bus stop).
L. K.
Had a lovely lunch outdoors here today. Great set up in Prince's street. Food and service excellent. Very continental feeing.
A. C.
My favourite restaurant in Cork! Staff is so professional and friendly, very good service and the food is simply delicious!
N. F.
A super duper fresh fish lunch with a glass of Three Wooly Sheep
A. S.
Fabulous tagliatelle, cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere and music.
J. F.
My wife and I ate here last week while in Ireland and absolutely loved it. It was the best food that we ate anywhere in the country. Their seafood chowder at this location was incredibly flavorful and full of perfectly cooked chunks of fish. I had the pan roasted hake and my wife had the sea bass dish. Both were absolutely wonderful. The flavors they incorporated into the dishes were very good. My only regret is that we only got to eat here one time while on our trip. We would gladly go back here again to eat!
A. G.
Stepped into this place with high expectations that were definitely met! The staff is incredibly and sincerely kind and welcoming. Food is absolutely amazing (would highly recommend the lobster!).
Would definitely come back next time! :)
G. F.
Really great seafood restraunt well worth a visiting in cork city
C. W.
Overall a good meal. Fish was always perfectly seared. Risotto was fantastic. Hake was a bit bland. We were disappointed that there were no prawns in the restaurant (apparently for several days) since that's what we came for. I wish there was more variety on the menu. That said, the restaurant itself is lovely with good ambiance and good service.
D. K.
Great atmosphere. Brilliant stuff.
C. G.
Lovely food, very efficient and friendly staff
J. O. C.
Exceptional food and staff service again. 10.
T. P.
Fantastic food, excellent customer service.
M. D.
Loved it, large servings, fresh fish.
J. M.
As always Quinlans food was exceptional. I had the crab claws and it comes with sourdough bread to dip in the garlic butter. Delicious. The 3wolly sheep sauvignon blanc is a perfect match. The staff are friendly and courteous and the service is great. I would definitely recommend it.
t. c.
Best fish. Have their own boat.
j. j.
Lovely seafood, everyone must give it a try ....
R. K.
Great food, friendly staff and cosy atmosphere
P. B.
Really great food. Excellent atmosphere.
Had squid, prawns and 6 oysters to start. Mains were 2 x fish and chips and a pan seared sea bass. Last dish was a langoustine pasta in a basil oil. We had 2 cokes and a half carrafe of a reasonable good rioja. Total was €137 for the 4 of us...
Maybe 15% over priced based on similar restaurants but this is just nit picking to be honest.
That's the only fault I could find!!
P. H.
The food in this place was really good. We had the crab legs as a starter and as mains we had fried squid with fries and a salmon salad. The portions were really big, the quality was amazing and the service was nice and helpful. They say they have an award wining smoked salmon and it shows. The food in this place was really good. Fantastic!! Honestly I don't want to share this gem of a restaurant with anyone.....! Compliments to the chef! I tried the smoked salmon salad, crisp salad, fresh and beautifully presented. Just looking at the plate, was enough to make my taste buds anticipate! The choice of wine, Cassie suggested, another WOW! Clean, neat, well placed tables and the waitress Cassie, is a champion for this business. I enjoyed the food, prompt service and friendliness so much, I returned the following evening. The Thai fish cakes, best I have ever had. Thank you Pepe, and Cassie, see you again next week.!
M. M.
Exceptional fish and chips! The salmon is also fantastic
S. M. D.
Super food & great service, top class!!!
J. M.
We dined here for the first time this week and we weren't disappointed. If you love really fresh fish and incredible seafood you will not be disappointed. I trrcommend the crab claws and the John Dory both of which were really great. The service and ambience are good and it is good value to boot. What a gem - great atmosphere and wonderful food. Beware though - portions are enormous and after two courses I had to return to my hotel and lie down. Service was friendly withput being intrusive. I was on my own on a business trip but felt very comfortable. I hope I get a chance to go back and try the apple crumble.
E. C.
Lovely food, good service
K. L.
To me, the best seafood in town. I love the space (it doesn't feel like your typical seafood restaurant), the food, the service, the wine list. It is GREAT!
Try the Scampi, the Crab Claws, the Mussels and the Fish & Chips with fresh fish!
G. R.
Discovered this while randomly passing near with a friend. We ordered 2 traditional fish&chips of whiting. It tasted delicious. Also we were near the kitchen while eating and everything coming out was such good looking we were tempted to order more. Definitely would come back here next time I'll be in Cork.
C. P.
Quinlans has wonderful food at a good price. My wife and I ate at the restaurant, when travelling to Cork for work, three times in a week. Their fish and chips was delicious and hit the spot for our cravings with the seafood chowder on the side to warm us from the chilly evening. Their grilled salmon was beautifully plated with the perfect portion of asparagus, potatoes, and fish. The onion rings are superbly fried with a taste beyond what I've had from other onion rings.
j. b.
Words can not justify my experience here. Hands down the BEST food I have EVER had, and I eat a lot. Every bite of each dish was sensational. I sat there and ate my entire entree despite the fact that I was beyond full. I couldn't allow food that genuinely amazing to not be eaten. It deserved to be eaten, each and every single last bite. If you have a chance to eat here, do not hesitate.
C. M. S.
Arrived without booking and was made welcome and seated immediately. The Menu is to suit with lots of fresh fish option.
I ordered the fresh Plaice and it arrived in ten minutes or so. It was well presented with fresh cut chips, mushy peas in a bowl and tarter sauce.
The meal was excellent and the fish was beautufilly fresh and not frozen. The chips were also freshly cooked. Overall it was an excellent meal in good surroundings. I would recommend this to singles, coupled and families. They also serve beer and wine and I would say it would suit a party too. I look forward to a return visit.
W. O.
THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT THE MENU ALSO BUT IT WAS PRICED ON THE HIGHER SIDE OF COMFORTABLE
M. S.
We sat and ate outside on the street during a mild summer evening. Stumbled across this marvellous spot which had super seafood that was fresh, flavourful and affordable. Lovely and helpful staff to!
S. O. R.
I love fish and I like food that dont take too much fuss to make! Cannot beat fresh fish cooked very well. A real gem of a place. Find this Seafood Restaurant on Princes street Cork city. Well worth a look see. If you like fish like I do you will enjoy here!
F. H.
Friendly staff with a nice lunch menu
E. R.
The food at Quinlan’s was amazing - we enjoyed salmon with asparagus and potatoes, crab claws, and the prawn tagliatelle. All very tasty and served in great time, even though it was a busy Saturday night.
The staff were attentive, friendly and really welcoming, especially Gabriella and another girl who we sadly didn’t catch the name of.
Really recommend to anyone dining out in Cork!
M. B.
We came for lunch on a Sunday before heading to the airport to go home. The service was very good, food was absolutely delicious and came quickly. Quite a traditional seafood menu, I had the muscles special and my friend had fish and chips - classics and done very well. Definitely recommend it here!
J. B.
Can't recommend this restaurant enough. Freshly prepared fish dishes at reasonable prices. Overhead a conversation amongst locals who espoused the chef's ability..ya gotta go!
T. S.
One of the great fish restaurants in Ireland🇮🇪. Reasonable prices. I had Fish🐟 (hake) and Chips🍟 outdoors on the street and loved it. Brought back a kind of normality.
A. C.
I have eaten in quinlans multiple times and to put it quite simply we are never disappointed. Fish in this place is always on point, perfectly cooked and beautifully seasoned. Service is prompt and there is never a delay on the food.
Restaurant looks clean and a comfortable amount of fancy.
O. N.
Quinals Seafood has a wide selection of seafood dishes. We definitely enjoyed our selection. The service was good. On the weekends, they get busy. The layout of the restaurant is engineered to be quick and efficient.
There is no wheelchair accessible parking. However, the entrance and the bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. #accessible

Delighted I stopped Of at Quinlan’s on Princes Street , Cork last Tuesday, All thing’s Considered as our Unusual life continues, As I walked into The Restaurant Ever care was taken before I was Seated on a Very Clean and Sanitised Table , This Place is Easy , Not Prententious, The Care Of the Management and Waiting Staff Excellent, The Food Even Better , I has the Smoke Salmon Salad Which was Superb , Way to much Salmon I took some home , and they even boxed the Brown Bread I had not touched , Beautiful Desert Menu ( I Didn’t Try) Small But Inspired Wine Menu, Beer’s and Soft Drinks available, Yes I Had a Wonderful Afternoon by myself , and it’s 5* From me , Will be Back soon .
S. C.
Wonderful restaurant for seafood! The tagliatelle with prawns and pan seared sea bass tasted perfect! The wine list was also very well done. The pinot grigio was perfect with my prawns! The service was also very commendable! Unfortunately my husband had a headache (nothing to do with the restaurant) and we had to leave shortly after they served our main course. The gentleman who was helping us packed our dinners up and helped us to get out quickly so we could get back to our hotel. We will definitely be going back!
S. G.
Solid food with great value. Really great wine menu. The service is quite fast even when the place is crowded, and that happens each day at peak hours so I suggest to book a table beforehand. The Thai fish cake as a starter is exceptional - give it a try.
V. P.
The calamari was good. Very disappointed in their seafood chowder and tempura batter. Its a upscale chipper shop. We accidentally went on mother''s day, they weren't busy when we arrived, but were understaffed (which shouldn't happen on Mother's day), we waited way way too long for our food. They did give us a discount on the ticket for the wait, that was nice of them. But overall underwhelmed by the food
R. M.
Fabulous food and lovely setting
J. B.
Well worth the wait, very pleasant service. Food excellent as always.
A. A.
Food was delicious as advertised, but the service was inadequate. It took 15 minutes for a server to visit our table just to take our drink orders. We were rarely waited on, and felt as if other tables were given priority over us. Due to the lack of service, our stay lasted 2:30 hours, and much longer than anticipated.
I do highly recommend this place solely based on the food, and I hope their service improves.
A. P.
V nice food but only wine and no beer. So bit disheartening for a beer lover like me. But as they say white wine with sea food goes well, we did the same.
The fish cake among the starters is the one I like most and the crab in the main course is my favourite.
Starters around €10 , Main course are around 25€ , and desert around €7
K. T.
Lovely family meal enjoyed on Saturday tea time. Mains and deserts were enjoyed by everyone. The quality of the fish is what sets this restaurant apart. Efficient friendly service in relaxing surroundings.

Absolutely fantastic. My girlfriend and I ordered the squid, I got the haddock, she got the crab claws, and we got the baileys cheesecake. Everything was the best. I wouldn’t change a thing in terms of what we ordered. Probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. The squid came with an exquisite sauce. The baileys cheesecake was better than I expected, very flavorful.
M. S.
My wife is a Cordon Bleu trained chef and somewhat hard to please as am I. This was a most enjoyable meal. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned very well. Plentiful servings and very good service. A++

My best experience of Cork so far.
Lovely fresh fish done beautifully.
In a country that prizes its fried fish, they pan fry all kinds of delicious fish from hake to salmon to squid, with delicious flavours and great presentation.
The portions are substantial so you won't leave hungry for sure.
The best fish I've had in Ireland so far!
E. W.
I came here for fish and chips on a rainy evening. The customer service was decent and the wait for the food was acceptable. The portions were pretty large and I loved the outside batter on the fish. It was absolutely amazing. For the first few bites, I was impressed with the food, but as I ate, I noticed that I was getting a ridiculous amount of scales in my mouth. I pretty much had to stop and dissect the piece of fish to pick apart the skin which had a full layer of scales still on it. Needless to say, that ruined the latter part of my dinner. The fish itself was still well cooked and the chips were decently filling as well.
However, getting mouthful after mouthful of scales was disappointing for me.
M. C.
Nice typical Irish Seafood restaurant. The service was nice, smilly and adviced us well. The lobster was really tasty, and the fish and chips was really good. One of the best I have eaten.
M. M. M.
This was a case of "when in Cork, try the fish!". We wanted to visit a nice fish restaurant during our stay, and the hotel receptionist advised Quinlans. She was absolutely on the button!
The standard of a restaurant, should be measured in quality of food, service, and value for money. Quinlans exceeds all expectations for each category. We hadn't even booked a table, but were told if we could wait just a little while, they would seat us. it was less than a 10minute wait.
The menu is excellent, with great choice throughout. Their wine menu compliments this.
We were served by a waiter who was on his first night, and while some might not be comfortable about that, everyone has to start somewhere, so we just helped him out as much as possible. He did make a mistake with the wine, but we didn't mind, as everything else was close to perfection. The food was exquisite. I chose from the specials on offer, and I can still taste them, they were fabulous.
Location wise, Quinlans is basically in the heart of the city, and easy to find.
If you are in Cork, and you fancy visiting a super restaurant that's not going to cost and arm and a leg, you should definitely go here.
R. N.
Good seafood as reasonable prices and really cute decor!
A. H.
I never eat crab in Texas, just hasn't ever tasted right. Here it was amazing!
E.
I really enjoy coming to Quinlans, I've been there a good few times now and have been stuffed every time. They have some good gluten free options, the servers are lovely and the food tastes so fresh when it comes out. Worth every penny!
M. O. R.
Went to Quinlan tonight with my wife for her birthday dinner. The food and service was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful food, lovely people and very warm atmosphere 😊
M. D.
This is a great fish restaurant in Cork city - lots of variety on the menu and all the fish is fresh and of good quality. Tried the Red monkfish and prawn Thai curry this time - the sauce was a bit flavourless but the quality of the fish was excellent. Would go back next time I'm in Cork!
D. H.
Great seafood restaurant in Cork. The location is very nice and it looks like it has been renovated recently.
The Staff is very fast and friendly and the food they provide is great. We had the Seafood Chowder, prawns and Fish (Cod) Chips and everything was tasty and very delicious!
A. T.
Severely understaffed the night we went, there only seemed to be one waitress serving the whole restaurant and one chef cooking all dishes in the open kitchen! Severe waits ensued and our table was never cleaned properly despite being promised, floor was also a bit grubby and vacated tables left uncleared.
Wine list is really not appropriate for a seafood restaurant, although it's good to see that all wines are available by the glass. We tried three of the whites and they were all too sweet for seafood (even the Pinot Grigio!).
On to the food, which was mostly good. Smoked salmon is justifiably famous. Oysters were good but could have done with a few more accompaniment options. Squid small pieces but very tender. Sea bass main was decent. Unfortunately, the hake main was very disappointing and should never have been sent out by the chef. It seemed like the last few scraps of hake and far too thin to oven roast, so it was really dry. The accompanying cassoulet was tasty. None of the serving staff asked us at any point if we enjoyed the meal.
This place has promise but was overall underwhelming on the night, and the wine list needs a revamp. More staff would definitely help!
B. M. E.
Staff were very polite and helpful upon arrival. Shared a lovely garlic and chili sizzling prawn starter followed by the special which was a huge piece of sole. The only dampener on an otherwise fresh-delicious lunch was that the mash potatoe was very cold. Still all in all, I would highly recommend!
C. P.
Food was delicious, but we were charged full price of almost 20 euros for a plate of plain pasta (for child) -- the original dish had prawns and other items, but we were not informed that the plain pasta would cost the same amount. Once we had our food, no one came to refill drinks or check on us.
S. F.
Great, exquisite fish and food in general however the service was very poor. We waited 25 minutes for our plates to be cleared and when we asked for dessert menus, we were just forgotten about so we just got up and settled the bill because we wernt being served at all at that stage. It wasn't even 6pm so wasn't that busy. We were a family of 3 so wouldn't reccomend for families.
J. S.
When you stand outside the restaurant, the first thought is, what is this, then the door opens and you can hear the music streaming out, and the smell of the ocean. This was my first time at the little restaurant and again I was a little apprehensive. But looking at the menu at the extensive selection of not only starters but main courses, and the wine and beer selection, you get the feeling that allot of prep has gone into this. We where ready to order, and then the waiter told us the special, lobster, well that was a given.. it was absolutely amazing, please if you are in Cork City, this is the place to go... thanks allot for everything...
D. B.
Delicious food, excellent service
N. M. I. (.
Excellent food in both quality and variety, efficient staff and tasteful, soft décor. The maps and charts on the walls are fantastic. Would highly recommend fans of seafood to check this place out.
J. O. L.
Booked for 4 delighted when put by the front window. Wrong move only ordered a main course and a coffee was waiting for both we waited for the coffee so long they gave it complimentary. Food was delicious though maybe more staff required me
M. O.
One of the nicest meals out in Cork that I've had in a long time! They do seafood and they really know what they're doing with it! Best seafood chowder I've tried in Cork. The scallops starter was great, the sizzling prawns and black sole were sublime. The tarte au citron was simply superb. Very busy restaurant and it deserves to be, advisable to make a reservation.
J. H.
Wow. Absolutely magnificent food.
Staff friendly and the place is comfortable and clean.
Highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
A+
E. M.
Delicious food and amazing service!
p.
Great place! Great service! Prices are reasonable! Asked for a mocha but they didn't have one on the menu. So they made one just for me. Thank you! Highly recommend it!
S. B.
Consistently blown away by this place. The food, whether it be the fish salad or bread is always so so fresh. Great wine list and staff to match Highly recommend it for any fish lovers
C. K.
This place had the best salmon I've eaten in my entire life. The soup was delicious as well. You will not regret eating here- this will be your new favorite!
D.
Excellent chips and good range of fish. I would suggest that some meat dishes are made available eg fresh chicken goujons or burgers. It would be an easy addition and would help attract families.
Whilst we were eating a number of people looked at the menu and didn't enter.
Service was grand but nothing particularly special.
E. J.
Best fish and chips we've ever had. Absolutely fabulous batter, chips, mushy pees and I swear the fish was still breathing when it got on the plate. Great staff.
E. B.
Amazing food! We shared 5 starters to try and taste as many different things as possible and we were definitely satisfied! Must have the mussels and the squid!!!
E. H.
The best prawns and calamari that I’ve ever tasted in Ireland. Will def return for more. Highly recommend this seafood restaurant.
K. L.
Jacob was an awesome server. I wish I could take him back with me instead of some of the ones in the states. The food was excellent! The layers of flavor and texture were some of the best I have had in my life.
L. D.
Top class. Excellent - best squid I've ever eaten and fabulous monkfish scampi. Side salad was beautiful and fresh plus dressing was excellent.
D. M.
Best food in Cork great staff thanks as always dom and shiela
S. N.
One of the best place to have sea food..
The fish & chips is amazing yummy and crunchy. Great atmosphere and services from staff
P. M.
Great place for seafood. The service was a little slow but the food was absolutely divine. So, with this glowing rating, why only 4 stars? The service was slow for a slow night and I thought the prices were a bit steep for the portion sizes. Overall though, I would go back.
R. B.
Everything we tried to amazing. Fish and chips, shrimp sandwich, and especially the chowder. You are doing yourself a disservice if you do not try the chowder. The staff was very friendly and quick with our order as well.
I. S.
Perfect!
I. H.
We only spent 2 nights in cork but the food was so exceptional on the first night that we returned on the 2nd night and was not disappointed. Would highly recommended if you like seafood. Staff were lovely too
M. K.
This place was superb in food, value & service. We were there in the afternoon, beautiful day, outside seating, what more could one ask for 🎉🎉🎉🎉
J. O.

T. T.
My favorite restaurant in Cork city
M. M.
Great food!!! Awesome Staff, very helpful, family friendly with our one year old. Loved the menu!!! We’ll be sure to come again if we are ever in Cork!!!
K. F.
We had lunch here and loved it. Can't wait to go back. The fish was so fresh and cooked to perfection.
S. F.
Beautiful food, all 3 courses were delicious.
Lovely lovely staff.
Highly recommended!
S. S.
Seems to be a local chain but man was it delicious! Seafood chowder is amazing. As was everything else. We left full and happy and with our wallets happy as well.
R. F.
We were recommended by the hotel to go to Quinlans for seafood. The chowder was delicious and it had lots of fish in it. According to the internet their smoked salmon won awards and the maitre D gave me a tasting. It wasn't oily and just delicious. My wife and I had Black Sole which was a little salty for us but again we cook with no salt and may be fine for others. While we were eating we saw monster size portions of fish and chips being served. Overall we had a great meal at Quinlans Seafood Restaurant.
R. D.
Food was good. Although a little pricey.
Starter came instantly. But main course took 50 mins because they forgot about us and our order. Staff were very friendly
Z. A.
A poshed up fish and chips shop. If you are in the mood for fish and chips this plane is well worth it. If not, don't come. Very little meat on the menu and fish is delicious, which is exactly what I want from this sort of place.
K. T.
Amazing food world class service
P. C.
Delicious menu and great atmosphere Very helpful finding us a table. Would definitely return. Stairs a bit difficult
d. f.
Great fish restaurant in Cork city centre. Surprising lack of other fish restaurants considering Cork is a port city. Great selection of different fish and shell fish at a very reasonable price with fast service and helpful staff.
P. “. S.
The food was nice but the portion size was about half of what you would expect for traditional fish and chips. At 13 euro, it's too expensive to visit for a regular lunch.
G. M.
Delicious food and lovely attentive staff. Safety of customers was a priority as all staff wore masks tables cleaned and toilets very clean.
J. S.
Had crab claws to start and crayfish mains. Both were superb. I would recommend this restaurant for great fresh fish and seafood
C. T.
Some of the best Fish and Chips you can takeaway in Cork City, in my opinion. Reasonably priced for a good sized portions.
G. L.
Busy Sunday night. All food is fresh. 4 kids options (battered fish, tempura prawns, mussels and squid). Overall a lovely experience.
R. T.
Let me say this, the food was nice. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because the service wasn't great coming from a certain member of the staff
K. M.
Extremely tasty food. They make fantastic prawns and squids. Friendly staff. The place doesn’t look like usual Irish bar, it is clean and cozy.
D. B.
Lovely food, nice relaxed city centre restaurant. Fish dishes really, really, good and, very fresh, superb side dishes. Excellence choice if visiting city, shopping or working in city. Serving throughout the day.
B. C.
Absolutely fantastic. Food excellent. Great atmosphere. Staff so helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend it.
S. H.
Wow! Best seafood EVER!!
We had to stop ourselves from ordering everything on the menu because there was no way we could eat everything we wanted to order!
Everything was absolutely divine!
G. C.
Food was excellent. However the place was very cold especially by the main door.Every time the door opened to let someone in/out the spring kept the door open for an extended period letting in the cold air.Last night the temp was 4deg.
s. g.
Good food, huge servings for the main course
K. J.
Nice seafood and fish restaurant with fair prices and helpful staff. I really liked the chowder and the salmon, the quality of the products was excellent. Better to book a table during the weekend.
E. T.
Great food, huge portions, very polite staff. Menu lacking variety, some things unavailable depending on season/catch.
G. R.
The variety of seafood options was impressive, the pricing was affordable, the speed of preparation was surprising yet we never felt rushed and most importantly the dishes were excellent.
W. G.
Exceptional service, and even better food. Had their special black sole, my wife had swordfish steak, and the croquettes to start. Truly amazing. Will be back.
P. O.
Fish with a twist Went to Quinlans on the recommendation of a colleague of mine. We both decided to have sea bass which was very different served with couscous , spices and yoghurt. Really healthy and imaginative dish . The waiters were very efficient and happy too. Will be back

I've just walked in on my own for lunch, they surprised me with a really fresh and lovely oysters, then I passed to my starter with a tasty smoked salmon sandwich, but the star was the mussels, amzing, what a freshness and lovely taste, I think the secret is in the withe wine cream, service was very friendly, and my waiter Joaquin was very helpful.
