E. D.Great food, great atmosphere, would definitely recommend
Sophie's is the perfect place to celebrate an occasion. The food was great and even though it's on the pricey side the portions were massive. We got a starter, a main and sides and were stuffed half way through the main.. but the food was so good you could keep eating. Even though we were stuffed I'd very much recommend getting a starter as they were amazing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Drinks are also on the pricey side but they were definitely not unreasonable.
K. P.What an amazing place. I could not fault anything. The Food in Sophie's Restaurant was second to none, even Gordon Ramsey would be singing its praises. The interior design is so unique, everywhere you look has something else to catch your eye. The staff could not do enough for us and made us feel very welcome. They all seem to love their jobs. The atmosphere was so relaxing. We will be back again soond
M. D.We went here on Friday night and were blown away with how amazing the experience was. The staff were fantastic, friendly and professional. The management were also terrific. The views of Cork port were stunning the weather made it feel like we were holidaying abroad. The decor in every room was absolutely out of this world, the finishes, the lighting, everything was very high quality and beautiful. The food came out very quickly and it was lovely. I would highly recommend a trip to the Dean. I will definitely be back again really soon. Thanks for a fantastic experience.

A. M. K.My three friends and I had a fabulous evening in Sophies recently. The food was fabulous, but, the staff really made it. They were so friendly, helpful and in good spirits. A bit on the pricey side of meals out, but a lovely treat nonetheless.
The staff in the bar downstairs were also very friendly. They even threw out a few dance moves to the music being played (even if they didn't think anyone saw them...we did🤣).
A 1st time visit and a long overdue night out...and probably our last night out this side of Christmas, or for a while to come!☹A great start to the Christmas festivities, and got us all in a great mood for the evening. We got in just before the new Covid-19 restrictions. PHEW! 🤣
J.Tasty food. Nice comfortable booths. Music lively but (thankfully!) not too loud. Attentive friendly staff. High up looking down over the city. Magical.

T.We went here as a hen party. Our waitress Laura couldn’t of been more attentive and helpful. With all the restrictions at the moment, the set up is brilliant, they were able to sit us all outside but in a really well heated and covered area, so even though it was raining we could enjoy the meal. The food was lovely, Laura and the staff were constantly over checking if we needed anything, kept the drinks coming and made sure we had a great night. If you are visiting Cork, Sophie’s is a great choice for a meal.
A. M. O.I visited Sophie's for recently. The restaurant itself is stunning, the decor is beautiful. The food was delicious. The restaurant staff were all friendly and the service was excellent. The only issue I had was when I first entered the hotel downstairs all the staff were milling around looking into phones talking in groups. Having never been there before I had no idea how to get to the restaurant and had to approach the bar to speak to someone. People sitting downstairs on laptops shouting across the room at each other is off putting as well. It would put me off the hotel slightly but the restaurant is amazing. The view is to die for.

M.Visited Sophie's rooftop restaurant yesterday for my Niece's 40th birthday lunch.Had brunch there the previous Sunday just to see the venue for our Wednesday lunch .Spoke with a very nice girl regarding a suitable table as my 90 year old Mom was one of our party of 5.This girl reassured me she would reserve this particular table and absolutely nothing was a problem or too much trouble.Regarding our Sunday brunch my husband had to send his food back as it was unrecognisable ,it was so burnt! We arrived Wednesday to be greeted by the rudest member of staff ,who told me he was one of the managers.Our table wasn't available and when I explained the conversation I had on Sunday ,he said "well you cant choose a particular table",all very understandable if this was related to me on Sunday .The table we got was so in such a windy part of restaurants that our cocktails blew over and water glasses also.I understand the weather can't be helped but that particular member of staff was appalling. All the other waitresses were so nice and polite and the food was good .Need to look at management I would say .

S. O.Beautiful decor and a lovely addition for Cork but very surprised that as a party of five, one asked for a Bacardi which they didn't have !!! We asked for a bottle Sauvignon Blanc which they didn't have and couldn't offer another similar option !!! and another asked for her gin to be in a gin glass which they didn't have !!! Never like to be negative but hopefully Sophie's will cater for all needs in the near future

J.Design, location and menu concepts are outstanding. Execution, service and hospitality are left to be improved. Food is uninspiring and lazy on pair within slow service. Not hopeless but needs loving manager and chef who cares. I mean your most expensive item beef ragu Gnocchi- this is a just a bland mice with canned tomato, it can be a great cut beef slowly cooked in tomato to perfection, with rich moist beef falling apart in your mouth just as it should be. Unless improved ignore food come for a drink.

K. L.Lovely spot. Lovely food however a drink was spilt over a friend and the staff member was more than apologetic, however this wasn't acknowledged, bit surprising because the customer should be sole focus for returning. Other than that all good but the girls dress was soaked through 😏

B.Wow what a wonderful experience, I had family coming from UK I have not seen in Two years we normally meet once a year but the virus put paid to that so left to me to replace our regular venue as they were not open, what a stroke of luck, Sophies was outstanding food to die for ambiance relaxing our waiter was superb he must be telepathic as no sooner we talked about what we wanted there he was and he got everything correct, the comments at the table were constant we had everything we could eat no room for desert but one cheeky person requested a cheese platter (they don't do it) but up it came delightful, my family said it felt like a dinner party at home we almost forgot we were in a restaurant a big thank you to your wonderful chef and all the staff but especially Elaine who took my booking and instilled i was booking with confidence you didn't let us down, cant wait for the next visit' keep doing what you do as it's delightful' now i have to go and cook, thank you.
A. F.Had a work do here last Friday. The décor, style and feel is modern trendy and welcoming. We were sat at the rear terrace which was okay. The chicken burger was decent and went down well. Service was slow - and it wasn't at full capacity or anywhere near. One of the lads waited 20 mins for pint of Guinness and another poor soul spilled a cocktail on another guest - to be fair it could happen to anymore and she was apologetic/mortified. Defo worth and look, bit pricey for basic cuisine and slow service.
