Disappointed!! Tried non veg thali (Chicken and Lamb) and Veg thali as well. We asked for spicy food, we got raw chilli taste from the curries and Dal but the chicken and lamb gravy was good. Biryani was the saving grace it was good. Momos not good enough

Amazing and recommended also for whoever does like spicy food On a Saturday night in Cork I could not find a table anywhere and I ended up here. I am not really into spicy food so I tought this was going to be complicated however they got a couple of options so I have ordered one of them. The first thinf they do is to offer you some sort of poppadom with tippings while waiting and it was super nice. I have ordered an entry+ main and I could not finish everything. Quantities are generous and the foos is just magnificent. So many different flavours combined in a lovely way.

Excellent little Nepalese jaunt in a quiet street in Cork city center. It was easy to find a spot on the outdoor tables on a rainy weekday evening but the place is packed on the weekends so you’ll need a booking. We had the classic chicken momos (Nepalese dumplings with spicy tomato garlic sauce!) , chicken tandoori which came on a sizzling hot plate. We also had the chilly chicken( a Nepalese-oriental inspired chicken stir fry) . The naan was very good, they served us some poppadums and chutneys while we waited for the dishes to arrive. Service was nice :) Will be back to try more Nepalese specialties!

Staff are always friendly in here. This is the first Nepalese restuarant I've been to, and this restaurant has single-handedly made Nepalese food one of my favourite cuisines in the world. Have had a few of their dishes on the many occasions I've been here, like the Nepali chicken curry (pictured), kheer (Nepalese rice pudding), momo (Nepalese dumplings), and butter chicken (one of my favourite dishes ever. In fact, I taste-tested every Indian and Nepalese restaurant I could find in Cork city centre and the surrounding area for their butter chicken, and Thali was the best). A friend of mine told me about Nepalese food, which I had never heard of before then, which got me excited to try this new cuisine, and wondering where's the nearest place I can go to get it. And then I overheard a man mention a Nepalese restaurant on Pope's Quay (this was before they moved) while I was at my semi-local Chinese, and soon after, I discovered Thali, and never looked back. Now, I've decided to introduce some of my friends to Thali, in the hopes more people will discover this place, and possibly find their new favourite cuisine

Visited this place today with friends. I must say that it is the best in the Cork that serves you genuine Indian and Nepalese food. Every dish was unique in taste and delicious also. Above that the Gajar ka Halwa and Kheer were just unbelievably tasty, we couldn't resist ordering it back again. Would recommend to all the Indian, Nepalese and asian food lovers. Situated along the river in the city centre. The people in the restaurant were really lovely and friendly. No one would come upset leaving this restaurant. Perfect ambience. From the onset, as you enter, you find yourself in Nepal, very beautiful decor including Tibetan flags, Buddhist artefacts, Nepalese table cloths and traditional music. The place is very clean and the service very friendly. The food is amazing. The Mo:Mo for starter makes you ask for more more, the fish curry is to die for. Excellent diner experience! (EDIT): They have just moved place a couple of weeks ago, the new place just looks as great as the previous. The food remains uncompromised. This restaurant offers all you need from a good night out for dinner. Very friendly and prompt service and no waiting for the best Nepalese food you can find in Ireland by far. They are the best!

Best Indian/Nepalis food in Ireland, Honestly. Living in Ireland from so many year but never had so authentic style Indian food. Food was just simply delicious. Thali is must as it have plenty of dishes to try and eat. Taste was just awesome and spice/heat combination was just perfect, everything was cooked well too. Daal remind me coming out straight from the our own indian kitchen 😍. Staff and service was brilliant as well.

Visitors to Cork, my aunt and I decided to get Nepalese tonight when we saw Thali had good reviews online. After a little difficulty finding the place, we were glad we kept up the search. This is a lovely restaurant with really nice food, good options - great for vegetarians - and sound staff. Nice atmosphere too. There were so many nice-sounding choices on the menu that we went for a medley of starter portions of different dishes so we could try a few different things. My aunt got the chickpea dish and the cauliflower & potato one. I got the lady fingers (okra) and dumplings (with meat in them). We were both really happy with our choices. They were delicious. The servers were just the right amount of attentive. We really enjoyed our meal and would both definitely recommend.

We went for lunch in Thali Nepal and the food was so tasty! Not one of us left any food behind. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The lunch menu was 9.90, and that is an amazing price for what we got. Don't change anything and hopefully ye will get more people coming to your doors.

I am a regular customer at Thali and although I have tried lots of different items on their menu and found them all to be delicious, I am addicted to their YOGI RICE. You have to try it, it is so delicious and nourishing. And I love their chai too. The staff there are always so warm and welcoming and it's clear that they take pride in serving their traditional cuisine. There is LOVE in this food, so go and try some if you know what's good for you.

Decent place, clean, nice atmosphere but not quite suitable for the uninitiated. Food is good, but with a distinct taste, not for the unused westerner palate. Staff is friendly. If not accustomed to it ask for medium level of spicy. Mango lassi is very good. Apparently the chiken biriani is excellent, from what an Indian friend fold my wife.

Nepalese thali is the best Indian restaurant in cork according to me. Two dishes that I like the most are Kukhura Ko Mashu and MOMOS. Awesome food.

Spicy food with large portions. Don't ask for medium spicy here as in general food is very spicy. We ordered chicken biryani and mix and match curry which comes with a mix of chicken, lamb and prawn. The mutton was bit hard and I couldn't eat it as it didn't cut through the knife. I would request the owner to have proper ventilation in the restaurant as on summer days it becomes very hot and you need air-conditioning with that spicy food!
