Had some drinks and food. Thomson lite lager beer was great, worth try if you love lager. Also had Nachos, garlic bread and some chicken wings. They were all good. Nice place. Can definitely try once.

Staff are excellent. We went for lunch today and the lunchtime offer is unreal. When you know you know. €12 for a drink, taster and main. No cutting corners portions are proper sizes, there is no gimmick here. Thank you will be back soon

Had a dinner reservation nearby and popped in here for some cocktails beforehand; so glad we did, cocktails were gorgeous, it’s a lovely spot to people watch (we were sitting outside) and our waitress Samiksha was excellent, she was so obliging. It was a very busy evening and she was non-stop making sure everyone was looked after.

Partner and myself were in for dinner and drinks earlier. Absolutely amazing place, the atmosphere is so relaxed and the music is fantastic. Great friendly welcome form 3 separate members of staff. Given a choice of seating, drinks orders taken straight away and food shortly to follow. The portions of food are massive! Cocktails and own brewed beer are to die for! Found the service to be much to our style, the servers aren't all over you all the time but as soon as you need one they're right over! Would definitely recommend!

Just want to say awesome work to Thompson’s for having allergens on their cocktail menu. Very rare and great to see (especially for my partner who is always nervous about her allergy getting drinks). Only had outdoor drinks but staff were fun and really friendly.

I've been in this pub twice now , having pizza and beers. Both were amazing , first time I finally find a thin base and crunchy crust . Thank you for the pizza , one of the best in cork . Homemade beers really good aswell . Ciao

a month ago In Cork Graham Jeffrey of Thompsons Restaurant and microbrewery agrees with his colleagues that restaurateurs will want to make whatever rules allow opening up, work. “It has been too long really. Really at this stage we want to get open even if it is only the vaccinated – there is no choice. It was this or stay closed until September at least”. Let's hope the few weeks until September are worth it. I and many more won't be dining in any restaurant that openly discriminates against a portion of the population for a medical procedure still in trial stage highly recommended 👌 👍 😀 😉 😄 👏 👌 👍 😀 😉 😄 👏 👌 👍

We went for tea coffee and brownies at 4pm.. it was lovely. The service is polite and smiling. The brownie was fresh and delicious with the chocolate ice cream.. a must try ! We will definitely come back. Thank you

I was in Thompsons two nights ago and wow what a treat! From start to finish my night was wonderful with A1 service and accompanied by a lovely atmosphere. I ordered a delicious pizza cooked Romano style! Our waitress Amy was superb she made us feel really welcome and provided excellent service with a smile! I will 100% recommend to everyone.

We were visting from Dublin and this was all we could find open during nea lockdown without prior reservation on a Saturday night. They accomodated us and the service was good. The atmosphere was okay, but admit that it is hard to do much with outdoor seating on a sidewalk during lockdown. My partner ordered nachos and I ordered pizza and we shared. We both agreed that they were both among the best such food we have had in the last year.

Lovely building and the interiors are well done. Not family friendly as no highchair available. Beer is pricey. Food was nice, just very small portion sizes, got the fries as a side to my burger and feel like it was less than half what you would get in similar bars in Cork. Also felt very rushed by staff, even though we were only in the premises for a little over an hour and it was very quiet inside.

We were on vacation in Cork, we went in one day for the daily lunch menu offer and we were surprised, the atmosphere was very cool, the COVID protocols were maintained at all times, the food was delicious, the waiters were charming. The next day we repeat :) One thing, spicy wings DO HIT A LOT!!!!!!
