Great spot for a traditional Irish breakfast. Tony's is a Cork City institution. Good menu, lots of options for those with small or big appetites. There are veggie choices too. Inside and outside seating available. Reasonably priced.

We stayed in a hotel in Cork City recently. The facilities in the hotel were excellent but as one of our group was vegetarian there was no allowance made by hotel food wise for them. We phoned a number of places seeking an omelette. Tony's Bistro kept coming up. We arrived and there were about 10 people in a queue. The food was excellent, the service excellent and one of our group got the omelette. Quick, fast, efficient and great value for money. Make sure when in Cork if you want a decent breakfast, go to Tony's Bistro in North Main Street.

You cannot beat the atmosphere this little cafe offers. Food is always good, very friendly and quick service once you are seated. It's very popular, which is a great sign, it just means that sometimes you may have to wait to be seated. If your looking for good honest food, especially after a night out in the city, then make sure you eat here!

I tried the Irish breakfast. It's enormous, and the price it's OK. It has two sausages, bacon, hashbrown, a potato thingy, black and white pudding, an egg and some toast. The waiters are very kind and the place is nice and cozy. I highly recommend it if you want to try traditional Irish food.

The atmosphere of the restaurant is very rushy but the staff are very nice. I also ordered the pancakes and they were not what I was expecting. They were the same quality as the ones you get on the McDonald's breakfast menu, definitely wouldn't order them again. My partner got The Godfather breakfast and said everything was nice except for the sausages. I'm not sure that we would return, our local cafe has much higher quality breakfast.

I never thought the day would come when Tony's bistro would get anything less then five stars , I always have (and still will) highly recommend Tony's bistro to everyone and anyone looking for the best breakfast in cork , staff are very helpful and friendly food comes out fast and is always good food. On saying that I hated the sausages I got there last day now it isn't that i just didn't like them i hated them they where a different sausage to what i had got there in the past and i know it's a small thing but it was a shock to me as the place has such reputation and i would still go back there every day of the week.

Aw good ol tonys, little unpretentious place located on North main street. Tony's do breakfast right. If you find yourself on the search for a cure I'd fully recommend this place. Tonys Bistro is a classical place for breakfast. The variety, service and atmosphere is second to none. The kindness I have experienced here is unbelievable. It was my husbands birthday and he was given two lottery tickets by the owner. What an incredible touch. My son, wife and family have had similar experiences. Wonderful place and wonderful owners and staff. A definite five star all round. Mags.
