K. O.Maybe the best burrito in Cork. Saw some reviews here complaining about serving sizes but, as at September 2021, I can tell you that the burritos are hearty. If they were any bigger then they’d be too big.
Love the black rice and the optional crushed tortilla chips. The chipotle sauce is a winner. The spicy options are also legitimately spicy, but not overwhelming. The tomato and red onion salsas are the business too.

R. F.Have to say I was quite impressed with both the burrito & a bowl that I ordered last Saturday & Sunday. All the ingredients looked & tasted fresh including their daily made guacamole. Both times I arrived late afternoon so can’t say what it’s like during busy times. But all my visits the place was clean and staff extremely helpful & friendly. Thank you Zambrero for bringing delicious Mexican and adding the feeding the hungry initiative!

I've been to zambrero before and like the food here.
This dessert was lovely, well presented and tasted amazing, staff were super friendly too which is always nice. Came here with friends and we all ordered different things.
Great spot to go for a dessert or a nice coffee.

s. m.I'm writing this review stuck to my couch full to the brim, the food here is unreal, came in bio pack which is great and the charity they help shows what a good place Zambrero is. Food which is very tasting feels very clean too will definitely be ordering again

P. S.Myself and my husband had lunch here a couple of days ago, I had the chicken burrito, it was beautiful. Love the black rice, never heard of it before! My husband had the lamb burrito, he said the meat was very tasty, I love all the different choices of salad, rice, salsa etc, everything looked and more importantly tasted very fresh, and the hot sauce is actually hot!! Portions are very generous, in fact I didn't bother with dinner that evening, we also had a coffee afterwards, which I thought was good quality, the service was friendly and efficient. I also was very impressed with the 'plate for plate' idea, they donate a meal to disadvantaged people for every meal they sell. I'll be back!
B. M.I love Mexican food, so I went out of my way to try this place. The Mexican restaurants in town are either terrible or average, I wasn't getting my hopes up about this place. It blew me away, I have gone back a couple of times now since, and have really enjoyed it each time. I love the black rice in there and their sauces are actually spicy. Unreal. Highly recommend it!
S. K.Had a delicious Chicken Burrito that cost just €6, available as a special offer on Mondays. Added Guacamole for €1 extra. The meat was tender & tortilla nice and warm. The veggie ingredients tasted really fresh. Just the right portion too. A separate coffee counter serves barista coffee, but you can pay for food & coffee while getting your burrito. Nice setting too, modern with wheelchair accessible bathroom. Will be back!
M. J.Excellent, tasty and healthy food and fast, friendly service, whether you're eating in the restaurant or taking away. Great for vegans and vegetarians also, plus helping a great cause. Prices are very reasonable and also include a donation of a meal equivalent to someone in need in developing countries, in Central and South America. Fresh juices and hot drinks offered at the separate drinks counter. Usually good music playing.

M. I.Went in for a quick bite on a Friday evening. Ramen next door was packed but we wanted a Mexican. Came up to the door and lights were on but couldn't see any people inside inc staff. Popped in and ordered a burrito and a bowl. Small portion of beans, meat and even rice. Wouldn't really describe as Mexican but healthy food. Expensive for what it is. Better Mexicans restaurants in Cork.

I have been in since and I do feel that I should increase the rating. I gave such a low rating because I ordered through deliveroo one day and got the most tasteless veggie burrito, with an uneven ratio of toppings, waaaay too much rice. We visited recently and I got nachos and it was the same story, lashings of sour cream and cheese but very little of everything else. In saying that, the staff are lovely and the restaurant is always so spotless. My kids love the fondue but I would recommend changing coffee supplier, it's just so bitter!

C.lovely Mexican place, modern quick Mexican food, like subway but with burritos and tacos. nice decor and friendly helpful staff, the burrito I had was delicious!. they also have a scheme where every main meal purchased buys a meal for a person in need, so you get to eat and feed a hungry person. bravo all round
