Stakes managed to squeeze is in on Saturday night and boy were we glad 😊. Great atmosphere, really friendly staff who are helpful without being overly attentive a great choice and most of all delicious food at very reasonable prices. It was the barmaid from the Railway on that recommended Stakes and we are so pleased she did. We'll be back

This is a stand up, decent restaurant. We had just come from mountain walking and wanted good, uncomplicated, hot food, fast. We got big burgers and chips. Wow. These were great burgers. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the restaurant was buzzing. Staff were COVID aware and took all precautions.

The staff were fantastic and the food was outstanding. We ate there two nights in a row. Had the fillet steak on the first night. On the second night I had the grilled chicken fillet burger and sweet potato fries and my partner had pepperoni pizza. Very reasonably priced.

Beautiful steak. Didn't take a picture of the middle as I savaged it. But perfectly pink in the middle and tender enough that I didn't need a steak knife. Pepper sauce (not pictured) was lush. Would highly recommend.

Stakes is ok. The Tbone stake was delicious and my kids enjoyed there meal. Only thing I will say is that we were waiting a good time for some one to bring the desert menu and we had nearly finished our desert before my daughters arrive. Overall its a grand spot.

Was pleasantly surprised when I entered Stakes. Very welcoming. Great choice on menu and when the food arrived it was very fresh and tasty. Portion just a nice size. Vegetables were just nicely cooked. Staff friendly and nothing phased them. I shall be back on my next trip to Bundoran.

Not what I expected. Nice exterior and a complete opposite inside. It was also spoilt by some customers with extremely loud kids who had zero control over their screaming kids. The restaurant staff never said anything to them and let them run riot. The food was not too bad, however the dressing on my little salad as a side was way too sweet to my liking.

Had an absolutely delicious dinner today! Everyone’s meal was just lovely! Pizzas were amazing! The lady serving us was so warm, friendly and polite, it’s my first time since COVID that I’ve felt relaxed somewhere! They’ve adapted so well to the changes and what’s been asked of them! What can I say. Beautiful food even allowing that we had a coeliac with us nothing was any trouble for the lovely caring staff. The food blew us away and all sides were made gluten free without having to be asked “so ye can all share or rob”. I cannot recommend Stakes and look forward to coming back for a massive feed.

It's actually better than I thought. Food is nice and the place has a good atmosphere. Staff are friendly and kind and service is fast. It's not fancy, kind of middle of the road. But a lot better than some of the cheap restaurants in Bundoran. Hearty meals and decent menu. Good for families with young kids or babies.

The food is between okay and good. I had the house burger. The meat was good. The patty was really thick. The sauce was sparely on one side of the bun. The cheddar was not molten. Overall it was an OK-burger. But nothing special. The staff seems overwhelmed. We waited a long time for our bill, and even longer for the payment. But they are all very friendly and apologize for everything.

Hadn't been to Bundoran in ages and wasn't sure about going here as I'm quite fussy but was with a large group and they had a table free to suit us. On entering the waitress couldn't do enough to accommodate us and was so friendly. I ordered the mixed sea food tagatelli, which came out in a creamy sauce. There were king prawns, salmon, muscles and some other fish in it and did disappoint as I love seafood. Very generous portion size too which was excellent.

But if you call yourself stakes restaurant and only have 2 types of stake you fall way short of being a steak house by a country mile, also big helpings doesn't make it taste any better, if more choice on the stake side and a better quality of chips and sauces avaiable it would be a place to visit over and over again.

We had a burger and the surf & turf steak with prawns. The shrimp were ok (but nothing special), I would not order again. But the steak and burger were extremely good for the price. Service was also friendly and fast, and the atmosphere was very pleasant (Irish pub halt). Definitely worth a recommendation. Und wieder mal ein Geheimtipp von mir mit einem Restaurant bei dem man günstige Steaks in sehr guter Qualität bekommt. Wir hatten einen Burger und das Surf & Turf Steak mit Prawns. Die Shrimps waren okay (aber nix besonderes), würde ich nicht noch mal bestellen. Aber das Steak und der Burger waren für den Preis extrem gut. Bedienung war auch freundlich und schnell, und die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm (irischer Pub halt). Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert.
