I. B.An excellent set up. Been going to Sage & Stone on and off for years, and the development of this establishment incredible over the last 12 years. A stylish place with fabulous products and food options. I had a delicious vegan wrap and the coffee is top notch.
J. C.First time in Sage & Stone today 10th of July 2021 and most definitely won't be my last. Location is great plenty of parking.. The outdoor dining set up is fab.. Food is fab... Staff are fab... I really honestly cannot say a bad word about the place..
C. M. G.Went here for Christmas afternoon tea for four. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Sandwiches and cakes delicious. The Prosecco was continually on tap. Tea and chips provided at no extra cost. Wheelchair parking and toilets. There is also a beautiful Christmas showroom with everything you would need. I did however find it cold so wear your warm clothes. Worth a visit.

Lovely ambiance and lovely new gift shop and take out and deli I would highly recommend it.
J. R.Their turkey lunch sandwich was the best sandwich I’ve ever had. Full of flavour, filled to the brim and made with soft tiger bread. Something I’ll remember Ireland for when we return to England tonight.
My coffee was amazing too, compliments to Bewley’s.

P. H.Just reviewing the coffee really, went to the take away cabin today, coffee was beautiful, I forgot to look at the brand they use. Got a scone too, was pretty good. Nice outdoor picnic tables in front of the takeaway cabin. It was tidy and well kept. Plenty of relaxed customers about taking in the fresh air and making the most of the end of summer. Will come back to visit the restaurant sometime.
W. M.Lots of seating and quite spacious. The menu is full but uncomplicated, with lots of nice breakfast and brunch type options in the morning.
M. W.Staff were really nice and the place is lovely but some of the food was super bland and dry, in particular the burger, the chicken sandwich and especially the burrito bowl. Although the staff were lovely, there's definitely room for improvement with the service. Some of our party were sitting with food for 5 minutes before they received cutlery. All in all, it didn't feel worth the price.
A. o.Lovely place but the kitchen closed at 12 -12.30 we arrived at 11.50 and we were told we were too late for Hot food and had to settle for tea and scones
C. k.My brother treated us to lunch here. While it was extremely busy and there was plenty of staff working, our table seemed to be neglected, we had to ask for service, stop someone and ask could we order, stop someone and ask could they clear our table, stop someone and ask could we order desserts. If it had been just me I would have left. My brother also had to bring his kids to a different building to get their ice-cream 🤷♀️ the food was lovely, I had a very large crispy chicken Caesar salad and coffee cake for dessert. My mam got soup and a sandwich, and cheesecake, which she said wasn't nice, and a cappuccino that she didn't drink. The toilet was clean and had toilet roll. All the decorations are for sale so the whole thing is lovely, just the service let it down badly.

A. F.Very nice place with a good menu, reasonably priced, and nice staff. However, two smallish gripes: 1, I ordered a plain chicken sandwich on untoasted white bread. When it arrived it was on brown bread and toasted. 2, the chairs are very bum numbing.
N. U. L.Had Excellent 'healthy breakfast' at Sage and Stone this morning 🌄 . Very attentive staff. Thoroughly enjoyed experience and then nipped into their newly opened gift shop which was full of Xmas gifts. Will be back.
K. B.Great place, they have done a lot of work during lockdown. It is well organised, good atmosphere and food plus excellent staff. You may have to book at busy times and make sure you have your Covid Vaccination Certificate.
D. D.I enjoyed the food, but it was a bit expensive for what it was, and that cost it a star. I got the €13 Breakfast as pictured, and it was very well cooked. I can't fault the food. The staff were friendly, the decorations were quaint, and the surrounding country side is a brilliant view. But in my opinion, €13 for a breakfast like this is just a little bit expensive, and looking at the menu, a lot of the dishes looked ever so slightly overpriced.
Realistically, if you're after value for money, there are probably other places within a 10 minute drive. But that's probably an issue with me, rather than this restaurant. I can only take off one star for the price involved, because otherwise its a lovely location.

G. O.Duleek's answer to Avoca but at half the price. A little hidden gem that is attracting increasing attention. Very tasty food, mainly of the light brunch or lunch variety. Lovely decor and very friendly service. Best of all is the pricing - it is very reasonable and will appeal to everyone's pocket. Worth checking out the attached gift shop too. Highly recommended.
R. H.I have no idea what sauce/jam was on the eggs Benny but, as a man from the states where our only authentic "US" cuisine is sauce, it was incredible. 10/10 Would recommend.

We were greeted by a lovely little black pig no one seemed to mind her walking about .
Then by an older lady who was conscious that the tables were cleaned before we were seated, She had nothing to worry about as a young friendly lady had it under control.
The lunch menu was simple, clearly priced and with good choice. There is also a breakfast and a dinner menu.
Quickly our order was taking the home made butternut squash was silky smooth and our sandwiches freshly made and bursting with filling .I Ordered a coffee and it came in a large cup with a perfect creme top.
Over all i'll be back and brining the children next time .

L. M.Recently availed of their new takeaway service. Very pleasant staff and a well presented setup, with some socially distanced benches to enjoy the lovely food on. The only downfall is the price, €7.50 for a takeaway toasted sandwich on it own, is a little steep.

R. W.I had a fabulous breakfast with my family 7 of us in all. the restaurant has been newly renovated and looks great, lovely and bright. the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I had the omelette which was delicious, the rest of the family had a mix of dishes from egg Benedict, french toast, the full Irish and all were very happy with their choices, big pots of tea which were top up for us. I would highly recommend a visit.

G. M.Sage & stone used to be one of our favourites but the last 4-5 times we have been there we have been very disappointed with the food. Portions are small and food has been poor. From burned pancakes to uncooked chips, seems like they just don't care anymore.
Staff are friendly and deserts are not bad, but food is not worth it anymore.

B. M.We have eaten here on quite a few occasions and the food and service is always really good. The food is always served piping hot and their chips are worth a special mention, they are exceptional! Highly recommend Sage n Stone.
S. B.If it wasn't for the 3 people that were sitting beside us and smoked in my children's faces while eating, it would have been easier to rate this cafe higher. I asked the staff if it was permitted to smoke outside as there were no ashtrays. Unfortunately they said yes but to be fair they did say they could move us inside. But the shine had worn of at that stage and so we hurriedly left. We should have known given the cigarette butts strewn around the culprits. Shame to end an otherwise lovely weekend like that.
It might be an idea to have a designated smoking area to protect the children.
