Nice restaurant - went a few friends and we chose to sit outside. The service was super delightful, the waiters were full of smiles and slidded into jokes easily making us very comfortable. I ordered the Chicken Supreme with potato which was fabulous and the chicken was so tender. For dessert, I ordered the White Chocolate cheesecake and wow... That was delicious! Loved the restaurant. The only downfall is the price - I was a bit astounded by just the price of orange juice 😅 However, i guess that fits in with the fine dining experience

A good fine dine experience. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food and drink choice is good. The price is on the upper side for sure, and may not be fully worth it given the outdoor dining experience, and the selection in menu, atleast I felt was not upto the mark. Surely a restaurant to try.

Food was very good but the people serving it didn’t know what they were serving - when we asked they said the wrong things and always came back to correct themselves. When asking about wine recommendations to our meals we were very disappointed, they didn’t know much.

Really enjoyed dining in Bang. Food was great and the service was excellent. Their cocktails are really good too - I'd highly recommend! We accidentally knocked over one of our cocktails and the waiter brought us a replacement on the house - really appreciated given that it was our own fault for spilling the first one! Complimentary Limoncello at the end of the meal was a very nice touch and was really good too! Would highly recommend.

Best service and staff in Dublin, we were served by Felipe who was so accommodating, professional and hilarious. He looked after every member of the party, brought a congratulatory token for my brothers graduation and joked all the way through every course. Food and drinks were delicious but the experience was topped off by the amazing staff. 10/10 would recommend and will be back. Thank you!

It has been a great dining experience at BANG restaurant with gorgeous food and very professional and friendly staff. The starters were tasty and the portions very satisfying, the fillet steak was cooked to perfection and the sides were very well combined. The staff took very good care of us we were asked if we need a blanket in case it was too cold and the service was top notch. We have been very pleased with the overall quality and definitely a restaurant where we'll come back.

Lovely Restaurant with friendly attentive staff. Went here on a date night with my Girlfriend. We had a late reservation so the waiter came to us immeadeatly to give us an update on their meal availability, including only 4 oysters left, we let him know we would like these and he ran to the kitchen to secure them for us! A little extras go a long way in my book and Bang tries to give you the extras!

Absolutely superb food, with the duck cooked to perfection. The kitchen was quite slow leaving us waiting for almost an hour for our starters, which the waiter and then the manager apologised for. They were very nice in offering complimentary wine for the inconvenience. The staff could be somewhat more attentive, but overall a good experience.

My bf and I have visited BANG a second time on Sat Jan 12th at lunch time. I gave Bang a 4* last time but this time I have to change my scores to 5* overall because we had a great experience! We had the set-lunch menu, 3 courses for 37.5€ if I’m not wrong and each had a glass of the recommended wine pairing for our mains. I ordered Jamon Serrano as a starter, Gnocchi as a main and a pecan flavored dessert. My bf had the artichoke salad, chicken and a rhubarb and vanilla dessert. My notes: 5* for the ambience, excellent for a romantic lunch or just to meet friends. The music selection was great but it wasn’t too loud so it was easy to enjoy the music and the conversation without having to choose :p 4.5* for my food: the size of the starter would be small on its own but perfect when part of a 3-course menu. The jamon was melt-in-your-mouth and the quality of olive oil high (and comparisons to olive oil from the south of Italy are often tough). My gnocchi also were perfect. Last time I had them were too salty but this time I could taste all the flavors. The merlot paired to my food was good, both drunk alone and in combination. Dessert was sooo yummy. I love peanut butter so I’m biased but what I liked the most was the fact there was a good combination of flavors and consistencies and it wasn’t overall too sweet. 5* for my bf food: he really liked the combination of ingredients in the artichoke salad but loved the chicken. He said the meat was juicy and the pairing to a Pinot noir was excellent. He also liked a lot the rhubarb and vanilla mousse but the chicken really was the highlight for him. 5* for the price of the set menu, even if wine is truly expensive so I might not have a glass every time I’m there. In particular, it feels a bit disproportionate when compared to the price of the food. However, the quality of the wine was high and no one obliges you to have it ... it’s a choice 5* to the staff. The girl working the lunch shift was great! She was very polite and funny and attentive. I was impressed she spoke close to perfect Italian and a bit of Spanish. Such a nice girl. I’d recommend BANG for sure! It’s undeniable it’s on the pricey side but I think the set-menu offer makes it accessible to different wallets. Will go back for sure :)

The place is lovely, perfect for a romantic date. The staff are super attentive and friendly. The food was so, so good! I loved every second here, it's true that the restaurant is a bit expensive, but you get high quality ingredients, and that's the most important. My experience was satisfactory and I'd recommend this place to everyone who enjoys good food. On a side (funny) note; we got this 'award winning water' called 'Fior Uisce' and my idea that 'water is water and it all tastes the same' has just changed.

Tasty food in a great city centre location. The hake was delicious, cooked perfectly. I thought the black pudding starter could have been better. Four of the others at the table ordered the lamb and thought it was good. For two courses with a glass of wine we paid 29.95 each. We felt we needed sides too so shared three between six people which adds to the bill. There was a service charge of 12.5 percent bringing our bill to 226.79 in total. Staff were friendly and helpful.

What a great surprise! We were a group of 16 people and they handled us like pros. The food was served perfectly timed, the waitress and manager were extremely polite and always smiling and we had the whole top floor only for us. Most important than anything was the FOOD: dishes beautifully presented that left a mark. Maybe not the most elaborated ones but definitely very well executed. Finally, even the wine was outstanding. All this for 65€ per person which, seen the quality and quantity, was a perfect value for money. I will be recommending BANG

Have purchased two at home meal kits in the last month. First was for my partners birthday and both of us enjoyed every mouth full. Second was for a family member who text us all evening on how good the food was. Amazing to have restaurant quality food at our own home table. The ease of preparing the food was an added bonus. My wife and and I went “out“ to dinner at bang on Friday night. Fantastic! Restaurant and Entire service staff had been well prepped to re-open under the “new normal“. Restaurant was busy, but felt comfortable and safe throughout the meal. Everybody was happy and enthusiastic to be back at it. Of course, the meal made the typical standard we’ve come to expect when dining at “bang.” Ordered the steamed mussels Entrée is our appetizer. Fantastic. The ribeye and halibut were equally good. Nice to be able to share a few bites from each other’s plates. Go!!!

The food and flavors are interesting; the raw oysters are served with apple and elderflower for example. The staff was really lovely and since this was the first time I was dining alone, their kindness made a huge difference. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is that the portions are a little small and the prices are a little high for the location/atmosphere. Ate here on Friday night before the Ireland v Scotland rugby. The restaurant was busy but the service was great. The food however was even better. The food we had was delicious, well presented, simple with great flavour from unfussy ingredients and presentation. My halibut was so good i'd have had it for desert but decided to have something else equally as tasty! Though the bread might just have stolen the show! Book it and try it for yourself if you live in or are visiting Dublin..

The gnocchi was different and the nicest my husband ever tested. The desert was small and perfect, I wish all places had a small and tasty desert like that, it was the peach with cream cheese ice cream. Go for it.

Very tasty New Irish food. The flavors are exactly what you'd expect, but the execution is great. The service however was poor: - While standing in place, one waiter who seemed in a hurry literally ran into me. - The day I visited they had a special menu that included prosecco; I told them I don't drink alcohol and they didn't offer a substitute. - They sneaked an "optional donation" item into the bill, and when I asked for it to be removed, they did so, but not before arguing with me. - More subjective, but my waitress was quite brusque from the get go, which made me feel unwelcome.

We booked the top flour out for a hen party. It was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and so helpful with getting the decorations out and catering to our every need. They were very accommodating as we were the last to leave. The food was amazing, really creative dishes with great flavours and cooked to perfection. The presentation was fantastic, especially for the carrot starter. There were a huge number of stake orders which all came out exactly as ordered and at the same time. Really enjoyable experience. Cant recommend enough for a large group or party. We will certainly be going back.

I've been here twice, about a year and a half between each other. It's always highly recommended. Both times I have been disappointed. The food has never been horrible and the service always friendly. However, the food has never been nearly as good as advertised by the various hosts that have brought me here. I have selected the beef option at both visits, medium rare. Both times they cooked it to the proper temperature. But both times the cut for the evening was just a cheaper cut from the butcher and left a lot to be desired. I left both times feeling like they choose to save money on ingredients. So I've just been underwhelmed by BANG after trying it twice.

Bang @ home: Best lockdown date night ever! We got beautiful wine, snacks, starters, mains, desert and cheese! Everything was amazing from start to finish. All packed in handy, mostly reusable tubs with easy to follow instructions. Felt like Christmas unpacking all the bits and mapping them back together with the instructions. Then attempt to do the plating up like a masterchef, all great fun and soooo delicious. Duck and beef were melt in the mouth, sides, sauces, crunch and pickles, butters, jellies, mousse everything was fab and very generous! Will definitely do it again.

We celebrated our wedding meal here recently with 38 guests (including 4 small children) and we couldn't recommend it highly enough. Everything was perfect, from the drinks reception downstairs to the delicious meal in the private dining room upstairs. The starters and dessert were really lovely and delicious but I had an issue with my main course. I told the waitress couple of times that I do not eat pork and asked them to have the chicken without the black pudding. She confirmed that it is possible. Unfortunately the dish came with the blackpudding and they took my plate to change it- the only thing they did was taking the black pudding out off my plate. Of course I could not eat it like that. Though the rest of the team was happy with their food.

We are visiting Ireland for the first time and we had a group dinner at Bang our first night that was absolutely wonderful (not always easy to accomplish with 28 diners). We liked it so much we decided to go back on our own to try other things on the menu. It did not disappoint. Everything was beautiful prepared and presented, and the flavors so delicious. Best meal ever! Very friendly staff as well. Now if only it wasn't an ocean away from home!

We are there with a large group of 36, part of a tour group. Menu was locked so choices for us were limited, but what we had was excellent. Lamb was soooo tender, and desserts were great too. I'm thinking if I had a chance I'd definitely visit this place on my own. In a city crowded with options, on the high-class restaurant side of things, this place was excellent. Wait staff was bending over backwards to make things fantastic. Very good!

Our Wedding Lunch was hosted by the amazing team at Bang. From Mark to Thelma to all the other lovely people there we had 5* service all day! Great Irish Food in a modern style. Staff were really excellent and informative. Ambiance and atmosphere really good - not too noisy, comfortable. All dishes were explained in great detail. For me this is one of my favourite restaurants anywhere in the world. I rate this extremely highly. The food is without exception marvellous, the staff are extremely friendly and the ambience is great - a lovely old Georgian style building which has been done up with style and panache. I guess I have eaten here five or six times, usually when on business trips but this weekend I brought my partner for the first time: she loved it. There is nothing that I would change about this restaurant. The wine list is excellent as well.

This amazing place should be on your 'must visit list' when in Dublin. the chef takes such pride in the taste and presentation. The food is sophisticated without being in the least bit intimidating. Alexander was our host tonight. He couldn't have been more accommodating even though the staff were bombarded by a large last-minute booking. We have followed this expert professional through three restaurants over ten years. We have spent many special nights in the care of his friendly and welcoming nature. Tonight also we met the owner of Bang. we didn't know it - the gentleman welcomed us as any professional would. no airs or graces. We only learned the man was the owner upon his departure from another guest at the table beside us. An obvious professional who possesses high level understanding of the importance of customer welcome and satisfaction. Also, he's an obvious high-level authority on correct wines and drinks. Food taste: 10/10, presentation, 10/10, drinks: 10/10, comfort and welcome 20/10... A perfect experience all round. Very much looking forward to our next visit.

My wife and I sampled the tasting menu on saturday night and it was amazing. The food was fabulous and the wine selection complimented the meal perfectly. A few considerations would be: Leave the menu on the table as it was hard to remember the make up of each course, simplify the billing and the same waitress to serve each course would have built a relationship.Overall the experience and atmosphere were very good.

Went for dinner with two friends on Saturday night, and was delighted with the initial welcome and staff courtesy. The food was to a very high standard, when compared to similar restaurants. The cost was slightly on the high side but the fact that the food was so good made it worth it. Both friends cleaned their plates and we didn't leave hungry which we have done from some restaurants. Overall its definitely worth a visit and if you get the last sitting the waiting staff are in no way pushy to get you out, we stayed chatting for ages after the meal enjoying a cocktail VERY NICE.

I purchased a 'Tasting Menu' voucher and visited Bang on a busy bank holiday weekend. We were given a warm welcome on arrival and shown to our table immediately. The menu was excellent. My first time at BANG was last Christmas, when our whole team went there for our festive season lunch. The food was good but they seemed overly busy and had many shifts before/after our meal, which was a pity as we also arrived a few minutes later and our lunch was quite rushed. However, I went back this weekend and had the chance to experience it at it's normal rhythm. There was a good buzz as the restaurant was full, but we got a table downstairs by the mirror & plants wall, which was really nice. The food was really good, especially the mains (venison, mashed potato and salsify, / polenta, sweet potato and black garlic). The dishes arrived at a good pace and we really enjoyed our night. We booked at 9:45pm which seemed to be a good time, as people were starting to leave shortly after we arrived and the staff, although busy, were really attentive.

I recently ate in Bang to celebrate an anniversary. Gerry was our server and he was so nice. It was a treat for us to go to Bang and we were made feel so welcome and comfortable. We were heading to a show after dinner and I was concerned for time but when booking I was assured I'd have plenty of time. And we did have plenty of time and at no time did I feel rushed or was I concerned about the time. The food was fabulous as you'd expect but it's this combined with the great service and welcoming staff that draws you back.

I went with the duck breast with baby new potatoes, each bite heavenly. The duck wasn't fatty in the slightest which is usually a big issue. Have eaten in Bang a lot, always the tasting menus, the food is always amazing, service always great - we ate there again on Saturday (5/9) and it didn't disappoint, the food was delicious and each course explained by our waiter. My husband is allergic to garlic and the last time we went there the Amuse-Bouche had a lot of garlic in it (I found it delicious) so he couldn't eat it (I had 2), so this time we asked if any of the courses had garlic in them, the waitress knew straight off what had and what hadn't. The main had, so she checked with the chef how much and at what stage it was added. As it was marinated with some garlic, they substituted the hake for his main. Great service and would definitely recommend. We had sat in different areas in the restaurant on different floors and it has always been good.

Our company recently hosted a conference for over 50 delegates from around the world, we had Italians and French (who would be very particular about the standard of food they eat) and Indians (who are vegans), amongst many others. We ate in BANG for one evening of the conference and I must say, the staff were brilliant (I was organising with a lady from Italy who expressed concerns about giving people a choice per course as it would take too long, her concerns were quashed immediately) and the food was gorgeous. So good that even our food concious Italian and French visitors could do nothing but compliment it and our vegan visitors were so well looked after, they were thrilled with the standard of food they received. I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone from a couple looking to have a quiet night to the large group in for a celebration. The staff handled our number without as much as a blink.

Good, but room for improvement if they want to be top notch. I composed my own four-course menu by selecting starters (there was no tasting menu), and the dishes ranged from outstanding (the seared tuna with avocado mousse and black garlic) to out-of-balance (tortellini of short rib of beef, whose onion-mushroom reduction was overpowering). Cauliflower veloute was good but all the nice elements (scallops, cauliflower...) were drowned by pouring over it. Selections of wines by the glass are outstanding (though a little pricey), but the glassware is below-par. There are now many cheap but good wine glasses around why not invest in a collection?

Myself and my fiancé (now husband) dined in Bang prior to the booking of our function and we were not disappointed. The food was wonderful, The chef really understands flavour combinations and brings a unique style to his dishes. After dining we both agreed that we could have ordered anything on the menu and be thouroughly satisfied. Bang is one of those rare places where I would be happy not to look at the menu and have the server make all my dining choices for me. After our initial happy dining experience we booked the private room for our wedding party last Friday. We were so happy with Carmel and the other staff who answered all our queries promptly and helped us organise. We were grateful that you were able to allow us hold some decorative flowers for us the night before the event. Carmel's suggested seating arrangements were also very thoughtful and practical. On the day of the event we did not have any worries about our guests needs or expectations as we knew they would be blown away. We were also then able to fully relax and enjoy ourselves knowing that we did not have to ensure everybody was enjoying themselves. People are still talking about what an incredible evening they had and Bang was certainly responsible for this. Regarding value for money, the options provided to us for three courses and the lovely house wine was very reasonable, better than we had hoped for in fact. We will certainly be recommending Bang for private dining or just dinner for two. Finally I just want to say thanks to all at Bang for looking after us and hope to see you again soon. Your staff are so lovely and very professional.

Availed of an email deal which was the primary reason for going. The email allowed an online booking but when we arrived the staff were unaware that we were availaing of any deal and were confused when asked about it. The deal overall was poor value as the only deal part was a 1/4 glass of wine. The wine was of good quality but not as good a quality as the newly open bottle of the same wine that we ordered afterwards. The staff were very polite and the food was excellent but service was very slow. we did not avail of a starter and waited over 40mins for the main course to arrive. Desert and coffee was also very slow and we had finished our post dinner drink by the time they arrived. Overall a nice establishment with friendly staff and good quality food but let down by very slow service and the fact that the promoted deal was really just a hook to get you into the restaurant and the final nail was the 12.5% service charge on the bill for a group of 5. Won't be going back in a hurry as much better value to be had elsewhere.

I had been to Bang a while back thanks to my dear friend Simone Fioravanti, from Italy, and wanted other friends, this time from the U.S., to discover high-end Irish cuisine. We went there the very evening they arrived in Ireland, visiting for the first time ever. We had lunch at Avoca and dinner at Bang: perfect start to an Irish culinary adventure. Service is great at Bang and they are extremely sweet about sorting out people's food allergies. No matter how full you are, do not pass up the potato chips, nor the coffee cocktail. Michael on the lower floor is a caring waiter and the host upstairs makes sure everyone walks out happy and satisfied.

I brought a group of Swiss lads over to Dublin recently and we weren’t disappointed with the quality of the food (they loved the homemade bread!) and the atmosphere (it was a busy Saturday night). The only hiccup was a short power cut which crashed the computer at the till. We hardly noticed this until it was time to get the bill, which the staff couldn’t print off. We finally received the bill handwritten but only after an annoyingly long wait and a few blank faces when we asked passing staff if we could pay. The power cut was not the fault of the staff but could they have handled it better? – Probably. However, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a personal call from the manager the following Monday to apologise for the inconvenience. Based on that kind of service I would definitely return the next time I’m in in town.

It was my boyfriends birthday and considering he brought me to Chapter One for my birthday I wanted to return the favor to him and decided to bring him to Bang. I have recently returned to college so the pre theatre special was ideal for my budget. Our needs were most definitely anticipated from the moment I booked and the waitress asked was it for a special occasion and when I informed her it was for my boyfriends birthday she suggested they could do something with the desert plate, of which they wrote happy birthday on with chocolate and presented to him with a candle in it. It was a wet evening when we arrived and we were made feel comfortable as our wet coats and umbrellas were taken from us immediately when we arrived. The waitresses and waiters were all very attentive (but not too over the top), they were also very warm and welcoming. There is often a misconception in restaurants of such a high standard like yours that there would be a snooty uncomfortable atmosphere but we were made feel very welcome even if we were ordering from the budget menu;) I wouldn't dare make any suggestions to the chef as everything was perfect (I had the hens egg for starters, chicken for mains and carrot cake for desert) and think I told everyone and anyone I met about how tasty and well presented the carrot cake was, my only complaint would have been I could have eaten a bigger slice of the potato bread that the hens egg was served with (but that would just be my greedy side and fondness for Boxty). I hope we can find a special occasion to return to Bang again.

I had a wonderful experience here last night. The service was incredibly friendly and professional; our server Alex was very knowledgeable of the menu and was happy to explain anything we weren't familiar with. The food itself was fantastic, of course it is fine dining so the portions aren't big but the flavours are spot on and that way you can taste more dishes as you aren't stuffed after just one. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is passionate about good food, drink and service. Thanks for a great night, I hope to be back to try the pre theatre menu soon!
