I’m not usually a fan of fish and chips because the batter could be too thick or too soggy or too tasteless. By a stroke of luck, I found myself at Beshoff Bros. Some say it is the best place in town for fish and chips. I ordered their mixed plate which consists of cod goujons, calamari, and scampi with chips. This place isn’t large but the food quality is amazing. The seafood was fresh. The batter was thin and crunchy, and flavourful. Chips were well cooked. While Beshoff Bros looks unassuming, the food quality exceeded my expectations. Will gladly return!

Dropped in for some take out after getting back late from a day bus tour, going here was definitely a good decision! For me one of the best fish n chips in Dublin. It's a cozy place for around 25 people. I come here every time when I'm in Dublin. It's close to Temple Bar, so you can eat first and drink later.

This was the best fish and chips I've ever had.... and I'm a big fish and chips fan. This is a tiny place, with just a few tables....but you have a big selection. Service was quick. Quality was off the charts. We happened to be in Dublin and we asked a local where they would suggest for fish and chips....Beshoff Bros. Was the immediate answer.

Small and well run seafood place. They serve pretty much just fish and chips (plus a few other seafood dishes), but it is really good. They gave us a lot of superfresh cod together with yummy fries. Waitress was fast and friendly. Prices are not low, though, but still ok for what you get.

Gorgeous little sit-down chipper, nothing at all like your local chippers. Interior is stunning and wait staff is very sweet. Incredible amount of (coeliac friendly) gluten free options with the majority of the menu being gluten free, including food coming from a strictly gluten free only fryer. GF Fish & Chips!!! And they were very delicious. Simple place, food arrived at our table in a timely manner. The tartar sauce is delicious too. Bring your appetite! Only one little problem: no GF ketchup! Seriously? (We ran into this issue a lot, actually. A cafe owner told us he has a hard time getting GF ketchup that tastes good but doesn't cost a fortune.) My recommendation? Find a really nice gourmet deli, and purchase a small bottle of ketchup that will fit in your shoulder bag or backpack. Worked for us! ;-)

Lovely food and very courteous staff however I do find it a little odd we have to wait for somebody to see to us if we are looking to eat in when it can be a bit empty from time to time. I understand the staff are probably trained in that way but it would be nice to order the stuff first and if we cannot sit, we can take the food away. But I would not want to take that away from the effort that the staff go to to make the customer feel welcome.

This fish and chip franchise can be found throughout Dublin. Takeaway meals seem to be their specialty, but the sit down establishment in which we enjoyed a meal in the Temple Bar area is quite popular. Delicious lightly breaded fish and uniquely chopped bits of Irish potato. Do ho and have a bite. You might have to wait though!

I absolutely love this place. I am a celiac and their gluten free dishes are fantastic. Apart from the fish and chips, I can especially recommend the gluten free chicken goujons. They use a seperate fryer and seperate part of the kitchen for gluten free dishes. I am a very sensitive coeliac, I react to the smallest amounts of gluten, and I am extremely cautious when it comes to eating somewhere else than home. But I eat at Beshoffs several times a week and I didn't have a problem one single time. The quality of the meat and fish is always great, also the chips are great. The chips are gluten free, of course, and the batter is made without any allergens. They also do take aways there. As a celiac this is my favorite place in Dublin.

As a fast food restaurant serving fish and chips, I am satisfied. Average price, good food, and very kind servers(maybe Japanese?). They recognized my gesture and asked me whether I need something before I ask them. Including this, I felt I am being cared during having my meal.

A decent chipper. The fish was tasty. One star less for this: my friends and I sat at the table near the entrance, as it was free, but we didn't notice the sign saying that you have to wait to be seated (as it wasn't in an obvious place), so we were being ignored by the staff for something like 15 minutes until we asked to be served. It seems this "beshoff bros" in dame street it is one of the few places where they know how to properly fry the cod and the potatoes. All other places make a "fish & chips" that is hardly bearable by human body. Here, instead, "fish & chips" is really good. I think the difference is made by the Italian guy that leads the restaurant. He does an amazing job.

But my major complaint was the tea, I ordered a tea which I expected to be in a pot, but I was handed a cup of tea. Great little restaurant. The staff was super pleasant. I came twice, the second time I slumped over the table from being too drunk. Instead of kicking us out, our waitress and a couple of other staff members brought water and continually asked if I was ok. Excellent service combined with just great seafood really makes this place a special treat!

Delicious fish and chips chain restaurant conveniently located in a central, poppin area of Dublin! We walked over from the Westin when we were starving, and the walk helped build our appetite! 1) Parking seemed to be difficult as there was no lot, so I'd recommend walking over if you can/are nearby. 2) It wasn't too crowded when we got there, but the service seemed to be a little slow in taking our order and serving. 3) We ordered the traditional fish and chips and it was amazing! Obviously heavy because it's fried, but when you're in the mood to indulge yourself, this is definitely worth the calories! 4) Food took a little while to get out, but it was worth the wait! We downed it in minutes. The entree is medium sized so we were "content" after finishing the meal, but probably could have eaten a little bit more. 5) Service was kind, but they were swamped and the shift change made the service inconsistent--seems like they had little communication with each other. Nice, clean place. Had a cute nautical theme going on.
