Fun & huge place! Really good & flavorful brunch, will definitely go back. The only thing was the bread in the lamb dish that was way too stale. Kind staff and fun to get inspired by different cookbooks on the way into the restaurant.

Amazing menu, great thoughtful seasonal dishes.
Helpful and tentative staff
Best coffee we have had so far in Dublin.
Great vegan options.
Good location
Beautiful restaurant space

Wow!
Very delicious food and very friendly staff.
Ordered the vegan mezze tray and everything on this plate was extremely good! Also ordered the cheesecake to try and it was so delicious and not too heavy and sweet.
There’s a lot of room inside the restaurant, so even though we went on a Sunday noon, we found a place to sit.
I can’t wait to come back for more and maybe even purchase their cookbook!

I was disappointed at the vegan option I got here. I was not expecting an almost ice cold wrap (lightly battered cauliflower was described on the menu) though I didn't mind too much, it was the lack of filling of the wrap that bothered me more. When paying upwards of 10 euro for a cold vegetable wrap, you'd hope for it to be full of tasty, fresh salad, this wrap unfortunately had three or four pieces of cauliflower, a couple of spinach leaves, some grated carrot at the bottom and an overwhelming amount of pickled onion, which overtook any other flavour that may have been in the wrap. Three stars for the servers who were really friendly and on point.

Menu options were a bit limited and service was quite slow. However I have to say I really enjoyed my dish and coffee, though definitely wish they had some traditional brunch options to appease a diverse crowd (but I think they’re intending to be different and trendy, and they do seem quite popular). They have vegan options available at least.
Service was also a bit slow - we took nearly 40? min to get our food and then as soon as we had finished were given a 10 min warning to leave.

Take note: If you are a serious coffee/brunch/cafe connoisseur, this is a place to come while in Dublin. Flat whites are very reminiscent of those in Australia (known for some of the world’s best), with beans that are clearly freshly roasted and with a solid milk-espresso balance. Delightfully done. Wide range of single origin filter coffees as well, plus a delicious/well-rounded brunch menu with freshly baked goods to boot. Pair that with excellent service and a great central city location, and you really can’t ask for much more from a cafe. Highly recommended!

Nice place for brunches. You'll find different mezze trays to combine with cocktails (mimosas!)/tea/coffee/juice.
Portion might look a bit small but take a dessert (recommend the baci) and you'll be nicely full.
Service was good and efficient. Loads of gluten-free options!
The bill can be a bit pricey so expect to spend 25 euros per head.
P. S.
Food was ok, price was ok, service was VERY sub-par. They asked us 3 times if we were done with our meal, basically telling us to leave when 2 people in the table were still enjoying their drink. Also we had to wait 15' to get seated despite lots of tables being very much free.
I'd rather get some breakfast from a supermarket and donate the rest of my cash to charity.
P. L.
A great place for boozy brunch and yummy middle eastern inspired foods. Vegan friendly. Good cocktails.

Great lunch choice. Looks small from the outside but seats over 200. It was full on my visit with a queque waiting for tables. After a short wait I got a table and a beautiful lunch. I had the Mezze Meal Tray which was delicious. Owner is a very hardworking person who is so friendly and kind. No wonder the place is full

Very good food, atmosphere with harmonious and soft decor, pleasant music. the service is good but it takes a long time.

Very nice place for lunch.
Staff is nice.
Please have more avocados next time ;-)

Best spot for brunch! Never disappointed, always happy to come back

Me, my wife and my 6y daughter visited the Brother Hubbard for a Brunch, the place look amazing and food is great.
One thing I didn’t like is the place was bit chilly and the the floor manager put us alone in a back section of the restaurant which was even colder despite that the front of the restaurant was half empty and had heaters, but after complaining couple of times they move us beside the exit door :|
Anyway food was very good but floor manager can be more friendly

Best brunch in Dublin. Amazing food and decor, the presentation and flavours 👌👌👌

Brother Hubbard became somehow a classic on the Dublin food scene. It can be very busy there and reservation needed, but it's spacious and does not feel crowded. Staff is great and do its best. But I think there is space for growth in efficiency and management processes. Using big data processes and data analysis, AI, and time management can hugely improve the flow, that your coffee won't be delivered cold, food will be hot and right temperature, you don't wait for the order but you can order via qr code, an app,... pay instantly from the table, without waiting for the service. I think in order to improve it will require some technology investment and courage to try new methods. Food is tasty, intentions good, but it's time to upgrade the flow, delivery and management methods by looking into to current worldwide trends similar to Japan, China and Asia.

Highly recommended! Excelent service, delicious food with very innovative flavours combinations and great coffee. Definitely will come back!

Delicious! Had the Vegan Mezze Tray and it was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant!!
M. S.
Great spot for brunch with vegan options and a good selection of cocktails! I wanted the cocktail similar to a Bloody Mary but they had sold out so opted for the mimosa instead. Quick and friendly service.

Great brunch place! My boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised to be able to get a table for weekend brunch the day of as we know this place is very popular. The food took a little while but it was well worth the wait. Delicious brunch items, coffee, drinks, and treats! Definitely recommend the bravas potatoes. The service was friendly and attentive as well!

Just not the food, the customer service is also very pleasing and awesome. This was my first time visit to the place. The ambience is really nice and beautiful. Brunch menus are pretty good and not very expensive. I tried the Brother Hubbard's meaty mezze tray and was delicious. The salad and pulled lamb were soo tasty. A must try for all. Will surely visit the place again to try out the whole menu.

Food was delicious 😋😍 I ordered a pork belly and it was gluten free and full of flavour. I highly recommend it
s. m.
I went here because an article said their pulled pork sandwich was one of the top things to eat in Dublin, unfortunately they don't serve that any more. The food was good, but didn't completely blow me away. I felt like the sandwich was more bread than anything. The halloumi is naturally a dry dish and I would have liked a side of sauce rather than the light drizzle. The house made cola was absolutely awesome! Overall the place is really neat, and had a nice clean atmosphere.
V. S. S.
Great food, but that ultimately causes a long queue.

This place has terrific food and great service. If I lived in Dublin I would totally be a regular. The menu has a unique middle eastern flavor, and everything is super fresh and delicious.
The pastries also looked amazing although I didn't try them.

Brother Hubbard did a fantastic job of hosting our wedding meal for 50 people. The mezze feast was an absolute success with all our guests - many of whom would be quite conservative eaters - and the space itself was very beautiful. Ellie and her team were welcoming and friendly, and took great care of us all throughout the evening - even allowing us to remain on later than originally intended. We had a wonderful evening. Thank you 😊
K. B.
Very tasty, well thought out menu. It felt like a privilege to be able to eat and drink here when clearly food is such a passion for whoever is developing the menu! Sadly it was let down by our server, who needed to be called over to take our order/get water/receive the bill, and to be honest they just were not friendly at all. I'm sure it might have just been a bad day, but it really let down the experience. I'd definitely still recommend the restaurant - the French toast was delightful!
T.
Lovely food and good service. Pretty busy spot and a nice surprise for us , being used to "bacon and eggs " kind of breakfast .
They also have a small shop up front were you can buy ground coffee/ tea and amazing treats .
Baklava was a bit dry for my taste , but still good.
Will be back for sure !
P. S.
I had a lovely breakfast. Some of the best food I had during my visit to Dublin. The meny isn't that large but it still diverse and it is hard to choose what to have. I am sure everything will be delicious and I would love to come back. Everything I had was very tasteful, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming
E. D.
In my opinion one the best place to have brunch in Dublin city center. Very welcoming and professional staff. Comfortable, cosy and safe arrangement of the space. Very well composed menu. Delicious The Eggs Baba Bida is highly recommended for brunch! There is also small store where you can shop Brother Hubbard made cocktails, and other great products crafted Brother Hubbard.
C. P.
We got the pancakes and the avocado egg toast, both were delicious, not too heavy. The ambience is really cool and huge! They had som really huge pastries as well. Toilets were nice too. I liked the staff, they dressed really fun
D. M.
Don’t even hesitate - ADD the halloumi as a side to all of your dishes! The food here is fantastic and fresh! Great breakfast menu and a really cool setting. Our waitress was from NZ so we had a good chat about her decision to move to Ireland etc nice coffee and great to watch the baristas in action as you sit to enjoy your meal. Also a huge range of baked goods to grab for on the road
M. K.
Lovely food, really recommend and i will pop in again.

I cannot rave about brother hubbards enough! Firstly the front of house are always amazing and so accommodating, the food is gorgeous portions are perfect! They allowed me and my friends to spend our afternoon there and we were waited on hand and foot! I’ve been many times and I’m never let down I always believe a business deserves a glowing review when I receive glowing service! Thank you guys so much and I can’t wait until my next brunch! Excellent staff, beautiful green indoor space, good coffee and gorgeous food!
A.
Friendly staff, decent food, pastries looked delicious, hop atmosphere. Food looked great, but flavour wasn’t there. Menu hard to decider, didn’t see regular brunch options being ordered by people beside us. Water wasn’t refilled often enough. Washrooms very far from main dining room.

had a lovely brunch before visit the guinness storehouse.
we arrived too late for breakfast which we were super bummed about, but the brunch menu was still great.
i went for a vegan mezze and my partner went for the guinness stew! both dishes were amazing. i couldn’t finish my plate, it was so delicious i was busting at the seams but there was just too much for me to fit in! the hummus was the best i’d ever had!
everything was reasonably priced! delicious.
the vibe was lovely and chill. calm casual and staff were very welcoming.
A. I.
Good breakfast. Not a lot of options
J. A. Y.
Great selection of good, quick service and very accommodating
L. M.
Beautiful and modern place but a little bit noisy..
I tried the french toast with mushrooms, eggs, kale and spicy cream. It was really good and tasty but not spectacular. The dessert was WOW! (I took the earl grey cake).
I would definitely recommend it, one of the best brunches of Dublin I’ve tried so far!
C. P.
The food is first rate.
The restaurant is light and airy.
Service is second to none.
The menu is carefully prepared and has some very tasty options.
There is an extensive choice of beers and wines available.
It is situated in a convenient location.
Well worth a visit.

Really good brunch and cocktails, nice vegan option (but serving a raw chilli is a bit crazy - would be nice pickled or something). Moroccan eggs were nice too except the bread wasn't what it was advertised as on the menu. Eggs were perfect. The patatas bravas were not good, tiny serving for 5 euro and the potatoes were barely cooked, boiled then very lightly fried so they were not crispy at all. These could be improved a lot. The sauces that they were in were pretty tasteless too. Overall really good food that would be perfect with a few tweaks.

Went here for breakfast. Upon walking in found that the restaurant was busy and full of people. Staff was pleasant, offered suggestions and geared me toward the bacon and cheese sandwich. I added an egg. All the ingredients were fresh and quality. Arugula was a nice touch and the bread held together. Flat white was nothing but delicious. I’ve got this breakfast spot marked in my bookmarks now for whenever I return to Dublin.

Great brunch. The place is gorgeous, and the vibe is really good. but the thing impressed me the most was the taste of the food (and also the quality and amount they served me). It is soooo good and tasty (and also healthy, so you get the whole package) I will come back every time I'm in Dublin.
By the way, I think there is no Wi-Fi connection, so I wouldn't recommend it if you wanna work on your laptop or whatever.

A lovely cafe/restaurant close to Tara and Connolly train stations. There are two doors to the cafe...one to the Brother Hubbard food & gift shop(used to be the original cafe which featured on Netflix ‘Somebody Feed Phil’) and the other to the main restaurant.
AMBIENCE: Looking from the outside you may think the restaurant is small but once I went in I was pleasantly surprised to see such a large and beautifully bright space. Light and airy with an Australian cafe vibe. The decor is fresh and clean with fresh plants and yummy desserts on display. Also important to say that there were all sorts of customers...mums with buggies, young groups, older couples, and office workers on their lunch break.
FOOD: I went for lunch and loved that there was an all-day-brunch. The menu has a good selection of vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes to please all types of diners, also the selection of ‘homemade style’ desserts were very tempting.
I had the ‘Brother Hubbard avo & eggs. The eggs were poached perfectly and the powdered beetroot sprinkled on top gave them a lovely lift and the spiced chickpeas were so good. I then of course had to get dessert and had the tahini & date caramel slice which did not disappoint!
VALUE FOR MONEY: a little on the high side for a brunch-like menu however the ingredients are fresh and the quality is top so value for money is on point.
STAFF: Very friendly and smiley. A bit rushed off their feet (we had to wait over 15mins to get some water) but still managed to deliver a pleasant service.
SHOP NEXT DOOR: a cosy store with a variety of world foods, Irish produce and gift items including their and others cookbooks. Also got to meet one of the owners, James, who was managing the store and was nothing short of lovely.

Have went for brunch before, but first time for dinner. So good, flavour combinations amazing. Will recommend as dinner option to friends!

I had brunch with my friends at Brother Hubbard and really liked the place, great quality and nice atmosphere for week-end brunch in Dublin. I recommend the toast rather than Veggie Breakfast :D
S. M.
Despite our order going missing this was probably my favourite place and food in Dublin. They plied us with cinnamon buns to keep us going until our food arrived. My vegan mezze was amazing!! So so tasty.
Shout out to the lovely staff too, couldn’t have been more friendly and apologetic.
A must visit.
B. N.
What an amazing experience, very nice people always smiling, from the entrance I felt great, such a good vibe. And the food was so good, excellent, fantastic. Go and check it out. For my next trip to Dublin I will definitely go and eat again here.

All day brunch
Brother Hubbar North, is a restaurant that you would not guess how spacious inside and how smart the food they make.
I went there with my gf and another friend. This was my first time. When you see from the outside it seems a small boutique restaurant but when we got inside I was amazed with its size.
Staff met us with warm welcome (there was a small confusion, which I did not understand what it was about). There was only one waitress we did not like about her but overall staff was lovely.
I have ordered vegan avocado and peppers and my friends ordered, Turkish eggs menemen and Moroccan zalouk.
I have to say that vegan avocado and peppers dish was very rich, and delicious (I added a picture of all the dishes).
Moroccan Zalouk was ok because there were like two handful of chickpea and half of an aborigine so was not rich enough to me.
I did not taste the Turkish eggs menemen because it was not vegan but my friend said it was good.
In terms of prices each of them were 10.50 Euro and my dish was definitely worth it but cannot say same thing for the Moroccan Zalouk.
Over all the food looked appealing and taste was delicious.
There is not much decoration inside and to me that was only missing piece of the perfection.

My cousin recommended me this place as my first stop in Dublin and it hasn’t disappointed. I really wanted to try all the brunch options as they looked amazing! I had the lamb mezze platter and it didn’t disappoint. Service was lovely and kind, definitely reflected well on the place. Seriously considering buying the cookbook as I’m not from Ireland
D. U.
Really enjoyed our Brunch here. Can not say a whole time favourite but the place is very comfy and the food was good. Would be back for another brunch...
D. M.
This is a lovely spot for some "alternative" food. The staff are very helpful and generally quite young. It's a "hip" or "cool" place to be, I think. There's a lot more space inside than you'd expect - some important people have even had parties there!
C. M.
Came here for lunch yesterday on a beautiful day in Dublin. I had heard lots about this place on a lot of blogs and tv shows so I decided to check out what all the fuss was about.
The place it’s self is huge and decorated immaculately.
At the time I visited it wasn’t to busy but still took the servers a while to get to me and when I asked about the WiFi the answer was very sharp that they did not have it. It’s a technique restaurants use to turn the tables over as quick as possible as you don’t get people coming in with computers but I believe it can attract international customers if offered as they don’t have local SIM cards.
The food was good but not great. Portion sizes are average for Dublin and so is the price. All in all it was an okay experience but nothing to write home about..
M. B.
Great location for breakfast/brunch in Dublin not too far from the City Center. We tried the Moroccan Special - Avocado Toast, Chick Peas and Poached Eggs along with Pancakes. We also had Hot Green Tea to accompany the meal. The food came out great.
J. P.
Loved the oat porridge with chocolate sauce. The coffee was good (flat white) but it wasn’t too warm. My girlfriend ordered a scone which wasn’t too good. Quite dry, not toasted.
I like the vibe and the staff are very friendly.
Definitely a place to come back to again.
L. H.
Great ambiance and food, recommend for brunch in Northern Dublin.
K. A.
Great food, awesome staff and fantastic customer service.
I had Turkish breakfast with a side of haloumi - it was delicious.
Coffee was great, too.
Highly recommended.
M. C.
Fantastic place for casual dining in the city centre. I love these mezze-style portions, especially the broccoli side dish (and I'm not a fan of broccoli). The atmosphere is lively, so it's ideal for a friends' get-together or a first date. The service was low-key but friendly - when our G&Ts arrived without the tonic, our waiter was charm personified as he rectified the situation.
A. H.
We had a lovely brunch here. The menu is quite large and there’s plenty of tasty & sweet to choose from. The food is delicious and the place is big enough so that you don’t hace to wait excessively. The staff was great as well.
e. m.
I ordered a filter coffee which came in a glass jug type pot and wasn't at all nice. I couldn't drink it because it was quite tasteless, very disappointing. The smoothie oat bowl was a very nice option for brunch. Friends with me had a pork dish and something with poached egg, both reported to be ho-hum. The staff were helpful and very pleasant to deal with. Toilets are down two flights of stairs and were rather grubby at 3pm. They have a toilet on ground level for disabled customers, which is a good thing. Their scones were very nice.
K. D.
Lovely staff, delicious food with cute and cosy outdoor seating.
a. d.
Great turkish eggs (menemen) for brunch. It was delicous. Edit: went there for the second time for dinner and desert. I had chicken, it was really good. But the hot chocolate and chocolate mousse were awesome. I will totally visit again soon
M. C.
I love this place because everything is homemade and food has a special twist. The space and the staff are also nice and welcoming. Breakfast/brunch prices are not cheap, but they're in line with other restaurants. Dinner however is overpriced, in my opinion.
D. K.
Happened to be staying just around the corner from this place. Really lovely much bigger inside good selection of food and the service was great. Food was fantastic full of flavour and very tasty, the tea was real tea leaves brilliant
j. C.
If I were asked to choose one single place on earth for my last breakfast , I would fly to Dublin and visit this cafe. The coffee , 120/100 , the scones and jams 130/100, pulled pork ones, 150/100. My pleasure to get a chance to have breakfast at the place where all the foods and pastries make sense enough to make you feel happy. Was a perfect brunch.
D. M.
Eggs menemen is tasty and filling, perfect for a long day ahead. Friendly, very professional staff. They have opened a larger seating area in the building beside so plenty of space and less waiting.

We have been here many times and it never disappoints.
Garrett found us a lovely table on our arrival and we were served well, great hospitality as usual.
Espresso martini on point, Meaty Mezze and Eggs Baba-Bida with extra pulled pork were delicious.
Looking forward to our next time coming back!

You walk and it looks like a cute jungle. So soothing! The food list is limited but very good. Big seating is avaliable so one can meet big gang of friends or have me time too. I just love the interiors, the plants and tasty food.
V. O.
Totally amazing, super delicious, creative food. Best veggie breakfast I've had in years. The pic doesn't do it justice. Nice atmosphere too and very helpful and friendly staff. What a fantastic place!
e. v.
Yes I could eat this exquisite food everyday! Loving the place although it is always very busy and the opening hours are very short! The next door take away option is quite handy when in a rush 😊
s. h.
A lovely experience: the airy open terrace is like dining indoors; the mezze starters are varied and delicious and both main courses were very tasty. Their stout is lovely and I enjoyed 2 glasses of good white wine. The staff are attentive and pleasant. I also thought it was excellent value. Highly recommended
K. R.
Lovely night out on the terrace. Ordered chips to share (we were starving) and then split the jellied duck (more of a terrine) + duck hearts, a delicious crab dip with toasted brown soda bread (best dish of the night), a tomato salad with whipped feta, and a main consisting of mushrooms and other veg with potato dumplings (sort of like very large hand-cut gnocchi which were then pan-seared). Split a bottle of nice light red wine. Friendly service and a great spot.
A. A.
Good and bright place! I bet you always can find place here since it offers many tables :) the food is good! Plenty of vegan choices as well as meat. It's always possible to mix the two with added extras :) I had falafel plate... It was super tasty! Humus was a bit dry but there were plenty of veggies to mix up
U. V.
The vibe and atmosphere of this place is wonderful - very cozy and welcoming. The breakfast was great and I highly recommend the scones. I tried the avocado toast which wasn't overly impressive but the housemade jams were incredible. The scones came with orange infused butter which was a game changer.
J. V.
6/5! On last day of our trip we founded the place in Dublin! The brunch was just amazing 😎 the tastes of different dishes... Stunning! And for gluten free people: there a lot to choose from as they can make almost everything on gluten free bread etc. All the cakes are also gluten free 👌atmosphere is really unique and staff really kind. This is THE place to visit in Dublin! I guarantee that!
P. O.
A bit over rated.
The brunch plates came on a bed of bread - nicer if they were more toasted and the BabaBida was a little bland - could do with a little seasoning.
Very friendly service in a nice airy setting.
D. S.
We got a booking fairly easily for a Saturday night which was great. There seemed to be a lot of groups dining there the night we went. Some of the dishes were better than others but overall it was a decent meal and good value. Service was very friendly and efficient.
T. S.
Lovely to be out yesterday in your restaurant and felt safe which is great in these difficult times. I wanted to say I was so disappointed with your cheesecake. Very dry and overcooked. I was looking forward to dessert and it was a pity to finish the meal on a low. Wishing you continued success for the future and thanks to the friendly staff for all their efforts.
E. O.
The service was excellent and attentive . outdoor space is lovely. I've been here several times before and always know you will get a good standard. I know prices are increasing everywhere and I managed a cafe for several years in city centre, and understand there's always a lot of outgoings. but I really was astounded and had to laugh at being charged €0.50 for a drop of oat milk with an Americano. Yes. Extra charge for latte's and cappuccino's. that's standard. but for just adding to an Americano ( which wasn't amazing tbh)...I think that's taking it too far .
B. P.
Very very good brunch and also excellent weekday lunches. Their chorizo is fantastic and you can add it to just about anything which makes for extra delicious. Their coffee and sandwiches are fantastic and you can quickly run up and get them at the take away counter at lunch. The owner is about quite often and is a good guy and also has a fantastic cookbook which is for sale at the restaurant as well, highly recommend popping in for any of the above or the fresh baked pastries if in the area.
R.
Been meaning to come here since I moved to Dublin over a year ago!
The food didn’t disappoint! I was amazed at the size of the cafe, two floors and it was jam packed on a Sunday at 12:30, easily 500 people seated! They cater for large tables too which is a great option for birthday brunches or social occasions - great selection of brunch cocktails - Prosecco , Bellini’s etc.
I tried their homemade Ginger Beer, along with a side of chorizo (amazing), fried halloumi and potato bravas (the best!).
For the actual dish we shared the corn bread tomato. To be honest it was a bit disappointing and I wouldn’t go for it again, but the other menu options look great for next time. The corn bread was a bit bland for my taste, and it just basically had a fried tomato, salted popcorn, and some mixed salad over it.
It is expensive enough, €12/13 for each breakfast dish but then again you are in the city centre!
The selection of pastries is second to none at the coffee counter when you enter the cafe. Although I was SO disappointed with the hot cross bun doughnut they had advertised on Instagram for Easter. It was supposed to be filled with orange custard but we got 2 and they were dry hard flavourless cake with no filled centre! :-(
The atmosphere is great, packed tables but still enough space between each. A great meeting spot.
I’d like to try their South Dublin location which seems smaller and more intimate.
Overall I would say 8 or 9 out of 10. It seems to be more of an institution or the “hip” place on trend to be in Dublin right now! But the food is faultless, really different. Quite a limited simple menu though focusing on a middle eastern theme, heavy on corn bread eggs and vegan themes. Perhaps they could expand it a little to cater for other tastes - although who am I to say when they have crowds like those!
Would come back again with a large group. Definitely come once, for the experience more than anything!
O. B.
Ridicouosly good.
Had four only vegetarian dishes and everything was tasty!
Next time in Dublin going to this place again.
J. B.
Service was abit slow but damn that French Toast was worth the wait! The Chocolate Brownies are some of the best I've ever had totally scrumptious, rich, gooey and super chocolatey. The hot chocolate was delicious not my fave but still really good.
S. K.
Great brunch! The Turkish Egg Menemen (photo) and the Cornbread & Greens were absolutely delicious. The service is excellent, very friendly staff. Only downside was that the cinnamon and chocolate rolls were a bit stale at the time we tried them. Other than that a great experience overall!
A. L.
Service was wonderful - super friendly and welcoming. Flat white was pretty good. Food (I had the cornbread and greens) was presented beautifully, but for me, the flavor wasn't memorable.
M. H.
Really nice place to take a brunch, we arrived at Dublin and we went there for our first lunch. Waiters are very kind and food is delicious, a lot of choices with vegan options and desserts are just woaw !!
D. W.
Great food, service and staff really friendly always enjoy my experience and food here!
L. M.
Their famous scone was 🔥🔥🔥🔥
High quality cappuccino
R. G.
Food was insane, I loved everything about this place
R. M.
I met a friend here for lunch on Saturday 19th June. Everything about it was fabulous. The food, all the mimosas, the dessert and the setting! She is vegan and I am very not vegan, but there was a perfect mix for both of us!!! Am going to try and go back with family and other friends. Thank you!
G. M.
I've eaten at brother Hubbard on several occasions, food is very average and overpriced, however the place has a good atmosphere to it (maybe what people actually pay for) good coffee and good babka.
M. T.
Excellent food and very original menu.
R. C.
The design of the place is really cool and they have nice teas you can buy at the entrance as well as books. The coffee was decent but giving it 3 stars because the desserts we had tasted like they were made weeks ago, especially the Chocolate Babka, tasteless and dry. Would come back just for coffees/tea and design.
C. M.
Brother Hubbard was always a favourite haunt of mine when I lived in Dublin - great coffee, brunch, staff etc. I returned after two years away and man this place has transformed. They’ve moved next door and the space has exploded - this place is massive. They’ve retained a lot of their brunch classics with a pinch of eastern influences which is a great alternative in the city. I can say thumbs up for coffee and dish presentation, the food wasn’t as delicious as I remembered it to be and the restaurant is still going through some redevelopment but it’s definitely a great spot in the centre to have a pretty good brunch.
m. a.
This place screams brunch, lovely food 🥗 for a perfect brunch with one of the best hot chocolate in town. Quiet a busy place. I tried the Turkish style lamb platter, it was very appetising and scrumptious. Would definitely add this on my favourite brunch places.
A. D.
Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Ireland! Great Irish Breakfast (the Full Hubbard) nice inside. Did take some time, but worth the visit.

Delicious breakfast in a cozy, urban and low frills spot. No need to book, just come by, there's plenty of room no matter how big your party is. Try the eggs or the avocado toast. Coffee is very well made. Great juices. Affordable, quick and delicious. Will definitely recommend to friends who visit Dublin.
J. L.
Ate here for dinner recently and had a lovely evening. Myself and my wife ordered the sharing menu, which is a great way or sampling lots of their dishes. I had the Free Range Chicken Fatteh for my main, and it was simply divine - possibly one of the nicest chicken dishes I've ever had in a restaurant (only slight criticism is that I'd have enjoyed a slightly larger portion). Decent value for money and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be returning!!
A. M.
From the first sip of a perfect cappuccino to fresh chocolate babka to amazing mult-flavored main dishes, this place never fails to surprise and delight. Everything Brother Hubbard makes is high-quality, inventive, and—above all—delicious. The cafe also strives to be progressive and responsible: in the WC is a beautiful water-saving conservation initiative (complete with helpful explanation), and in the restaurant is a happy staff working closely with the owner. And if you're in a hurry, "Little Brother" is right next door for to-go deliciousness.
J. H.
Absolutely hands down the best brunch I've ever had! Great staff, fab place, will definitely be back
L. G.
Lovely vibes, coffee & service! The food is absolutely tasty and delish. Can't wait to go back!
V. M.
I had a fantastic experience on Saturday at Brother Hubbard's. I came in for some Brunch on my own. There was a big queue of people in front of me, but a lovely man (who I later realised was the owner) had a seat for me right away.
The menu is totally different to your usual cafe in Ireland. I went for a Latte and the avo & eggs with avocado and chorizo on the side. Everything was great. Super tasty, fresh and beautifully cooked. I could taste all the different herbs and flavours. It was a real treat. The chorizo was excellent quality, sometimes I find it chewy and fatty but not in this restaurant.
I had 1 waitress looked after me throughout.
I have to say she was absolutely fantastic. So friendly, welcoming and warm!
You could tell that the staff working here are really happy and enjoying their work. The saying is true, take care of your staff and they will take care of your customers.
I Liked it so much I even bought the book and bag. Can't wait to go back and bring my better half with me!
K. M.
Love this place. I got coffee and wonderful scones here one morning while visiting Dublin for a few days and brought my parents back for brunch the next day. Good prices and high quality good food in a hip and comfortable atmosphere.
A. F.
I was excited to go here as I have been meaning to for a long time. It was just a bit underwhelming tbh as the food was just okay. The staff were very nice
C. S.
Excellent pastries and brunch (Turkish eggs and cinnamon rolls highly recommended).
Very friendly and helpful staff.
A must-go in Dublin !
K. K.
Gorgeous food, beautiful surroundings, excellent service... Definitely my new favorite restaurant in Dublin.
A. F.
Delicious food! Went for brunch. Got seated quickly. The menu is interesting, I had the crispy pork belly mojo. Coffee was nice, I had the americano and it was a bit strong for me but that may suit someone else's taste. Chilled raspberry juice and chocolate brownie for dessert.
C. O. D.
The brunch menu is excellent. Hands down the best granola in the city! The french toast looks and tastes amazing, not to mention the eggs baba bida! There is a long list of interesting sides to tempt you and the service is second to none. You pretty much can’t go wrong here.
S. B.
Very warm welcome, kind staff. Menu is brunch style. Neice coffee. Recommend for nice breakfast, or have brunch with your friends.
N. G. F.
Different brunch with a good taste.
Not too pricey and very attention to detail in the presentation.
Good location if you want to be in the North side
P. L.
We had a very nice experience and the food was absolutely great. The staff very professional and friendly. And they even have vegan foods.
J. P.
Beautiful food. Probably the tastiest freshest and healthiest food I've tasted. I'll be back !
R. a. L.
Excellent fit out and food. Staff were a little under cooked on the knowledge of coffee (but it was good). Huge place and full when we were there.
A. O. (.
All I can say is wow!
Our group of friends went to a number of different restaurants for vegan options in Dublin and today we decided on Brother Hubbard (North) for brunch. What a good choice that turned out to be!
We dropped in, sat down and we're immediately served. Coffee arrived promptly and was excellent.
After some minor anxiety over the choices in the menu, I ended up with the vegan brunch option which was an avocado toast covered in delicious greens with a side hummus, and batatas bravas (not shown below - but trust me, they are as gorgeous as they are delicious).
Seating is nice and natural light covers the tables and only sparse lighting is used for great ambiance.
Staff was attentive, curtious and grateful - as it seems to be the custom in Ireland.
There's background music that's not deafening, which makes it possible to maintain a normal conversation while eating.
In short: get your (and your friends') behind(a) over to this place for brunch, vegan or not - you won't be disappointed (especially if you're vegan though!).
E. S.
Exquisite seafood stew! Highly recommend. And delish cocktails ❤️
J. T.
Pancakes were fluffy and tasty
The avocado toast was great.
The flat white was a bit underwhelming and wasn't very special.
N. P.
Great spot for a brunch! Ordered eggs & avo with smoked salmon and granola. All food was very tasty but filtered coffee was something I can't recommend ordering.
B. M.
This is a fairly small restaurant. We had a delicious breakfast there. I ordered the overnight oats and a side of chorizo. The oats were delicious although I wasn't expecting them to be pink! My husband ordered the pulled pork and beans breakfast and I have to say his breakfast was even better than mine. Definitely worth stopping in, but if you don't have time to sit and eat they offer take out options next door.
H. C.
Just terrific staff and lovely food. The shaded seating is delightful if you can get a table in the outside area.
G. D.
Nice brunch! Your neighbours from Musashi recommended us to try you guys out since they weren’t open yet. The meal was super pleasant, and super friendly staff.
E.
Amazing food and really good service. I had the avo and eggs and my friend had the vegan avo. There was a mix up with my friends’ order and when we told the waitress she was very professional and apologetic. She offered us a complimentary cinnamon scroll to make up for it! Would come back again!
A. C.
When you look from outside you can’t image how big is this place! Building is very nice and well decorated. Service is really good and our order came quiick enough.. Staff is very friendly. Food is so tasty but a bit overpriced.
K. D.
Amazing food, beautiful place and lovely customer service. I high recommended vegetarian breakfast option.
T. P.
Great place for Sunday afternoon tea. The sun-roof and the plants give a very outdoorsy atmosphere. Love this spot!
P. J.
Super delicious and healthy food. The dessert was fantastic and the staff is very lovely. They're family friendly as well.
s.
Exquisitely seasoned egg and vegetable dishes with a middle eastern twist. The hot chocolate was superb and the coffee strong.
P. T.
Great and reasonably priced food, and friendly service. Bathrooms rather tucked away. Great menu.
m. b.
Very nice and tasty place!
You must try the moroccan eggs if you like spicy flavors!!!
C. Z.
Great brunch, nice latte and matcha.
D. O.
I went there twice and I drunk different coffees each time. The first time, I drunk the filtered coffee and in the second time, I drunk cold brew and mocha. They were always very well brewed. If you want to drink a coffee, this is a must-go place!!!
H. S.
Wonderful. I had Corn bread and Greens.
Tasty, presented beautifully. Staff friendly and efficient. I will be back.
J. K.
Seems to be always busy on the weekend. Cosy seating throughout. Food options are eclectic and unique. Service is very friendly and quick, I've found. Queues can be a bother if you're arriving for a weekend meal - get in early.
K. G.
Had the Brother Hubbard lamb mezze plate. Taste fireworks with the salty shredded lamb, tarte aubergine, savoury hummus, sweet carrots and fresh cucumber. The technicolour dream coat of dishes, my mouth is watering just thinking about it now. Definitely try this place, diverse and unique menu (they do amazing brunch!) Coffee is A1 also!
G. O.
Excellent brunch and eastern inspired dishes/mezze. Check opening hours for mezze! They don't serve them the entire week.
H. R.
A very nice place with so many delicious options. A great place for breakfast and brunch
R. F.
Good food, good atmosphere considering Covid19. Portions were small for me on the day. Service was good too.
W. H.
Loved stopping in here with my wife. Smaller place but still lovely. Had an Americano and orange juice. Orange juice is full pulp since it is freshly squeezed and very tasty. The Americano is very strong but also very good, not watered down and made with excellent tasting coffee. Both of our breakfasts were superb, not only beautiful to look at but delicious as well. It is a very busy place so tables are turning over constantly and servers are moving it.
Wouldn't recommend this place if you have strollers or many bags with you since it could be hard to find a place to put them near you.
We definitely try to come back if we get a chance, top of my list for favorite places for breakfast
A. G.
Super cozy ! Very welcoming staff ! Was a perfect place for my birthday brunch <3 thanks for everything!
l. m.
1st visit here would highly recommend it, delicious food presented very well lovely staff
c. n.
We went for dinner and asked for a vegan dish (aubergine, fennel seeds, tomato chickpeas...) And the kefta dish and they where just amazing!
The place is really inviting and the staff very nice.
Coming back!!!
S. J.
Got the bacon and cheese sandwich with the fried egg. Probably the best breakfast sandwich I've had in Europe. Also got the cinnamon and walnut stroll which was amazing.
D. F.
One of my go to breakfast/ brunch spots. Massive so you'll get a table even withiut a booking.
N. C.
Delicious everytime I go. Lovely staff. Highly recommend
B. M.
Great place for lunch . Had the chicken sandwich . With soup . Will be back soon
m.
came to Dublin last August and this was a spot i was super excited to see. the food wasn't only awesome but they were pumping out brunch better then most kitchens I've seen in nyc, and it was all women in the kitchen. major kudos for giving me the best bites I had in Dublin. also. coriander mix (seed and leaves) to cover the avocado was brilliant and tasty.
J. K.
Their Turkish-inspired menu mixes up brunch standards with delicious fresh and healthy ingredients. Cozy and relaxing vibe, definitely coming back for a second visit!
a. c.
Was quite disappointed by the sourdough bread - it was too tough and didn't really go well with the avocado. The halloumi was done nicely though. Coffee was disappointing, was expecting better.
D. K.
Lively place and tasty food. Menu has few but delicious options. Hot chocolate is good. Good for big groups. Loads of tables available.
O. D. R. S.
This might be the best breakfast I have ever had in my life. Absolutely delicious. Still dreaming about it.
L. H.
Best brunch in Dublin. Loved this place. Staff managed to make us feel relaxed and were very available despite the success of the place (very packed). Great time!
U. R.
Really enjoyed take away coffee, cheese cake and chocolate babka, highly recommended, staff is very friendly too
N. v. M.
Great place, friendly staff and delicious food and coffee. Usually a little bit of a wait for brunch, but well worth it!
G. G.
Lovely place and staff. The food is really good. Average price. Will go back again there.
C. K.
Great place to brunch! Coffee is very good and food delicious. Definitely worth visiting.
L. C.
Nice concept for a restaurant. The breakfast was delicious and had excellent combinations. And lots of colours :)
J. H.
why is this place such a secret it's the best breakfast I have ever had it's going to be my number 1 venue every Sunday possible
B. S.
I absolutely love this place. The food is great. The staff are excellent. Love the atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
L. M.
Brilliant brunch spot. It's been a few years since my last visit, but the new premises expansion means no more queues down the street so win win
V. G.
Best Brunch in Dublin in a friendly and well decorated setting. Cocktails to try!
A. D.
A great café with very tasty food and drinks. The interior design is cozy.
C. M.
Nice atmosphere and pleasant staff. Service on a Friday night quite slow.
T. L.
Wonderful mezze feast menu in the evenings - just look at my photo and make sure to go hungry. One star lost for cheap tumbler glasses when you order wine. Get proper wine glasses!
S. Y.
Really good brunch option! Turkish eggs with a side of halloumi were delish
C. B.
Probably the best dinner and coffee place. Food and coffee was amazing.
J. T.
Great spot for indoor or outdoor dining. Vegan options are genuinely good too!
M. M.
Amazing breakfast food. I always try and make time to come when I'm in Dublin.
L. K.
Must visit in Dublin! Great place for a hearty breakfast to start the day. Lots of vegetarian options. Delicious coffees.
J. T.
Unbelievable food. Really nice place to have breakfast or brunch. Food always puts a smile on my face here. Will be back again.
C. O.
Good music, excellent location and lovely dishes. Swift service as well.
N. C.
I love this place, I ordered the Turkish eggs with a side of Chorizo. It was delicious! I came back the next day and ordered their filter coffee and that too was amazing. I highly recommend this place.
J. C.
Had their Moroccan Zulusk. Not very impressed with the food. It looks appealing but lack the taste that I was looking for. Probably have different tastes compared to Moroccans.
S. C.
Hipster breakfast cafè. Special sandwiches, cool for brunches. I found it crowded but it's very cozy and the atmosphere is great!
J. R.
Always a treat, fab food, gr8 interior and very professional staff. Also, feel at ease eating there as I have a severe shellfish allergy.
G. Ó.
Realy nice vibe! Good to sit outside and enjoy the atmosphere! Very trans friendly!
I. C.
Amazing food and very friendly staff!
M. B.
Lovely food and service, very safe and comfortable place to enjoy a night out
L. P.
In love with this place. Had the Christmas pancakes. They were amazing
S. M. (.
Amazing food. Truely unique a experience and twist to Middle Eastern cuisine.

A. G.
Strongly believe this is Dublin's best brunch spot. Great atmosphere and service and the food is always an absolute delight! Recommend to all!
E. W. H.
Food was great. Staff so pleasant and helpful. Lovely atmosphere and spotless. Hand sanitizer stations all over. Even gave me my Americano in take out cup when l asked. Always find coffee stays warmer as hate cold coffee in take out cups.
A. H.
An experience. Had lunch there and coffee and baked goods. All amazing. Definitely pick up their book on your way out
P. O.
I ate here about 3 years ago and it was excellent - great surroundings, friendly service, flavoursome food. I returned recently and was quite disappointed. The new space was pretty soulless, the only sound was an obnoxious (customer on her phone). Service was efficent if not overly friendly. Food was a bit of a let down - nothing terrible, but also nothing memorable. Nice toilets.
A. I.
Great food, good service, average ambiance. Overall we've enjoyed it as the food was really good.
T. G.
Cracking top irish of the morning food!!!! Lamb meze was to die for. Absolutely fantastic. 10 out of 10 would take home to my parents.
C. W.
My mouth still waters when I think about the brunch at Brother Hubbard. I would book a trip to Dublin just to go back to Brother Hubbard.
D. H.
Great service, prompt, attentive and friendly. Food is excellent but I can't help but feel they've lost a bit of their uniqueness with the big revamp. I could also swear the eggs menemen has changed. I have the cookbook (well worth the purchase!) and it's even different from what's in there. Those big chunks of green pepper are off-putting. A shame as it used to be my favourite in the old place. Having said that, there's plenty of other amazing options and the baked goods are divine.
J. T.
Amazing food and the Quality was absolutely amazing! Not too expensive and Staff was kind.
J. H.
Avo & (perfectly poached) eggs on toasted sourdough bread, 👌🏻
Vegan friend: “Best thing I’ve eaten in all of Ireland”
J. J.
Awesome vegetarian food!! Great service. Would highly recommend.
J. K.
A very popular spot for delicious food. Food and service was great, highly recommended.
S. M.
The staff are kind and helpful and guess what? The food is delicious.
T. P.
Went there just a few minutes after they opened and was greeted by a smiling and friendly staff member who showed us to our table and gave us recommendations on the brunch menu. JP was brilliant, he recommended the Turkish Eggs and they were absolutely delicious. I'm definitely coming back here and would encourage everyone to give it a go too!
j. l.
Expectations were exceeded. It's a must-try, absolutely delicious
A. G.
Fantastic place with a creative menu! It was a wonderful way to start the day in Dublin and a favorite from the trip
R. F. C. C.
Beans and ham hock, with halloumi.
Great taste, presentation, service, ambient. Cost on the high side.
M. R.
Good breakfast menu, good food & lovely decoration.
C. L.
I adore this spot for brunch. It's the ultimate lazy Sunday treat. Great middle-eastern inspired hearty dishes, fabulous pastries (that all look like meals on their own), and cold brew coffee!
Happy days for anyone looking for a brunch spot that serves something other than a full Irish.
K. K.
What a lovely restaurant. From the extremely friendly greeting from staff when you enter to the great layout and more importantly delicious food and very prompt service. It is well worth a visit. On the outside the signage is very small and you think the premises is small too until you enter and it opens up into a very large airy and well laid out restaurant. I went for brunch with friends and we all had completely different tastes, the menu catered well for us all. Even the butter for their scones was surprisingly different.
Well worth the visit.
S. E.
Eggs and avocado toasts aficionados Brother Hubbard is your place! The North restaurant is even bigger and the food is 🤤🤤🤤delicious
H. E.
Great decor & atmosphere, friendly staff.
I ordered the lamb mezze platter which was delicious but unfortunately was served with mouldy/rotten cucumber.
Staff kindly brought me a fresh salad but it's concerning that the rotten food left the kitchen in the first place.
Portions were also average - if you come hungry (as we were), probably recommend ordering some sides as well.
M. D.
Superb food and really friendly staff..... top marks and a gem of a place. Really recommend a visit here.
S. C.
Great coffee, nice food with a middle eastern twist. There's a lot of flavours going on in the food which is generally good but 1 or 2 simpler dishes would be a nice addition to the menu . The space is lovely , light and airy but can be quite hustle-bustle and busy. Staff always v friendly. A nice brunch spot
J. P.
Organised wife's 30th surprise birthday brunch with her friends. Delicious food, quick and efficient service, friendly staff catering to kind of requests. Vegan and vegetarian friendly.
O. P.
Definitely one of the best places for brunch in Dublin. Tasty, fast and really friendly!
j. K.
The place was fairly busy when I went. I got the lamb mezze tray which was tasty and filling while being easy on the pocket. They had a wide variety of sides to go so it leaves you with loads of ways to customize your meal. The staff were friendly and quite quick with the food too. Overall, a very nice experience and I will return again.
V. W.
Amazing chocolate French toast. And the granola bowl was terrific as well 😍
D. M.
A perfect place for a family (in our case, a family of 5) to try out some new flavours and dishes - recipes I wouldn't even dare to cook at home, I might add!
I heard Garrett, the owner, on the radio a while ago describing his travels around the world experiencing exotic Eastern flavours and cuisines ...so, being a bit of a foodie, it was top of my list of nice Dublin eateries to try out. Opening a restaurant on this side of town was a brave move, and I am delighted it is working out well for both the restaurant and Capel St. in general.
Well, the meal definitely didn't disappoint. Everything was cooked to perfection and it was a lovely evening.
Top marks, guys!
d. g.
The food here is always top notch even when they are flat to the mat & out the door busy (which they always are!) The quality of the ingredients shines through in every bite. I love the sharing plates and tasting every dish. The drinks are also very tasty, they have a great selection of homemade lemonades, the ginger bear was delicious!
L. O.
Lovely staff. Great vegan options 👌
S. V.
I've been here a few times and tried out a lot of different things on the menu - it's always delicious.
I love the sides as well, the potato bravas are highly recommended.
Also since they expanded the place has a nice spacious and bright feel to it.
Everyone that works there is lovely too.
H. S.
Great atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and the food amazing.
A. E.
Great place for a quick lunch. Nice veggie options
S. B.
16 of visited on a busy Sunday. Everyone had a great time. Amazing selection of food - lots of side dishes to add a lot of variety to your meal. Coffee was top notch and the service was just fantastic. Definitely recommend.
N. D.
Awesome brunch items such as pulled pork and beans served all day every day.
M. B.
Service is amazing and the food is awesome. Highly recommended !
D. B.
A must do culinary experience for anyone visiting Dublin. We visited for breakfast and had an amazing time. The food is very well thought through and everything on the menu reads with excitement. Generous size portions, food delicious and cooked exceptionally well. Great variety of pastries and full sized dishes and the coffee is to die for. I will be visiting this place every time I visit Dublin for sure, if not just for the exceedingly warm welcome from the host. Great job here lads, others could learn a lot from what you guys are doing here!
M. K.
Just had a coffee and slice of cheesecake, which were both really nice
A. G.
One of the best brunch places in town. The restaurant is very big, yet, it looks cosy. The coffee quality is very high, as well as pastries and all ingredients used. Prices aren't bad, either. One coffee, one brunch dish and an extra would be around €20.
Totally recommend it!
S. T.
Very nice spot for bunch. The Turkish eggs where awesome, the coffee strong and the service great. A must try if you want a different take on eggs. The ginger bear is a nice refreshing. Too many rules about substitutions, splitting checks etc
T. E. B.
Good food, but the service is very slow (Sunday 2 pm)
G. L.
Great food. Really interesting menu. 4 of us had the sharing menu. Loved every dish. I chose the dumplings for my main. It was the best meal ive had in a long time. Friendly staff. Cant fault it. May be make the menu easier to read... tiny writing!! But that's picking.
A. S.
Amazingly flavourful food, highly recommend. Surprisingly filling too, was stuffed by dessert!
G. S.
Overall very solid Middle Eastern mezze dinner. Started with some delicious iced mint tea, and shared the Chicken Tagine, Spiced Cauliflower, and Charred Broccolini, Yellow Beans, and Red Pepper.
The Chicken Tagine was cooked well - very juicy, but it lacked much in the way of flavor. It, well, just tasted like chicken. I was looking forward to a bit more depth of flavor. The sauce was fine that it came in, but I found myself dipping more and more bites in, trying to get some spice/flavor/interest/whatever!
The Charred Broccolini, Yellow Beans, and Red Pepper were exactly as they sound. Very solid and if the chicke had had more flavor it would have been fine, but as the chicken didn't, I found myself not appreciating the veggies as much as I was still hunting around for some perfect bite.
The Spiced Cauliflower came the closest and only when adding the yogurt sauce. The yogurt sauce was the true standout - my dinner mate kept dipping his chicken in it (best idea of the night).
Service was decent - bit slow at times, but it was nice to get a chance to catch up with my dinner mate. Price was pretty good overall - I would have thought great if the meal had just had more flavor. Oh well, at least I did leave feeling like I had a healthy meal and some decent enough food.
S. J.
BEST BRUNCH SPOT! The food here was unreal. I was really hungry when I went, but it took so long to order as there was not a dish on the menu I didn’t want. The pricing was super reasonable and there was no need to book as they have lots and lots of tables. Despite the size of Brother Hubbard, staff remained attentive and friendly - even giving us tips on how to spend the rest of our trip.
S. M.
Loved what I saw and am hoping to be back for a proper breakfast.
R. C.
Such a quirky spot with a menu to cater every taste bud and palette!
J. T.
My sister and I had a delicious brunch here. We had the beans and pancakes and both were super yum, plus the coffee was great.
To top it off our waitress was super friendly, had great ideas for places to see in Dublin, and she was from NZ as well!
Definitely worth a visit while you are in the city.
M. G.
nice indoor menu and take away options. I love the scones
E.
The staff are great. The food wasn't my scene so definitely check out what they offer before you pop in because it's not your usual Dublin menu. Having said that, they try hard with what they do. This rating is based on the whole package moreso than the food itself - though my friends enjoyed it.
A. S.
What a place! That's amazing, the place is super cool and the food was great, a great quality and quantity. Great selection of morning drinks and breakfast options! Even if it was quite full (it was around 11 on a Saturday morning) it was quite quick to have the food! Totally recommended!
L. A.
Delicious brunch dishes. Lovely , lively and cozy place, especially in the back.
L.
I was a regular here a few years ago when the place was smaller and food tastier. The menu had better options (pulled pork) and overall it was quieter and more reasonably priced. Taste is ok still but it's way over priced now for what you get. I can think of many newer places who do a far better brunch at a better price. I was disappointed by my most recent visit and I'm unlikely to be back again.
S. O.
Super impressed with the vegan and veggie options! Food was just amazing! Vegan ice cream next please!
H. R.
Had a wonderful Saturday brunch here with friends. Staff were friendly and happy to discuss the menu with us. Service was prompt and food delicious. The current menu (March 2017) is strongly inspired by the owners' travels to the Middle East, making a refreshing change from the usual brunch fare. One slight downside was that we had to wait 20 minutes for a table, but we were able to wait in their coffee shop, Little Brother, next door.
D. C.
So I think you have to split the review into coffee and food.
Food first. It's tasty but not amazing. Brunch and dinner are similar in that the food is good, but it could be better. It seems a little rushed, they've recently massively increased their seating capacity and since the service has been a little slow, and the food lacking the detail it had in the past. I really wanted to give five stars, but for the price it just isn't that good.
Coffee. Amazing. Equal to anywhere in Dublin. They use Gardelli beans which are delicious. Would give five stars on this alone. However, the food and the service bring it down to four overall.
It's definitely worth the visit, and the interior is nice if a little bland, but it won't blow your mind.
P. R.
Regularly drop in for a take out lunch. Service as always, is great. Coffee is always amazing - they know their beans/roasts/brewing very well. Little disappointed in the sandwiches - last few I tried were too salty and the bread isn't as nice as I remember from 2-3 years ago. Still, the salads and soups are always varied and tasty.
S. D.
Staff is amaaaaazing. Visited with a friend and her baby and they accommodated us in a very nice place next to the changing room.
Food is always fab, very very easy and comfortable.
A. M.
I only had breakfast here so I can only really comment on that. It's got a nice selection of breakfast options on the menu something for everyone. Lovely little place to eat plenty of tables and even a take away coffee option. It's a little pricey but the food was lovely and well worth it.
a. m.
Trendy spot, good grub. Friendly staff. Would recommend.
A. M.
Excellent food. Great service. We especially liked the Granola Pot, Eggs Baba-bida and Maple&Whiskey Bacon. Look forward to coming back soon again.
L. M.
Place is bright and spacious. It's quite modern as well. The menu is Middle East based but they have French toast, granola and oats for those who dont like this type of food. I especially liked the fact there were many plants indoors, (I fell in love with the olive tree) giving the restaurant a cosy and cool vibe. We well definitely come back!
M. V.
Nothing special, food ok but choice on the menu was very little.
A. T.
We had a lovely dinner at Brother Hubbard, very different to the other places we went to during our stay in Dublin. The mix of middle-eastern flavors within very creative plates was delicious. And the Honey Feta Cheesecake gave our dinner a sweet ending. Highly recommended.
B. F.
Best coffee in Dublin. Amazing veggie brunch and great evening food and atmosphere. The staff are fantastic, so friendly and welcoming. Love this place.
K. O. M.
Great place for food and coffee. The pulled pork sandwich was delicious 👌
G. C.
Nice place for a brunch but... Nice venue, with a Nordic style. Good food as well, however extremely expensive for what you get. Moreover, low flexibility: I wanted to have a certain dish without an ingredient (hummus), and the staff said it was impossible to do that. We then found out that the hummus was added on top - the chef just had to not add it...
m. r.
Mouth watering food with loads of vegan and vegetarian options. Their eggs baba diba and mezze platter were just too yum. The ambience is also very soothing and cheerful. It looks small from the outside but has a huge seating area once you enter, definitely recommend this to anyone looking for brunch recommendations
P. C.
Great food, I'm a meat eater and tried a few veg and vegan options... I was really impressed! Even the deserts were excellent, tried the vegan chocolate mouse made with dates & coconut somehow... I will be returning to try their 'supper club' evening very soon. (Staff helpful and knowledgeable about menu... I had lots of questions, all answered! With charm.). Check out the menu before going... May not suit everyone but made an impression on me!
J. N.
Upmarket breakfast place. We like it with my friend. The food is kina innovative and unusual. Sometimes i am unsure of the things that are on the menu but what what i had so far I liked. My fav though is the cinnamon roll. That one thing is better than anywhere else.

Went for breakfast here and the food was amazing. Had the bacon and cheese sandwich along with a cinnamon and walnut scroll. The restaurant is very modern inside and quaint. There is lots of seating. But when we went it was a Thurs morning. I'd imagine it could be quite busy on the weekend for brunch

After trying the "south" sister restaurant I decided to try brunch at the original one. The two restaurants basically serve the same menu and both have the distinctive "hipster" atmosphere. I had the halloumi and eggs sandwich and tasted the slow cooked pork and both were very good. At the end also tried the lemon coconut cake and enjoyed it. Everything I tried was fresh; service was quick. Not too expensive either. Good for brunch with colleagues and friends.

Good lunch, bit of a wait and staff were a little "too cool" serving apparently. The person who took our name for a table was super nice and told us to wait next door and got us within 20 minutes. The server we had didn't really care much and apparently was way too cool to be there or didn't give a crap. The food was good and everyone was happy with their meals. I had the Avo and eggs but my egg was cooked too long and not soft at all like describe it was almost hard boiled where the yolk was all solid. The rest of it was good though. The staff never came back to check in once they dropped the food off and had to ask another server for water after we also ordered drinks. To pay the bill we had to get up and ask again. I think this places good rating has inflated the ego a little and the people lost touch.

Great atmosphere, and some dishes are outstanding. Seasonal pancakes didn't land that well with me though. Also some waiters are very nice, and some are quite rude. So you never know where you're gonna get a great experience or a mediocre one.

I held off and writing this review until I had both breakfast and dinner at Brother Hubbard.
I'm happy to say that both were equally excellent. The menu offers both diversity and mainstays in order to please everyone. The Turkish eggs are a must try for breakfast.
Service was excellent, balancing casual and professional. I was both surprised and impressed to see the owner in the restaurant on both occasions, and he was nice enough to take a few moments to chat with us. A true class act.
Locals and tourists alike would be wise to pay a visit to Brother Hubbard. We even bought the cook book!

Great to see this spot reopened on-street!

Best breakfast I had in a while! It’s like an oasis of rest in a very busy part of the city. You can sit here for hours enjoying their original dishes, delicious pastries and excellent drinks. Also nice interior and terrace.

I went there on Sunday 29/07 for brunch with two friends around 11am. The staff is very friendly. Overall the experience: food, ambiance music and service was great and the coffee was excellent. The only wrong part was that two to three different people taking the same orders multiple times makes the service a bit messy and confusing.

After we got off the plane, Dropped our bags off, this is the first place we headed to. Every publication of what to eat pointed us here. Got here around 1-2pm on a weekend, and it was very very busy, and with some luck, we were able to get seated almost immediately right in front of the window.
I needed some caffeine so we got the latte and the Moroccan tea. the beans they used had a nice aroma, and wasn't too bitter for my liking. This was the best cup I had in Dulbin the 4 days I was here. We walked by the counter where there was fresh baked goods and they all looked so delicious.
We got the pulled pork sandwich which was something that everyone raved about and I can see why. The meat had alot of flavors from the Mediterranean and it was so tender. The bread that it came with was such good crisp and was really fresh, so it was the perfect combo. The other dish we got was the avocado eggs Benedict. They know how to make your taste buds feel so good. Really great pairing of fresh avocados and using the same bread, it mashed so well. I wished this place is somewhere I can go to on a normal basis.
This I would also say is a must visit when in Dublin. The atmosphere is so chilled and cozy, service was amazing, although they forgot our order of scones, but it was meant the be, cause the portions are very generous and we wouldn't of been able to finish all our food, so nothing goes to waste.
Well done and keep up the good cooking!

Delicious food, fantastic combinations of ingredients. The service though is far below what you would expect. We had to ask three times for our drinks that arrived 15min after the food. While for dessert our coffees were cold until the cake was brought to us. Sadly you also can't split bills and they only take small cash bills... Service wise I've had better experiences in Dublin.

Incredible flavours, amazing food selection. All day breakfast menu was divine. Good service and decor too. Toilets were a bit of quest to find but can't fault this place on much else! Great cafe.

The best Brunch I’ve had to date!
Great place in central Dublin. As a veggie wasn’t sure what the offering would be like but the menu was full of options for meat eaters and vegetarians alike. Had the Menemen with added Haloumi and I couldn’t fault a thing.
Nice interior and great vibes too.

Food, coffee is great. Ambience is good. Cool hangout. Tasty breakfasts, though food is a little on the pricey side (€14 for their version of full Irish breakfast).

Loved it here! The decor is so nice and bright and the food was great. We each got a sandwich and a side of soup which was perfect for a rainy day in Dublin.

Since they've moved to the bigger location next door, I can actually review this place. Several years ago I had a toasted sandwich and a coffee while crammed into the wall sitting in a small chair, and was bumped by everyone who walked past. No more! Their new dining area is huge. You can almost always get seating now, thank goodness. And it is well worth it. Their spread is limited but very carefully crafted. It has a strong Mediterranean flare to it, and I strongly recommend the Turkish eggs with extra haloumi. Their coffee is divine, even the bolder flavours have a silkiness to them you can't seem to find in many cafés.

Good food, nothing special for my opinion.
I've got the special menu for s.valentine's day and was generous. The soup was to spicy for me, I couldn't eat it.
The rest was good but could be better.
The restaurant is gorgeous, and the staff is nice too.
The food was a little bit too spicy for my taste.

After visiting for the first time this evening, I feel compelled to leave a review. My husband and I, an omni and a vegan thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The portions while they appear small, the food was very filling so it was more than enough. For what we ate it was very reasonably priced and the quality of the food was fantastic. The service was excellent and everyone was friendly. If I have to scrape the end of the barell for something constructive, next time I will look to sit at the back as I don't find stools very comfortable. Again, this is easily resolved and would never deter us to go back and I have to nit pick for something constructive. Having a 50% vegan menu is an excellent business decision and I cannot wait to try more options next time.

Very happy with the food and service, good outdoor area, love the bohemian/industrial look they have going on.

A must for a tasty and healthy breakfast in Dublin if you don't fancy a full Irish. Great coffee, a delicious range of food and a friendly environment. No wifi because... well, you could always talk to eat other! Gluten free options available on many dishes. Just ask staff for details.

I love this place! They do incredible vegan options - the vegan avo toast special is delicious and so filling. 😋 I would love if their coffee cups were a little larger, though - the coffee is fantastic, but there just never seems to be enough of it in one cup. 😕

It's very large and spacious place. If you make a reservation, they usually won't let you get the table until everyone in the group is there, which can get annoying. The staff is very friendly and helpful, it rarely happens you have to wait them for long to come to you. I'm not the biggest fan of the menu however. I feel the place is more suited for vegetarians than for meat lovers such as myself.

Food was tasty, service five stars. Amazingly not overly sweet Turkish delight! Hot chocolate was very dense as well. Will try the special next time.
Tried the famous breakfast here, taste was bland but pricy.

It's okay. The food is fresh and tasty. But the waitress was not friendly and a bit hostel. Other than than It's a great place for breakfast.

Staff are very helpful. Fully complies with restrictions. Tables spaced well apart. Felt comfortable there. The only thing is that the cups of coffee are very small.

We visit this restaurant because we heard a lot about it. Maybe we were in a rush hour but the service was very poor. A waiter that take your order writing on his hand, you can feel it coming. There were things missing or that took very long to come. Eventually the manager offered us a little discount as compensation. I gave four star because the food was really good and tasty maybe overpriced. I might try to go back in a normal day/hour and update this review.

Excellent food. Middle Eastern Irish fusion. Great houmous. Have since bought their cookbook. Can be very busy though and you may have to queue. Good takeaway section for coffee and cake too.

Really great coffee and brunch. Very nice

Great lunch spot with sandwiches, healthy options and sweet treats. Almost always busy but there are plenty of seats and Little Brother next door is good for a quick takeaway.
Try the soup, it's delicious. Friendly and helpful staff.

Went here for a casual lunch with friend + toddler. Pleasant and accomodating staff. Very casual place with high chairs available. I wouldn't call it cosy or romantic. Quality of food is decent, nothing more / nothing less. Plenty of healthy options. It remains unclear to me why this place is in several must go lists online. There are plenty of more interesting places to go to for lunch.

Delicious, loved the food. Nice staff.

We happened to come across this place by chance but I thought I had heard of it. We walked in as a group of 7 and got a table straight away (from the other reviews this seems like we got lucky). Everything off the menu we tried was delicious, the avo and eggs, halloumi and eggs, pancakes, bacon and cheese sandwich. Also the baklava was lovely. The service was very good but what sealed the deal was the lovely staff member who chased us down the road after we left with my sister's bag containing her purse and passport she had left in the cafe! Lovely guy and huge thanks!

Great spot! I attended their supper club and it was a phenomenal experience- the communal tables, the lovely staff, and the fantastic food. Even as an American southerner, I was impressed with their take on deep southern cuisine! Overall a truly fun and tasty spot.

Excellent brunch place. Interesting without being pretentious. Quick without being transactional. Great portion sizes. Friendly staff. If I was going to pick any holes they’ve obviously expanded their site and the decor in the high-ceilinged new bit is a bit non-existent, but you’re too busy tucking into your spot on halloumi to worry about such trivialities.

What a lovely place! Amazing food (brunch menu) and staff. All the details are well thought and it shows in the overall experience. A lot of vegetarian options, not vegan ones but possibility to have few dishes turned into ones.
A. K.
An amazing place with tasteful food. Made us feel that we visited Garrett and James kitchen rather than restaurant. They indeed made us travel mindfully and tastefully through Middle East with all those nicely combined spices and twists. We went for just a quick brunch and ended up spending time over lunch and dinner over the days we visited Dublin!

Nice spot, tasty food, plenty of seats, high chairs for infants and lots of space for buggies. The majority of the restaurant can be accessed by wheelchair. Unsure about the bathrooms. They do a lunch and dinner menu so there is a gap of no hot food between services.
They have good vegetarian options.
C. F.
Fresh and delicious food with a Middle East twist. We enjoyed a trully wonderful meal. The majority of the menu is vegetarian friendly. As we arrived right during lunch time the place was packed and they asked us to wait for ~20min - but it was totally worth the wait :) You can also always grab a coffee in their little cafe next door.

Gorgeous nourishing food, lamb tagine looked small (portion-wise) in shallow bowl, but was terrifically flavoured in a subtle way. Fresh parsley, mint scattered over, exquisite yogurt/sour cream topping it. Was a little hard to get wait staff attention, but they were pleasant, and good at serving. Not a given! Lovely to see this place so busy after a spell as a ghost venue post Rhodes D07. My friends carob slice was yummy ;0)

Vegan mezze was to die for, poached eggs on loaf toast was so good, coffee hit the spot and the service was top notch. Toilet was clean and looked after. It was my first time in bro hubs, not my last. Go in, eat.

Nice food. Nice decor. Great service and quality food. Open for breakfast and brunch.
Now even bigger as they have expanded.
They are also open late from Tue-Sat evenings for an amazing supper.
Great selection of herbal teas and coffee

Nice lunch! Friendly staff. Bit of a hipster place but quite cosy and fun. On the high end of price for some lunch but not like expensive. Enjoyed the avocado salmon poached eggs sandwich.

Nice space, had the eggs baba bida (whatever that means) which was tasty enough, I didn’t like the coffee which I found very strong which was just as well as the cup it came in was very small. On paying the bill I was asked how everything was, I mentioned the coffee but they weren’t really interested. I guess it’s like that horrible practice where staff say have a great day and they don’t give a toss

I'm biased. I come here five mornings a week for the great coffee, friendly banter and occasional warm scone with 'Orange Blossom' butter if you don't mind. They are clearly focused on quality, attention to detail, and customer experience and they deserve to be busy. The clean, designer interior leads to a great little non-smoking outdoor space. Sweet and savoury foods are fresh and delicious (great salads) and the guys behind it are genuinely friendly and very professional.

Large and quiet room with a direct view on the street without too many seats.
I got a filter coffee and the vegan bowl, both very good. Special mention to the vegan bowl - both very tasty and impressive looking!

Very nice environment and friendly staff. They've got a good menu with plenty of nice options to choose from if you're hungry. Seems like a nice place for either lunch or dinner but also to just drop by mid afternoon and have some coffee and pastries.
N. T.
Delicious food with a twist. A middle eastern style to their lunch & dinner menu. They also bake their own good with plenty of options to choose from with delicious Coffee and a wide variety of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options makes Brother Hubbard well worth a visit. Their brunch menus and cocktails are also worth consideration.

It's a lovely spot for entertaining friends and clients alike.
Great food and drink, I'd recommend giving the ginger bear a try, lovely twist on ginger beer, if a bit soft.
Not to forget their shop, lovely coffee to take home that'll the staff will find up for your brewing preference.
Definately give them a try.

Great food, brilliant vegetarian options. Cheap takeaway healthy lunch. Update: Very pro environmental options, taking back compostable humus containers and being only delighted to fill your lunch box with their ever changing delicious salad mix make this my favorite place for a quick lunch in Dublin.

Saw all the amazing reviews, so I decided to check it out. Maybe I put my expectations to high, but the truth is that I ended up disappointed. I didn't try their specialty (pulled pork sandwich) but my Moroccan pancakes left a lot to wish for. The coffee on the other hand was very good, but the worst part for me was the service, had to order the check 3 times (10 min~) to finally be able to pay and leave.
R. P.
They deserve credit for offering something outside of the usual brunch bubble in Dublin. That place came highly recommended and I went with my sister who had last been there one year ago and was actually quite disappointed now. Apparently the signature dish (Moroccan platter if I am not mistaken) has been removed from the menu. I had the avo and eggs (again bad bread but that's apparently something you just can't get around here in Ireland) and the spices just didn't really complement the dish. My sister had the hazelnut, chocolate, banana pancakes. It's hard for me to judge because I like savory brunch options but it wasn't quite my taste. She complained about size (portions used to be bigger according to her) and we asked the waiter why the signature dish was gone, answer was that they regularly change the menu. My sister told me that this has been their best seller for a long time, so whatever that business strategy is, I don't get it! I had a ginger apple drink which turned out to be more of a bitter lemon. I won't go again.
