Great experience all around. All members of staff were very kind and consistently friendly. Our personal favorite order of the meal, which I strongly recommend is the “Sicilian Firing Squad” cocktail; extremely pleasant, and very refreshing! All the food was great, the only minor complaint is that perhaps my burger was over cooked considering that I ordered medium-rare and received medium-well done.

Delicious, delicious! When everything was going wrong on New Year's Day, Casper and Giumbini's kept our table and showed us great patience. We we extremely well looked after, as was our wheelchair-using guest. There were excellent gluten-free menu options too. The thing that stood out was the space we had and the truly delicious food. The staff were 100%. Why not phone ahead and they will help you choose a set menu for your group. Wonderful experience, memorable day. Thank you!

Excellent service (thanks Lucas) and delicious meal - the Moules Mariniere starter was outstanding, as was the fillet of plaice - both are highly recommended. It's a buzzy venue which means it's a bit noisy too. There are vegetarian options, but they are limited. Good dessert options, but the creme brulee was a quite stodgy.

Nice restaurant and good staff service. Pity the veggie menu was not on website as far as I could see. My dad called them and was told there is a vegetarian and vegan menu just ask. It should be advertised on website it felt like they dont want to provide for vegetarians. I only went because my dad likes it there. I did enjoy my mushroom pasta in the end.

I have been here twice and dined both indoors and putside. I have ordered the pork and the steak and they were equally well cooked and delicious. Portion sizes were decent as well. Chicken wings were gorgeous as well. The staff really go the extra mile which is my favourite part about fining here. Great atmosphere, nice staff and lovely food. Nice for a night out. Not great for desserts have tried the chocolate mousse and the creme brulee and both were overly sweet and not balanced so bit of a pity.

This is a fantastic restaurant right from the front of house staff to the food. We were met with a smile when we entered and were seated straight away.the first drinks order were taken and arrived promptly. Then the food order was taken and the starters arrived I had French onion soup witch was amazing for my main I had the steak sandwich it was lovely the steak melted in my mouth a d then we had some cocktails and we really enjoyed so overall a fantastic experience. The food and service here is absolutely incredible. We had dinner last night outdoors on the terrace for my fiancees 30th birthday and the staff from top to bottom went above & beyond to take care of us from start to finish!! They truly made our night, the hot water bottles were a very nice touch as was the welcome and the farewell! We will most certainly be back in the future!! The food was lovely . There very fast at trying to to take your half empty glass away before you were finished l. The maitre d' I found a bit rude in my opinion ( we asked could we get a table , but we were told we had to wait 15 min for dinner service to start while others were inside drinking- and my husband was in a electric wheelchair getting wet from the rain) it seemed he was more worried re rich people rather that people who wanted good servy and good food.

I've been looking for a place with je ne sais quoi since moving from France three years ago. The name doesn't exactly call to mind the terraces of Paris but the menu certainly does. Brasserie food, a classic cup of French onion soup, confit de canard, huîtres, steak frites, Chateaubriand and a decent wine menu made me reminisce. White tablecloths, terrace service and traditional Irish plates mixed with an impressive array of French specialities will bring me back again. Great service as usual will make me write a review. Due to an unforeseen knee injury we had to order our Christmas dinner in. I liked the sound of the menu and the staff, no matter who I spoke to, were lovely from the getgo.... that swung it for me! (C&G in Dun Laoghaire) The menu said the dinner was for 4/6 people but there was LOADS! Definitely enough turkey and ham for at least 8. We just had to pop it all in the oven. I had also added two main courses and two starters for the 2 vegetarians... but they both said they’d eat the crab on the day 🙄. All this for less than €300 including the vegetarian mains and starters. When we went to collect the food on 24th my husband was so impressed with the staff, the menu, the ambiance that we stayed and had a quick delicious lunch. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Thanks folks! X

Had a take away meal from C&Gs last night and I can't speak highly enough about the whole experience, start to finish. The wings were delicious, homemade blue cheese sauce. Cote de beouf was exceptional, melt in the mouth with beautifully seasoned chunky chips and creamy mash. Sauces were delicious also. Topped off with a beautifully presented and delicious chocolate orange mousse dessert. All the food held perfectly, much more so than any other take out we have had during covid. Represented excellent value for money for the quality. Really special birthday meal and I couldn't recommend it highly enough, will be back, hopefully next weekend!

An elegant and atmospheric surprise along Dun Laoghaire's pedestrian strip .The big window has a low curtain that restricts the view of passersby creating a warm intimacy inside, added to that are the white table cloths and cute carafes of wine, these extra touches elevate this eatery above the more casual diners nearby . The food is good; the menu offers just enough choice. For starters I had the French onion soup which was delicious and a welcome change from the usual soup options. The chicken wings were pretty much as good as you would find in Elephant and Castle down the road. For mains, I ordered the fillet of plaice served with crushed new potatoes (correction! I asked if they might leave the spuds intact, sure enough they arrived unmolested to my plate). This was served with grilled asparagus. My dining partner had the southern fried chicken and fries and it was finger lickin' good. Dessert consisted of Creme brulee and Cafe Gourmand...a really lovely place to go for a long lazy lunch.

The decor is pleasant. The hosting and service excellent. It was fully booked up, but I had booked well in advance. The starter was very good. My scampi was tasteless. They seemed to be the small unvained with that horrible black line visible. I was initially surprised at the large quantity, but I had expected a larger North Atlantic 🦐 prawn. One of my friends had the same meal, and experienced as I had. The apple crumble was tasteless except for the ice cream. The bar is part of the restaurant, maybe that adds to the noise. I was really sad,as I had expected better.

A very different experience on Monday night to our last visit in January. Couldn’t fault the food other than the tiniest amount of goats cheese in what was offered as a ‘Goat’s cheese salad’, way less than the previous time we ate there. Otherwise food was fresh, well cooked and plentiful. My son had to ask to have his wine glass filled, rather than asking how many for wine. He is 22. We asked for a side portion of onion rings - they didn’t come with our meal - we assumed that the waitress had her hands full and they would come next - we were well into our main course before any waiting staff came near to us so couldn’t ask. When the waitress did come nearby she asked us if we were enjoying our meal and remembered herself that she hadn’t brought the onion rings -we cancelled them at that point as we were nearly done. When clearing the plates she asked if we wanted to see the desert menu, we said yes, it didn’t arrive. Another waitress clearing the table noticed us waiting and brought us the desert menu but neither waitress came back to take our order so when the First Lady did pass by again after some time, we asked for our bill - that didn’t arrive either! My son left at that point now late to meet some friends and we presumed seeing him leave reminded her, however, rather than bringing it, she came over to say ‘you asked for your bill didn’t you’? Another wait and we finally got to pay and leave. It was a fairly flat experience overall, not due to the food or restaurant itself but because of all the gaps while we waited. It was my birthday so I didn’t want to complain and spoil the atmosphere but we left half the tip we normally would and will be slow to go back. It’s a shame but they were not busy, it was a Monday night, so no excuse and she was not inexperienced so it just overall left us feeling we were not important to her.

Lovely spot just off the seafront with great cocktails. Didn't have food but the menu looked amazing. Friendly and welcoming staff, look forward to visiting again.
