We were a party of four here and everything about our evening was great. Lovely cocktails and wines, great staff and wonderful food . My scallops followed by blackened cod was fabulous. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I had my wedding reception there. And first of all, I would like to thank the staff that was working on the day. They were really GREAT. Very helpful, efficient and polite. The food was amazing, big portions and delicious. Very comfortable, the part that we had the reception was beautiful and sophisticated. I’m really happy with our choice and thanks for being part of this very special day.

Have a lovely brunch experience, service was great, my partner and I went for the bottomless brunch and our glasses were never empty.
Food was great as well, I had the steak sandwich which was really nice and then a delicious cheese cake for desert, probably my favourite part of brunch

Great food . Staff so friendly. Funny and engaging banter from bar tender. And loved the cocktails!

Had a fabulous dinner here! Was recommended by a friend and when I arrived was welcomed by Dean and Ana, who really made me feel like they cared about my experience there. Highest quality customer service, and a fantastically diverse and delicious menu. And with a little experience in mixology, I was pleasantly surprised by the cocktail list, especially the vanilla Old fashioned 😍 (they've also got a cocktail of the week thing which is always nice). Hidden gem imo in the middle of the city

We had a gorgeous meal here. We went for the 3 course Christmas menu and the miso wings and short-rib main were particularly good. Only minor comments were that the pork belly starter and the short-rib were on the smaller side and the mains don't come with sides as standard. Everything was very tasty. We also went for the drinks package, which was genuinely free flowing. The three cocktail options were all long drinks and very sweet so worth considering if that's to your taste before choosing that option. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Covid certs were checked and tables were laid out well with plenty of space and the high ceilings further add to the feeling of safety. Overall a very positive experience, we'll be back!

Really tasty food and great staff. No complaints. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for.

We had an amazing experience! Food was
delightful. Special compliments to the chef and kitchen staff. Thanks to Anna and Julian and all of the team managing the floor. Brilliant service in general.
Can’t wait to come back :D

Lovely place to enjoy a dinner and have few drinks..we celebrated our friends birthday here and they surprised her with a lovely desert with a candle and all..super cute

The ambience was great, service impeccable and the food in general was excellent.
We had one mistake but the chef and the staff more than made up for that.
I would be more than happy to return or recommend this restaurant.

Staff were fantastic and the food was absolutely delicious! However, we were seated in a corner with a very loud speaker which we had to convince the staff to turn down on our behalf. The speaker was the source of music for the majority of the restaurant so we understand why it was difficult for the staff to feel free to turn it down but it was very uncomfortable for my parents. It was a pity that we had to ask twice for it to be turned down but we're grateful the staff were accommodating in the end.

Amazing food and really welcoming staff, we had a joint birthday brunch where the staff were so accommodating, patient and we never had a glass empty! Highly recommend and great value

I cannot say enough good things about the restaurant, food and staff. We had a small company night out, incorporating a small bridal shower, and the fabulous staff really went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic night. Thank you so much to each one of them, none of my (very last minute) requests were an issue, and we truly had a very special and fun evening.
The food also was delicious - I would recommend to anyone!
C. C.
Delicious food, great selection for brunch-I could have chosen a number of dishes, staff were very friendly and helpful, reassuringly covid compliant, lively atmosphere ideal for our group meet-up. Thanks for a really enjoyable brunch experience.
S. B.
Beautiful setting to eat, we booked the bottomless supper. Food was delicious and the cocktails well made. Staff were never too far away to help.
N. B.
Brunch on Sunday - amazing Bellinis and delicious food - the service was 10/10 definitely be back again
C. D.
Had a great meal last Friday night. The staff were very attentive and professional and the overall setting created a warm and friendly atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Went here for brunch on a Saturday. Because we didn’t have a renovation we had to sit at the bar (which was fine). The place wasn’t too busy and had a nice open atmosphere. I ordered the bread and dips and spiced potato rosti. The bread dips were actually delicious ! The spiced potato rosti had a rich flavour but was slightly overpowered by the onions. I also could barely taste the sweet potato unfortunately.
Also - the bartender offered to make me a special cocktail. I thought he said free and I was definitely charged 10€ for it. So just beware !
Overall a nice place but I won’t be running to come back.

Lovely food. Excellent staff. Great ambience. Covid compliant but noticed few sanitiser bottles needed refilling
S. C.
The food is spectacular - there wasn't one thing on our table that wasn't exceptional.
The service was lovely, really friendly and knowledgeable and they made some great recommendations too.
A great experience.
D. P.
Great lamb, nice and pink. Very well. Cooked. I wasn't blown away by the gyoza starter to be honest. The desert was a great piece of theatre maybe I bit it slightly too hard though....

We had a lovely evening in Cleaver East we were a table of 6 and cannot fault anything amazing food, very attentive staff and lovely atmosphere. We will definitely back again.
J. W.
Excellent restaurant with a a nice variety of options at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is a step up from the local pubs. Try the cauliflower tots and short rib.
G. C.
Best meal in a long time. I ordered the prawn starter - full of flavour. Chicken was tastiest I've ever had. Dessert was really good too!
E. A. G.
4 of us went for dinner and we were all really happy with our choices. The menu is inventive and extremely tasty. Our waitress Louise was fab and made our experience much better! The extra sides that you have to add and the lack of Rosé offering is the only reason why it got 4 and not 5 stars.
S. R. T.
A great place to dine and wine. I visited the place twice on the same day, (February 6, 2020) late morning for some brunch and the service wasn’t appealing at all. The lady who served me kept on whispering and pointing a finger at her colleague.
I was unsettled by this not because I’m a person of color but to witness such a disgusting scene. I asked for wet wipes(so I could put on my Invisalign) but you could tell she wasn’t happy about my request, after my meal and a drink I asked for a mint but she couldn’t give any- you could tell she was so fed up with me and wanted me to vacate their place, I left them a tip of €5 because the food were nice though her mannerisms were the opposite.
In the late afternoon I came back with a friend of mine, though we didn’t book any table we were granted one to use for an hour, an hour which turned into hours. We wined, dined till midnight. The hospitality was amazing. There was some young man and lady who served us. Those two lads are so amazing. I felt pity that I couldn’t leave a generous tip for them when the place closed as both me and my friend had consumed more than what our bodies could withstand
I give these 5stars for those two bubbly and jolly attendants- had it not been them I would have rated this place 1 star due to the poor service I received in the morning. Please re-train your attendant who was working around 11:30 on the same day, clearly she lack customer service, she shouldn’t profile people basing on their skin color( ireland is a nation of emigrants, it’s a multicultural society and to be looked down upon simply because your color isn’t white is too primitive for this beautiful country).
S. P.
I've been for brunch and dinner and absolutely loved it both times! The food is great and the 3 course dinner menu is good value for money. Would definitely recommend!
A. C.
The service is good and the food is tasty. I like their starters more than their entree. The fish a bit fishy. The duck confit risotto ball and the shrimp PO boy is good
A. S.
Tasty meal in a beautiful setting with swift professional service. Highly recommend for any time of year.

Every visit to Clever East is an amazing experience. From extremely friendly staff ( Roxana was looking after us and she’s an example of brilliant service) to a menu that will leave you speechless (their signature dessert is unreal). The interior design is just amazing and makes you come back which we definitely will.
s. d.
Fantastic place the food was amazing also full bar menu and the staff really looked after our group . I had the 8oz steak and it was cooked to perfection.
M. B.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere and fabulous food. Highly recommended.
M. J.
Excellent. Superb food. Exceptional service - our server couldn't have been more helpful. One of our party has a restricted diet - nothing was a problem. Thank you. Looking forward to our next visit :)
C. D.
Great service, great food, good wine selection, very tasty espresso martini, I would recommend it.
A. M.
Tasty grub, great cocktails. The attention to detail of the service team is lacking - drinks forgotten or waiting a long time for a bill etc. Slightly outside of the main thoroughfare of Templebar. Cool interior!
C. B.
Decor fab..staff fab...food = meh.... started of belly of pork was shabby with the belly, firvthe price of it = nope... steak was good quality, again for 30 without sides = bit small... truffle fries were tasty, buy didnt see any truffle, unless it was white truffle..could've been eau de truffle... overall ok & a good dining experience..food just to templebarry maybe...Oliver Dunnes stuff normally reaches a higher bar...

We are so impressed with the dine at home boxes! Over the last couple of months, we have ordered the Date Night for 2 and the Surf and Turf boxes and they were both so delicious and easy to put together. We also ordered the cocktail box for a special occasion and they are top notch. If anyone is missing the restaurant experience or a good cocktail, I would highly recommend!
M. B.
They have a great value early bird menu which I would highly recommend.
The food was good, a little heavy eating but very tasty!
J. F.
The food was really good and the atmosphere was too but what made this outstanding for us was our waitress, she was so friendly and super helpful. An absolute asset to your restaurant she is. I'm sorry I don't know her name.
L. B.
Attended for brunch, food was delicious! And staff were very friendly. Only issues were - it was not clear at all that the 2 course brunch option was starter and main only. Why could dessert not be included in the options? The menu should have specified this as we wanted dessert more than a starter. Our table was also not 2m apart from the next table - it felt a little cramped and the waiter’s work station was right beside our table. Lovely indoor atmosphere and the building is beautiful, just a few small adjustments would make the experience more safe and enjoyable.
I. C.
A good place for a nice dinner with friends or with your half. Sometimes might be really busy so try to call in advance for a reservation. Food is delicious and staff really friendly and helpful.
S. C.
Great atmosphere, Dean the bartender has excellent customer service, was always on hand to talk through the menu
K. F.
Great experience, food was fantastic and a lot of value for money.
Staff were very friendly and the service was really good.
L. R.
A lot of hype, but doesn't live upto expectation. They have mixed up our booking and I was initially turned away and staff were quite rude. Once the mistake was rectified they couldn't have been nicer. Food is average enough, but was expecting more.
S. K.
Had the bottomless brunch there. Delicious food and good bellinis! Totally worth the money.
S. W. M.
Wonderfully diverse Asian inspired menu with something for everyone. Fantastically attentive staff, quick service and cosy yet buzzing atmosphere 👏 highly recommend a visit. PS breakfast was delish too including excellent ☕

We celebrated a 21st birthday with just the 4 of us at Cleaver East and it was way beyond our expectations! We did the bottomless supper and it was all incredible. The waiters were so warm and engaged and really made the whole experience. The food was amazing and the staff all so accommodating with our requests as 4 vegetarians, they even surprised us with a Happy Birthday dessert at the end. Altogether just a flawless experience we will definitely be back!!
J. L.
3 course dinner and a very delicious meal was had. #Pornburger lived up to the name and Pork Belly was delicious. Very worthwhile meal and drinks.
L. C.
Very efficient with the Covid - 19 rules. Food was tasty but not piping hot as you would expect. Had to ask for under the table to be cleaned as food underneath from previous customers. Waitress who was assigned to our table was very inexperienced said it was her first day she didn't have any help at the start to show her what to do until she asked another staff member. No leeway on the food options has to be the set two courses from the Christmas menu (Starter and Main only) thought €30 was a little expensive when the portions arrived they are quite small, main is not standard main size in other restaurants and no sides included.
O.
We had the teriyaki beef as starter, was gorgeous, the mains took a bit longer than we expected, but when we got, was superb.
The rib eye was well cooked and the pepper sauce was one of the best I ever had.
B. C.
Food was very fresh, from the salad to the lamb. Service was impeccable even though I was with a large group. Staff has a great attitude for service.
P. S.
Good food, and nice ambiente, but the service was a bit lackadaisical in terms of getting served and paying the bill, but that may depend on cultural preferences. Go for the pig cheek starter!
A. M.
I'm not a foodie by any means, but their bacon cheese burger was amazing! And the bottomless bellinis and mimosas were delicious, too.
L. C.
I had dinner last night with some friends and it was fantastic! The food was great, we were all very happy with our dishes, including the vegetarian person. But the waiter played the main role in this experience. He was very friendly and helpful. I felt very welcome, and I will definitely go back there many other times.
l. k.
When we arrived we were seated right away, drinks and food ordered very quickly. Drinks arrived immediately and as we got bottomless supper, our server was constantly making sure we were being topped up. Food came out quick and was delicious, 10/10 experience, I cant wait to return!
C. C.
Excellent meal and drinks, service was brilliant -we had a great evening, couldn't be better
C. O.
Had a set meal here on Christmas Day a couple of years ago which was terrific. Returned this year and the meal was very disappointing.
The menu was very stodgy and the main course in particular resembled a mixed grill rather than a Christmas dinner. The result was a very heavy meal.
The staff were polite and accommodating, however I asked several times for the courses to be delayed to allow time for the food to digest and they just seemed keen to serve the food and get people in and out. I ended up with indigestion for two days which is not something I normally suffer from.
For the year that was in it, I was grateful to get a last minute booking and it is normal to pay a premium for Christmas Day, but at €125 per person plus a service charge, the rushed sittings (which was also the case last time), and the poorly thought out menu, it did not represent good value.
Edit: I appreciate the response, that's good customer service. I've changed my rating to 3 stars.
c. c.
It was a pleasant evening with some nice food. Service was just fine however I felt the restaurant lacked atmosphere
D. C.
Delicious food, great service and those cocktails are divine!! Great night out and can't wait to go back!
I. G.
Went for brunch (this wasn't my first time but first time it wasn't enjoyable)
Food was delicious and staff were very friendly. The menu... not so much. First of after 6 weeks of bn closed u would have think they would put more effort into the xmas menu... it was an unclear piece of paper with NO Allergens...dissapointing. The menu should have specified was what included on it. The dessert was charge extra, the sides were extra. A total mess! Plus I ordered a GF burger, after waiting for long enough they brought me a naked burger, then brought it back and they just put the two buns on the side. To be honest, If I wasn't too loyal to their bottomless brunch I wouldn't come back.
E. Ó. D.
They were very nice and accommodating when our party grew from 8 to 10 people, and I know how stressful this can be when you are trying to move tables around. Very good and tasty food, beautifully presented with a varied and interesting menu. The only downsides were our server was clearly very new and undertrained so she did not know the menu at all and we had to point to each dish we wanted rather than just ordering it verbally. The other was one of my bugbears, which was a number of the staff with long hair did not have it tied back. A mistake was made with our order and one of the main courses was missed, however the manager rectified this beautifully and comped some deserts, she also provided a band aid when I cut my arm due to one of our group knocking a glass over.
G. C.
Service was below average especially as later guests were served before us. The food was nice but over-priced. The experience overall was unforgettable - probably would not return!
O. M.
I've been for bottomless brunch 4 times now, twice it's been amazing with the most enjoyable time. Other two times they where sold out if stuff on the set menu, had to ask for your drinks to be refilled arrived 15minuted late which we phoned and they didn't allow us stay for the two full hours either brought the bill over as soon as it hit 5 when we where going to stay fit cocktails. So it's pot luck what kind of experience you have.
A.
Booked a table for a large group, the waiter who was looking after us was excellent, our glasses were never empty and he was lovely and polite. We were supposed to have the table till 2.30 but they let us stay around till after 3 with no issues, my only criticism is there wasn't the best selection for vegetarian and vegans. We made do but a few more options would have been great,
J. H.
Food was good, but perhaps not worth the money. Everything is extra. Bread and dips charged per person - it does a least warn you of this on the menu.
All sides were extra. For €21 you get a piece of meat (pork in my case) and some salad garnish, but nothing else. Sides are €4.25 each (3 for €10.50), so the bill racks up very quickly!
Service was good and the quality of the food was good, but wouldn’t say we got value for money. Would return but definitely aim for early bird for better value.
S. A.
Really nice and cosy spot in the heart of Dublin. We were looking for a place that would serve good food with seafood and vegetarian options for a New Year's Day dinner and Cleaver East served us more than well.
We went for two starters which where sufficiently enough to understand we were going to great quality food besides amazing wine and desserts.
Prices are affordable for a going out once in a month (In our case, students and part-time workers). We had really good experience paying around € 40 having starters, mains, desserts and a bottle of white wine.
Everyone was satisfied with everything and it is highly recommended if you are looking for a chilling and comfort place.
L. N.
Food was good, but not amazing - you can get better food for the same price in other places in Dublin. Service was great, and the acoustics are excellent - really easy to hold a conversation. Good prices for drinks.
The menu is quite diverse so it would be good for groups.
A. C.
Staff were very friendly. Portion sizes were small but food was tasty. I had the prime rib and and my mother had the yellow fin tuna, both very tasty. We were sat upstairs in a pokey corner, it would have been nicer to have the option to sit down stairs.
S. W.
Went here for the early bird on a Monday. Staff weren't busy but just weren't on their game this day, some starter's and mains arrived without cutlery. Food was very good even though the pork arrived differently than listed on the menu, sides are essential here and they have an adequate wine list. My chair was also a little rickety. But the quality is there and I think my next experience will be better.
A. D.
We had a lovely meal at Cleaver East. The lamb and short ribs were favorites for our group of 5, but all of the dishes were great. It did not disappoint. The cocktails, wine and service were all wonderful as well.
G. G.
What a shame the service did not match the food.
For our table of 6, we ordered 6 cocktails , 5 arrived together but the 6th did not arrive. We eventually grabbed someones attention and the 6th cocktail then arrived twice.
Four our mains we ordered steak, Ribeye arrived for someone who had ordered Fillet. There was utter confusion amongst 3 members of staff who hadn't a clue as to what was going on. Sides were mixed up as well. When it came to dessert the waitress did not have any real knowledge as what ingredients, tastes, textures etc were in each dish. There was definitely a real sense of young kids working in the restaurant with very little experience or knowledge of food.
This is an absolute shame as when the food did arrive it was wonderful. Cooked to perfection , presented well.
I am often reluctant to leave any negative reviews as I know how much hard work goes in to running a restaurant and how hard it can be to please everyone.
I would hope this could be seen as constructive and allow you to view your weak areas. You have great chefs, locations , venue etc but it appears you have gone the cheap route on staff. Some experienced well trained staff guiding these young people would help tremendously.
Please view this review in the spirit it is intended.

I cannot fault the food and drinks, but the service was a complete let down. We had a 3pm-5pm reservation for bottomless brunch, and we were rushed in and rushed out because the staff needed breaks. Four times we were asked to order while we waited just 12mins for a friend to arrive (we were then forced to order for our friend because we were told he wouldn't eat otherwise). Then at the end, the bill was given to us without asking before we reached 5pm, and we were told that we need to leave three times before someone came over and practically handed us our coats. It wasn't relaxing to dine here for those reasons, and it'd put me off going again.
My suggestion to management is simply to not offer that time slot if it's clashing with staff breaks and the rush to get prepared for dinner.

Amazing food and amazing place

Expected better from Cleaver East. Staff were brilliant. Incredibly friendly, happy to make recommendations. The food was ok but felt lazy, ingredients felt cheap. The place was comfortable with a nice ambiance but the toilets could do with a bit of love. Provide some nice soap instead of the cheap pink catering hand soap. Overall, it feels like they need to invest a little more in the user experience. But top marks for the staff.
N. C.
Lovely food and very nice staff. Everyone was polite and very helpful throughout. Beef shortrib was very tasty as was the orange chocolate cake for dessert. Great value for money. The gyozo were a bit spicier than I expected but still very tasty
W. M.
Absolutely brilliant night - We had a set menu for 7 people and the quality was really good. Steaks were delicious and starters were yum too. Prawn toast worthy of a Bangkok street vendor! Thanks Cleaver East - A Gem in Temple Bar. Will
R. T.
Brunch is excellent here! Great food and service - our glasses were never empty during our bottomless brunch and the bill didn’t break the bank. The food was so tasty - we left absolutely stuffed. I will definitely be back!
M. C.
Was in Dublin for a night and my mate recommended this place. I have dairy and gluten allergies which, let's be honest, suck for everyone. Especially when it comes to dessert. Here, they not only sorted mains, and wine pairs, but they also made one of the best dairy free gluten free desserts.
Service is impeccable, drinks are big, and atmosphere is fantastic.
I highly recommend.
r. a.
Nice atmosphere but tables a bit to crowded together. I had the roast of venison which once severed properly was worth ordering. The balance of flavours was perfect and served at right temperature the venison was easy to eat. The mix of beetroot, walnut and carrots made a nice texture and flavour compliment to the meat. As sides the roast potatoes were great as were the green beans. For dessert we tried the brownie and the apple crumble. The brownie sundae had way to much going on. Barely any brown in the mix. The apple crumble was great. Over all a nice dining experience.
G. H.
Great to see these guys open again. Faultless COVID protocols in place, food as fantastic as ever, service exemplary.
Standout for me was the confit duck leg but there wasn’t a weak point among the 16 courses served to our group.
J. C.
This is my third time back to Cleaver East it never fails! We had the bottomless brunch on Sunday afternoon - service was very attentive and helpful! Food was delicious as always! Will definitely be back great food and buzzing atmosphere!
S. F.
Very very pricey and portions are tiny, but the brunch is nice. Service was fast for a big group and the decor and interior is nice and relaxing. Very central location too if your boozey brunch turns into all day pints, enjoyed but probably wouldn't return
a.
I came here for the early bird and it was excellent value for money. We had two wines, two cocktails and two three course meals & sides and it came to €100 bang on. I wouldn’t say it’s for “foodies”, but definitely good.
A. M.
Booked this for a retirement dinner for one of my older colleagues. I was a little concerned that it might be a bit "young" for our party (#pornburger!!) but was very happy that the background music was unobtrusive and the atmosphere laid back without being dead. Food and service were both excellent. The very friendly waitress explained that the early bird dishes had an asterisk beside them. One of my colleagues didn't hear her and ordered a non-early bird starter and when we pointed this to her the waitress said she wouldn't make an issue of it and told her to go ahead and order it anyway as part of the early bird. Really good to see some flexibility - a lot of places wouldn't have done this and possibly gained a couple of euro on the night but maybe have lost some repeat business.
My only small criticism is that the menu links don't work on their website - online and desktop versions. I know that menus are subject to change but it would have been nice to at least have a sample one to give some idea of the style of food.
S. V.
Very cool decorations and bottom less drinks are worth going in for alone. Lovely staff too. Small portion sizes is my only reason for not giving them 4 * (they do mention it on the menu) so if you are starving going in, I would advise getting sides.
L. C.
Lovely spot, great entertainment but the bottomless drinks deal is very misleading. Menu states that bottomless Bellinis and mimosas are €18.95 per person which is what we wanted and had eaten before arriving but the waitress then informed me that we had to each spend and additional €10 on food which wasn't stated on the menu (it only stated on menu if you wanted bottomless cocktails €10 spent is required but we only had mimosas and Bellinis which appeared to any person reading the menu that it was a completely separate deal to the bottomless cocktails ). We really felt scammed as our €40 spent now turned to €65. as the website said 18.95 per person for the drinks and nothing else. Probably wont return due to this but everything else was good.
I. D.
Loved the food - was there for brunch. The staff is a mix of friendly and rude. The table staff kept lurking around our table when our time was almost up and gave disapproving looks when we it was approaching our leaving time.
S. T.
Nice food, bit costly and having some minor issues with Asian fusion food but overall great(!) However we had an unpleasant impression with the promotion programme they ran for Jan 2020.
Free Main promotion: To avail of this fantastic offer, simply purchase a starter per person, order a main and get another FREE. This offer is available until 31st January, 7 days a week for A La Carte Dinner only, mention ‘Free Main’ when booking.
So we went in group of 4 and expected 2 free main courses. But the manager refused to accept that, and stated that the promotion was per table. It was absolutely not the case as no mention what so ever in the promotion material we had in hand. To avoid the after-dinner argument we accepted to have just 1 free main. They should work on their promotion interpretation when running one tho. Still don't know why the restaurant acted that way.
A. N. R.
Visited twice for brunch, would have rated 4* for first experience, tasty food & atmosphere however last visit left a lot to be desired. Had pre-booked a month in advance a large booking and confirmed menu deal options etc. The day before I phoned to confirm numbers & was told there was no booking made which was untrue, the staff member was not very apologetic however I figured it was a innocent mistake and confirmed again the numbers and the menu deal options available to us the following day. On arrival was not warmly welcomed by hostess/manager, there was confusion over which set menu we were allowed avail of even though it had been confirmed the previous day & generally staff were not friendly or helpful. Food was not as good as the previous visit. Perhaps we had gotten them on a bad day however I would not be running back anytime soon as overall was not a very enjoyable experience on the most recent outing.

Just had dinner here last night with all my girls and I had to leave a review! The food was amazing and what an amazing choice for a set menu! Also the staff could not have been nicer! It’s was a fantastic night and would 100% recommend.
T. S.
I went for dinner around 9pm & the food, especially the dessert, was great! Service was also very good. The restaurant itself has a nice vibe; i just think the tables are a bit too close together. Overall, would def recommend!
I. W.
Amazing experience at Cleaver East for brunch, was my first time and definitely will go back. From host to bill everyone was great, Lulu especially for keeping those bottomless mimosas topped up. Food was so tasty as well, highly recommend.
T. D.
Decidedly average. Atmosphere was good but food was under seasoned and overpriced for what it was. Recommended starters: carpaccio and scallops, do not recommend: ceviche. Had to send one steak back as it was overcooked. Service was average. Overall not what I would expect at this price.
S. M.
A great Saturday afternoon brunch date with plenty of bottomless mimosas! Great atmosphere and the staff were very attentive. Not to mention the food! Absolutely devine! Cannot wait to return.

We had our wedding reception two weeks ago in Cleaver East and from first contact to the day of the wedding Emma and the staff from Cleaver East were amazing to deal with. Everything on the day went so smoothly and both myself and my husband had the best time. Food and drinks were amazing, all of our guests were raving about it! Thanks again guys for making it such a stress free and perfect day! Highly recommend Cleaver East for a wedding reception!
S. Z.
Nice brasserie-style atmosphere, but be aware that the music turns up after 9.30pm on Saturday eve, so conversations are somewhat hard to follow. Food is mediocre, lamb a little too fat. Really big portions, so no need for appatizers or side dishes. Wines are delicious!

We arrived 30mins early but were still accommodated. Our food was excellently presented amd show great flair and tasted just as good. Service throughout was impeccable as we have found in the past at all Oliver Dunne restaurants. I would highly recommend Cleaver East.
L. J. C.
Food absolutely amazing, staff the best ever. Such an amazing atmosphere. Book in now.
R. C.
Had a lovely dinner with a few friends last night , the staff were helpful & professional , the food was wonderful and every effort was made to make us feel welcome & safe .
C. M.
We had a wonderful brunch for my partners 30th. Service and food was fantastic and they really went out of their way to make our day great. A really pleasant experience. 10/10

Had a magic night on Saturday. 12 people had a night to remember.
Thanks a million for looking after us so well.

Great dinner when visiting Dublin just for the day. Potion sizes of the main and sides were very generous which pleased my hungry other half! Meat was delicious. Will recommend to others. Thanks
R. J.
Really pleased with the experience. Incredibly helpful service and chef, very accomodating. Definitely recommend!
J. F.
Bottomless drinks for a reasonable price..and they are not shy with the refills.. Great food although no toast with the full Irish..
D. M.
Had "not afternoon tea". Super idea and great food.
J. “. B.
Very nice place. The food is very good and well served. The staff is very thorough and kind. Behind the bar a nice bartender can serve you very good drinks. Reservation is required if you don't want to wait for a table.
D. B.
Good and friendly service, atractive menu, but a little flat in taste; burger was disappointing, the rest was okay.. no surprises. There are to little options of wine by the glass. No house wine options offerde at all.
Pleasant espresso’s served.
C. K.
I remember the place from the 1990s when it looked more like the ballroom it once was. But the refurbishment is nicely done and fits with U2's Clarence Hotel even if the restaurant is now outsourced to a third party. The personnel is very attentionate and effective, I am however disappointed by the impression of system gastronomy the restaurant leaves due to most of the dishes being fried. Definitely the place needs some fresh vegetables on the table.
Z. L.
Great food and all of the staff were fantastic.
j. l.
One of the most memorable Dinners we had in a long time, staff was very helpful and music was perfect.
Atmosphere very warm and welcoming, and the food is perfection.Couldnt wish for more !!!
O. Ö.
Lovely team, amazing food...
J. J.
Very nice food, but a bit pricey. Go for the pre-theater menu, if available. It's much better value and it has the nicest things on the menu.
Staff are friendly. There is not much you can knock it on really. Price is expensive that's the major point.
J. Q.
Has a lovely meal here. Really nice steak . Service was excellent and the restaurant is spacious, airy and modern. It is not cheap but it’s worth it in my opinion.
R. M.
Came to Cleaver East with a big hen party, with varying dietary requirements, some drinking and some not. All members of the party were catered for, food was amazing and staff were so helpful and kind. Thank you for having us!
D. W.
My party and I happened upon this restaurant connected with The Clarence Hotel.
We were looking for grub that wouldn't break the bank our first night in Dublin.
Not only did Cleaver East deliver on the affordability of their dinner service, but the quality of the food was in equal measures savory, textured and complex in flavor.
My recommendation is to go for the mango yogurt, mushrooms, duck confit, and #PORNburger. 😋
K. A.
Had an absolute fantastic brunch. Food was brilliant, service fantastic, and the atmosphere was perfect. We will definitely be back when in Dublin again! :)
J. B.
One of the best meals I've ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu. Don't let the prices fool you as this is definitely high class cuisine.
N. K.
Absolutely fantastic. Great food, drinks and atmosphere. When the worst part of the evening is that the fries were just okay, you know you're doing something right. 10/10
L. K.
We were happily surprised at the quality and superb taste of the food in Cleaver East from start to the last morsel of the desert. On top of that the service was excellent. We will certainly be returning.
R. A.
Just a brilliant restaurant. Both starter's and main's we had were excellent, the atmosphere and bar are great, the service was pretty impeccable, and whilst the pricing is slightly high it could probably be higher still, starter's/main/2 cocktails/bottle of wine between 2 all came to EUR 125 - fantastic find.
J. P.
Had been to the bottomless brunch once before which was great drinks flowing and excellent service.
This time however , half the menu is not on and the service is quite slow
E. O.
I had a fantastic brunch here on Sunday with friends. Food was amazing and staff were super helpful and attentive! We will definitely be back.
E. J.
Although their staff are always very pleasant and the food is nice, bottomless brunch is supposed to be just that and having to ask for refills I'd embarrassing and not pleasant on an afternoon out with friends. It was also soooooo warm there and could barely breath.
M. M.
Had brunch here recently, we went for the bottomless mimosas option & the staff were excellent. It was a busy service but they kept everyone's food coming and our glasses topped up.
M. D.
We had a lovely brunch on Sunday with bubbles, portions could be a tiny bit bigger but not a show stopper for a visit
D. S.
Great brunch menu and staff are really friendly and attentive. It's great atmosphere and even when it's busy you don't have to shout.
W. C.
Food great. Service mediocre. It would help a lot to train the staff to know the menu and the drinks and serve them in the right order. Wonderful food. At a place that I pay this much, service has to be spot on.
A. S.
Don't get bottled beer (330ml), draught beer (500ml) is almost the same price
B. N.
Great dinner, steak was amazing. Staff was helpful and a ton of fun. Decor is quite clever and unique. Excited to be back sometime soon.
S. W.
My favourite brunch in Dublin. A bit expensive but worth it with the food quality and staff were constantly filling up our mimosas
E. K.
Had a meal here with my wife recently and really enjoyed it. Food was excellent and service was really good and attentive without being over the top.
R. K.
Rich, tasty food and pleasant service.
P. S.
Super sharing 5-course menu, a mystery presented course by course - really delicious taste sensation, not a crumb left! Good atmostphere too and excellent service. Thanks guys!
M. G.
All good. We very much enjoyed our visit and will be back!
Y. C. K.
Food is good, however service was slow. Our bill was incorrect and we had to get it fixed, we weren't the only ones. A shame as the food and drink were delicious.
E. L.
Lovely food and comfortable surroundings but made really by the lovely staff. All so happy and helpful, we were made to feel so welcome.
S. T.
A really nice place, the food is absolutely fabulous and prices are correct. We got a lovely attention when I booked for my girlfriend's birthday, that was a kind details :)
T. C.
Beautiful meal and really good staff.
V. V.
The place was busy for Sunday brunch and we got seated at the bar. Attentive service. Good eggs just a tad expensive. Music was a touch loud too but overall a good experience
S. P.
Good food served in a nice atmospheric setting
m. M.
What can I say absolutely spot on at every stage of our evening food was great service was excellent and Raphael and Julianne are two fantastic ppl to deal with alongside Lynne in the events part they made every single part of the day run smoothly and the kitchen staff had it down to a fine art spot on guys and thanks so much !!!!!!!
S. C.
A great place for food in Dublin. Have been here numerous times and never had a disappointing meal - always top notch.
D. O.
Great food but horrible service
D. D.
Amazing steaks. Service was good. We were asked to visit the bar for a drink as table was not ready from previous customer, but that suited us anyways.
K. C.
Chicken and waffles were so good when I went for brunch here. Although it was quiet and there wasn’t much atmosphere.
B. C.
Very much enjoyed my visit to Cleaver East on Christmas Day. Friendly staff, quick service, lovely food and plenty of it. A bit expensive though! But the experience was positive
S. S.
The food is amazing! One of the best, most inspired and fine I've ever had. A very warm and welcoming place too.
Y. L. R.
Delicious food, lovely staff and the bottomless prosseco and cocktails is well organized. Will be going back for sure!
O.
Food was lovely but the staff were not very attentive, it was hard to get their attention and they even forgot about or drinks order at one point
R. F.
Great menu, lovely wait staff, good atmosphere, easy to talk as music not too loud, would go back again
K. D.
Amazing we will be back

a. G.
Food delicious, staff lovely.
E. S.
Excellent food (great menu for every taste - including vegans), great venue & service.
E. M.
I went for brunch. First cup I was given was dirty. Then the milk was gone off. The food was very nice but for the price and what happened I wouldn't highly recommend it.
I. R.
Serious food and drink options here and the staff are really friendly and attentive. Couldn't fault it. Will be back soon.
L. Q.
Good food, but not too special. The staff managed very well with our very large group.
C. L.
Best restaurant in Dublin City. 1st class
K. B.
Very good food and lovely atmosphere.
The food is rooted in the Irish kitchen but has an exotic touch.
J. P.
Great food, pretty expensive and fancy but good quality. Went here for an office Christmas party and the staff, service and food were all top notch
C. D.
fantastic sticky pork belly. also, the duck gyoza were excellently made. shouldn't be as inexpensive as it is
H. P.
Awesome place. Centrally located. Delicious food, but little expensive, around 30 euros for 3 course meals
L. F.
Super place, nice atmosphere, great food. Prices are a bit high but it's top notch quality
M. W.
The service was great! The food was alright but not worth the prices, which were quite steep.
J. F.

Where: Cleaver East by Oliver Dunne
What: A fancy quirky restaurant
How was it: We enjoyed ourselves and the food was good. The sad part was the bill at the end of the night. The second sad part was the quality of the service that was degrading as the night progressed. It was our first tapas experience.
We still manage to give 4* because our overall experience was good. We wouldn't go back unless we received an invitation, but you feel free to check it out if you like.
Grade: Eli = 4, Serge = 3.5
Recommend: Review the price tag first and if you have the budget try it out. Otherwise, there are many pubs that serve delicious food and beer for a fraction of the price.
M. C.
Great food and very friendly

(Translated) In Temple, nightlife and party place par excellence, the Cleaver, in its cool and quirky decor, offers a menu to lick your lips. Wide choice in a good menu, good deal with the early or late birds formulas. The renewed pornburger is to be discovered, a festival of flavors to be covered in all dishes. A beautiful moment.
