One of best Asian/Pakistani/Indian and more importantly halal food in Dublin!! Parking may be an issue during the day but out of hours easily available nearby!! Variety of desi dishes including nihari karahi paaye as well snacking samosay and chana chaat Although not very big dining area but both tables and carpet sitting options!! Food taste was good atleast in Dublin with reasonable quantity and price!!

Finding this place in the country like this is a bliss but I won't rate this place out of excitement. This place doesn't have MUTTON but lamb so please be double sure on this before ordering. Yes they have mughlai dishes but they don't have the authentic taste but you can't ask for more than this. Most importantly there dishes doesn't comes with curry so order accordingly. Breads are really big so its recommended to order 1 bread at a time so nothing goes waste. Since, they prepare real time (as that's what they say) so there's a waiting time of around 15 mins. The best part is you get HALAL food here. So basically, this is bliss in wilderness.

Good great. Strong medium chicken biryani... But! We came in, and noone came to greet us, so we walked up to the counter. Sat down and ordered food. Took long time. My husband ordered lamb, and got chicken. On the Bill it said lamb. The did not smile to us..

The food was and still is of excellent quality . Price wise it is not expensive at all. The gentleman who took the order is fantastic. I collected the food myself just to be able to have a look at the restaurant. I can't wait to be able to sit down once all restrictions are lifted. We really enjoyed the food.

Another work visit to Dublin, this place was just a short walk from Jurys Inn hotel. Neighbourhood looked a bit sketchy but restaurant was vibrant traditional Pakistani decor. Noone took me to my table more of a nod to the direction I should go, I went with the kebab karahi not bad they tasted like properly barbecued kebabs but they did soften pretty quickly which dropped the taste somewhat. Bottom line if your looking for some simple food its an ok place to go.

Great little place. Clean and tidy, helpful friendly staff and great tasting menu. The chairs are not the most comfortable but they do look the part. There were 8 in the group which wasn't a problem they moved some tables around to accommodate us. We ordered food to share rather than a dish each the starters were sizzling hot, moist and tasty. The curry dishes we ordered were meat and chicken. Both cooked well, full of flavour and tender pieces of meat. I'd certainly recommend a visit here.

Dera food we order is so delicious and day by day they doing great effort to bring more taste in their food , Nice and calm place with slow Bollywood music which mesmerise your kinda taste. Ordered here without any recommendations but was really in the mood for Indian food and this had good reviews so we decided to go for it. Found ourselves a little gem! Food came just about on time, 5 Mins early. Was still hot and portions were decent. We got a few bits to share and all were delicious. The best bit was the price, extremely affordable and super tasty. Worth every penny and will definitely order again.

I would give all 5 stars for food but it annoys me when they send food in a plastic bag .... When I started ordering from them, they didn't send plastic bag but now from last 3 times they are. I called them to request to not send plastic bag and Raita because that's waste for me but they didn't receive my calls three times. Other places find a way to send food without plastic bags, I think Dera can too.

Wow Wow Wow. I lived in London for 20 years and am back in Ireland 5 years. I'm always complaining that the choice, taste, price and availability in Ireland is not like Liverpool, London, Newcastle, Birmingham or Edinburgh is just not the same. Here the portions are tiny, the different dishes all taste the same and it costs a fortune. Well heavens above I just struck gold. This place is amazing. I ordered a meal for one which is well well well worth the money. I also added a Lamb Vindaloo which is hot hot hot but cooked so well you can actually taste the ingredients. The mixed pickle is to die for and the naan bread is cooked properly as is it's nice and flat but chewy and not burned. THe portions of meat in each of the main are MAN SIZE..... give this place a go. It's so worth it. Bargain at the price to and they deliver on time. I'll defo be a regular of this place. Thanks go much for making my Monday night. Yay. 5 Stars all round. x

Very good food, worth the price we paid. A friend and I went during their lunch time at exactly 1pm. The restaurant was 1 minute late to open. It was worth the wait though. The dinning area is rather cold. The atmosphere and the colours in the restaurant were very good. Customer service was fantastic. I would definitely eat there again.

We occasionally travel to Dublin and it’s always been hard to find authentic Pakistani food around. luckily we were taken to DERA by a local friend, whilst a short walk from the station, the Dera Restaurant did not let us down. Attentive, helpful staff. Very good food, with several of their own specials and all freshly cooked. The ambiance gives authentic Punjabi Dera environment and appealing hand paintings all around the walls in velvet are just immaculate add on to the fine dining experience. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for so no big fuss. Highly recommended.

The food was delicious, however the service wasn't great. When we walked into the restaurant, we wasn't greated with any welcome, they showed us to the table with the menus then went away untill we were ready to order. If you are someone who likes any alcohol with your curry, then you might want to re consider your choice.. they do not sell any alcohol. This wasn't a problem for us.. as we had heard reviews on how lovely the food was. After finishing our curry, we waited over 20 minutes for the table to be cleared, you could understand when they are rushed off their feet... But they weren't.

Found this by chance. Restaurant beautifully decorated. Staff are impeccably turned out, polite, and the service is excellent and quick. Food was absolutely amazing and there was loads of it. Really good meal here. Delicious selection of chutneys with the Popadoms. Lovely saag paneer and the mutton nihari was amazing. With naan and two rice came to 38eu. Would recommend.

Visited Dublin for the first time, was looking for Turkish Halal food restaurant when saw this Dera restaurant nearby. It was clean, very well decorated with good smell and light music. Since I was alone so only ordered one dish, Chicken Karahi. It was served in time along with Salad and hot Roti. Karahi had the same good taste as back home. Recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for desi food in Dublin. After a week of travelling in Europe and eating only Turkish food, it was a wonderful treat having real Desi food in pardes. 👍👍
