Great atmosphere and nice staff. Food was good and the portions were very large. Try out the fried mushrooms!
S. D.
We had a lovely time at this restaurant. The food was amazing. The Chicken Kiev and Buffalo wings are a must try. The quantity was quite generous. We also had our usual Guinness and tried the Gin Negroni and long Island Blue which was amazing as well.

Myself and my mother wanted a very good "Full Irish Breakfast" and we passes Flanagan's and saw that they served breakfast all day so we kept this mind. After some shopping and trying to find breakfast elsewhere we ended up back at Flanagan's and had a great breakfast!
Service was great with very kind staff. Food was excellent and came to our table fast! Loved the interior design too! I liked it so much I went back there myself two days later! Highly recommended!

Thr chicken wings tasted incredible, highly recommend it. The stew was also delicious, would've liked more broth but still good. We also ordered the all day breakfast but it was mediocre at best.

Had a good meal with my wife. I had the T-Bone steak (closest in the pic), my wife had the sirloin.
She'd asked for medium/well-done but it was served medium/rare (which I'd asked for), but they had no problem taking it back to correct it and even gave her another batch of fresh chips as an apology.
The food was tasty, staff were attentive, service fairly prompt, pricing was a little on the expensive side, but portion size was really good.
Atmosphere wasn't the best, but it was a Thursday night so not particularly busy.
We'd travelled to Ireland from Scotland, by road and ferry, and had to ensure we were prepared with proof of vaccination, clear lateral flow tests, etc.
When we got to the restaurant they were checking everyone's vaccination status, so be prepared for that - I'm sure this will be the situation everywhere.
It wasn't a problem for anyone, us included. We just showed our status on our phone (NHS Scotland has a great app for this).
Also, make sure you wear masks inside - Ireland have very similar laws to Scotland and Wales.

Randomly showed up here on a Saturday evening, definitely a busy night for them. As my partner and I weren’t fully vaccinated yet we had to eat outdoors. The wait for that was about 30 minutes as there isn’t a lot of space to eat outside. We didn’t mind at all though as it’s not the fault of the restaurant. People who were vaccinated were seated right away, so if you’re vaccinated you won’t have to wait much.
Now time for my actual review 😅 The waitresses were both so lovely 🥰 Kind and energetic, and even kept apologising for the wait even though they really didn’t have to 😅
We got the large buffalo wings to share, pesto chicken pasta, strawberry daiquiris and I got myself whatever was in that tall glass in the last slide (I’m not much of a drinker 😅😂)
Everything was great but the pasta was a bit bland for my liking. I did add some salt and pepper but I just wasn’t doing it for me.
Apart from that I do recommend coming here! I might return once I’m full vaccinated 😉

A centrally located venue on Dublin's O'Connell street supports a classic American diner style of decor, with red leather benches and booths with a fairly classic long standing menu of all the things you'd expect.
The staff are friendly and attentive, paying great attention to current covid guidelines. The fare is perfectly "lovely" much like a dinner you could make at home or have at your grannies, you certainly won't be hungry when you leave as the portions are very generous. The steak was cooked exactly to requirement, and presented well and the stuffed chicken was without surprise, the gravy being particularly delicious.
I have to say though it is the first time I've opened my own bottle of wine when the very lovely staff came up short because the bar man went home.
It's a lovely space, with lovely staff, and a steadfast menu, it has a lovely personality.

Visited Flanagans restaurant on Saturday morning. Both my wife & I had the large Irish breakfast. The food was delicious & the free tea & toast was a real bonus. Staff were friendly & helpful despite being busy. Would definitely recommend if you are really hungry.

Beautiful restaurant Inside outside terrace. The staff are very polite and work hard. You can tell they are experienced. Soup of the day was freshly made with homemade warm bread. Garlic cheese baguette was nice dressed with chives. Only downfall was the manager, he came across a little rude but it didn’t ruin our experience. Would recommend to try if looking for a nice place to eat on O’Connell street
J. G.
Nice and cozy restaurant with really good food, I think the prices are OK, most people forget that the prices are adjusted to Dublin, no matter if you are in the city center or further apart, the prices really don't change that much and you can't expect to have the same prices like in your own country
S. S.
The food and the staff were excellent! Highly recommend to anyone new in Dublin

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat, nice clean restaurant. Food was lovely, best steak I've had in a while. Will definitely go back the next time I'm down in Dublin.
T. L.
Excellent quality food......Staff very friendly and supportive....definitely a place to return back 👌
R. O.
Lovely server from Brazil, she was a real breath of fresh air. Salmon in broth really nice and a change from the usual fare elsewhere. Will definately be back.

Some of the best food I have ever had. I started with a mint julep, delicious, then had garlic bread, amazing, then had bangers and mash, to die for, and finished with sticky toffee pudding, out of this world. I took off a star for 3 reasons. One is that the front of staff is not wearing a mask or really checking covid certificates, just making people put there names and numbers on a sheet of paper. the second reason is that when served my dessert the ice cream on the side was served in a plastic side cup, that you get ketchup in. I thought that was a bit odd and definitely is not a good portrayal for the quality of service ware. My last reason is there was definitely some communication issues going on as waiters asked different groups if they ordered this or if they ordered that. Just not the most professional. But all in all, the restaurant was such a good deal and wood definitely recommend. For all 4 items i ended up paying under 42 euros, not bad for a mixed drink and three courses!

We very much enjoyed our first traditional Irish hearty stew here. The waiter was kind, helpful and accommodating even though we as tourists didn't have " papers".
K. L.
My Son and myself were looking for a breakfast and we came across Flanagans. Staff were really nice and helpful, breakfast was beautiful so if you're in Dublin take a trip to Flanagans you won't be disappointed.
A. W.
Lovely food and dessert here. Staff were also very nice too. The only problem I would have with it was they were rushing us a bit for our dessert order.
T. C.
Been going here for decades. Food always great! Staff was a bit slow this time for not being busy but overall good.
V. M.
Had a delicious breakfast at Flanagans. We were brought to our seats and menu's were already on the table. We had to get someone's attention to order our breakfast but breakfast was served very fast and it was tasty & good valve. Will go back here again, when staying in the area.
F. C.
Excellent position, the food was good, though the Guinness Pie was not actually a pie. We found the waitress/owner not very welcoming. We had to pay before eating but we could not pay separately... not very handy.
D. L.
Lovely place, with an amazing tasty food and reasonable prices. Every time when I'm visiting Dublin I'm eating mostly there. Love their steaks and deserts! Also worth to mention stuff, friendly, with a good sense of humor will always help to choose the best for you if you can't decided yourself. The place is not very spacious, wouldn't suit for a big company's dinner.
R. R.
Ah twas grand but had the pizza, it was alright but a bit greasy to be honest and maybe this is personal preference but I think it could of been cooked a bit longer, for the thickness of the dough it was, a bit doughy. Look at me, gordo Ramsey all of a sudden. The host also doesn't wear a mask but the waitresses did to be fair
M.
Excellent service! Very attentive and friendly. Very nice looking bar. Great place to hide from Ophelia! We had the roast beef with mash and the Irish stew. Solid roast, meat and gravy was good. The Irish stew, made with lamb, was a surprise. It was full of flavour and delicious.

Highlights:
Service is friendly and regular
Prices are reasonable
portion sizes are quite large (mixed grill at least).
Central location
Lowlights:
The mixed grill featured rashers and sausages which looked like basic musgraves cheap deli style fare. Clearly reheated as the rashers were dry.
Liver was tough but otherwise the burger, fries etc were fine.
Décor at the back of the restaurant is tacky and mismatched, the "American" red diner style couches need to go.
Worth a visit but needs improving on some fronts before I'd go back. A handy spot for a quick lunch or to rest up over shopping.
s. f.
Given recent changes we had no table booked and staff very kindly accommodated us.We had starters and main course and drinks.Food was excellent and staff friendly. All left overs we packed into takeaway boxes. Will return again soon.Thank you.
S. S.
Nice family made food. Delicious. Belinda and staff would be hard to be bested...
M. M. C.
Good food service - could be improved the waitress that served me by a very ignorant attitude - maybe it was because of the way I was dressed which was in jeans/jumper or maybe it was because I wasn't paying by credit card. I don't believe in relying on them for all purchases and its nice to have a few quid rattling around in your pocket. What did people do before all this plastic!!.All in all I enjoyed my meal and left there after a good meal.
W. C.
Very good in fact excellent we had dinner there Wednesday night went back Thursday for the lunch great service staff lovely
M. S.
Came here because of the Google reviews as well as the distance from my hotel. My family and I was seated quick and the lady hostess was very nice . But the service could be better when serving the food. We placed our order and then sit and watch as the table next us who came in way after us received their starter and main food before us. Idk why . . . Smh .
t.
Food portion was good. I had the lamb chops. The food came out really quickly almost as if it was pre-made beforehand. The lamb chops barely had any seasoning but maybe I'm used to seasoning in my meat.
K. N.
I ordered a smoked salmon as cold starter and a non-acoholic sunset cocktail.
Fast serving as we wait only 5 minutes to get an empty table. The staff and waiters are friendly. Very comfortable romantic atmosphere.
It was a lovely supper for me and my friend enjoyed it too with her chicken pasta! ❤️
G. M.
Very nice small restaurant just in the middle of city centre, small terrace in front. Politely and friendly staff. Won't have to wait long for table, good food and good coffee.
C.
We were staying in Dublin for 2 nights and came into Flanagans both morning for breakfast - it was absolutely incredible we got the Full Irish on the first day and the pancake stack the second and both were absolutely delicious. I am a wheelchair user and thestaff couldn't have done enough to accommodate me finding Mr a space which suited my chair and moving any other chairs out of my way. Our Covid certs were checked on both occasions which made me feel extra safe knowing everyone inside was vaccinated. Even when the staff were busy they had a friendly word for you - 1000% recommend
L. F.
I had lunch there today the 8th December with my 2 daughters. The staff were very accomdating and polite. The food was excellent. We were very relaxed while we ate lunch.
M. L.
Great all day breakfast and great service still covid compliant which I was really glad at this time
A. M.
Absolutely beautiful as always xx food is delisious especially Guinness Pie.
Very friendly staff . Beautiful place
D. L.
Came here for breakfast on Good Friday, it wasn’t too busy. Love that the servers were very friendly and attentive - provided additional cutlery and plates without us asking, and service was prompt. Comfortable seating and food was delicious and good portion
C.
Food was lovely but did haven’t have attention you’d expect from resuarant. 40 mins after we arrived and I’m being generous waitress came to take order after we beckoned her admitted she forgot us . No checking of whether food was ok like normaly never checked if we wanted pudding Or more drinks. All I can say is food made up for service. Maybe don’t get seated at last table by stairs to toilet they may forget yr there 😀
d. f.
Really enjoyed my Haiwan Pizza. My wife had the goats cheese salad which she really liked. Minor complaint from her that a bit more cheese would have been nice. Good location. Jon Furnell
J. F.
Had a small breakfast here this morning 2 eggs bacon sausage and beans with toast and tea for 6 euros Great value. service was excellent lovely staff would recommend to everyone.
A. O. F.
Lovely welcoming staff, beautiful layout of the establishment, and we were able to get seating very quickly. Our waitress was very cheerful and polite, atmosphere was fantastic and the food was out of this world - I would definitely recommend Flanagan's! My friend and I both had burgers (incredible!), while I had raspberry iced tea and she had a mojito - delicious. Whether it's a drink or a meal, I think Flanagan's will have something for everyone!
H. M.
Needed a place to eat after long day, they didn't make us feel rushed either when dinning.
Nice wings and Pasta.
Lovely people as well.
R. R.
Nice restaurant with very friendly staff. Lots of variety on the menu. The food was really nice but the mash potato was not good. It was very dry and tasted almost powdery.
A. K.
We came to Dublin for a 4 day break from the uk
We found Flanagans on the first night and ended up eating there every evening and every morning.
Great home cooked style food which was always hot and never had to wait long
Great quality food and the staff are very friendly
Their Irish stew is to die for
Flanagans keep up the great work
A. B.
It was fine eating here, but it wasn't really amazing. The food tasted good, including the dessert, but it was a bit pricey. The staff did their job, of course, but it could have been a little more personal. Also, a couple of tables away two kids were watching a video loudly on their phone and the staff did not say anything about it. Our neighbors had to say something for them to stop. But, I definitely have to say something about their Iced Tea. It's 100% the best iced tea I have ever tasted and ice tea in the Netherlands will never be the same after this. It was really really good, I can't emphasize that enough. That's the reason I'm giving it four stars instead of three.
T. T. B.
One of my favourites in Dublin friendly staff, quick service, nice surroundings and excellent food can't wait to come back
M. W.
Friendly and welcoming staff. Good ambience. Didn't eat here but the food looked really good.
A. D.
Such amazing food! We had the chicken & ham lunch deal, and oh my goodness, I can't remember the last time I had a gravy that good! My boyfriend even ate all of his veggies. 😉 I would come here more often if I wasn't here for a few days. Lovely!
G. G.
Really great food. Nice fast service. Definitely worth a stop if you need a place to eat. Wings and steak were on point. Recommend my meal challenge. Do a three course special, at least two pints of Guinness and an Irish coffee, you won't be disappointed.
And another tip, go next door to the bus station center and get a Dublin book for your coupon for free Irish coffee.

Staycation in Dublin booked in to 5star hotel
Went for breakfast but were we disappointed so left hotel in search of a descent hot breakfast .
A few feet down the road we stumbled on Flanagans & WOW we were not disappointed
Breakfast was amazing my husband had full Irish I had the omelette hot & delicious with free range eggs 🤗 it came with toast & a drink of our choice
Price was also great for Dublin O Connell St Total Bill €21.90
The Blonde Lady that served us was so friendly & help full came to us several times checking to see if all was ok 👍
We’l be back tomorrow Morning for the same . .
Well done to Cheffs .👍
l. k.
Gr8 food in city centre. Manager really takes care of you covid certs a must which is checked unlike many places can't fault it. Can't wait for another feed
다.
It’s really good restaurant. I ate Irish stew& steak. The foods were so delicious. The staff is really friendly. I want to visit again.
M. B.
Great beef and guinnes pie and the apple pie was perfect
C. C.
The food is amazing, the place is also good. I just didn't like that we were finishing eating and the waitress was there collecting our plates and everything. And just seconds after that we received our bill without asking for this. We didn't know if we would have eat a desert or drink another beer but when we received the bill without we have asked we didn't consume anything else. They should improve this point.
L. R.
Food, service and atmosphere are top notch🙌 lived in Dublin for 23 years and always passed but never went in... So happy I did!
J. K.
The Lasagne was passable and a solid meal, but €15.95 a bit steep, service prompt and efficient. The booths seats are extremely soft bringing the table up mid thorax on me and to my mother's neck (4' 11") requiring a cushion, i said 2, and elbows at near shoulder height before getting stuck in.. we were given a complimentary garlic sauce for the chips despite not being on the menu (its the little things) which was nice and not a fuss. Mams roast beef was HUGE, so I'd really suggest that for value ***** I'd say on mams behalf.
C. M.
A great place to dine in. They have indoor or outdoor Dining. Lots of choice of food on the menu. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is fab.
k. b.
Great food fast service really nice friendly staff cant wait to go back

This place is great. We had the stew and Guinness and beef pie and both were amazing
C. D.
Perfect food was lovely and the dark haired young waitress still at school is a credit to your business she served us Sunday and Monday nite very helpful very professional at her job and a happy bubbly girl
S. H.
Enjoyed a full Irish and they gave soda bread when asked also gluten free for the better half. Unfortunately Madigans was closed and Brannigans was full! Well done Flannigans 👏
L. D.
This was our first meal when we arrived in Dublin from NYC early one summer morning. We asked our nephew to recommend a good place to have breakfast, and he brought us to Flanagan's. It did not disappoint! We all had a full Irish breakfast and lots of tea. Great first meal of our Irish holiday. Cheers! 🇺🇲☘️🇮🇪

Staff very friendly and good food. Good location. I would definitely recommend this place
K. L.
My soup was salty and my friend’s dish was bland. Portions are great but pretty expensive. More expensive than what the dish is worth
M. G.
Cane up from tralee today, had the breky here it was so good and staff were great..we have been here before ..not our first rodeo so we obviously love it..👍👍
S.
The menu was full of options, service was pretty good. Loved the decor wasn't like your typical breakfast place, reasonably priced as well!!
A. T.
Food is pretty good, the ambience is okay. A decent place for a quick bite or a pint.
B.
Heineken pints are flat no gas.. you can tell by looking at it without even having to drink it.
If issue is resolved they can potentially gain another star.
K. f.
Absolutely 💯 gorgeous no complaints whatsoever. Will definitely be back next time I'm visiting Dublin.
R. E.
Nice place. Amazing staff. Lovely location with very good food.
m. g.
Nice place, good food, breakfast was delicious and Irish stew tasty. Decent if you visit Dublin
J. S.
Flanagan's is a pretty fancy restaurant with accessible prices and a good atmosphere. Definitely good for a cozy date. I ate there a delicious rack of ribs (I only have a pick of the boneyard, sorry).
j. h.
Staff friendly, food was great and it's a place you can go again and again with no disappointment.
A. D.
Overall the experience was nice, but I wouldn't say it offered value for money. The food was fairly ok yet quite expensive.
Pros:
Irish coffee was nice, really nice glasses too. Had a goats cheese burger which was nice.
The staff were pleasant.
Cons:
The burger was about €17 but it wasn't particularly special. The Irish coffee was quite steep at €7 but I think this is probably usual for Dublin.
K. M.
Very good place right in the city centre. Super friendly staff and fast service. We had the burger and the lasagne. It was exactly what I wanted from a place like this. Simple and tasty, could be described as comfort food. The banoffee was to die for. Overall a great experience:)
M. K.
Lovely lunch served in efficient friendly way felt very safe due to covid detailedchecks
l. c.
It was expensive. No great Christmas atmosphere. Food was good.
M. C.
Friendly service but mediocre lunch. Irish stew with lamb was bland and chewy. Fish and chips were equally non memorable.
J. M.
Place was ok. A little pricy for what you get. Service was slow. Ordered the pork chops and a whisky. You're paying for location..
C. C.
Great place for some traditional Irish grub, the homemade lemonade was a nice touch!
M. S.
Ok place. Staff was efficient. Pancakes tasted like they were microwaved. Wasn't terrible, wasn't great.
F. L.
Food quite ok but not extraordinary. Staff a little bit indiferent
L. S.
Talk about authenticity. I said I'd come back to Ireland for a real stew and boy the stew was great. The staff were also brilliant and very quick to serve
F. K.
As always super food and helpful staff a pleasure to be in the restaurant
J. O.
Excellent meals Friendly staff. Disappointed with the state of men's toilets. 3 urinals. First covered in a black bag, 2nd with a large bucket below it to catch a leak I guess and 3rd very dirty. Would have given 5 stars but for male toilets.
S.
Lovely spot.
Staff well mannered.
Food pretty decent.
r. o. c.
Went for breakfast. Good size portions food was great and fast service
S. O. K.
Food was delicious and great value would definitely go again
A. L.
Grate place amazing food nice location. Friendly staff. The staff just need to know the menu abit better. Rest is perfect i highly recommend this place very fresh very modern.
S. K.
Staff are very disorganised slow very expensive food was OK
K. H.
Food was OK but uninspiring, and not very tasty.
Service was fine.
Overpriced but OK in a pinch if you can't find anywhere else.
k. p.
Food was ok, waitress was friendly. Good covid measures in place.
s. f.
Quick service as always and pleasant staff. My favorite stop for a bite to eat in Dublin
G. O.
Great food, good price and prompt and friendly service!
T. O.
After two weeks in Ireland, this filet mignon was the best meal we have had!
F. K.
Nice place,good food,well worth a call
H. G.
Fantastic food, fantastic atmosphere & attentive staff
w. s.
Good food and a nice atmosphere. The staff was very friendly
W. M.
Have eaten here a few of times while visiting the fantastic city of Dublin. The food is delicious, loved the baked chicken with stuffing and ham, what a treat. Have also noted how careful the staff is and appreciate their attention to social distancing and disinfecting everything. Look forward to some more meals there before I head home and will definitely plan on visiting when I come back. And so reasonable TOO!
l. b.
Great menu with a variety of options to suit all. Lovely welcoming staff and food was delicious.
H. B.
The best staff I've ever been around in long time. Didn't get girl name but she was the best nicest ever
S. G.
Very nice restaurant. Friendly staff, clean and well kept. Will visit again for the food and atmosphere.
E. T.
So amazing, the best meal we had in Dublin! Definitely worth the wait for a table.
D. N.
Lovely food. Nice staff.
E. W. o.
Great place for first time visiting this City. I had the 2 filet mignon steak with a butter garlic sauce, and a really great whiskey sour.
Very pleased.
A. B.
the best breakfast in town.. and stuff is beautiful end lovely.
C. H.
The food was ok, though over priced for the quality and quantity. I ordered the lasagna; aside from the sauce it was well put together. The chips were not overly note worthy. Unfortunately the largest drawback has been service. There seem to be lots of staff on duty but unfortunately neither my table, nor the one beside me seem to be able to get anything (including the bill), it took just over 10 minutes for my drink order to be taken. I will add that when we did see the staff they were extremely polite.
L. V.
I had a very tasteful lamb stew.
Great service.
Recommended
R. M.
Loved fillet steak. Always have my steaks well done. It was soft, chewable and not dry. Served with french fries and onion with mushrooms. You also can choose sauce. Had butter with some garlic. Burgers and pizzas were very good as well. Took pizza leftovers home. Was too tasty to throw out.
The overall atmosphere and food was worth the money spent.
J. W.
Fish and chips a staple of Dublin was on the menu here. Very appetizing. There was live music as there is in almost every pub in Dublin.
E. L.
Visited from Canada.. we were told to go to Flanagans. Great choice for gourmet Irish food. Bangers and mash were delicious!
D. P.
A little expensive but worth
W. d. V.
Best bread and butte pudding in years. The main dish was a bit dull, but desert and coffee where great. Next time I’m choking for coffee and desert
M. C.
We arrived early (just before 7pm) in case the restaurant was busy, only to be told they were closing early and we could only order mains. Seemed a bit odd, but was fine with us. My friend had a pizza which he said was as good as recognised pizza restaurants (and it did look nice), I had the grilled salmon with vegetables - superb! Would have given it 5 stars if there had been a more ambient atmosphere, but it was closing early and nearly empty.
A. H.
Visited here on a whim and very glad we did. The service was amazing and the food was outstanding, lovely Irish food and a great steak. Normally I struggle to find something I like on a menu but there was so much choice that I struggled to pick instead. Will definitely return if I'm in Dublin!
R. D.
My outlaws made the reservation here and based on previous reviews I though oh no. But I was pleasantly surprised. The service and food was excellent. I had the fish and chips with a Guinness and it was absolutely yummy. Would I come back oh yes - atmosphere wasn't bad either.
S. G.
Great food amd service. Got a table very quickly as it's outdoor dining at the minute.
M. M.
Food here is more than Delicious and the staff go out of there way to make sure everything is ok for you one of the best Restaurant's in Dublin
F. L.
A bit overpriced compared to other restaurants with similar options. Food was good though and I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb shanks while everyone else also enjoyed their plates. Service was good but we did have to remind them we don't eat with our hands but rather prefer utensils such as forks and knives and what not. Not displeased however and overall satisfied. Would definitely eat there again.
G. L.
Went for a meal this evening with my wife and I have to say will definitely go again. My wife had pizza and enough in it for 2 people.I had bangers and mash and was perfect and have to say best I have had in a long time. Staff from second we walked in to time we walked out where friendly and helpful and that's a big plus. So from staff to food a huge 10 out of 10. Thank you to all and as said see you soon.
J. M. D.
Service was perfect and very helpful last night. Recommended me to have a brown relish to mixed with my Lamb Stew was something different and sweet. I didn't know the stew needs something else. Haha. Love the hot whiskey!!! Though is simple and pleasant yet is the best beverage for winter.
N. B.
The food , the stew and the stuffed chicken entrees were very good and the service was quick and friendly. However, we felt the atmosphere was a bit plain, almost like a diner, and not on par with some other Irish pubs in close vicinity. We wished there could have been some lively Irish music playing. But at least we got a good and hearty meal. If you want bread, you have to ask for it. What I got were 2 slices of bread, like you would use for toasting or a sandwich.
M. F.
Food was incredible staff were very polite and service was excellent well worth a visit and very complient to covid guidelines
M. L.
This is the Best restaurant on O'Connell street, which is not saying much on the face of it, but that shouldn't be taken as faint praise.
It has a tight menu of classic dishes, executed with skill. Always fresh and tasty. It is pricey, but that is reassuring when you are ordering plates with what you hope are expensive cuts of steak or seafood.
Lofty ceilings, cozy booths, funky 20s decor and pleasant staff generate a smart but relaxed atmosphere to land this restaurant full marks.
H. L.
Great food, good prices and staff.
A. G.
Great and fresh food. We ate from the lunch menu and the waiters were nice
J. Y.
This place is great. Food was flavorful, atmosphere was lively and servers were very friendly. I had Bangers and Mash for the first time. Justin has the Beef and Guinness pie. Prices are medium range and worth every penny.
R. M.
Best steak on the main way Burgers and Fries everywhere go here for good food
M. S.
Nice food and good service as always.
M. F.
Great food and drink, very trendy and right in the centre of Dublin. We will definitely be back.
C. M.
Good food. We were a group of 10 people including an 18 month old. The service was good. Everyone got their meal at about the same time. The food was hot and filling. The mini breakfast was sufficient for me. Some of our group had the full irish breakfast and found it delicious. Overall an excellent place to rest and eat!
A. D.
I have to say this place is brilliant the food is delicious and the service and staff is amazing and also the food was served quick!! would definitely recommend
And thank you to the lovely Costas (not sure that’s you spell her name)
But wow she was so sweet and friendly😊

We always stop here for lunch.. Excellent fixed price menu with a good selection of good food. If you want something else they offer well stocked menu. Prompt service and efficient staff. Disabled toilet on same level as restaurant. Ladies and gents downstairs. Both toilets very clean and fresh. Definitely worth a visit
Y. L.
Nice place, nice food and staff. They have delicious chowder, sea food pasta is very nice as well. I couldn't finish as, despite I have not been eating since morning, at 7 was too full with chowder and half plate of pasta)
We we're waiting for a bit long, but then staff was very caring.
D. G.
Very nice place lovely food.
D. K.
We love this place and visit every time we come to Dublin. Daneka is lovely and very friendly.
The food is nice and the menu is good. Homemade Irish food. If they played Irish music it would
give a better atmosphere.
H. M.
Good price, nice expresso , good food as well. The staff extremely polite and efficient.
The ambiance is familiar and friendly if you are visiting Dublin you should go there to eat good food, have nice pints and chill a bit.
P. P. (.
During the busy periods, the wait can be 15 minutes. Seating outside with heaters. Moderate pricing ranging 20's and more. Food is very good and you're not gonna leave hungry. They have nice bubblegum soda. And I recommend the seafood linguine, I go back there often for that. They have a mix of italian, American and traditional irish food.
d. S.
I was a little worried about the price (15-30 euro per dish) but thankfully they delivered in both quantity and quality in full! Their meat was sublime! A great choice if ya enjoy gourmet food.
S. S.
Visiting from the USA and this was our best dining experience in Dublin (previously had a lot of pub food). Service was good, even on a busy night. Food came out timely and server was attentive. Our starters and main course were excellent. There was a wide variety of food on the menu to satisfy a range of tastes. It had the vibe of an American mom &a pop family restaurant. Glad we found Flanagan's
M. H.
Good food table service not good
T. G.
Is not cheapest one but Realy nice food place and service. Staff realy nice and kind. at all time they Ask how is food and how you feel or maybe need anything else. I realy spend good time there
D. C.
Food great pleasant atmosphere
C. R.
Lovely food and very nice staff
J. L.
The very best meal I have had in ages.❤ I had their roast of the day with veggies which was succulent roast lamb. It was absolutely delicious and the service was gr8. Definitely a place to visit if you are in Dublin.
C. H.
Had the stuffed chicken with the homemade gravy, mash and vegetables. The chicked was a bit dry, so I had to dip it in the gravy quite often. The raspberry iced tea was a tad too sweet for my taste, but still good. Staff was very friendly. Recommended.
D. F.
Best food ever! I had lunch special of roasted chicken with ham, gravy, mashed potatoes, greens, julienned carrots, dressing, and mashed orange veggie. Should have been enough to share and I ate most all alone. I will definitely return.
J. S.
I went to this restaurant when I was feeling under the weather, so I had a hard time eating my food but can give my review based on the rest of my experience.
The service was fantastic and the waiter was very friendly and accomodating. Unfortunately as it is in many European places, you have to walk past all the smokers in order to get to your table and that didn't help my situation, but the waiter made sure to put us away from them.
The service was very quick and the food was great. I didn't eat all my food due to not feeling well but my travel buddy ate all of hers and mine, and confirmed it was great, it also looked delicious so I was bummed.
This is definitely a place I would recommend when in Dublin.
They also have a basement with a bar in it that you can enter from the street that looks like it is part of some pub crawl experience thing, looks worth it to check out.
J. N.
Amazing, went in for full Irish breakfast for 2 and a kids breakfast. We were seated and order taken immediately. Slight delay with one breakfast which both waitress and manager came and apologised for and provided free tea and toast because of this.
The food was perfect and very reasonably priced.
If the owners are reading this you have one outstanding waitress working for you. ( I think her name was Danika) This girl knows how customers should be treated and I hope she's appreciated because you are very lucky to have her.
This is definitely my go to place for breakfast in town from now on.
j. w.
Fantastic food and service would recommend this restaurant 😉
G. R.
Delicious food, friendly staff. A1. Easily a 5 star review.
S. M.
Good pizza..the Cesar salad was not crisp and there was a lot of dressing in it. Average service. It was late when we arrived probably 30 minutes before they closed. Think they were trying to close. I'd give a 2.5 if I could.
B. M.
Absolutely delicious. Don't let the small front fool you as it goes right back. Fast and friendly staff and even though it was full our food arrived in a timely manner and was fantastic. Highly recommended
F. P.
Breakfast in the morning and Lunch / Dinner. Dont expect Something Special. But would recommend ist anyway.
N. F.
Came to Dublin for our anniversary and decided to try somewhere that wasn’t up north! Walked past Flanagan’s and decided to try...
We ordered Fish and Chips, and Meat Lovers Pizza, we were most definitely impressed, we are both quite picky but this restaurant provides all. Even the small details of a proper napkin and friendly staff that check and make sure everything is okay.
We will definitely come back and will recommend it to all our friends and family. Keep up the great work!
V. V.
The restaurant is located on a main street near bus stops. We had a few drinks, the meat lovers pizza, and a ceaser salad. Both the salad and pizza were very good and I would definitely eat again. The lack of a fifth star is due to atmosphere. Nothing special about the decor or vibe, but the food was tasty.
F. B.
Tasty food, cosy atmosphere, sensibly priced lunch menu and friendly staff. Just what was needed before boarding our bus to airport. Much of Dublin is overpriced tourist trap but this place bucked that trend a bit. Having said that, this was their lunch menu, heavily discounted to what you will have on offer come the evening
J. P.
The bartender was amazing (he should be in charge). The food was 50/50 good. Beef and Guiness was delicious..but the sides, not so much. The service was not good at all. The atmosphere is more fast paced, quick meal diner.
S. m.
Very nice place. The brownie one of the best in Dublin!
J. O.
We stopped there spontaneously for dinner , my boyfriend ate a la carte whilst I chose from the current Christmas dinner menu. I had the Fried breaded Brie for starter and my god it was one of the best I ever had and I had many in my life. Together with the sweetness of the dip and walnuts in sidesalad absolutely loved it. Kudos to the chef here! For the mains I had a vegetable lasagne which had a nice fresh taste and not too heavy. I finished with warm apple pie and cream, an absolute dream. My tastebuds enjoyed every bite . My boyfriend went for the garlic bread as starter, ten oz sirloin steak and also Apple Pie but all from the normal Menu so his Apple pie came with custard and icecream.he was very happy with his food too. Staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself has a tasteful design not too old fashioned but nice and cozy Definitely would go there again when we are back in Dublin.
A. M.
Good pub but there are definitely better in the area. I really liked the tomato soup (but it's not always available just when it's the soup of the day) and bread that came with it was great! Hamburger with bacon and cheese was only ok, not great. Fries were good. Service was good. Definitely also a little pricer than other bars in the area!
J. M.
Ordered burgers & mash and steak, food was all cooked to request and served quickly. "Chips" were served rather than fries. Perhaps they use fries and chips interchangeably. Not bad just not great. Steak made dinner pricey.
C. L.
Lovely Staff the best chicken Kiev I've ever had and the best bread and butter pudding (other than my mams). My daughter had the salmons with potato and veg followed by chocolate brownie. All washed down with raspberry iced tea If there were 6 stars it wouldn't be enough ! Gorgeous. Make it your business to eat here.
C. K.
Lovely food friendly staff, efficient service. No issues changing the time of my booking, all done online with instant confirmation.
J. W.
Ordered bangers & mash and steak, food was all cooked to request and served quickly. "Chips" were served rather than fries. Perhaps they use fries and chips interchangeably. Not bad just not great. Steak made dinner pricey.
S. M.
Awesome Restruant , professional friendly staff . Busy but not uncomfortable. Top class food with a warm relaxing atmosphere . To top it all I had a 5star pint of Guinness .The next time we're in the big smoke we'll be sure to go back
j.
Overall, very good. Good selection of wine; food quality was very good. Tip: Based on my experience, if you prefer steak to be medium rare in North america, I recommend you ask them to cook it at medium.
O. M.
I never get disappointed when I eat here, the food is tasty, fresh and the staff are really pleasant. If you're ever in O'Connell street and you want to take a break from the seemingly endless fast food restaurants, try Flanagan's for some well cooked 'real home' food.
S. F.
A lovely restaurant with very friendly and easy going staff. We didn't feel rushed in anyway at all. The good was tasty and very good value. Plenty of veggies to go with the main course. I would recommend this restaurant.
S. D.
A great place to eat in Central dublin
E. S.
Been here loads if times for breakfast staff go above and beyond the food is absolutley delicious breakfast is fab they will be missed a lot over the next 6 weeks can't wait to see you bck open
M. S.
Had a lovely breakfast there (the full Irish one). Was really good.
One thing that was kind of a bummer was the cafe macchiato which I mistakenly ordered because I wanted a latte macchiato. Don't do that uf you're expecting latte.
However, great food well priced. Good way to start a day in Dublin.
d.
The food is very good here with a variety to suit all tastes. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly.
P. F.
Lovely food and great staff
M. B.
I went here with my brother on Saturday for dinner.we both got the chicken and ham dinner and would give it 10 out of 10☆.and the staff where very friendly and made us feel welcome. I would recommend going to Flanagan's if you are ever in Dublin.
M. M.
Tried Flanagans for breakfast this morning as I was walking down O'Connell street and I used to go to the kylemore which is changed now to things like avocado on toast for breakfast which is disappointing (unless that's your sort of thing). Nice to find a proper Irish breakfast and for the mini breakfast at just €5 I was pleasantly surprised at the service, quality and taste of the food. Will definitely be my new go to place for breakfast in town.
Lovely staff thanks again
M. I. R.
Lovely food, very friendly staff who leave you to enjoy your meal and conversation and observe from afar. They don’t overpower you with constant is “everything ok” sayings. Lovely atmosphere for a meal. Will definitely be back
C. M.
Food was serviceable but not worth the price. Seafood linguine was a lot of linguine and little seafood. Saw a few tables arrive after us and get serviced before we ever got food, felt a bit forgotten until we asked where our order was.
T. R.
If you don’t have a place to go and you are on Dublin and you want to taste local food for a good price this is your place. Although they have a huge menu with pizzas and burguers you will also find there Irish stew and Guinness pie which was what I had and was pretty decent! The inside of the pub is really nice and tradicional but you also have an outside area where you can have your meal and have an eye on the Main Street. It worths to go here and doesn’t look like a tourist trap at least I didn’t feel it. You can have dinner for around 25€.
H. M.
Food was beautiful great menu and great service good quality food
S. d. C.
Nice atmosphere...good breakfast..
R. T.
Had breakfast which I consider to be excellent value for money by Dublins standards...very clean.. very friendly staff...however our dinner was a bit of a 50/50 ...the Irish stew was perfect....the steak more fat than meat...but all round a good experience..
M. L.
The service was friendly and quick but the food was disappointing. Beef and Guinness pie was pretty good but was served alongside stewed veg and cool, hard lumpy mash which had both obviously been sitting around a while. Flanagans classic carbonara was bland and uninspired.
S. M.
Lovely food , good service
E. D.
Great spot. We got drinks and the Irish stew and it was wonderful. Fun ambiance here and it's close to everything. Staff was friendly and even took a picture for us in front of the resturant, which was so sweet.
N. D.
Great place for something to eat in heart of the city. Lovely food friendly staff would recommend
S. Z.
Great place for a quick lunch. My fiancée and I ate there 3rd time already.
Service is very good. Tasty food in a good price.
I would recommend grabbing a meal in Flanagan's!
M. S.
Basic Irish fare with a few extra things (like pizza and pasta), popular with visitors to Dublin city-centre area. I had the pre-fix pre-theater menu, Your choice of 3 or 2 courses. My choice was Roast Beef with veg and mash, and a potato/leek soup starter. I did not have dessert, but the sticky toffee pudding was a hit, so I hear. Service was prompt attentive and friendly. Full bar and wine available. Enjoyed the experience. Good!
A. R.
Thiago took care of us when we were hungry! We had been forgotten at Murray's across the street and Thiago made sure we got our food that we ordered in a timely manner with a great attitude! Thank you Thiago and the rest of the Flanagan's staff!
j. r.
Excellent food. Staff were very helpful and friendly
S. D.
The Vibe of this resturant is pretty great. We walked in and where promptly seated. Sadly it was by the front door but they took care of us right away. The manager saw me pull out my charger and immediately unplugged his macbook to accommodate my phone. While we did wait a while for our food , our server came by multiple times to apologize and reassure us that we have not been forgotten. I cannot blame them for the long food times , the place was packed! The food was delicious and in the end we did leave in a good mood with full stomachs.
M. C. D.
Very good food. It's not something you would eat every day, so don't expect it to be as cheap as other places, but there is a very good balance between price and quality
p. O.
Disappointed with Flanagan's
Service average - no attention to detail - only two settings for a four person table that we had reserved.
Waitress was a little uninterested - Food average enough
Very expensive for what we had
Would not go return
S. Q.
Beautiful food and waitress who served us was absolutely lovely, so pleasant with a beautiful smile. If I'm back in Dublin I will def go back there
M. L.
Went in for breakfast. Had a nice small fry. Friendly staff and they were fast with the food. Well priced for a fancy looking place. Would like to try dinner there sometime
T. L. R.
Great food and service. Ate there twice since we enjoyed it. Some of the chairs/sofas could have been better, but it is not a unique to this place, it is the same in most places we visited in Ireland (Dublin and Galway).
L. F.
Been here 5 years ago during my first stay in Dublin. Excellent food. Try traditional irish recipts (ex. Connemara Chicken, Irish Stew, ...) and you'll not be disappointed. If you want something simpler, taste the steaks with side potatoes or one of the fish-based plates. Flanagans is a very good restaurant, a bit expensive if compared to others in the same area, but the quality of food is very high and the service is generally fine.
R. F.
The service here was next to none, I ordered a started that turned out to be not what I had expected. I didn't like it, but there was nothing wrong with the quaility. It was my choice and I was happy to pay for this. however when management learned that I did not eat this, they removed it from the bill. This was unexpected and extremely generous of them.
N. F.
Very nice food staff very nice
S. L.
Perfect location in the middle of Dublin. Plenty of food. Won't go hungry. Not fine dinning. Eat on the run. Staff were lovely..
M. B.
Great food and friendly employees.
N. T.
I was a little worried about this being a tourist trap since it's right off one of the main streets but rest assured that the food is good. They have a huge menu, comfortable seating most importantly, very good food. They have a little of everything so everyone should have options.
A. T.
Very lovely and patient staff. The meal was hot, and at a reasonable price as well. I ate there twice. The €5 breakfast was amazing, and so were the pancakes.
K. B.
This was a nice spot for some warm lunch and to get to out of the rain. Service was good and the food was excellent! The stuffed chicken, stew and brie is a must have. Cheers!
S. A.
The Irish Stew here was outstanding. Absolutely loved the flavors. My wife got the mussels and they brought a huge pot of them. You get your money's worth here.
J. N.
We loved our night out. Great food and drinks. Most importantly, exceptional customer service. Thank you for the professional and friendly service. Sláinte!
P. G.
Great food and ok service, the Irish stew tasted great but would have liked a larger portion, Guinness and drinks were too notch 5 out of 5 for the Guinness! Looking forward to coming again.
D. C.
Over priced not good food.and pints.
J.
The lunch menu goes on until quite late. Very nice food and very reasonable. Two steak dinners off their lunch menu with a glass of wine approx. €42. In the centre of Dublin too.
R. P.
Great food. Great atmosphere.
J. C.
Fantastic burgers would recommend
J. F.
Food was first class. Staff really friendly and professional. Service excellent and premises clean and tidy. Well recommended.
T. C.
The food is excellent very tasty and for only €10 for lunch in Dublin is fantastic where else in Dublin could you get that value service is great and friendly staff
A. D.
Really nice meal. The four us all enjoyed our meals. Seams a bit pricey, but it is in the heart of Dublin. Would go back.
J. s.
The place was clean and tidy. I am a celiac and the waiting staff were extremely happy to help me choose a meal to suit. Food was really nice and well presented.
S. H.
I would give more stars if i could, beautiful place, very clean, well trained staff, food is great. I have been here quite a few times & will go back again & again, i would highly reccomend Flanagans for a bite to eat & for a nice relax while in Dublin.
r. j.
This was a really great find. Brilliant breakfast special. We went back again and again! Great venue and the breakfast Bap was delicious! Friendly staff and a great atmosphere!
M. B.
Been there twice during my 4-day-stay in Dublin. Very tasty Breakfast burger, good prices, Centrally situated! Recommendation!
S. H.
A friendly, warm environment with excellent food and service. We make it a point to enjoy dinner here on every visit to Dublin.
H. B.
Celebrated my birthday over in Dublin and the staff were great. They brought my pud out with candles to my surprise and had the whole place singing happy birthday.
R. G.
Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was excellent! Definitely worth stopping here if you're in the area.
F. F.
Rented the downstairs for a reunion party on July 30th, bar tender was excellent and the food was tasty. On another occasion a bunch of us met for lunch which was also very tasty. The server was great craic!!
M. K.
Excellent service the staff are lovely and the food is plain but delicious
M. v. A.
Very friendly staff, great food, just a very nice. Place to have a wonderful evening. Will certainly come back again!
M. W.
Nice but food, chips in particulat were barely lukewarm, steak was nice, stew meat in large lumps unappetizing meal, dessert had little taste. Staff pleasant & friendly. Will return.
G. H.
It's a great place for having a traditional Irish breakfast. The food is very good and the venue is gorgeous. Prices are reasonable.
D. C.
Had a Hawaiian pizza here( seemed expensive €16•95 ) good pizza but could not finish it way to big. When paying asked manager if you could order half a pizza or a smaller one. No, but understood why I couldn't finish it, seems that's not unusual. This really made price very irritating. Why do they make them so big when a lot of people can't finish them?
L. C.
Food Amazing, very reasonable if you avail of the lunch special, otherwise, it's quite reasonable also as the portions are generous. Staff are lovely. Would definitely recommend it.
S. M. K.
Visited through Musical Pub Crawl and ate a 3 course dinner. Excellent irish traditional food. Left the place extremely satisfied and with a packed belly sack.
K.
Amazing food. Second time here and the service was incredible. Shout out the the waitresses for being so friendly and helpful ☺
V. B.
Used to eat here with my mam, when I was a child on our day out in Dublin, it was so lovely that I could bring my own daughter. Lovely food and fab memories.
M.
Nice food and very nice staff
H.
Great traditional Irish restaurant, food is good and at reasonable price. It may get quite busy so service may sometimes lack a bit but overall they are fast and professionals.
O. C.
Great value and good vibe.
C. E.
The food at Flanagans was superb, everything we ordered was delivered promptly amd piping hot. The desserts were divine.
J. L.
Great place, wonderful food. Very busy...which mean good but not much space to seat.
A. M.
Good choice of menu and the food quality is excellent Friendly and efficient staff. While reservations are not exactly necessary it is helpful. Recommended
o. c.
Me and the kids love the food and staff are great to will all ways eat there when in Dublin city
R. M.
Wonderful tasty lunch. Steak cooked to perfection. So reasonably priced as well
S. W.
Very nice restaurant near my hotel. Visiting from the USA and went here for dinner upon recommendation from a taxi driver. Beef and Guinness here is the best I tried in Ireland.
H. M.
Very nice
S. B.
I am disappointed. Food has no taste. And the prices are up in the sky. Service is good though. And it has food until 10:30pm. Which is very rare in Ireland.
Y. I. L.
Have visited this place traditionaly this summer. Food was gorgeous. Chowder and pasta with seafood..I could not manage both)) it's busy place so be prepared to wait a bit when you food is cooking.
A. D.
Part of the Irish music and dancing tour. Packed room, staff did well. But the room smelt terrible on entry and the brownie was very disappointing. The musicians were brilliant.
o.
Really enjoyed our meals full of flavour, lovely staff and a quick service. Mpst definitely recommend this little restaurant to anyone passing.
B. R.
Don't order the steak, stick to the local meals.
P. P.
Long wait. Messed up order. Hardly NO SALAD, it was just 2 pieces of romaine lettuce. Cabbage wasn't cooked good and tasted bland. The roast ham was ok.
T. D.
Everything our group had was delicious. Steak and chips, guinness pie, wine. Portions were large so be sure to take leftovers if you're struggling to finish!
G. C. R.
Fab food and staff so nice
k. p.
Absolutely excellent restaurant cant praise this place enough wonderfull food, very clean, great service. Will eat there when I return to dublin.
N. B.
Atmosphere good for families. Kids menu good. Quality of our food was satisfactory though nothing gourmet involved. Fairly reasonable prices.

S. T.
Great food and friendly staff. Very reasonably priced as well, we had a 2 course dinner for 4 adults with a couple of drinks each for under €80
J. W.
Food is fantastic , there really is a great atmosphere and ambience about this place. Certaintly inspires one to think about bygone days and is steeped in history .
S. D.
Prone to mixing things up sometimes, bringing out steak cooked wrong or the wrong dish completely but it's not particularly a bit deal. A nice place to eat with affordable prices.
T. R.
Great Cappuccino!!! I had breakfast at Flanagans and really enjoyed the Cappuccino. One of the best in Dublin I would say. Very smooth taste and nice cremy milk.
A. R.
Wonderful food and service. Nice break from shopping, wind and rain. Atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. Will be stopping again when in Dublin. Cheers
H. H.

Staff were nice, friendly and efficient. Prices were slightly expensive I thought for what I ordered. Not a wide range of vegetarian options. Food was ok.

Such a good place to eat even if they don't serve Smithwick's. I had the half roast chicken and my husband had the calzone.

Sadly I would have given four stars because when we finished our deserts the waitress came down and handed our bill to us, we never asked for the bill and we're never asked if we would like tea or coffee to finish, which would be normal practice in a restaurant like Flanagan's, this was around 5.30 on Tuesday May 8 2019 and the restaurant wasn't very busy.
