Reviews of India Today Bar & Grill

Up until this visit to India Today Bar & Grill my favorite Indian restaurant was in Manchester. My favorite platter is the Lamb Korma, and although not presented on the menu, I asked the young waitress if it was possible to substitute for the chicken.
As seen on the picture below, I had the tender fried calamari as an appetizer; the presentation was fabulous with an even better fresh and rich flavor. Along with the Lamb Korma I had egg fried rice and garlic Naan. In my opinion the lamb Korma was exceptional. This was an exquisite rich creamy taste that topped any other I had experienced in the past.
The service was fabulous and personable. I will have to experiment with other parts of the menu.

I would really suggest this restaurant for anyone who loves Indian food. The best Indian food that I ever had from Dublin. Absolutely delicious food. Welcoming and accomodating staff. Good view of the street from inside. Well decorated. A list of wines to select from. Comfortable seating. Parking is not available on site. Use one of the private or public car parks in the city. Not very expensive. Lovely presentation of food. Have a visit. I am sure you won't be disappointed but don't forget your covid vaccination certs.

Had a late lunch here on Father's day. My dad really enjoyed the food. We ordered their crispy squids, seekh kebab and tandoori chicken for starters followed by biryani and king prawn molle for mains, it was absolutely delicious. The toblerone cheesecake was yum but the banoffee could have been slightly better, especially the base was very crumbly.

Different grill experience! Meat is dry but in a good way, its not my go to usually.. dry meat. But this dish tasted good when it was served to me. Chips were good. I was made aware my .eat would be dry & was advised to order a curry! I would advise you try the restaurants specialty curry rather than their grill. I am due another visit very soon!
Excellent service & a very clean place, nice location too for a getaway from city centre noise. It's till in the city but located on a side st next to a radisson Blue. Gorgeous interior too!

That was probably my the best Indian cuisine experience in my life!!! Absolutely poetry - delicious, food beautifully served and amazing staff! I wish I could give them 10 stars!

I was here to celebrate the birthday of my father. It was very nice.

Fantastic. It was modern, cozy, classy and inviting. The staff was attentive, polite, and very kind. The food was absolutely delicious (I had Malai Kofta and my husband had Lamb Saag.) Everything was incredibly fresh and was served piping hot right out of the kitchen. We are so glad we took a chance on this restaurant on our last night in Dublin.

This place is great and has amazing food! Also, the staff are really nice and helpful. Don’t get fooled by the modern decor, they have some really skilled people in the kitchen. Also, it’s 100% empty around 5-6 PM, given that it’s 10 min away from the main centre, so I can enjoy an early dinner in quiet.
LE: I went there again and tried the samosa. Really tasty and well-arranged dish!

They are serving Indian curries and breads, but it seems they try to keep the taste as per the Irish customers. Though, good ambiance and service as well.

The food is delicious really worth it, the service is great, the place is very clean, tide kinda fancy and cosy. The manager is attentive. Highly recommended.

Great place food is beautiful. Love the buffalo wings. Can't wait to go back bring family sit in to a nice curry of the many they do. Great value friendly service 👌well worth looking into. Aw check the burgers and peri peri chips. Man cant big this place up enough. Now I like spicy food and haven't had a vindaloo in a long time. So I asked extra spicy absolutely unbelievable. If you like spicy get down there and let them know extra spicy or not staff very accommodating nice people. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.deffo has to be 5 star

So absolutely fabulous! So wonderful that the resturant is finally open for I side dinning.
Food is delicious, staff amazi g and ambiance first class. The seating arrangements give lots of room between dinners giving me a nice feeling of comfort.
Five stars!

Had a lovely meal there with my wife. Food is excellent and the staff are always very friendly. Very reasonable priced. I will definitely be going back.

This is now my favorite Indian place in Dublin. The presentation was beautiful and the food was also beautifully spiced. I thoroughly enjoyed the lamb vindaloo I ordered. The restaurant has a comfortable atmosphere and friendly service. I will definitely be back and with frequency.

Ordered onion bhaji, filled mushroom and palak paneer for delivery. The onion bhaji and filled mushrooms weren't good but the palak paneer was nice. Wish they added more vegetarian options like biryani and spicier curries.

Most amazing place for dining in Dublin.. Great Ambience.. Wonderful food.. With essence of Indian Spices.. Had a great experience on my stay in Dublin.. Well almost every day the food was from India Today.. Great people.. 100% recommended for a visit

Absolutely delicious food and outstanding customer service! Came back for the 3rd time with some friends and was pleasantly surprised once again with the quality of the food as well as the service! Make sure you get their mango lassi, its the tastiest (no alcohol) drink ever.
I would highly recommend this place to any Indian food lovers out there! Only tip I would give is that if you love your spicy food make sure you tell them, their dishes are not very spicy ( which is ideal for me), so just let them know your preference!
R. S.
Very good, staff where lovey and the food was one of the nicest Indian meals I've ever had. The also do wings and burgers so I'd bring the boys with me the next time too!!

I started eating here recently and I find the food top quality and the service is bang on. I look forward to eating here a lot more as every curry I got was perfect the girl at the front of house is lovely to deal with. 10/10.

Myself and my fiance were walking by this restaurant and decided to drop in for dinner, our expectations were not high and we had no idea of the treat we were about to have! The food and atmosphere were amazing and COVID restrictions were fully in place and followed by the staff.
For starters we had the Mushrooms and the samosa, and while the mushrooms were nice the samosa was the highlight of the occasion, it was delicious and with a variety of sauces to try!
For the main we had Lamb Korma and Lamb Saagwala. In the restaurant you need to order sides (rice and naan) separately to the main so we got garlic naan. It was all delicious with the creamy coco-nutty goodness of the korma and the explosively spicy flavours of the Saagwala.
For drinks i had the Cobra beer which had a nice fruity flavour to it. We cant wait to go back!

I liked the social interactions we had and the overall atmosphere. I believe there is a fine a line between when the staff are friendly and helpful but not overdoing and interrupting all the time. I'd say they managed it well. I liked the attitude and unlike lots of places they weren't serving us in a perfunctory manner. And they had pretty good measures in place for covid. I'd also recommend trying appetizers and drinks before ordering your main. Overall a pleasant experience

The most unauthentic Indian food ever had in Dublin.
K. R.
I would give 6 stars if l could! Amazing place. Very nice decor and atmosphere, service and food is to die for! The best indian l have ever had. Will recommend and definitely will be back. Thank you so much for a lovely evening!
F. M.
Nice new restaurant right in the city centre. The room is pretty big, and the table are not very close to each other as usually happend. It allows some privacy. The service is great, everybody is very kind and nice.
Food is the best Indian one I had so far. Delicious.
I went there thanks to a recommended from my Indian friend. I took 1 starter, 1 main, 1 side, 2 bread. Very very good. Tasty, spicy, but not too hot (i took mild- fairly hot). For someone like me who is not used to hot food , it was perfect.
Highly recommended, I will come over for sure shortly to try other things!

Exquisite location and very delicious food to very high standards 👌

I have tried few Indian restaurants in Dublin. India Today is the best. The staff is very friendly and they provide the best service to you. We really enjoyed our visit there. Real taste of India. Indian food lovers must try this restaurant.

Ordered vegetarian paneer dish. Was absolutely delicious.... and..... the chef made me lemon rice (which was not on the menu) it was absolutely superb! Please add to the menu, people are missing out! Garlic nan was thin n crispy which I love! Staff were friendly and helpful, wine was lovely. Will definitely be back, thank you 🍷

Went for lunch, was really impressed with the presentation and quality of food. Easily one of the best tasting lunches around the city centre area. They gladly accommodated a large group at a relatively short notice. Place was nice and clean. Staff was really energetic and helpful. Only suggestion would be to include 2 naan breads in the lunch instead of 1. I would definitely recommend to try the lamb lunch.
S. N.
The take away tasting menu for two is excellent value. Aside from being delicious, it left me intrigued as to what the rest of the menu has to offer. In other words it did its job and then some. A great venue run by lovely staff, India Today deserves to do well.
S. L.
Had lunch with a group of friends and we were all very impressed with the quality and taste of the food. Very helpful and friendly staff. Price for lunch could be a little more competitive given the number of local alternatives with lunch time deals

Really good Indian food (for Indians as well). Their food is authentic and not unnecessarily sweet like other restaurants.
M. H.
Ordered a palak paneer , onion bhaji, samosas and a king prawn with coconut main (17euro!) King prawn coconut was watery and empty (no veg, thickness, prawns with tails still on. Paneers spice balance was a bit off, starters were fine but for 40 euro delivered :/ 2.5

Excellent food. Compliments to the chef! Food was really warm and very tasty. Would not hesitate in recommending India Today.

The food it was amazing

Good food but expensive for what it was.
The response by the restaurant would infer that I am a cheapskate looking for cheap rubbish food. Far from it. It is about reasonable. Being an Asian who does cook, ( and who learnt from a father who worked as a cook, or should that now read chef?) in the Bombay "Indian" restaurant in Bedford and a mother who was acknowledged as being a far better cook than my dad. But then I suppose I have been fortunate to have grown up in Bedford, a large Asian population with an abundance of good Asian restaurants so I have a good frame if reference.

This place is a gem. My husband and I were visiting for our honeymoon and wanted a break from the loud pubs with heavy food in Temple Bar, so we decided to check out the new, classy-looking Indian place down the road.
The food was delicious - we ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Malai Kofta with naan, rice, and a bottle of Prosecco. Even though we showed up in jeans and t-shirts, we felt like VIPs, with excellent service throughout the evening and the chic atmosphere of a fancy restaurant. When we asked for the check, the owners provided us with a couple extra glasses of Bailey's on ice, served on the house. We left the place stuffed and grinning from ear to ear.
I highly recommend this spot for a date or a business dinner. A great spot to impress company without having to pay extravagant prices.
R. B.
Had one of their Lunch menu with 5 off voucher. Good quantity and taste was authentic as well. You get 3 starters ( 1veg + 2 non veg ) with one choice from 2 curries plus pulao rice and naan(which was fresh and good) and raita (yummm!). The only thing that I would complain about is how none of the starters had any dip with it ( mint chutney for sheek kebab people??) so the starters are incomplete that way. Would love to see more papadoms as well :D
All round good ambience and service. Good for large groups and brings that fine dine experience.Would give 9/10.

Beautiful restaurant, perfect for a date. Food quality is excellent.

Limited beer selection, great wine. And good Indian food.
A. P.
The malai kofta was sweet and there was too much coconut in it. There isn't supposed to be coconut in malai kofta. The palak paneer was good, along with the garlic naan. The service was good, but the food was not.
Z. M.
High quality food and service. Competitive prices. Nice ambiance.

(Translated) We ordered via uber eats. We asked for cutlery because we are at the hotel without cutlery, but they were not placed in the order.
However, it was really delicious, the portions were very generous, everything was well packaged. VERY spicy by the way, but really delicious. Do not hesitate.
