Pretty ambience. Very good staff. The food is very average. The location is good near the grand canal docks. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. The alcohol menu is quite decent. Food menu is decent size. Easy to pick what to eat then getting confused.

If you’re a large group looking for some hearty meals this is a solid spot. 6 of us enjoyed dishes ranging from the pecan pancakes, pizza, to the eggs Benedict. Delicious all around though the Eggs Benedict fell a little flat and service could have been a bit better. Overall great atmosphere and a good time.

Lovely place for brunch, great cocktails, friendly staff, large portions. Food quality could be improved. We had massive pancakes which would benefit from better pancake:topping ratio. We had a pretty waffle, which was dry and flat (but with super delicious chicken on top). Much prefer the dinner menu. 😋

We booked this place for Fri @5pm for a friends birthday. There were 8 of us and we chose outdoor dining. Their outdoor seating area is absolutely exceptional! The weather was windy and cloudy but the heaters kept us warm. The food was AMAZING! I absolutely recommend their sushi and their tempura as the starter. The margherita pizza was absolutely delicious as well. Their pasta and fish of the day were also really yummy. The sides were also great; fries! The corn chips starter with the dips and the focaccia was great! Can’t go wrong with any sort of salmon dish either! Please try their mock tails - we tried all 3 and they were all delicious! At the end they brought out our birthday cake and cutlery and we had a great time. The staff is very nice! This place is phenomenal and absolutely recommended!!!

I have been so excited to try mackenzies for ages now and let me tell you it did not disappoint! The food and service was excellent, we had the pancake platter and it was enormous and so so tasty. Only draw back for me was the bench seats were uncomfortable but im still giving 5 stars as i cant fault anything else. I mean the food just speaks for itself!

I live nearby and have been meaning to try for a while and I was pleasently surprised how good the food was. In my mind I thought it was a trendy place with style but no substance but actually it has good food and drinks and I will definately be back. My salmon was delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. It came with a big bowl of potatoes too so I was very satisfied. My boyfriend said it was the best burger he had in Dublin. My Mai Thai cocktail was also amazing. Great job to all staff and chefs.

Hi I was there tonight. Waitress was very nice & friendly. 3 of us ate there. I ordered the ribs wow what a portion & bbq sauce was very nice. Other adults meal was a burger which he truly enjoyed. I got a kids pizza €10 with no desert. It did say online that it was included but waitress said it wasn't. My little boy didn't eat it as it was too soggy. I mentioned it that to the waitress too but nothing was said. So he ate my chips. So basically for €50 we got a burger meal & ribs. Bit disappointed with my first experience. Not sure if I'll b back. 20.12.21 Theses mistakes have been amended by the manager. We will be back soon Thanks so much. happy customer 😊

Mouth watering food! Absolutely worth it! Can't wait to come back and try their brunch menu. Staff were fabulous. The decor is amazing and the bathrooms were lovely and clean. I really appreciated seeing free sanitary products in the ladies bathroom as that is something essential for women in need of them. 5 stars isn't enough to give for the experience I had there!

In my top 3 of best place to brunch in Dublin. The platters and the chicken waffle are amazing. Also, every time I went, the staff was very friendly and the service was quick. Because the place is so popular, they might give you a heads up that your table is booked for 1h30, don't worry, it's plenty of time, the kitchen really nails the service. Waiting time has never been longer than 30min after ordering (for 2 people). The terrasse is such a great feature of this place when the weather allows it. I recommend sitting outside when you can.

A welcome addition to the Grand Canal area, providing a bit for everyone -pizza and burgers for brunch and dinner and lunch, cocktails and wines and coffee, nice interiors for the 'gram. Also huge capacity, probably likelihood of finding a seat is high. The options for brunch quite varied, taste ok but would like to return for a weekday meal to get a better sense of what's happening.

Lovely spot. It's a little bit pricey for what it is sometimes, but really nice options and was great for outdoor dining too, nice seating out the front. Really tasty food and drinks, especially the honey bubbles. And they also have some nice food options you don't see everywhere, like the crab salad.

A very eclectic and slightly odd menu we were there at lunchtime on a Wednesday and were told they have a brunch menu until 3PM. Staff was pleasant if not a little too distant there was no check back after the meals were delivered to see if everything was ok. The food was good everyone enjoyed their meal.

Perfect place to have brunch and spend the afternoon, my boyfriend surprised me with the reservation yesterday on our little vacation in Dublin and I would go back a thousand times !!!. We had a 5 star meal. I had the foccacia bread to start and the chicken with potatoes, greens and a delicious mushroom sauce and my boyfriend had sushi and a tomatoe salad. The chicken was succulent and so tasty, nearly chargrilled taste, the potatoes were so beautifully presented and the mushroom sauce was the cherry on top. And dessert was delicious, we had the chocolate delice with honeycomb and icecream. It was so rich but not too heavy. ❤️

Good for a group: they have anything varying from sushi to pizza to steak and it’s big enough of a restaurant to house a larger groups. Food-wise our group wasn’t too happy: we tried the burgers, pizza, chicken, salmon.. they were just ok. Only the steak was exceptionally good.

We have eaten here a few times now. We had one bad experience, but the manager was very nice and immediately stepped up and corrected the issue. A friend has been trying to make me go there for q a few months and we finally decided to go and I have to say that is one of the best places that I have been lately (for lunch/brunch). Very modern, stylish and big. The staff is super nice, the food, oh my god the food is amazing, and is not expensive (average Dublin brunch). I will definitely come back to try other dishes.

Went there for brunch and food was delicious (although the 'bit of both' board didn't have all of the toppings as on the menu). The service was not great, the man who showed us our seat was lovely but it went downhill from there. There was a staff member crying in the restaurant while talking to someone who seemed like a manager. There seemed to be some issues between staff as at one point all of the floor staff were crowded around the same table talking. Because of this it took us 15 minutes to get our bill, we had to ask twice and then noone came back with the card machine so I had to go to the door and pay. I understand that issues can arise with staff but there should be somewhere private where they can meet, not having having staff members crying in the restaurant next to customers and customers being neglected while they deal with these issues.

Absolutely gorgeous place. Went with friends and ALLL the food was delicious and the drinks are great. The non alcohol drinks are a must have! The servers and manager are extremely kind and our two servers one male with dark brown hair and the new trainee were so accommodating to us picky girls. We ordered the half and half platter which took about 45 minutes to come. The pancakes were very dry, the French toast was also a bit dry and had way too much cinnamon in it. Pizza is ok but other food quality is really not good, worst croquette and tempura prawn roll I've ever had (I should have thought of that coz it's not specialized in Japanese cuisine, but no excuse for croquette.) The mimosas were excellent using freshly squeezed orange juice. Both of our meals were generously portioned to the point we couldnt finish, which was a shame considering the food was delicious! Great atmosphere but the experience was just OK this time around. They seem to be working with a very small number of staff, which may be COVID related, only two servers and a host for the whole place this morning. Servers were very friendly and in particular one suggested a great substitution for a vegetarian meal. Unfortunately, a few items were forgotten during our meal, and it was difficult to get attention in general. I did feel for them as they were clearly understaffed and trying their best, and they were apologetic for the errors. We ordered basic food options (full irish & an avocado toast w/ poached eggs combo for which I can't remember the menu title), which came in big portions and were of reasonably good quality. Some of the specialty platters being served to other tables looked really great but we didn't try them. I would come back and give those a shot; I feel like it was just an off day for the service and we may have been safe with our food choices.

🌟 👌👏🏽Very very promising place. Grand Canal needed such an atmosphere. We went there for a Sunday brunch and absolutely we will keep going! Food quality and taste is very good. Prices are really fair. Service is friendly. Only improvement point is air conditioning. There is a beautiful open kitchen with a good design however air conditioning could be better. Saloon was smelling fries. Overall, we loved it, and we will turn back again 💝

Before attending a Sunday show in the Bord Gáis Theatre we were looking for somewhere to have a nice and relaxed early dinner. And Mackenzie’s did not disappoint! From the minute we walked in the door the experience was amazing, the staff were wonderful, pleasant and attentive. As it was early and a bit quieter we were offered a choice of where to sit and our server was over with menus in perfect timing. The food at Mackenzie’s is amazing! We ordered a standard margarita pizza, a smoked hickory cheeseburger, cauliflower gratin and crispy crushed potatoes. Every single dish was delicious! Nothing could be faulted, this good was absolutely beautiful and well worth the pricing! We also had some cocktails and mock-tails which were lovely and beautifully prepared too. The staff were brilliant and personable the entire time we were there and the atmosphere in the restaurant was so relaxed and chilled. There were groups out for meals, people in for drinks at the bar, the ambiance was great! I would definitely recommend Mackenzie’s to anyone who was looking for a spot to eat or even grab a quiet drink around Grand Canal Dock!

Went for a family meal here on Sat 17th Oct 2020. Mackenzies was recommended by its sister restaurant Angelinas who were booked out and boy was it a great find. The staff were very friendly and polite and made the whole evening so enjoyable. We were of course sitting outside due to the restrictions in place and were worried that it maybe cold but they had heaters overhead and I actuall had to take off my jacket. The menu has quite a selection and there is something for everybody. I had Tempura Prawns to start with and they were divine the batter was very light and crispy and the prawns were very tasty. I ordered the Cheese and Bacon burger which comes with fries. The flavour from the burger was amazing and one of the nicest burgers I have had in a long time. Others in the party had the pizza and it too was excellent. It is a pity that such a big restaurant inside cannot open due to the restrictions but either way we will be back again. Highly recommend this to everybody, go on get down there and try it yourself .

The staff was nice and friendly, easy booking with opentable. I love the location and the interior could be summarized as luxurious warehouse. I believe for the location and investment they could have done a better job, but it's still very different than most places in town. The menu is quite diverse, it's actually so diverse that it doesn't have a line that follows - they have sushi, pizza, burgers, meat, soups. There are almost no-salads or healthy options. The pizza was very tasty, but nothing extraordinary. Great service, tasty food, although it's a bit overpriced, in my opinion (other places in Dublin that are just as good have lower prices). It's extremely family-friendly - no stairs, room for strollers everywhere, and a diverse menu. Good acoustics - lots of wood means that you can hear people on your table talking, and not just noise. It's a welcome addition to Grand Canal Dock. :)

Food is nice but nothing outstanding, tempura prawn starter was particularly good. Wine menu is worth a mention with good selection of world wines and particularly good French selection. Service is good and overall where the area lacked a strong midrange option Mackensies delivers.
