14 of us went to Hailan on a Saturday night. It was a wonderful time together for all, including my 8-year-old. The food is tasty and in great quantity -- would suggest you to order one portion to share if you are not very hungry. The staff has a rather pleasant charm and is helpful whatever you ask for. Will definitely go back again!

This place is situated near Temple bar, one of the busiest and well known places in Dublin city centre. The food here is great for people who love spicy, mid spicy and tangy flavors. The kimchi is the best here in all of Dublin, and also must try. I had the kimchi tuna soup and it's more than filling for a single person. The servers are sweet and friendly. Hit the place y'all, they are worth it..

I visited this restaurant with my foreigner friends and it was first time to eat Korean food. I worried about that if they like or not but they really enjoyed food and I was so happy. The pork meat is just so so, tastes basic, very oily. The gyoza's were good, considering these are ready made from the supermarket can't go wrong.Miso soup was good, ingredients were on point. The kimchi was just sour and bad. There was free water, lunch special, relatively cheap (9,90€). So you pay for what you get, cheap meal, cheap quality.

Amazing love this place so much. If you were around the area I would definitely recommend coming here for lunch as they have these wonderful Bento boxes on a €10 lunch deal.

While it was very empty when we were here on a Saturday afternoon, the food was quite tasty and the prices were decent. The staff were really kind and helpful. The miso soup was the highlight of the dishes we had. The bibimbap lacked some kimchi and seasoning, but other than that I would recommend this restaurant if you are looking for some decent Korean food.

The food is AMAZING. We have seriously never had such a great Korean-Japanese fusion experience. Worth a visit or two for sure if you are in town! Try the ramen soup, it’s uniquely delicious and the portion sizes are perfect. The staff is very sweet and considerate. I've been to Korea a few times and this is the most authentic Korean food I've had in Ireland; served by Korean staff. The fact that the only other diners present at the time I went were Korean is a great sign of the authenticity. Be warned, Korean food arrives very hot so give it time to cool down. Korean food is also spicier than Indian food at times so make sure to confirm with the waiter if you are unsure. For me, the kimchi hot pot was perfect; but it may blow the head off some.

My family of 5 and I were walking down Dame Street when we found this cute little restaurant. They were busy and we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but it was so worth the wait. My 14 year old son ordered shrimp tempura and chicken teriyaki and he ate all of it. He was famished from all the walking and he loved the food so he sat there and ate every last bit of his food. My daughters ordered some sushi and split a bowl of ramen noodles. The ramen had great flavor and the noodles were light and fresh. My wife and I split a bento box and bi bim bop. I would say that both dishes were delicious and generous portions compared to the price. The restaurant was busy and the tables kept on getting filled. We noticed a lot of locals eating here as well so we figured we chose a good spot to eat. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants good food and friendly service at a reasonable price.

It's sad but when my wife and I travel we tend to get a bit worn out by the local food and always come crawling back to our favorites, which generally, are of some Asian variant, be it Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese, or Korean. So I was shocked to find a Korean restaurant in Ireland!!! So we were skeptical but the reviews were decent. We ordered the kim chi fried rice, bulbogi, and the seafood soup. When we were going through the menu it was half Japanese, which already had me a bit worried. The kim chi fried rice came out first, and was actually my favorite dish. It had the right flavors, even though it was really expensive for what it was. The bulbogi was almost like roast beef and very watery, vs the traditional almost like fajitas style I'm used to. The seafood soup had all the correct components the broth itself just wasn't any good. Overall, what can you expect out of a Korean restaurant in Ireland?

Very nice korean restaurant. The staff was very polite. They serve japanese and korean dishes. We stack with korean menu because it is more spicy. We ordered the korean pork ribs (the waitress warned us that is really spicy but if you are used to it is ok) and korean rice cakes with spicy sauce. The both dishes were very good, tasty, spicy as per our liking. We enjoyed a lot. The prices are very nice. These dishes were between 8 and 10 euros but also the portions are big. Very nice spot.

Truly awesome Korean food It was late and I was searching for a place for a light Asian style snack centrally. Stumbled upon this new place Hai Lan. Straight away I noticed the service was great (even a little quirky) and the atmosphere was buzzing. I WhatsApp'ed a few friends to get a view on the menu and went with the Bibimap meal. Absolutely delicious and with accompaniments it was probably the tastiest and best value Asian meal in 5 years. Great addition to Dublin casual dining scene.

Food was actually good comparative to most places i have ate. However food gets 2 out of 3. Chicken curry was good but not great for being japenese curry. Service was 1/2 but the servers were i think trying...? Here is why i would never come back, i asked for side of cabbage kimchi or kimchi with my meal and than they told me they were out. Ummm how does a korean spot not have kimchi? It is the staple side dish, also in more than half the dishes and i can keep going but i will leave it at that...either lied to for something i wanted to pay for or realy out...both are not acceptable

If I had to recommend a place for Korean food, this would be it. The meat was cooked well, noodles were amazing and the staff were courteous. The ambiance of the place is decent. It's not really an expensive place either, you get great food and it's worth every penny. I have not tried the Japanese cuisines yet so I'll withhold my judgment for those dishes. To conclude, I'd say if you're in Dublin and you're craving Korean food, Hailan Restaurant should be on your list.
