Saw this gem from the bus and knew we had to try it out. Exceeded all our expectations! We had the pre- theater mealdeal (2 cources 21€ or 3 for 24€) the food was delicius! And the atmosphere was great! The staff is Nice and Quick:) we had a great time!

My daughters brought me for afternoon tea, we sat out on the terrace and we were delighted to be served by Alex (I think that's her name) she was so wonderful and made a fuss of us in a lovey way. The food was delicious and although we don't drink tea, we had endless coffee, water or whatever we wanted. Loved the experience, why don't you try it for yourself, you'll love it too!

Personally I would have given 5 stars as I had one of the best pizzas here. I can recommend the blue cheese, Parma, pear pizza. It was delicious. My girlfriend had the salmon and was underwhelmed. So, hence, only 4 stars. Interior is nicely decorated. Service is a bit slow, but friendly. Strangely enough there were only a few guests when we were here

Old-style Georgian hotel in the centre of Dublin near the Garden of Remembrance and the Hugh Lane Gallery. I was looking for somewhere in Dublin 1 for Afternoon Tea as we were meeting up with a friend staying in the city centre and we wanted to stay locally. I happened across 'The Old Music Shop' on a Google search, read the reviews and said "we'll give that a try" - I am happy to say we weren't disappointed! We were served a great selection of delicious cakes and freshly made sandwiches, with lots to share amongst our party. Unlimited tea and coffee included in the price. The staff were extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The outdoor space was relaxed and comfortable and we enjoyed our afternoon catching up.

I visited the Old Music Shop with some friends this week, and will definitely be back again. As well as excellent food, they have created a lovely area for outdoor dining. The service was great and the lady who was serving us was efficient and great fun.

A nice place, yet tough to spot at the first time. They have 55 tables, which is a lot taking into account their limited space. Food is Ok, normal English Breakfast, coffee might be better. Pricing is $$. You could prebook a table, though it was empty at all when we were there. Worth hoing here once.

Can't recommend enough. Fabulous location ajoining the oldest hotel in Dublin (Eamon ans Daniel O'Connell hung out there to do with the easter rising) you can walk about while waiting for your order.. The interior is cozy, seating is comfortable, the food is unquestionabe, staff are friendly and understanding. If you're a tourist or resident, you have to at least drop by for coffee and dessert... which, did I mention, is delicious? Also has a quaint garden/smoking area decked with flower pots, tables, seating, and tea lights.

Food was fine, but service could be better. I was alone(maybe it was the cause but shouldn't be), and after had my order taken and my food ready, nobody came to check or ask me for drinks/coffee/dessert or the bill. A long time after finishing my food I had to go to the bar and ask for coffee and bill. But the place is really well decorated and the cups are really beautiful. After complaining they offered me a coffee on the house which I didn't accept but I became happy with the attitude.

Fabulous day at The Castle Hotel on Frederick Street, we had Afternoon Tea at the hotel in the Old Music Shop and it was amazing, staff are so attentive and friendly, Fionn the hotel owner was wonderful, entertaining us with wonderful stories and the history of the hotel. Highly recommend for Afternoon Tea 5 star treatment! Can’t wait to go back.

I only had espresso on the outside terrace. Staff was friendly, the coffee was a bit pricier compared to neighboring cafés but it was flavorful and delicious. Probably a good quality coffee. I'd pop down again when weather is nice.

We came here for breakfast while on a hen do weekend. You can have 4 items, tea/coffee and toast for €7.50 which was great. And there is so much to choose from- sausages, bacon, white and black pudding, little potatoes, beans, egg - and You can have any combination. They also do 7 items with tea/coffee and toast for €10.00. Really good value and the staff were so nice!

Went here at the end of breakfast time, lady whom I assume is the owner kindly let us know that they didn't have much left for breakfast set. We still went ahead and in the end she charged us only for one breakfast set for two that we had. Had really great start of the day thanks to her!

We chose the Old Music Shop as our last dinner spot before returning home from Ireland. The food was pretty good and the drinks were excellent (especially the Teeling’s Whiskey Sour!) but the surly waitress and slow service really put a damper on our enjoyment. We wanted to order dessert but had to give up, because we couldn’t catch anyone’s attention, and had to go find someone to pay when we left. The floor tilts at enough of an angle that the seating was actually a bit uncomfortable.

We went to this lovely and cosy cafe as a group of 20 for breakfast. The food was yummy, the coffee of good quality and the service super efficient, considerate and friendly. Highly recommend this city center gem, especially for groups. Looking forward to my next visit!

We only had breakfast here, not too expensive but we were also not really impressed. It was also a bit confusing since there was a special buffet only for hotel guests and it was unclear to us how everything worked. Very crowded as well so staff was under pressure and could not really explain it.
