Went here after almost 2 years for a Friday lunch and had a delightful experience. The Manager welcomed us zealously. This place has a nice cozy ambience. Overall service was fantastic, attended by different staffs and all of them were very friendly. The food was delicious, sufficient portion quantity and fairly priced. Non-alcoholic cocktails were nice. Added to my revisit list.

I and my bf visited this place on valentines day. We thought of having starters and drinks. But they demanded us to take the Valentines day menu i.e. a three-course meal and free cocktail. This is the only thing, we do not like about this restaurant. Apart from this, we enjoyed the food and cocktail drinks. Starters were appealing. we ordered Pad Thai noodles and Lemongrass chicken and both are scrumptious. We had Full moon sour, Mango Bang bang, The butterfly effect and Plumdog millionaire and highly recommend these cocktails. Double chocolate brownie is to die to have again. You will not be disappointed.

We had been to their restaurant and the food was really good. Tried their Lemongrass chicken and I have to say, was one of the best ones I've ever had. If you're looking for large portions then wouldn't recommend but if you're looking for quality then definitely, why not. The staff were really good as well.

A quirky outdoor dining experience during these strange times! The staff were very friendly and attentive. I had mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday in the booking and they brought out a surprise dessert for us with candles, a simple generous touch to some very satisfied customers! Food was also delicious. Would highly recommend!

A very nice outdoor dining experience where the terrace is heated with a very cosy christmas atmosphere! The food was delicious: we tried the sausage & scallops and really enjoyed it, and the thai dumplings were good too. Our favorite was the chicken cashew, tasting as if you were in Thailand!

My absolute favourite place to get Thai food! The yellow curry is absolutely phenomenal and the cocktail bar has so many choices. The restaurant itself is gorgeous, adore the rooftop garden!

Asian Fusion food can be hit and miss. This was passable food, nothing too exciting but quite nice. The starters were the best part. It was very warm in the restaurant and when I asked the server if they could turn the heat down, she said it was set to 23C, which is way too warm for most people. We left after the main course to find somewhere cooler. There were 7 of us and we were all too warm!

Enjoyed our lunch at Opium. Great spot in town! We booked through Opentable. Food and cocktails were lovely. We had the Salmon and Chicken Buddha Bowls and they were tasty! Staff were also great and constantly checking if you need anything. Just didn’t appreciate how they were already asking if they can take our plates away when we haven’t finished our meal yet but other than that, everything was perfect!

Visited Opium on Sunday afternoon with fiance and friends for a dinner. Ordered Singapore noodles, chicken cashew, curry with beef, for starters dynamite prawns. To top it all up we had some cocktails. I have to say that never been so satisfied with food and I'm speaking for all of us. Definitely coming back!

Really nice very good cocktails! The prosecco on tap was the nicest on earth! The food wasn't quite there for its price and they left the tails on the prawns in my stir fry which I thought was very bizzare I found out the hard way... All round great spot though staff were 10/10.

Really nice food and good cocktails. Went with a group so had a set menu. Our starters were lovely, good vegetarian options. The mains were really tasty - I had the Singapore noodles, but tried the Duck and Pork and both were delicious. Will definitely go back.

Visited last weekend. Very fast service at the bar with really friendly bartenders. Venue kept tidy thoughout the night. Toilets kept clean and maintained. However I take a star back because I felt the security inside the venue were too rough. I was pushed back really hard just because a security guard wanted to get through the crowd quickly over someone being too drunk, it really wasn't necessary to be THAT rough and a few people also had the same experience and were complaining about it. Other than that it's a well run venue and I had a good experience.

I had dinner in their outdoor area, which is really lovely and part of the restaurant itself. The food and cocktails are absolutely amazing, but even more impressive was the amount of attention and care they put into accommodating my intolerances. They were happy to make sure I could eat most of the dishes in the menu, and were very attentive and let me know specifically what I could have in the shared starters. Amazing experience.

Visited in June 2021 in their outdoor dining section. Really enjoyed eating here, was a lovely outdoor dining experience while being socially distance but felt like we were indoors. Staff were very nice and they all wore masks throughout. Food was delicious and they were happy to adapt what I wanted on the menu to vegan. Prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Hidden up an alleyway, absolute gem of a place. As far as I know the front of this place is an Indian restaurant? Went here with a couple of mates, Oliver Dollar was on that night. Cheap entry, good staff and great drink promotions (considering Dublin is pretty expensive). 2 rooms and a VIP upstairs with some comfy couches to sit on. Quality venue for a rave, highly recommended 🎵

Great and trendy place that is perfect for delicious food! Friends pointed it out to us while we were visiting Dublin and every dish was on point. Rendang curry was smooth and full of flavour, pork belly was decadent, prawn chips crunchy and the wine list was excellent. Food came out all at once, so be mindful if you are ordering lots and in a big group as you’ll need to play some plate Tetris in the table. Couldn’t recommend it highly enough!

Opium is both a restaurant and a cocktail bar. I’ve only been there one for Thai food and it did not disappoint. Like most places in Dublin it can be on the expensive side, but the food is definitely worth the price. Last time I went was for a work event where we took over the private patio pub garden. It was fantastic!

Was here on Friday night with a couple of friends. The fact they take your temperature before you even walked in made me feel relaxed being there. Opium is such a wonderful place. There is a waitress there who really is superb. I think her name is Ida? She has been there a long time and seems to really work hard and still able to put a smile on her face. We just love the ambience. There was a few people who called in sick but the host and bar staff and the waitress WORKED EFFORTLESSLY as a team. Really delicious and beautifully presented food. The cocktails are top notch and the staff are very accomodating and welcoming. Really enjoyed it any time I've been here. Very good for dietary requirements (aside from nuts as these are used in a lot of dishes so the kitchen will obviously have them present) perfect place for a nice meal with friends or even to celebrate an occasion as the décor and atmosphere are ideal.

Have eaten here twice. It's fine but not amazing. I most recently had duck and fried rice but if wasn't hugely flavourful. The last time I was there it was a Monday at lunch and the power went. We ate our lunch in near pitch blackness. The staff were polite but I don't think we should have had to pay considering there were only a few couples there and we couldn't see our food.

I love coming back and when I cannot come back for bit to long I let them deliver. I have never regretted anything that I had here, but my absolute favorite is their Lamb Massaman, the best one I’ve ever had. Apart from great food I always enjoy the ambiance here, not only for dinner but also drinks. Staff is very friendly but professional at the same time. Definitely one of my favorite places in Dublin.

Have said this, main courses were beautiful. Everyone enjoyed their mains and the overall price wasn't too bad. We moved then to the bar on the first floor where the disco is. After a long day of touring, my wife was craving Vietnamese food. I found that this place was open late so we trekked on over. When we got to the door it seemed like a club with bouncers and all. We were in shorts and tshirts since we had just came from a day of hiking. Luckily, they still let us in to dine. The vibe is very bar/club like, so we were skeptical about the quality of the food. After looking over the menu we realized it was more of a Vietnamese/Thai fusion restaurant. We ordered the prawn tom yum, calamari, and prawn drunken noodles. Everything came out fairly quickly. The tom yum was very flavorful and packed with lots of prawns. The calamari was seasoned and fried perfectly. Finally, the drunken noodles was a huge serving sized and provided a solid kick of spice. I was shocked at the quality of the food here.

Opium is a alright spot. I went with a corporate group. This resulted in shared starters and desserts, with a choice of three mains. The food itself was nice enough with the dessert section particularly shining through. Cocktails are great and they're on the typical price range in Dublin. The Zombie and Take Away being standouts amongst it's cocktails. The botanical garden section is lovely, giving off tropical vibes living up to its namesake and carrying off the theme.

Lovely place to celebrate your special day or just ordinary day. Meals in the restaurant or in the garden is great, then after you can go up for another drink in the top terrace with smoking area, then go for disco or just chillin in the bar, it's one place for everything you need to enjoy your day to evening with family or friends.

Great food, non-existent service despite there only being 3 other tables. The kitchen very obviously prioritises take-away/delivery orders. When I had still not eaten despite it being almost an hour after ordering I had to get up and walk over to the kitchen to get the attention of the waiting staff to enquire about our food. If came about ten minutes later with no apology for the wait. When I said that it had been very frustrating to wait so long for food while watching so many bags leave the kitchen, the manager just said 'yeah I know' and walked off. Wouldn't ever eat here again, would probably get takeaway food from here.

What a bar! Wish there were more like this in London. Definitely worth the entry price of 10 euros. The place is split up into different sections, the first a quiet bar, then although through you reach the main bar. The side has seating and group gatherings. Went to see We Are Scientists here, who were outstanding. The venue itself is decent, but could be great. Only niggles were the bar staff who insisted on forcing their way through the crowd to try and pick up plastic glasses during the gig (distracting, and they missed most of them anyway), and the confusion over which exit to use at the end, with the bouncers giving contradictory advice. If they get a little more slick dealing with large groups of people, this could be a really special wee venue.

Wow What does that wow mean? Lots of things. The interior designer did a fantastic wow job. But some of the things are wow, like wow, what are you thinking? Some of the staff were obviously hired to have an attitude, while others have a shining personality. One of the attitude ones had me in disbelief while sitting at the bar one night. Which reminds me, the mixed drinks were not great but still pricey... But served with an attitude to boot? Wow. Some of the menu items taste like a madman is concocting them as a science experiment back in the laboratory, with the desserts being particularly Frankensteinish. An example was the end of one of our experiences here that featured some kind of banana abomination puddle-on-a-plate thing. I can't even believe anyone let it out of the kitchen. At least it was expensive. It all goes together in a surreal way. I cannot possibly imagine savvy and aged restauranteurs running any place this way but maybe, who knows? Maybe it was a bumpy stretch for them or maybe (hopefully not) this is a trend.
