Reviews of Pinocchio Italian Restaurant - Temple Bar
Absolutely amazing and well worth the wait. The guy that answered the the phone was so kind and charismatic. He was very accommodating despite the fact we had to rearrange our visit. Food and service were amazing. Lovely restaurant with decent portions. Thank you so much. We loved it. Can't wait to come back.
Disappointed with my meal, I had chosen chicken with vegetables but I never saw the color of the vegetables. the chicken was spongy but the 6 fries that came with it were good. I wanted to have a dessert to end on a good note, but the chocolate cake had no cake, it was a kind of chocolate hazelnut cream, without consistency, I could not eat it. The service was very long.
The service is very good, staff attentive, good food. The only thing was, the amount of food is small. Big plate less food.
Food was the best Italian food I’ve had in a long time. Almost felt like I was in Italy. I had carbonara and it was made the authentic Italian way which is hard to find. All of our meals were delicious and the staff were excellent. Would highly recommend this lovely restaurant.
Food is amazing. I never tried this kind of Italian delicious food in Ireland . Best and cozy place. Staff so nice thanks
Went here on a Sunday for lunch.
We ordered bruschetta for starters and the pesto spaghetti and diavolo pizza for mains.
The bruschetta was amazing - the tomatoes were ripe and the bread soft on the inside with a crunchy crust. It was a bit messy but delicious.
For the pesto we added chicken and it was decent. The chicken didn’t really add much to it but the pesto itself was great.
As for the pizza - it was really saucy and the perfect amount of spice. The crust was also done well and really good.
Service was good - really friendly waiter. She forgot our app at first but was very nice about it and offered us limoncellos to make up for it.
For drinks we ordered Guinness and we probably should have stuck to wine - was just a craving !
The place itself is very cool and there's a great vibe given off by the sound of the luas passing overhead every ten mins. The food is AMAZING! Go for the meatballs and potato, you'll love it. On the negative side, the staff are overwhelmed and a little on the slow side. Dishes didn't arrive together and people were finished their desserts before others git theirs. It would be great if management assigned additional part timers at busy times. Definitely worth a visit, though, and it's good value. Will be making this a regular jaunt.
The food is really outstanding. The waiters are very professional and kind. I think the waiters are Italian, so they have this relaxed approach and you feel genuinly welcome and well treated. Everything was more than delicious and oh the pizza was the best I have ever eaten.
When in Dublin we highly recommend you go to this restaurant for the finest Italian food. Myself my wife and kids really enjoyed our visit and the staff couldn't have been more friendly. Thankyou
Always a great option for Italian food in the heart of the city.
Carbonara pasta is the best.
Try also the Arancini as a starter and a glass of Chianti.
Lovely and friendly staff as well.
Highly recommended.
Pinocchio Italian Restaurant is a restaurant we come back to again and again. The staff are great, the food and drinks are fabulous. The food is authentic Italian pastas and pizzas. You will not be disappointed if you try Pinocchio, great for two people and great for groups & in the heart of Temple bar. We came today for theatre pre dinner & it was wonderful❤️
I came here to get a quick bite before theatre, lovely staff and good service but my pasta was too Al dente for my taste so that spoiled the dish for me.
We went to Dublinfor a few days from Belfast and found this delicious Italian restaurant...beautiful pasta, pizza and great service! Will definitely go back when visiting again!
Great Italian cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.
Finally I found the real Italian restaurant in Dublin!!
Food is delicious and the atmosphere too.
The staff is young, warm and qualified.
If you are in Dublin and want to taste Italian dishes go there!!!!
Fab place, dinner exceeded our expectations, portions were huge and tasteful. Absolutely recommended!
Last Saturday I went to the cookery class in Pinocchio restaurant, which is by the way very nice and cozy. We prepared and cooked a "torta della nonna", a "treccia" and "tagliatelle alla chitarra". Giuseppe is so funny! He first showed us how to prepare everything and then it was our turn. At the end we also tasted our food..it was delicious! It was a really entertaining experience and nice to share with other people. Definitely to repeat!
Fantastic food from people who are really passionate, friendly, and love what they do.
A 11 out of 10. Great great great fantastic focaccia, pizza and pasta and we got a doggybag for every bite we couldn't take anymore, so tomorrow we will enjoy the food again. Try the Pinocchio head in the corner for some great pictures.
Food was amazing! We had two pizzas but my fav dish was ravioli! Aaaaamaaazing! I wish to live in Dublin to have it more often. Really delicious, best ravioli which I ever had. The gentelman who served us was very nice and polite. Thank you for everything! We will be back soon for sure :)
Delicious food but we waited 40 minutes for it
Visited yesterday with a friend, i enjoyed a Spaghetti allo Scoglio , and my friend a penne with Nokia and mushrooms he also tought it was lovely, service was friendly and polite, will be back for more .
Fantastic friendly service and authentic food, great pasta and pizza.
Food was delicious. I had spaghetti carbonara and my friend mushroom chicken. Both tasted amazing.
OK restaurant, the pizzas look nice, but I was having a Christmas menu, so, from the available dishes, I went with the risotto, it was to buttery and oily, the sausages were nice... The starter, meatballs with parmeggiano and rocket were soft and tasty, but the dessert was again a downside, the tiramissu wasn't consistent all along and it wasn't memorable. An OK meal... Too pricey for what you get.
Good food, great staffs, a little pricey but is due privileged location.
It was a lovely time! The food was delicious, I'll definitely be back.
Excellent service, detail focused waitress, lovely food, absolutely tasty Italian wine and at a very resonable price! Highly recommended
Ordered from deliveroo twice now. The seafood spaghetti is really good. They uses fresh King size prawns with lots lots mussels and clams and squid, superb big portions, i can eat it for 2 to 3 meals. Had 4 cheese pizza too, like it too. Will definitely order again
extremely friendly, accommodating staff. We got takeaway pints and had such a great experience that we can't wait to return when indoor dining is an option.
My friend and I had the seafood spaghetti, is really tasty. They use fresh King size prawns with lots lots mussels and clams and squid, very generous portions. Will definitely go again.
Staff are very friendly.
Nice food but nothing special. Quality of the meat both in the pasta carbonara and on the pizza was below standard. Service was good but when paying: table of 7, but wouldn't let us split bill more than twice. which is pretty annoying these days when out with work friends so we probably won't be back.
A hidden gem.
I've been here over a dozen times. I have tried their pizza, calzones and a few pasta dishes. I've loved everything I've tried and I've enjoyed their unique wine selection, some real great finds here.
They run a cooking class on some days - I'm not sure how it works, but at times when you're dining they are teaching groups to make pasta in the centre of the restaurant. It adds to the atmosphere, but it can be a bit noisy if you want to have a quiet conversation.
Positives - Great place for Italian food. I had a starter and a main, and both were good. The bread served before that was also fresh and hot! Very friendly waiting staff, who helped me choose the perfect dish for me. They also served free extra cheese add-on on my pasta!! I observed that they have a large collection of wine, but did not get a chance to try any.
Negatives - I thought the food portions were a bit small for the price. Also, the pasta went cold very quickly, so my suggestion would be to serve it in a 'warm' plate.
This is a great place. I would definitely see myself come back here.
Got this Italian as a takeaway and it was amazing, everything was cooked perfectly. We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back to sit in when we can. Would definitely recommend.
Staff were so friendly too.
Amazing. First night in Dublin and we had the signature pizza, lasagna, gnocchi, apple strudel, chocolate ricotta pie... wow! All homemade and fresh. I can't even compare this to anything I have ever had in the states, nor in my limited time in Italy, South France or London. Service was also excellent. The atmosphere is clean, cozy and rich. Just loved it!
So I got into Dublin today. I didn’t want to go to one if the frat party pubs and needed food. Dropped into this place not expecting much. But the service was great. The wine was very nice. And the food was surprisingly good. It seems like this is a cooking school doubling as a restaurant. Check it out!
They have maybe the most tasty pasta carbonara that I've tried outside of Italy!!
Lovely place, the food is always amazing and so tasty. My favourite is the truffle ravioli :D and the garlic bread is wonderful too.
The staff are super friendly too :)
Bit of a weird atmosphere... there was a cooking class on in one half of the restaurant and it was extremely loud which wasn't great. However the food was really good and for 2 courses only €20, which was really good especially for the location! Would recommend the arancini and lasagne! Friendly staff too. Would be a 5 star rating the atmosphere was better!
Visited on Friday. As usual food delicious and lovely staff.
Beautiful food. Excellent Calzone!!! Very good service. Highly recommended.
Saw great reviews of this place on yelp, so I thought I should try it. But I did not find the food great or even okay. I ordered the margherita pizza with extra toppings of onion and peppers. Probably the pizza was ready, so they added onions and peppers on the top, baked a little and presented it. Further each topping was charged at 1.50 euros which is wayyy tooooo expensive. My husband ordered the lasagna which he thought wasn’t great either.
Amazing aperol spritz and lovely staff. Hopefully I will go soon for some dining and aperols!
Nice place!
Little bit expensive.
Fantastic staff!
This is a little gem of a place,, we went Friday night food was excellent especially the calzone we will be definitely back plus the service was brilliant the waitresses were so lovely and accommidating bonus we were able to stay till near closing time
5.+ stars from me xx
I went before some months in this restaurant, the food was actually nice..the only I had to say is that the pasta was for me more soft that should was. It wasn't altente...nice place and tasty food
Best take away in Dublin! Ordered 2 pizzas and 2 pasta .cannot wait for this gem of a restaurant to open ! recommended 💯
Amazing place with unique atmosphere and great host of local Italian community. If you want to taste incredible Italian food, you should put this restaurant on your culinary map. Here you can learn as well, how to bake a proper pizza and other Italian products!
We wandered into this restaurant by accident and were pleasantly surprised. The pasta is all freshly made in house and they also do pasta making classes during the day. I got the squid ink lobster pasta, which included an entire lobster and was incredibly good value. Would highly recommend if you're craving a good carb load.
Had the Ravioli and the cheesecake for dessert. Both were absolutely amazing, literally stopped talking to my partner while we ate (she didn't mind, she was engrossed in her own meal!). I don't remember the last time I ate such a nice meal.
Really nice homemade pasta, nice selection of wine. Really enjoyed the arincini starter. Carbonara as part of the early bird menu was a bit small but it was really tasty. The dessert was really good, tarta de Nona, delicious. Would recommend.
Brilliant pizzas, lasagne and desserts, staff is very friendly and helpful - while we were spying on some hints and tricks from the cooking school while we were eating. Definitely a 5 star recommendation, this restaurant rocks! 😊
Nice food, lovely restaurant.
The restaurant is so cozy , the food "mamma mia" is flawless , staffs are amazing with a great customer service!!! 🇮🇹
A little gem! The pizzas are authentic Italian slices of heaven. You won't be disappointed by the food but there were only two other tables full and it took around 40mins for our food to arrive. I'd still go back though as the food is truly great.
Went there with friends for dinner. I ordered bufala pizza with the extra topping of italian sausage. Pizza looked quite sad - pool of tomato sauce with some tired basil leaves. Dough went all soggy, however crust was delicious. Ate it all anyway as was very hungry. Other pizzas looked well, so probably I just made a wrong choice:) Ice cream - nothing special just your average ice cream from the supermarket. Homemade tiramisu was delicious! as was black coffee! Probably the best in town. Friendly atmosphere, nice service.
Highly recommend Pinocchio for group cooking class. We were a group of 30 and noone felt left out or under pressure to rush things through. Guiseppe is great cook and fantastic entertainer. They totally exceeded our expectations. Looking forward to next visit.
Nice wee Italian restaurant. Friendly staff and good food. We had a mix of pasta and pizza. Only criticism was that the house wine was French and not Italian. Not the end of the world, but Italian would have been more appropriate.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get any bread (the other guests did) and no water (we ordered it). Pasta was delicious, but I would’ve ordered something else if the staff would’ve advised me of the specials which I didn’t see at the beginning. The tiramisu is good!
Excellent vegetarian carbonara. The staff is very friendly.
What a pleasure to eat in a good restaurant, where the dishes are hearty and good! I thank the entire team of the restaurant for being polite and talented in their field, I recommend you this great restaurant !!
Lovely good with great service.
Popped in for an a early dinner and a drink... pitza looked great but we opted for a dish or two...was not disappointed... Ps look out for your Dublin pass 2 for 1 meals.
We didn't realise until we got back to our hotel that we could have got a deal on food.
However great food and value.
Was late and most Irish restaurants were closing when we found this place. So glad we did, atmosphere, service and especially the food were fantastic. If i hadn't felt the need to try some traditional Irish dishes i would have eaten here more often! I had the Pollo ai Funghi...absolutely delicious!
As an Italian, I m always very suspicious about Italian restaurants abroad, but this one was amazing!! The atmosphere was nice and calm and the food was delicious! I strongly reccommend that you try their "zuppetta di cozze" and their "spaghetti allo scoglio"!
I went there last January with some friends during the cookery class. Firstly a man showed us how to make pasta and then we cooked italian typical lunch with mozzarella and tomatoes. The experience was nice, wine as well
Went here with a large group of people for a team event. We got to make our own home made pasta and desserts. It was a great experience and the staff were amazing craic. Would really recommend it.
Lovely food we came here with our 7 year old and we all loved the food it was so filling we had to bring it home to finish. It was a bit crowded but great atmosphere we'll definitely be back.
Lovely fish at Pinocchio Ranelagh :) I went there for a dinner with my colleagues and we absolutely wanted to try fish in Dublin. I was smitten by one of the handmade special dishes of the day: crab meat with avocado mayonnaise and grappa mousse !! yummy!! I would definitely advice this place.
A hidden gem in Dublin, it is one of the best pizzas in Ireland and a must if your in the area, great menu selection and they cater for all, I had a really good time here and we were well looked after
One of the best pizzas in Dublin. Staff are always friendly. This place really is a hidden gem
Delicious food and big portion sizes for the price! Would highly recommend the carbonara and the bruschetta
Great service. The waitresses were very kind and attentive. Food was served promptly and the steak was pretty much the best I've ever had.
Excellent food, and lovely staff. Marking it down one start because tables are far to close together - obviously the restaurant owner wants as many covers as possible, but it feels too cramped.
My favourite spot in Dublin. The tastiest, freshest pasta I've ever had and the staff are always so lovely and helpful!
Dont miss out on what has surely to be the best Italian restaurant in Dublin! Spacioisly laid out on Ireland’s most famous street for music and socialising, Temple Bar. Pinocchio has a relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and the highest quality Italian food on offer in Dublin. Simply unmissable!
Food was extremely delicious, staff were kind and helpful. Although it took awhile before our food arrived. The chairs were slightly uncomfortable. The table I was sitting at was slightly cramped. But the food delicious.
Lovely Italian food - authentic and homemade!! The service was fast and excellent. Gluten free options readily available
Dined in Pinocchio's this evening with my sister & niece. The food was amazing, I had the most delicious pizza, the best I've ever tasted!
Compliments to the chef.
Love this Italian restaurant. Relaxed ambiance, delicious food and fantastic selection of wines.
Pizza was good and so was the service, pizza prices slightly cheaper than normal. Desserts and wine though was a bit expensive
Overall a nice choice
Amazing Italian food. Excellent service and delicious food. Balance between quality and quantity and price. The plates normally are big. Totally recommended.
Lasagna was AWESOME!!! Great casual family friendly dining. We loved it and if your looking for Italian food in Dublin go there.
Delicious pizza and incredibly helpful staff.
Service was phenomenal, and the portion sizes are great in terms of bang for your buck. That being said, the food was good but not great. I would give 4.5 stars if possible.
The staff is really nice and the food is authentic traditional italian food, handmade fresh pasta is amazing. My favorite restaurant in Dublin.
Food was nice. Would be nicer if was served on a hot plate. Pasta goes cold pretty quick and even quicker when on a cold plate. Nice atmosphere.
Lovely setting. Good pizza crust, but I don't like fennel...and the pizza sausage had loads. The wine selection was good.
Lovely food, excellent service
We came here for a team-bonding event and had a brilliant time! 45 people who loved it :) Staff were delightful, and the food was delicious, couldn't recommend it highly enough!
Pinocchio is the best italian restaurant in Dublin, if you want to eat like you eat in Italy you have to go there! We ordered 4 formaggi pizza, spaghetti allo scoglio and torta della nonna as dessert, so happy to eat like in my country😍
We had a long walk were exhausted and thought a takeaway would suit us better after sitting down, the host was helpful and the food was wonderfully delicious. Perfection.
Really, reallt great food. Very nice staff and their cookery classes are fantastic fun! Highly recommended.
Beautiful italian traditional music playing as you enter the restraunt, polite sharp service , pizza is classical and delivers satisfaction , i ordered an irish coffee and it was as good as it gets , hats of to the chef as my wifes favorite pizza is the sea food which is of the menu but they still made happen ... great spot , very reasonable prices for heart of the city aswell , a DELIGHT...
Food is ok.
Not recommended for big groups.
They do not allow you to split bills neither to pay with different cards.
At least, they were friendly.
The food was enjoyable I had lasagna which came out in a hot stone bowl. Service was slow and there was only one other table at the time.
My experience at school of cooking in Pinocchio was really fun...I learned how to make pizza and enjoyed good wine with beautiful People...I hope to come back there soon
We had an office Christmas party here and loved the place! Would recommend to everyone. Great place to gather with friends and family. Delicious food, cosy atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff.
Very decent Italian food, with a great early bird special before 1830. Very nice wine selection as well!
We came here with my colleagues after a long working day, it was so much fun! I really enjoyed to prepare our own pizzas!
The food was good but not everything on the menu was available. That could have been down to the fact it was New Year's Day.
Food was lovely, but portion sizes were very large. It was also very loud, such that I could barely hear the person sitting opposite me.
Loved this place, the staff were really friendly, food was lovely especially the seafood ravioli and they have a massive Pinocchio head you can wear....what's not to like.
The focaccia and the special pizza was really tasty, more than enough for a couple, you can even 'takeaway' if you can't finish
Friendly staff and lovely food, good value traditional Italian cuisine.
Delicious food and brilliant service 👍
Really good Italian food, the early bird menu is great value
Very kind staff, tasty pizza, good wine, nice atmosphere... But the food of a friend was served cold..
Great little Italian place with a great wine selection. The manager was really friendly and helpful as well!
Lovely atmosphere, good food and wine and not expensive. Have only starters, pizza and pasta.
I love Pinocchio Restaurant!!!I've been there for many times, the food is delicious and the wine is excellent. The best italian food in Dublin!!I recommend it!!
This was a fantastic surprise in Dublin. My beef spaghetti was delicious and the cheesecake was light and fluffy. Just wonderful!
Did a cooking class there with work. The staff is lovely and very funny. The pasta was ok
Amazing, authentic, fresh food and friendly staff! A real gem of a restaurant, can’t wait to go back!
The cooking class is great fun
The night itself was nice, the food is good but nothing to write home about (although the 4 cheese pizza was very good), sadly it would seem that the fried calamari and shrimp we got for a starter on this occasion (first time eating here) gave me and my wife a mild case of food poisoning which ruined the rest of our evening, here's hoping that was a one-time thing!
Great food and great service
Great food, kindly service
Went here for a pizza making class. Great experience. Learned how to make a couple of pizzas that I have never seen before.
Last week I went to Pinocchio restaurant with my girlfriend before partying in Temple Bar.
We really enjoyed a lot of aperol Spritz !
Huge and delicious pizza! Polite and professional staff with fast service. Strongly recommended!
Food was grand, nothing spectacular. Tables are rammed really close together. Not a restaurant I'd want to linger in...
Food was tasty, generous portions, staff were friendly and it was reasonably priced.
The staffs are very friendly, is not the best Italian restaurant in Dublin but the food was OK and price was good.
I'm Italian and I'm already a good chef but the experience was great, I've been there with my girlfriend and we meet a very good staff
