B. G.What an amazing experience. Absolutely lovely restaurant. Service was 10/10 food was 10/10. From the second we walked in Luca and his staff were amazing to when we left. An absolute gent. We will defo be back. One of the nicest restaurants in Dublin would recommend to anyone who likes great food with a great atmosphere.
M. B.We had a nice dinner. The staff was very gentle and helpful but no one was wearing the face mask properly. The oysters as starter were super salty and watery. I don’t know why but I expected them to be cooked but they were rough and cold. The mains we ordered seemed small portions but were filling anyway. They gave us a basket with slices of bread that reminded us to the super fresh bread we ate in Paris. The music was lovely and we had Ferrero as dessert which I recommend if you are a sweet lover. Overall ok but I would increase the portions and mind the covid measurements.
V.My partner and I wanted to head in to town from South Dublin but hadn't booked anywhere. I gravitate toward Italian so did a quick check on Open Table and booked Rosa Madre having never been before and my partner and I loved it! The food and wine were great and reasonable for that part of Dublin. We were greeted by a really friendly guy in a cool black suit with some super out there trainers but he looked the business.. so Italian and stylish! Same for the rest of the staff though, really smart. We were seated upstairs and our waitress, who may well have been head, was excellent and in between giving us very attentive service was guiding and training a couple of newbies and did it so well without making them feel like the newbies. She fillited the sea bass in front of us but again it was so well done it just added to the great experience. Would happily recommend. We sat next to a family birthday and a lovely fuss was made with the birthday cake so I'd imagine this place would be great for a special occasion.

C.There's a lot good about this restaurant (food was good,. presentation was good, staff were good, buzz always good) but nothing excelled (except maybe the wine list) and loses star thanks to breathtaking prices. Just not worth it, not even close, for the asking prices. Judging by the two large groups of loudly chortling back slapping middle-aged businessmen boasting about how much they'd spent on wine (and it was a wow number) I guess most people I know aren't the targeted audience.

d. S.Amazing experience! The best tartares I have ever tried, I really recommend tuna and bream tartare. Delicious lobster with homemade spaghetti and sea bass in salt crust. We also had Rocher dessert and a delicious Italian wine.
Staff really nice and constantly care of the customers. Big shout out to the kitchen staff and chef for the incredible experience gifted us.

b.Best Italian I ever visited. And the Italian kitchen is my favorite. The ravioli was the best I have ever had too. Also loved the fact you could order a Peroni, which is even here (belgium) hard to get.

N. A.This is a nice little Italian restaurant in the middle of an unassuming side street in Temple Bar. It specializes in fish dishes - there's a little fish counter at the entrance where you can choose which fish you would like to be served.
I had two good antipasti - a Sea Bass carpaccio and an Octopus salad - and two amazing first course - tonnarelli with Astice and a seafood risotto. Portions were a little tight, but preparations and fish quality were rather high.
For dessert we had a Tiramisù and a Millefoglie - while the Tiramisù was good, two of the three Millefoglie pastry sheets was unmistakably stale.
The bill was in line with what other fish restaurant would charge (think Catch 22 or Matt the Thresher), with better recipes and preparations.
I'll definitely go back to try a main of fish, though I'm not sure I'll get the Millefoglie again.

The seafood pasta dish was imply sublime and the touch of truffles really took me straight to my previous holidays in Tuscany. The lobster, fresh and generous in portion, was also a highlight. Their wine last was perfectly selected to accompany every dish we had and the staff, especially the sommelier, were a delight. I wish I took more photos but I was too busy enjoying the meal.

If you want the best fish you've ever had in your life, try the salt encrusted sea bass. It's been 5 days since I went and my mouth still waters at the thought. Stop considering and start reserving. You won't regret it!

X. C.Fresh seafood, I forgot the dish name I ordered, it’s really the first time I feel a tuna steak is as delicious as a premium beef steak! cooked to the perfect, Dublin bay prawn was sweet, gambras(italian prawn) was rich in taste.

T. P.I took my wife here for her birthday dinner. It turned out to be the best restaurant we've ever visited in Dublin. Attentive service, exceptional and delicious meals, great selection of wines. I recommend to try any of the raw fish starters, but we were equally impressed by the mains and the desserts. My wife said the tiramisu was the best she's ever had. I can only talk in superlatives about this place. It was the most expensive restaurant I've been to but it was totally worth it.

There were six of us and everything we ordered was superb, and it was well set up for sharing food with the rest of the table. The best way to eat in my opinion! Great wine list. Room upstairs is so cosy, and conversation friendly with all the sound absorbing furnishings. Lovely staff and really great food.

K. G.Probably one of the best restaurants in Dublin for seafood. The raw fish mix platter is a great option to share. We had as a main sea bass baked in salt crust, really tasty and tender. You also need to try the desert, they have a speciality where they empty some fruits and fill them with ice-cream.

I recommend the truffle pastas or the fish (in its salt crust) and cannolo for the dessert.

I ordered the Paccheri con Pescatrice and I cannot think how it could have been better prepared. The monkfish was fresh, the pasta was cooked to perfection, and the reduction was perfectly flavored. I only wish I could find a way of duplicating the dish at home.

We had the baby octopus in tomato sauce (2.5/5) and Dublin bay prawns (5/5 - but quite pricy) as a starter. As a main, we had the seafood risotto (5/5) and Tonnarelli with lobster (5/5) - both simple meals, but really well prepared with high quality produce. Would definitely come back!
P. F.Been to Rosa Madre several times. Each time for a large family gathering. I'm never disappointed. Traveling all the way from Canada. it is my favorite restaurant any where in the world. I always recommend Rosa Madre to anyone I know who is traveling to Dublin.
E. D.Quality food and service. It is an expensive place so make sure you either check the prices before coming in or that you are not on a budget. When you walk in, to the right, you can see the fresh fish. The freshly grilled fish is presented to you on a plate and then deboned beside your table.

We had the meatballs (meh); spaghetti with clams (the noodles were about four minutes away from al dente = very undercooked, there was no garlic taste, no sauce/it was very dry, but the clams were good); the salt baked fish (sea bass and this was delicious!), a rocket salad (delicious!), and sautéed spinach (fine).
Also, we sat upstairs, two tables from the restroom, and you could smell everything each time someone came out of the restroom. Not very appetizing.

P. U.As a foodie and Italian this place brought me back home. Great menu , very authentic and classy , great wine list new menu was out . Anything with fish is delicious but my top 2 were the burrata starter and the paccheri with nduja and guanciale + pecorino a winner. Not cheap especially wine it's hard to find any bottle of wine below 30 Euro. Service was good but keep in mind food comes out a little slower as it is cooked fresh so if you go make sure you enjoy it with friends or partner. Take your time Italian style .

R.We had dinner tonight in Rosa Madre and it really was special, firstly opentable cancelled our reservation as it over booked but the owner was very accommodating and even gave us 2 glasses of prosecco for the inconvenience, which was unexpected but a warm surprise. All the food was amazing, we got an octopus salad and oysters followed by a monkfish for my partner and a 1kg poached lobster for myself with a few sides. Everything is delicious. I love the fresh fish and lobster on Display and the waiters drop your fresh fish order to the kitchen pass window. It was my partners first Mother’s Day and it was special. Thanks to all the waiters,staff,chefs and the owner.

K.cant fault the food ... one of the best tastung meals i have had.. but the service needs work was with a group if 17 and they did not have a place suitable for all if us. i was sitting at the end of a bench against a rail. they store wine on the wall above where guests are eating and interrupt you to get the wine... they were slow to serve 20 mins for some water and another 20 min before offering a drink...
P. Q.If you like fish put this place on your list, our host introduced first his finds in the fish market and how he was prepared to serve them. I had a Dover Sole perfectly prepared with a calamari and prawn starter. I even managed to squeeze in a chocolate and almond tart.

What I would like to highlight is the personal touch and approach from the owner, Luka. He impressed with his introduction to his dishes, showing his passion for the food. Later on, when my mum felt unwell, he also ensured that her needs were taken care of. If you would like a place with superb service and a comfortable environment for dinner, this is the place. Excellent food with an owner who takes care of you. What more could you ask for?

m. m.One of the best fish restaurants I have ever visited..in saying that I only go once a year as it's a weee bit expensive but well worth the expense...all food is from the sea or its freshly made pasta as it's an Italian themed restaurant..the food.. as you would imagine.. is very very fresh and depending on what you order you can pick what you want to eat from the tank when you walk in the door..the wine list is vast and ranges in price from relatively cheap to very expensive..the food menu has a cross range of fish and pastas and is ..well..expensive..but so worth the money..staff are very friendly and some even speak Irish😂..the restaurant is very comfortable to eat in and not crowded at all..overall a very enjoyable evening

Wines food all of it. It's a really Italian experience where the the capo knows his suppliers, seasons and how to source them.
We had scallops, lagoustines, blue fin tuna carpaccio and salt baked sea bass. And a crab linguine.
