I love this place. The food is delicious, well served and today we had been served for Jennifer, she is really amazing. She was able to serve us all the time, recommended a lovely plates, smiling all the time and really polite.

I didn't get his name unfortunately but I'm pretty sure he's South African by the accent. He was very attentive and seemed to really have a love for the restaurant. We ordered "Meat in a bun, Irish beef brisket." It was really good. Meat was tender with a spectacular aroma. The gravy was not too juicy (which is good) and the meet was soft enough to create a very pleasant mix of flavors. I ordered a beer, but now I think that wine (Cabernet Sauvignon or Tempranillo) would have been a better choice. Jennifer was our hostess and waitress. Her work was excellent.

Beautiful! Really loved this place! They could not of been more helpful! The food was gorgeous especially the chicken wings wish I'd of had a plate full of them! The mac n cheese was so yummy. The ribs and pulled pork was soft. Toilets upstairs and disabled and baby change downstairs. Phoned a taxi for some of our group too. Would definitely go there again.

Wow! Just I want to say the place is really nice the decoration invite me to feel like in a real BBQ. Beside that the food ufff ! I will recommend try ribs, wings and pulled pork sandwich,skin fries and sweet potatoes everything has a different touch ! Really everything was tasty. I was greeted nicely, and given a large table even if I showed up alone (not all restaurants do that). I appreciate. Then, I ordered the brisket, and they said it would take time, so they were nice and offered me a huge dish of nachos. They did not take long to bring me the brisket actually. Again, I appreciate. Finally, the brisket was good, I ordered it with a side of beans and mash, and a whiskey sauce, and all was great. What can I say more? They were sweet and the food was great, I wish I could write better about this.

During my stay in Dublin I have been to this place 3 times because it was sooo good. I had pulled pork the first time, a chicken burger the second time and the brisket the third time. I had ordered from Uber and it just did not go well, so since I was close enough I walked over to the restaurant see what was happening. Every single staff member I spoke to was incredibly kind and helpful, and the problem was solved immediately with no fuss. Not only was the food great, but the ambiance was equally impressive, and the staff had some of the best customer service skills I’ve ever experienced. I will not hesitate to come back next time I’m in Dublin!

Absolutely freakin DELICIOUS!!! I got the 4-6 people bbq in a box. I was a regular at Smokin Bones pre-pandemic but I was outside of the delivery on Deliveroo. But I didn't realise their BBQ in a box delivers to Dublin, Kildare and Meath which is great news! You can probably see from the box it's a massive portion for the price asked, so big it literally fed my family dinner for two nights and we still have a little bit more to get through!! (1 very hungry dad after golf, and 3 hungry women). The instructions were super easy to follow and all you had to do was put it in the oven for like 40 minutes so super easy! Would also like to say it was absolutely delicious, we were so happy we're going to making it a regular order now, thank you so much to Andrea and the whole team you guys were a pleasure! Delivery was very good and easy to setup and they adhered to COVID guidelines wearing a mask too which was nice to see. Overall, very very happy and would happily order again. Looking forward to getting back to the restaurant when it reopens too!

A little disappointed. Good burger and sides. But we got a hair melted in the cheese, at first the waiter asked us how do we want to pursue and didn't give an solution. He took the burger and came back after a while and gave 2 alternatives: half price on the burger or a whole new burger. My husband was still hungry so he took the burger. And we waited... And waited. I would have thought that they would treat a correction as priority. So it was a little awkward as I ate my burger alone and after I was finished he ate his. But great decor and good food, I would suggest walk the extra distance and rather try Rockets in Dublin 1. It is delicious!

Disappointed - was looking forward to some feckin hot wings (and was even warned on ordering that they're "really hot") but they just weren't... the sauce was somewhat spicy, but hardly blow-your- mouth-off hot, and there wasn't enough of it on the wings. Perhaps a more generous covering would have made them hotter...? More disappointing than the wings, though, was the ribs taster - too dry and with a slightly plasticky flavour. It's hard to take a raw ingredient like baby back ribs and produce something so unappealing. I'd've been disappointed with these if they'd come from a supermarket. My daughter enjoyed her burger, and the chips were good.

If your looking for a great BBQ spot in the Dublin's City centre look no further than Smokin Bones. I've lost count of the amount of times I've been, and at this stage I've tried everything on the menu. Always find myself getting some Wings or Ribs or depending on the day if not both. My only request is the long awaited return of the corn bread that was previously on the menu a few years ago! Nice causal spot for some food with a very easy going atmosphere.

Recently got a box from smokin bones and was amazed how simple and tasty could be to order and Cooke high class Bbq meet. Instructions are simple and positions are very big. Advised 2/3 people but we where all full 2 adults and 2 kids. Really simple and tasty treat for family dinner. Highly recommend to try this service you defiantly won’t be disappointed.

Just received my order. Late but it's ok, the delivery services is something that will get better with time. My delivery guy was a lovely friendly guy didn't get this name. As for the food it's great the beans are to die for, the chicken wiings are spicy just not warm enough shame. It's good old fashioned hearty American food. Great value for money . It's tastes great. Next time I want it hotter. But overall a great BBQ place. Give it a go it's something I am looking forward to ordering again. The BBQ corn isn't BBQ corn.. Sorry in marking you down. Small place but cosy. Staff is friendly and attentive, although a bit messy: I ordered half a pint of Guinness, got a pint. I was told to keep it and that I will be charged a half a pint but was charged a pint. I had to request them to change the bill, they did and they were friendly but it was messy. The food was good, burger and goat cheese salad. We were given the bill as soon as we finished and we were under the impression that we had to free the table asap.

The pulled pork sandwich and fries are the best items. The brisket is tender, but the sauce has too much vinegar. The baked beans aren't the typical BBQ side. Very tangy and a different texture. The Jameson wings are mushy and bland. The dirty fries are subpar. The ribs have a decent BBQ sauce and are tender, but a bit grainy. Overall, not terrible, underwhelming compared to American BBQ. Also, a bit pricey.

Last June my wife and I spent our honeymoon in Ireland and centralized in Dublin during our stay. Within the first few days of walking around the Temple Bar area we walked by Smokin Bones a few times and we decided we would definitely check it out. Man oh man was that a good choice, we both had pork belly, brisket and mac n cheese and were blown away by how delicious everything was, so much so that we went there a second time during our stay in Dublin. I am from Alberta Canada and know good BBQ, never in a million years would I have thought the best BBQ I have ever had would be on the other side of the ocean but it certainly was. Hands down the best BBQ restaruant I have experienced for both food and service. Keep up the great work guys and gals!!

Bit of confusion when we asked for glass's for our mineral drinks as the coke is provide in the original glass bottles. Glass's never arrived. Food was okay. Centrally located. I haven't had much bar b q food so don't have much to compare the food with. The wings, burgers, and fried were good. The side of coleslaw was on the small side and the sweetcorn was about under cooked for my liking, also they where hard to eat as they was no utensils supplied to pick them up to eat and as they where under cooked could stab my fork into the them. I also had some ribs I enjoyed them however my to nieces found them extremely smokie.

Food was really good and there was a lot of it. Service was not bad and the craft ale also very drinkable. Not great for vegetarians ( not too surprising) with a pretty bland burger on the menu. But if you like meat especially BBQ then it's definitely worth a visit.

Found this place by accident even though it's smack bang in the middle of Dame street. Excellent place for your BBQ fix. Their house sauce is smokey and sweet, just how I like it. Their pulled pork is delicious and the mac'n'cheese is nice and cheesy. The prices are great as well. My wife and I paid 22 euro for 2 BBQ pulled pork burgers with mac'n'cheese on the side and a can of coke each... can't complain with prices like that! Definitely recommended!

Good BBQ. The pulled pork was presented as you’d find in the US and a decent sized portion. The chicken bites were very good. The blazing hot sauce is hot but very tasty, possibly related to Louisiana hot sauce but adapted and more creamy - really good but still hot. The feckin hot is very hot habanero sauce but not stupidly hot where there is no flavour at all - or that I had to go to milk/burned lips. But I’d be cautious it would ruin your meal if you didn’t know what habanero is like. Staff were excellent and good caution in regard to sauces. Overall a very nice place.

I was here when this place first opened, before they even got their first delivery of beer in. It was a fun night for many reasons, but the food was definitely part of that experience. Every time I've gone back I've been impressed, and not just because I once saw a guy eat the entirety of the Garbage Lid meal on his own while his date picked at a bit of salad and didn't look to happy. The food here is really nice, the quality is solid, and the dishes aren't polluted with overly sugary barbeque sauces. I think I prefer going here than Pitt Bros, even though that gets all the attention when you talk about Dublin BBQ spots.

This was such a good BBQ place! We got there pretty late in the evening and they were packed so we had to wait 30 minutes for a table, but it was worth it. Food tastes lovely and filled a hunger hole but was all at room temperature. If would put this to being the last customers in but I don't know why that would mean we get colder food? Great place if your peckish but it's no Bodeans. Just felt like the staff wanted to close up and go home. I don't blame them but we still expect a service.
