Reviews of Sophie's Restaurant, Bar & Terrace

Had a great time here. Went for brunch and the poached eggs did not disappoint. Certainly one of the best I've had! It was a sunny day and so the terrace was gorgeous. French toast was nice but could have done with more cinnamon and caramelized banana was not caramelised. Mocktails were nice - we tried them all and Amour Francais was my favorite.

Good food and good service, the restaurant is very beautiful and the staff are all very friendly. It is rather expensive but it's worth it for special occasions. We went for my partners Graduation and were all very happy.

A bit of a disappointment towards the end as we felt rushed and not great service. At the beginning the service was great, really attentive and polite, towards the end as it got busier it just got quite bad. Took 20 mins to get the bill and pay.
I would say the food is overpriced, we had a bottle of wine (tap) which was nice. But just too expensive. Lovely views.
We had a pizza each, starter to share and a bottle of wine €82!! The pizza toppings were also poor - hardly any on them. Pizza €16!
Maybe just go for the views and a drink.

Food was spectacular but the service could have been more attentive as there were several times we were left without drinks and were left waiting to order dessert despite it not being an overly busy time and other tables in our area were being attended to. Overall a good experience with the food and atmosphere but definitely would have had a more positive experience with more attention from the staff.

Worth the visit. Lovely to see the panoramic views with the sun setting. Food seems good. Only had a pizza as was obliged due to not being resident. Drinks were fab! They were very accommodating and gave us a great seat. I feel I need to say I don't tend to give five stars, others seem to easily, it just needs to be something VERY special for me to do this, would be giving four and a half for sure if I could

One of the best features about this place are the staff 👌
So friendly and great service.
Food was nice we sat in for a lunch menu I had a pizza because as you walk in the pizza oven is at the door and my taste buds were salivating when I saw one come fresh out the oven.
Cocktails are also amazing

Was first time here on hen party. Loved the food and ambiance . Was very foggy and hazy outside could not properly enjoy the view .. but amazing yummy food. That salad was so divine
G. G.
Great experience for brunch, especially for Full Irish breakfast.
Having a table outside can have a good view to spend time on Saturday morning.

I've been here on two separate occasions, once for dinner and breakfast. The restaurants décor and views around Dublin are great but that's about it.
- Quality of food for what you pay isn't worth it. It's not bad but considering how the restaurant sets itself up you expect more.
- Slow and disinterested staff, had to flag down staff to eventually take our order.
Wouldn't write the place off but wouldn't be rushing back anytime soon.

Everyone has been recommending Sophie's for food and views so my expectations have been really really high!
I have been here with a few colleagues and everyone was very happy with their food & drinks, though I regret to say that my first drink wasn't the correct one (Rose Sprizz instead of the ordered Aperol Sprizz) and my Cajun Chicken Burger & Vegetables haven't been really hot when being served. Taste-wise it was ok, but not as extraordinary as I probably was (over-) expecting it with all the talk about the place; but that could also just be down to my choice of food.
So I will be back for some prawns 😉.
Pictures are Tempura Prawns, Cajun Chicken Burger, Seabass, Chocolate Delice

Great service, really good food and amazing view. I had a chicken burger with fries and salad and my bf had a seabass with mussels and broccoli. Both dishes were perfectly done, delicious and in time. Totally recommend this place.

Sophie’s is always such a great spot to go to. Great cocktails. I’ve been here so many times. And the first time I came, I must have had 4 different cocktails! Each one more delightful than the last! Bar menu is delicious we had pizza and it was in one of those firewood ovens. Very tasty!!! Proper sit down a la carte menu is fab. The desserts are fantastic!!! And the cheesy fries with pancetta is to die for! Did I mention the cocktails???! something for everyone.
K. T.
All you need in one location. Excellent food and outstanding service provided by Martin. Good location, choice of indoor or outdoor dining. Cocktail menu available, good selection of drinks. Great spot for an evening out.Thank you to everyone to make our girls night out special .

I had dinner with a friend without needing to book beforehand, which I didn’t expect to! Not only the views were top-notch but also the food. I opted for a pizza and some fries to share, whilst my friend preferred the duck. Later on, she continued and ordered another pizza too. Everything was absolutely delicious. Additionally, the staff were specially helpful, patient and friendly. We were able to stay indoors as they are accepting now negative covid test results or vaccine certification. Can’t wait to come back!
E. G.
Good setting and nice view. The porridge was good, although the rest of the food was overrated as some ingredients didn't taste fresh (potatoes, bread) while some were good (salmon). Mitigated overall impression on food and the service was not very welcoming (questioning the order)

We went here on Friday night - atmosphere was lovely. Staff were so nice and friendly. We were never without a drink. The food was incredible. Highly recommend Sophie's

Sophie’s is one of those Dublin restaurants/rooftops that will make you fall in love with the city. The weather was shining, staff was extremely friendly, and most importantly very helpful in helping us find room for 15 people at the last minute. Although we had initially booked a table for 6, they managed somehow to accommodate and serve our big group, which made the experience all the more wonderful. The food was extremely tasty and on time, and our tourists loved it.
Food Taste: 8/10
Service: 10/10
Ambiance:
Value for Money: 9/10
Quick Tip: Try the Salmon Bagel, a speciality!
Coming back soon!

The restaurant is fancy and nice. The food was great ...
***but I didn't feel comfortable with the service offered , for just one staff***
c. o. r.
Sophie is known for it’s view amongst other things which did not disappoint. The food, we got pizzas was delicious to say the least but i wish the base was slightly thicker although saying this perhaps the thin base is best as the pizza was contently filling as was. The cocktails although expensive weren’t extortionate for dublin and were easily the nicest ive had in a considerable time. All in all would absolutely recommend to a friend.
J. G.
Pizza was very tasty and good value for money, but most of the non pizza mains are very pricey. Mac and cheese looked good but was a bit lack lustre. Of course the cocktails were good too but at 12 euro they are also on the more expensive side of things. The ambiance was great and staff very friendly and attentive. Outdoor heating could be a little warmer though. I would go back but not in a rush.
N. M.
10/10, for food, drinks and service. Very accommodating for vegans and vegetarians. Fernando took great care of us and is a credit to Sophie’s. It was my friends birthday and brought her out a complimentary birthday plate and candle which was a lovely touch.
N. S.
Decent breakfast, great cocktails and incredible view. made a reservation two weeks in advance for Sunday brunch and I was not disappointed. The cocktails were great and so was the view from their rooftop restaurant. The food was mediocre. We had huevos rancheros and garlic potatoes. The garlic potatoes were different and nice but huevos rancheros was disappointing. It was filled with black beans.

Absolutely adore this place. I have been here on dates and Christmas parties, and I highly recommended it! Beautiful views over Dublin and Harcourt street, amazing food and really lovely staff!! Perfect for any occasion. I got the beef half rack on my last visit, and it was boneless and fell apart like butter 🤤 all foodies should try this place!
P. L.
We were a party of 9 and everything we ordered was amazing. Tried the duck on the picture, I'll be going again for this
J. v. d. L.
Definitely worth 5 stars. Both from the restaurant and the roof top terrace you have a great view. The menu offers good variety of dishes including wood oven baked pizza. Didn't make a reservation and luckily there was plenty of space at the high tables, however I think this will be a busy spot in and around the weekend so a reservation would be needed then. Would definitely visit this place again.

Beautiful restaurant. Came here with the team from work and had a great lunch here together. We were seated at the terrace and on a beautiful sunny day, it was fantastic. Due to COVID restrictions, we had to separate the tables a bit, but it didn't disrupt us much. Even though it was really hot out (28degrees C), the breeze from the rooftop was exhilarating. The food we were served was delicious and the staff were all smiles. I really enjoyed my time there and the team did too. Hoping to visit for another time round!
D. M.
Even though you’re only on the fifth level, you feel as if you’re on top of the world! Great location to catch with friends with a spectacular view included. Pleasant service and good brunch range between traditional items to burgers and pizzas. Perfectly cooked poached eggs - drool!
m. p.
Love this place. Excellent for a breakfast with a view. The food is really tasty. I've tried the breakfast and dinner menu. Both delicious. Good wine list and good range of drinks.
E. J.
What amazing view of the city from Sophie's
The staff were excellent and so nice.
The food was really delicious.
The social distancing was done great.
M. T.
I think it is ok. Pasta was average, drinks: average and staff friendly but kept reminding us every 5 min that we needed to leave the table by 8. The place is nice but not sure if it’s worth the price.
C. C.
went to sophies last week and had a lovely time. the wait staff were attentive and very friendly, we were very well looked after despite a very busy evening service. cocktails were fab. our mains were just okay, i had the margerita pizza and my partner had the duck, they felt a little overpriced for the quality however nothing that would put us off from going again. desserts were amazing, i had the cheesecake that i couldnt even finish, it was gorgeous but really heavy (not complaining just wish i had more room for it!)and the raspberry dome was very refreshing and tasty. the decor is lovely and ambient and of course the view of dublin's skyline was fabulous.
E.
Amazing views, food, cocktails and service. Hats off to the chefs👌
C. M.
Nice restaurant. Food and service was second to none. Not much I would change (except maybe the weather the day we were there!!)
I. A. C.
Excellent! The food was amazingly tasty. We had gnochis and a burguer and both dishes were finger licking. Loved the cocktails too! All the staff was very friendly and professional. I only got Stelle's name but all of them did a great job. We will come back again! :)
A. F.
Absolutely amazing!!
No vegan menu, but facilitated to the highest degree, staff were amazing, Fernando went above and beyond and provided several options that, honestly, I wasn't expecting
10/10 will definitely be back
R. P.
Really enjoyed this place. I was a bit skeptical but overall, I really enjoyed my experience here. Our waitress took wonderful care of us and wasn't bothered at all by our billion questions and desires for recommendations.
I had the pizza and it was pretty good, though it did take quite a while to cook in their pizza oven.
The view was nice and definitely different than anything else around, which, for a city that doesn't have too many tall buildings, is great.
We didn't go out on the terrace but I could tell it was already packed by the time we got there at 6 p.m. on a Friday night. Luckily the restaurant side wasn't as busy yet and we were able to get seated 30 minutes prior to our reservation time.
It was a bit pricey, especially for the portion sizes (the drinks were a tad overpriced, too), but all-in-all, it was a great experience. I'd definitely come back if I'm ever in Dublin again.
L. S.
Huge improvement in their pizza quality. I didnt got for their pizza this time round due to previous bad experiences here but it looked like authentic sourdough this time round. Salad was lovely and so was sides. Cocktails and restaurant lovely. Huge improvement in their food since a couple of years ago. (Although looking at photos from recent reviews of peoples pizza i suspect this place is hit or miss with their pizza as to who is making them...some recent pizza photos are the awful crusty pizza i had a couple of years ago and not like the fluffy sourdough my friends had.)
T. D.
Great place for breakfast, head up early if you don’t have a reservation to secure a table. Full Irish comes with black and white pudding. Coffee could be better but overall had a pleasant meal.
c. d.
First time to the restaurant and definitely will not be the last! food was outstanding, cocktails were amazing, the views were incredible and excellent service..our waitress Nicky looked after us all night! Would recommend highly and already looking forward to being back again.
N. D.
Lovely venue with a nice view of Dublin. Accommodating, attentive personnel. Well worth a visit and obviously the open terrace would be cracking on a warm sunny day.
G. A.
Celebrated my graduation here last night! Had an amazing experience, never got the name of our waiter but he made our night extra special and was super attentive going out of way to make our night super special. Thank you 😊
M. G.
Rancheros were the best I’ve had, pancakes were unreal also. Great views and easy to get a seat considering there were many reservations. Location was perfect and easy to find. Staff were lovely. Would 100% go here again next time.
w. q.
Tried brunch and a dessert, was good.
The view from the top let's you look over the far side of Harcourt street which is a vantage point that would be difficult to come across elsewhere.
Steak and eggs came with a generous portion size as did the garlic potatoes
J. R.
Lovely spot would give a 4.5 if I could. Not too many roof top bars in Dublin so was lovely to be in one all the waiters were very accommodating and the cocktails were a refreshing change to the usual ones in every bar. Shame more TD's dont swing off the rooftop instead!
G. I.
First time I walked into Sophie's was because a friend of mind rented out a space at the dean hotel for his wedding. Sophie is a on the 5th floor of the the dean hotel located on Harcourt street not too far from at Stephens green Dublin 2, Dublin. They also have a wonderful view and open area to seat. This gives one a very beautiful view of the city and make a person appreciate the night life.
L. B.
Lovely terrace and great views from the restaurant. Food and service were good, but not amazing. Would recommend for a group dinner as quite loud, or for drinks on the terrace.
O. V.
Perfect for romantic night out.Tables vith the view to the city.We were @9pm Wednesday in December. It was full, crowded. Staff really attentive and quick. We were asked to have drinks while table gets ready. In few minutes we were invited to sit down. Waitresses excellent very quick, careful and extremely positive. Food and drinks are top class. 2 of us shared starter - the gentlest goat cheese,2 mains - Angus beef just most perfectly cooked and veeery tasty haddock. To finish with flourless brownie with pistaccio ice cream. Just we very very full. Amazing date, amazing night out.Night city view.Perfect mood. Would come back!
E. D.
Had a big party here the thur14th of Oct and was so please with the service and the staff were so attentive . We had tables all very close by even tho the 6 to table rule it worked so well. Food was amazing the kitchen had everything on time and hot. Everyone loved it. Only for we were so full when dessert came the set dinner menu was worth it . Don't change a thing on the menu .
They never once forgot us. Never had to ask for water . They were so accomodating with the bill spliting as it's always so awkward with big groups.
Barbara was so attentive and even organised a congratulations plate for my friend that got engaged as she over heard us yelling .haha.
Thank you so much .
We'll be back.
Definitely one of the top press up locations for me.
c. g.
I loved it for the panoramic views of dublin.. the ambience is quite neat and the place feels very airy and full of light. Food wise i tried their pizza and fries and liked it.. service is impeccable and people are very courteous..
F. O.
Nice restaurant
We had breakfast which was all right at best. The toast was cold. I had to ask for it to be replaced. We had to ask several times for a second coffee
J. B.
Great to celebrate special occasions with friends or with you other half. The atmosphere is great and staff are super friendly adding positively to the experience. The food is absolutely gorgeous. I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order. Great experience overall. Will definitely come back.
D. T.
Some of the best views in Dublin from their rooftop bar. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Make reso’s in advance if you go on the weekends.
S. M.
Very nice food and drinks, good quality and lovely views over Dublin. Stayed the night in the Dean so could eat indoors as a resident with the covid restrictions. Would recommend
k. o.
Couldn't recommend more. Best place I have ate out in in a long time. Can't wait to try they brunch.
A. K.
Everything from the antipasti through dessert was delicious. But more exceptional than the food and drinks was the service. All the servers who waited on us were so friendly and intuitive. I was making a gesture to my father and the server from the 50 ft away realized I was asking to borrow his spoon and ran an extra one right over to me. They are totally on top of things! I look forward to going back.
N. D.
The pictures don't really communicate that in the evening, this is a fancy, moody, atmospheric restaurant (in a trendy way). I wasn't enamoured by the food - it was well presented but I found it bland. Bit pricey but worth it for the vibe and view.
C. V.
An absolute jem in the middle of Dublin! We found this place by chance, staying in a hotel just opposite. It is a super cozy rooftop restaurant and bar, at the top of The Dean hotel! We came for breakfast/brunch, the pancakes were great and the food was a reasonable price, amazing and friendly service too! We liked it so much we came back for drinks another evening - where the barman created me a cocktail based on asking me my preferences on alcohol and flavours. We were thoroughly impressed with Sophie’s, and we will most certainly be back on our next visit to Dublin!!
T.
Lovely rooftop bar, with a nice atmosphere, however the service is not very good, just a general lack of organisation and the food was average.
L. R.
Good staff and food...Dublin prices, but only to be expected. Great view over the city. Worth a visit for sure. Well set up for Covid.
C. W.
Pizza was epic!! Came out so quick as well. Dropped a star because I ordered 2 rounds of hot whiskey and hot port drinks and they served them in Brandy glasses , had to wait a while for them to cool down so I could touch the glass.
J. B.
Great observation point on a clear day to check out all the new activity in Horgan's Quay. Food we as good but overpriced with a limited menu. Decent vegetarian options. Friendly staff.
O. H.
Wonderful service - they gave us a beautiful congratulations treat for our graduation party. So thoughtful ! Great food too, we felt it was a very covid friendly restaurant whilst dining outdoors.
R. N.
Nice decor, roof top etc but food just Ok. Sophie's burger was nothing to write home about vs somewhere like Bunsen.
L. T.
We had our pre Xmas party cocktails here. Very nice place for few drinks. Unfortunately haven't got a chance to taste their food but we will definitely go back at some stage
M. S.
Great Location over the roofs of Dublin. Good service and tasty food. Yes, it is kinda pricey like most restaurants here in Dublin, but worth it.
k. S.
quite expensive but amazing food and excellent service with the amazing view. I would recommend u to go here and I’m surely go back there again 👍🏻🤩 + handsome bartender 👌🏻
V. I.
Great food, great staff and lovely views from restaurant windows. What more could you ask for in an evening out. 💕
R.
Beautiful 360 views across Dublin inside the restaurant. The outdoor terrace is nice also on a warm day but definitely book ahead.
Drinks and food are expensive considering the pizza is very nice but no wow factor. But then again the location and setting are what you’re paying for for special occasions.
Wouldn’t be rushing back. Nice to see once. Unless for a birthday or similar.
Seems more like a place that attracts pretentious socialites.
A.
Amazing location with great panoramic skyline view. However the service was disappointing and the food was OK but nothing to write home about... You have to access this place through another bar's elevator.
T. C.
Oh man, what a beautiful restaurant. I would definitely recommend a date night here. If ya girl hasn’t been here, don’t tell her where you’re going - it was such a nice surprise and the ambience is amazing. They have booths all the way around the restaurant with coat hooks beside each booth which is adorable! We booked at 8pm on a weekday, weird though since our table wasn’t ready, but sat at the bar and had a cocktail (very cool selection). Our server was the nicest waitress ever, I’ve forgotten her name but she’s South African! The meal was good not the best I’ve had - calamari was a little peppery. I ordered a pizza with olives (so wild I know) (it was my treat okay), and it arrived with pepperoni and olives which was a little unfortunate because I’m now a vegetarian. I told the server (different one, male) and he apologised and brought it back. The female server apologised as well but it wasn’t any hassle. Got my original order and even added side orders in which was lovely. Had a fab evening, so so full. I didn’t even need the calamari.
T. S.
Great food with a surprising view. Restaurant is located on the fifth floor of the Dean’s Hotel. Customers not staying at the hotel are welcomed to eat from 11am. The brunch item shown is poached eggs with crispy bacon on a muffin. Mimosa aren’t shown on their drink list... but you’re in luck because they have the bubbly beverage packed with a boozy punch.
A nice location for a intimate brunch.
A. d. M.
Amazing dinner!
Unfortunately I forgot to ask the waiter name, great and very pleasant service.
Mario de manager was brilliant!
Definitely will come back and recommend!
D. O. D.
Had a wonderful lunch here today. Beautiful views and the staff were lovely. Will definitely be back
N. Z.
Had a lovely full Irish breakfast with my wifey at Sophie’s. Service was second to none. Staff’s we’re all friendly and accommodating. Best place
L. H.
View is amazing! Went for breakfast, wasn't too happy with the food though. Had the eggs royale and one of the poached eggs was more hardboiled than poached, not runny at all. Apple juice should have been strained before going to the table as there was to much foam in the glass. The fruit ball was a bit boring and the strawberries used hadn't matured properly. Coffee was great. Service was slow even though there weren't many guests!
L. G.
Great atmosphere, nice food and very nice staff. Justin and Fernando were very attentive and pleasant, I would definitely recommend to visit Sophie's.
D. T.
Lovely food, beautiful view, staff is very friendly and helpful. I definitely will come back.
M. G.
Very nice atmosphere, great food and cocktails, friendly staff. Totally recommended!
J. J.
Super nice rooftop with great views of Dublin!. I went for breakfast and it was really good. It must be really nice during the night too.
N.
Great views, cool atmosphere but too noisy. Food was OK, the service nice but a little bit slow.
M. W.
Very good food and service. Great views over Dublin city.
R. H.
We went for sunday brunch. Certainly book ahead to get a table. Friendly waitresses and the roof top view is something different. I had the avocado and bacon bagel which was good!
N. B.
Dave Lee was amazing and so professional he provided amazing customer service and helped us with our stay so much. I would highly recommend coming here especially because of the staff.
A. P.
Surprisingly sizable portions and a pretty good view.
R. h.
What a lovely dining experience, friendly staff, great food ,amazing views .definitely recommend a visit.Book first though extremely busy
J. K.
One of the best places in town. Amazing drinks and food.
The set and ambiance of the place are great.
The best part is the friendliness of the staff. Our waiter was extremely nice and friendly!
N. B.
Top floor of hotel. Great views over Dublin, good pizza, helpful staff. As you would expect, expensive.
A. F. G.
Reliably good food in a lovely setting, lunch or dinner... Terrace is brilliant in summer.
C. C.
Cocktails are good. Pizza was normal and overpriced.
The girls working in the terrace are lovely and helpful but the guy that was bringing the food was really rude. We asked for the menu and he ignore us.
Guinness was awful, can’t believe they charge for that like “good Guinness”
The only good thing is the terrace for a cocktail but I wouldn’t come again to eat.
L. W.
Beautiful meal and great friendly staff. Just would have liked smoking to be stopped or moved away from the dining tables when we are all eating outside.
L. R.
Really nice place with a beautiful view over Dublin. The food was good but the portions a little small.
e. v.
Awesome views and amazing space! The pizza was very delicious. Great place for making someone feel special ✨
S. H.
The restaurant is really pleasant however the welcome staff were very average. Our table waiter was apologetic and lovely
M. M. B.
Sophie's is a great location with unique views over Dublin. The food is very good!

Great location and atmosphere. Staff were very friendly but food wasn't great and was over priced.
L. U.
Love it! Nice and relaxing place. The view is amazing. The food is lovely :) it's super busy, so better get booking before hand
N. C.
Lovely service and food is delicious. Could be some deals on the drinks found the mimosas very expensive at 12 euro
J. L.
Limited menu, few bargains. Great view. Nice staff, good ambience.
J. G.
Terrible service, waited for 15 mins to get menus and then any time we order drinks we had to wait ages for them to arrive. Food was OK.
L. _.
Rooftopbar with a good look over Dublin. Quality food for a quality price and the service overall is great!
H. R.
Nice place to have dinner with friends.
The soup and the french Fries were delicious.
S. B.
Visited on 9th July and had a wonderful experience. Excellent attentive staff and delicious food at a really reasonable price. Would reccomend.
a. K.
Lovely place to have have a drink after work, had great service too
H. B.
A nice find away from the pubs in Dublin with an excellent wine list and food. Pizza, risotto and a fantastic ceasar salad are on the menu along with charcuterie. The large rooftop restaurant has an amazing 180 view of Dublin. On the other side of the restaurant is a semi outdoor bar area with a fireplace. Would be good for a large group or a quiet romantic evening.
A. M.
Great views, awesome food, not cheapest but worth it
S. J.
I didn't expect this kind of place in Dublin. It is very fancy and nice restaurant with great view, excellent food and lovely ambience.
K. J.
Beautiful place to have a breakfast or dinner. Very lovely view. The food was a little bit too expensive. The salmon on my bagel was too thick, so I don't enjoy my meal to 100%
O. O.
Great place on fair price
M. T.
Staff make the experience from good to great. The staff were helpful ,quick , friendly and organised the food was very good and coffee warm n strong. The area is cosy and warm like the welcome we received. First time will be back soon.
H. P.
A social place for brunch however I might have been better choosing something other than the poached eggs and smoked salmon
k. G. D. D. D.
Great spot unfortunately quite a rude server, felt like an errant child 😢cocktails were amazing and food fabulous.
J. T.
Amazing food and ambience. Staff was helpful and kind. Nice outdoor terrace.
S. F.
Amazing breakfast, amazing views & great cocktails, fantastic place for a Sunday brunch even with a sore head 😁
R. L.
Great views and great pizza in a traditional Italian oven.
p. b.
An absolute delight... food ambience views 2nd to none..the tempura prawns were to die for.
A. A.
Amazing spot, cocktails are great and food delicious

Food is good, bit of a delay and a friend's steak was overdone. Great views over the city.
M. M.
Delicious brunch, loved the Bloody Mary's. Very friendly staff. Great views. Check it out!
R. G.
Came for a drink. Was packed. Must be good. The food looked amazing.
N. M.
Beautiful location, with a amazing view of the city. Lovely outside area too, looking forward to coming back during summer. Nice selection of non-alcoholic drinks.
C. f.
Went here for the cocktails and rooftop terrace. Not very quick service and lots of tables were reserved but pizza was tasty and came quickly and the cocktails were good.
n. p.
had a wonderful evening. Server was nice and friendly. Lamb pizza was delicious. perfect for a romantic date.
S. F.
Went for brunch, service was okay. The drinks were very good and the food middle of the road for what you would expect of high end brunch.
A. I.
Beautiful view, nice vibe and a great place to hang out with friends, celebrate birthdays or just for girls night out!
R. M.
Food is amazing. Very beautiful place
C. C.
lovely food, staff are extremely friendly highly recommended 👌
C. S.
The roof top has such an amazing view of the Dublin City. I like the deco, very modern, it looks like New Yorkers restaurants, though it was too warm in the restaurant, we asked to go to the terrace instead, we couldn't stay in the restaurant. However, the lunch menu isn't great. I ordered a sophie's burger, which has no flavour, the chips weren't good, although the sauce is nice comes with the burger. I don't think the lunch menu matches with the view. I've had a better burgers in Dublin City 100% sure. Staff were great.

Dropped by to have some cocktails and whiskey. They're decent but overpriced. I imagine the rooftop seats would be nice in the summer, but it was too cold the day we visited. Much like the service we had. The waiter don't know the kinds of drinks they serve and the bartender just want to finish his work quickly.
R. D. B.
Great place to have an exciting Saturday evening. Lots of fun people and great music. I recommend the Paulner beer!
F. D.
Absolutely fantastic food was beautiful & the decor 😍 &service was A1

This is probably one of the best spots in Dublin for food views and drinks. If you are looking for a treat then this is the place. Stylish interior with magnificent views. Food is delicious and cocktails are good especially the esspresso martini..
A. C.
Great views. Friendly staff
M. L.
Views and Atmosphere are great. Food was just ok. My pancakes were slightly burnt but I don't think that's why people go here
M. I.
Brilliant breakfast and not busy if you get here early. Lovely views of Dublin and the staff are always at hand to keep checking if you are ok. Also don’t forget the famous photo on the swing when you get out the lift.
Would recommend for a great breakfast / brunch if you visiting or even live in the city.
M. A.
We stopped here because it looked so inviting from the street. We weren't disappointed. The food was better than good. The service was first rate and the pricing was fair for a quality meal. The wines seemed a bit pricey. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in the door. We would return. Give them a try.
P. K.
Food is delicious the desserts were a let down.Views are lovely.

Came here for a friend's birthday and was massively disappointed with the service. We attempted to book a table for 8.30pm but were told they didn't have capacity until 9pm, which we accepted. They then changed our booking to 9.30pm because a party of 10 had booked after us and they "have to give them priority because they're a bigger group" (we were a group of 8). When we arrived to the restaurant at 9.30 on the night we had booked, we were rushed into ordering because the kitchen closes at 10pm (which we were never informed of). The food was nice but ruined by the poor service.
C. A.
Amazing experience. Drinks and food were fab and the view just made the experience even better. Thumbs up to all the staff that helped us to have such a nice dinner in such dire times.
C. L.
Lovely food, great service, fabulous views
S. J. G.
Fabulous place for brunch & cocktails, views of Dublin & a lovely atmosphere.
s. a.
Amazing food and waitress Brigit really knew her stuff and had great recommendations, great service overall attentive but not bothersome. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed with so widely advertised 360 view. We could not really enjoy it while dining, unless eating while standing as the windowsill is on the eye level and windows are not that low like looked on the website photos. And we are tall girls! :-)
C. J.
Great service, food just okay
K. V.
Whoa! Firstly, the place itself is so pretty. The outside area (the terrace) is small so I'd say that you need to book in advance to make sure you get a table. The service was amazing. Cocktails were really good, the food is simple, yet delicious, super tasty. We had a wonderful time and I'll definitely come back.
A. W.
Really tasty food and great views of dublin city!
O. D.
Absolutely love this place. The deco is as amazing as the view and the cocktails are just delicious. You can never make a bad choice!
K. B.
Might be a bit pricy but totally worth it and the staff is nice too. very classy place !
K. I.
A very nice place with a great view. Decent food
C. J.
Friendly staff, lovely roof top view

We came her as walk-in guests for my birthday lunch. The staff at the door was very accommodating and nice, the waiter who took our drink orders was a friendly lad as well. Cocktail menu looks great, with a very good selection of drinks. As it was a relatively sunny day (which is rare in Dublin) we sat outside once a table has become available, and once again the host was really helpful in showing us to our table on the terrace. The problems started there, as we were completely forgotten from that moment onwards. We had to wait nearly 20 minutes after finishing our starters to have plates cleaned off (which only happened once I indicated to the waitress that we would also like to get another drink) and then further 15 minutes for the mains to arrive. As I was rushing to work, there was no time left for dessert. I work in hospitality and understand that it can get really busy (which it was) but I would have appreciated an apology at least, for having us wait that much. But once again, these things happen, I'm just pointing it out as something the management could address to further improve their customer service. As for the quality of the food, it was nice, the drinks were good, view is not as nice as from the Marker, but it's definitely worth to go there. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it to friends and family.
ž. k.
Anazing view, friendly staff, great food...
E. C.
Spectacular views, amazing food great service, Sophie's blends all the great parts of casual and fine dining experiences. The cocktails are excellent but I found the menu a little on the limited side (quality over quantity I suppose). The steak was cooked to perfection, I asked for rare and it was delicious (one of the top 3 I've had at a restaurant and definitely the best I've had in Dublin). I look forward to eating here again at some point... But definitely on a special occasion
L. M.
Amazing rooftop bar with delicious pizza and really polite and friendly waiters/waitresses. I only tried pizza, they do have some other dishes as well. As for the pizza, it was really good. It is not the cheapest place but if you are looking for a good night out in a restaurant, you will enjoy it.
A. H.
Excellent trout...loved the atmosphere. Service was impeccable
G. S.
These guys have definitely upped their game since lockdown. Lunch was great, service has been exceptional, really friendly and attentive. The view over Dublin is a bonus.
F. G.
The best rooftop bar and restaurant in Dublin, centrally located with exceptional views of the city and wonderful stone baked pizzas, cocktails and mains.
V. N.
Omg if your in Dublin go to Sophie’s. Super chill atmosphere and the food was delicious. Worth every euro
M. v. d. L.
Stunning mountain and city views, good drinks, bar and food. Not too pricey. Great lively place for a dinner and night out. The rooftop restaurant is quite large and has views all around. You can sit at the bar and have a drink or go for a dinner, fancy or just a pizza. If the weather is nice, sit outside on the rooftop terrace. One of the nicest places in Dublin city center I know.
L. L.
Great service, delicious food and fantastic views!
S. O.
Brunch was delicious and served quick! The view from the rooftop is stunning also.
M. K.
One of my absolute favourite restaurants. Portion sizes are excellent, leaning towards slightly too much rather than too little. Quality of food is impeccable. Cocktails are amazing and there is a wide selection to choose from for variety. Wine varies from cheap and cheerful to expensive and delicious. The venue is breathtaking, the restaurant is located on the 5th floor with full length windows.
The staff who work in the establishment are what gives Sophie's it's real edge above other restaurants in Dublin. All the staff are friendly, super attentive, rarely make any sort of mistake. At the same time they allow you privacy with your guests during your meal, while keeping an eye on your drinks.
Could not give higher praise to this place.
D. E.
This is a good place for carnivores. Service was very friendly and mostly good (though it it took quite a while before our order was taken). My fish starter was excellent: the vegetarian main course not so good - bland. My colleagues swooned about their meat dishes (hence the 4 stars). The pizzas are overpriced and fairly mediocre. Overall, a good dining experience, though it is expensive.
A. J.
Absolutely delicious food! Thank you Sophie's Team 👍
G. T.
Nice atmosphere food was nice and good portion sizes
R. D.
We went as group for brunch. The food is delicious with wide choices and portions are more that what you paid for. We were stuffed! The city view is beautiful on a clear sky morning. Cocktails are amazingly delicious! We ended up hogging a section of the bar and staying longer for more. The service is efficient with friendly professional staff. You definitely need to book to avoid dissapointment.
R. B. O.
Amazing venue and the food doesn’t disappoint! A great please to bring your friends and family but also for a date
A. F.
The amazing view and decor are about the only things this place has going for itself. The hosts were pretentious and a bit rude - we didn’t have a reservation but didn’t want to stand around waiting so we asked if we could sit at the bar. The hosts made it seem like this was such an inconvenience because they would have to come and get us to show us to our table. The food was alright, but pretty mediocre (ordered a pizza and full Irish), and the service was slow (over 10 minutes to get a latte we ordered).
H. G.
The views are nice but the menu should be more accurate. The pancakes options are mixed berried and cream, orange butter and maple syrup, or banana, chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream, but the waitress kept insisting that I could only have the bananas. The food was good, but the menu should reflect what you can get.
R. K.
Amazing food with great rooftop views of Dublin
C. K.
Gorgeous views of Dublin! Food was very tasty, as were the drinks. Only thing that brings down the rating is the staff. Not very friendly at all and rushed us all through dinner and dessert. Still worth a visit but don't expect to be vowed.
L. Q.
Lovely brunch and nice views from the rooftop!
N. S.
The food was amazing but 40 minute wait was less than ideal on a lunch break. Won't stop me from visiting again. I had the burger (so good) but had serious food envy for all the other dishes served. Also the almost 360° view is worth a visit alone never mind a quick swing on the way out!
M. L.
Awesome restaurant and view. The brunch/breakfast has been always exceptionally good. Especially the porridge is nice as they don't mix together everything in advance but let you add honey etc. by yourself. It is important to book a table in advance.
H. S.
Amazing views on the rooftop, always a pleasure to visit.
J. C.
Delicious food, very easy to book, they even checked morning of to confirm our reservation. Extremely friendly staff ,very quick from order to actually getting the food and checking up on us throughout the meal. Highly recommend the parmesan and tarragon fries. Will definitely be back
D. C.
Great views, excellent food (not overly expensive, easy to split dishes), attentive and courteous staff, all with a lovely atmosphere. Nice that they have heaters outside, too, if you prefer that to the glassed-in area. I like the marble countertop (not a bar) for solo diners or those who prefer to look outward. Probably need reservations for more than two people.
M. X.
A little treasure in the city ,staff so friendly, food amazing, and view wow, need to visit
T. O.
Food was really good, views stunning. Service could be a little better as I had to get a steak knife myself and staff were too busy chatting. Other than that would recommend and will be back!
R. D.
Well worth a visit if not for the view alone. Very much liked the overall ambience and clever use of lights and decor. Food whilst pricey enough was tasty and enough. Menu had good range and choices to suit most people and palettes. Primarily it's the location and view. That said staff were friendly and quick. Overall a strong 4 from me
S. M.
Will definitely be back! Amazing location, beautiful views and incredible service. Adina and Keeleigh were so accommodating and lovely, would rate the place 10/10 solely based on their service :) Even though it was quite busy, the girls really took their time with us and made sure we were being looked after, which is something you don’t often get, as in most places staff are just rushing from table to table! Will be recommending to everyone and will be back soon:) thanks for a lovely evening:)!
F. N.
Lovely view..food its ok :)
M. S.
stayed here during the restrictions in dublin so was able to eat in sophies whilst staying in the hotel. the dinner was delicious and the restaurant well laid out to ensure 2m distance.
c. f.
Head chef is a super foody expert. Cocktsils amazing. Love it.
M. C.
Was in Sophie's recently for dinner with 3 of my family and the whole experience was just amazing, from the cocktails, the food, the service & scenery there was nothing more that could have been done for us. Hopefully we will get to go back again soon in the near future when things settle down
Michael

One of the best venues in Dublin. At the roof of the Dean Hotel, this place serves up the best cocktails and most amazing food. We were blown away. It's pricey, but you get what you pay for. It's a fantastic place for a date or dinner party or special occasion.
J. C.
I went there for brunch with a few friends and I was not disappointed. I ate the huervos rancheros and it was incredibly tasty! I had the applaud the Guacamole, one of the best in Dublin that I've had so far, which is a surprise because normally the Guacamole is just green tasteless avocado goop. Great view AND great food. Can't wait to go back.
L.
Excellent location and stunning views in the afternoon. Variety of cocktails and fair price. In my opinion, there is a lack of atmosphere, no music in the background (and if so, not loud enough). It is necessary to book in advance if you come to a dinner.
L. Y.
One of my favourite places for brunch. The view is really nice, the food is delicious and they also have a great selection of cocktails. I recommend to book in advance.
T. H.
Lovely food, worth a visit.
C. C.
Had dinner at Sophie’s recently it was a wonderful experience the food was the nicest I’ve had in a long time. They cocktails were magnificent and the staff couldn’t Have be nicer.
Definitely will be returning very soon I hope.
S. E.
Great venue for brunch. Staff super friendly especially Keith who looked after our every need. Food was tasty and the bloody Marys are worth the visit alone. Best to book in advance. Great views of city if you are entertaining guests from out of town.
D. W.
Food not bad, not worth the prices. We went to see the view because apparently you rlly get a view of the city. We saw rooftops of the neighborhood, no view of the city. Not worth the hype. Staff was nice and place felt very fancy.
B. M.
Decided to stop in here after seeing such high reviews on Google. Ordered the 8oz steak and was definitely not disappointed. Prices were rather high, but I suppose that's normal for hotel restaurants. Staff was courteous and the views were nice. Would recommend.
S. S.
As we got in for new years we went to the rooftop and it was awkward and cramped and boiling hot so we went downstairs disappointed and ordered a bottle of wine. Once it got to midnight we went back up and it was far better, music was great and everyone was having a great time. After that it only got better with the main room for music being great, became a good club. Would reccomend.
S. B.
Nothing that hasn't been said before. Great ambience, good lighting and decor, amazing view, perfect room temperature. Food was delicious and didn't have to wait for long at all. Good wine list. Would love to go back and spend more time.
A. O. S.
This restaurant has amazing views; one of the only rooftops you will find in Dublin.
The service is lovely, but you should do reservation, as it always get busy.
The food is delicious food, incluiding vegan options.
K. M. G.
Top spot, you'll need to book but it's worth the visit
M. S.
Nice view of the city, excellent brunch, pancakes are amazing.
M. V.
Great views and great food.
D. D.
Only went for drinks! But in that regard we enjoyed both of ours. Seems like a cool spot!
S. L.
Very pretty. Lovely view. Went there for a Christmas party. The bar was under-staffed and the bartenders were either rude AF or under pressure. Couldn't find a manager. I had never felt a need to speak to a manager before. V. Disappointing.
H. D.
Great food, cocktails and service!
R. O.
Simply delightful. Fresh house pizzas and an amazing view to capture the sunset. Highly recommended!! But make sure you book in advance as it can get busy after 6pm
D. R.
Great place, lovely staff, everything in the right direction. The food is amazing and great selection of de drinks. Highly recommended.
A. B.
Great experience! Defo be back!! Great food and service.
C. H. H.
Wonderful place with a view and great food
l. r.
One of the best restaurant in Dublin It does have a Cocktail bar in the middle of the restaurant situated on the 5th floor of the building where you'll find fine cocktails made by proper bartenders and a view of 360 degrees on Dublin, on the other side you'll find a fantastic Terrace with table service naturally.
On the ground floor of the Hotel The Dean there is another cocktail bar and you'll have the possibility to have a fine drink there, but in a usually more quite room
P. C.
We had wine with our meal which drove our bill sky high. We all loved the starters but found the main courses less exciting; two people had pizza and they were very disappointed. Our waitress from Uruguay was extremely nice and friendly.
j. p.
Cocktails and the venue are amazing, girl that was serving us was totally wierd and unfriendly. We order same cocktail for the second time, after half an hour sitting, because it was the best chocolate cocktail ever and got something completely different. Very disappointed.
S. M.
Lovely meal, friendly staff and a beautiful July sunset over Dublin
S. H.
Amazing food and view to die for!
S. C.
If you are looking for a special brunch, this is THE place, specially on a sunny day. The rooftop restaurant has stunning views and amazing modern design. It is unique, and probably the reason why it is fully booked almost always. The menu is good though expected, being quite similar to other restaurants' brunch offers. One brunch dish and some coffee is around 15€. Something I have experienced the 2 times I've been at Sophie's for brunch is that due to high level of table reservations, waiters ask you to leave. We already finished the meal so it wasn't dramatic but it is a downer when you are having a good time.
t. c.
Atmosphere and bar excellent rooftop level brilliant heading back over to dublin again for my birthday this will be 1st stop for us
S. M.
Lovely place - amazing interior and a stunning view! Our food was amazing, the drinks as well, but the prices are too high and the service wasn't good. I think it's definitely worth a visit, but I wouldn't come again.
C. G.
Great food as always. I never tried pizza here but I think this will be my next order. We dined at a table near the pizza making oven, it is really like an Italian pizza station. Our mains were cooked to perfection and I loved the savoy cabbage with bacon lardons that was served as a side to grilled hake. A couple of the lardons were a tad too 'crispy', but this did not spoil the overall effect and I enjoyed the dish thoroughly.
V. P.
Yea it's a nice place alright. I wouldn't say its mind blowing for the price, the pizza was delicious and I will say the staff are on point. Having decent staff can be the deciding factor on whether or not I'd recommend a place and going on that, I would recommend Sophie's.
M. U.
The food, view and service was really great
B. F.
Located on the 5th floor inside a hotel, this trendy Italian restaurant is surrounded by large glass windows offering great views of the city. The food and drinks are both delicious and affordable. Great spot for a date, meeting with friends or just a relaxing dinner.
D. B.
Nice pizza and ambience.
Delicious cocktails.
Service is ok, some of the staff are lovely, some forgetful.
But it's overpriced, and the Guinness goes down as one of the worst, so stick to the cocktails.
Overall a nice enough place to experience once.
I. P.
Nice atmosphere, super awesome food. The French toast is really nice and portions are nice and big. Had to wait for the food a bit tho and we only had the table booked for an hour and a half.
J. B.
Excellent venue. Didn't know it existed until last weekend. Inside very nice and trendy but the smoking area outside over looking Harcourt street is nearly like a hidden gem in one of the cities busiest streets!!
L. R.
Great venue, good food, limited menu. I went for the fillet and it was really good.
Service is ok, could be better given the place. The menu could probably be improved too. Wouldn't have known what to eat if fillet wasn't in the menu.
Brunch is ok but inexpensive, give it a try. Don't expect the perfect restaurant experience, you mostly pay for the view.
S. O. C.
Popped in for Sunday brunch and had good cloudy views, tasty pizza and prosecco. Happy days.
j.
Nice food and great view of the city
M. W.
Lovely food with an even lovelier view. A bit hard to find as it is above The Dean and only advertised by a small display stand on the pavement. If you get the timing right you can enjoy dinner while the sun sets over the city. Very touristical, I know, but worth it.
P. G.
Stunning views of the city (yes even in the middle of harcourt street) and superb food. Great selection of mainstream and craft brews, whiskey and gin. Great spot to start a night or even have a party on the roof top terrace.
A. N.
Lovely view, good atmosphere and nice food, but considering I booked a table well in advance I would have preferred not to sit at bar stools beside strangers, also the menu lacked enough veggie/vegan options.
J. C.
One of the best bars in Dublin on a clear day, on appearance it looks like it would be really expensive but its very reasonable plus they sell sailor Jerry and not many bars stock it. They have a large selection of wines, whiskeys and rums which is always good to see. The food smelled amazing but I'll have to try it next time, cool pizza oven for that stone baked flavour
J. H.
Lovely terrace, went on a Sunday so not too busy. Sister got the 'hello shophies' cocktail or something
She wasnt a massice fan but I got the Hendricks and elderflower tonic, so so nice. Servers were really nice.
S. A.
A pit pricy but the portions are big for the breakfas. Perfect for sharing.Their poached eggs are perfect and the bagels worth trying.
F. D.
Nice bar/restaurant with a view. During the weekend could be kind difficult to find a table if you will arrive too late and there isn't really a good space to stand. Might be a bit overpriced that the other bars in Dublin but you have the view :) I suggest a stop anyway, it is really nice. Also we don't have too many "poshy" bars in Dublin.
M. S.
The view over Dublin is just a bonus for this lovely rooftop restaurant. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is great! I would highly recommend this place. Their pizza is everything!
E. M.
It was everything excellent, lovely staff, great atmosphere. We had a great time. Thank you.
T. B.
If you only once then eat here. Great rooftop views, excellent atmosphere, super food and friendly welcoming staff. In summer enjoy the terrace.
T. R.
Had a really nice meal in Sophies recently . I started with the Crab, and while I'm not usually a fan, the pear really made it! I had the venison for my main. The waiter advised that it was medium rare, personally I prefer venison medium so I informed the waiter of this and i have to say, it was cooked to perfection! The staff are amazing and on point for any requests! Also, the views are amazing! I'll back for sure!
E. M.
Went for breakfast here and really enjoyed it. Very fresh, generous portions and delicious coffee. Quite formal/upmarket place to go for a treat or a meeting. The restaurant has panoramic windows and a cute little rooftop
T. D.
Went here for a Saturday evening meal out and really enjoyed it. Its beautifully decorated, has great views, and a fun atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the food was great!
E. V.
Amazing scenery: nicely furnished rooftop bar/restaurant, with views over Dublin and the Wicklow mountains.
The food is decent - not mind-blowing, but definitely decent.
Recommended for a drink or a light dinner.
M. O.
Fantastic views of Dublin with a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, that's all that this restaurant has going for it. After eating here several times, it's clear that food is an after thought.
P. S.
Beautiful view over Dublin and nice interior style. I loved the reduced menu and simple italian basics for dinner. However a bit disappointed by the food related to price. Went there again for breakfast and really enjoyed it.
C. N.
Went for dinner a few weeks and had a wonderful time! Our server Barbara was attentive, helpful and friendly throughout the evening. Fantastic cocktails too!
J. R.
Amazing food, gorgeous venue. Try the chorizo fries!
A. C.
This is probably the restaurant with the best view in Dublin. Have been here several times for brunch and dinner, and the food is generally very good. Highlights of my latest visit were the tagliarini with prawns and the chocolate brownie.
P. S.
Went for brunch with kids. Loved the place: tasty food, great view, nice and attentive staff. Prices are high but portions are generous and I didn't mind paying it in this place.
L. -. S.
Amazing venue overlooking the city with beautiful views and it also has a terrace. Not only is the place great, the food is also very tasty and varied. Try the cocktails, it is a popular place to I'd suggest to book in advance.
A. G. I.
Sophie's combines really delicious food with an incredible atmosphere located in an upbeat rooftop (6 stories high). Food is not expensive for the quality you get. Word of advice: You should always try to book a few days in advance.
W. S.
The best best brunch, friendly staff and an amazing view of city.
J. H.
A wo fearful experience travelling up to 5th floor and overlooking Dublin..staff very friendly and attentive. Food delicious I had breakfast with all trimmings and porridge as well as pancakes well worth a taste xx
T. D.
Brunch-food-wise it's three stars, but ambience, view and staff are a 4. The place looks great, and the view is too. Nice rooftop terrace with heaters.
Had the rib-eye and eggs for lunch - prepared well but nothing more. 'Huevos Rancheros with sausage' is a better pick for your money.
Would go back for drinks, not convinced about the food.
G. N.
Sophies provides a rooftop view of the city with a good range of food and drink with great service. As you exit the lift on the top floor theres a rope swing to use while supping a cocktail perhaps.
D. F.
Great night in Sophies as always. Great food, friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Going here for the past 6 years and I love it more every time.
E. L. C.
Simply excellent venue, either for breakfast or cocktails. It comes with great view over the city and with wonderful staff attitude, anytime I go there I know I will have a great time!!!
M. G.
We went in a large group, which can be difficult to manage, but everything was perfect. Excellent food, and obviously the setting was fantastic, but what stood out for us the most was the level of service provided. Would highly recommend.
P. A.
Sophie's is always a good destination for lunch, a comprehensive menu and good views over the Dublin skyline as well as fast & attentive service mark it out as one of the better "fancy" venues. My personal fave dish, the chorizo and squid bolognaise, now seems to have been taken off the menu but hopefully it will return soon. Dessert menu also very good, recommended.
B. A.
great place for views a pint and a snack.
N. M.
I have been to Sophie's a couple of time. It is a really nice place with a great balcony and restaurant with an amazing 360 view of Dublin. They have wide range of beverages and great meal menu. I was here for dinner and tried their poached duck egg for starter that had a special added pomegranate seeds in compare to the menu. It was a great starter and flavours went well together beside the corn bread which was a bit too sweet. I ordered the calamari and chorizo bolognese for main. It was a little on the low side for calamari but still a nice dish. In total I recommend Sophie's for dinner or just a quiet night out.
R. J.
Nice view, bit on the pricey side, but both the food and the service are definitely of a higher standard than in the rest of Dublin so it makes up for it. Recommended.
S. F.
Great brunch spot and very relaxed atmosphere (and the beautiful views too!), food was really nice and service absolutely excellent (a lovely blonde Spanish lady served us, unfortunately didnt ask for her name). Big shout out to the Huevos Rancheros!
A. P. C.
Very nice atmosphere and very good pizza!
B. I.
Super afternoon here. Lovely food great rooftop experience and all in all a really fun place to visit. All the staff were really nice all day as well. Good cocktails too!
B. S.
Lovely ambiance the moment you step into the lobby, bettered only by a smashing view on the top floor, pleasant staff, great decor, perfect lighting, and tasty food. No better way to spend a late lunch on a Wednesday!
S. R.
Was there for a large group event, we had submitted our menu choices in advance only to be told on the night that we the kitchen had had been given the wrong choice or some such tripe. So not everyone got what they'd ordered. We were then given the choice to order from the menu on the night but it didn't have the same selection.. Don't large group bookings if you can't cater for them!
C. K.
Great restaurant. Food was amazing, menu succinct which is what you need I think, delivered expertly by great front of house team. Best place I've experienced in Dublin by a LONG way.
D.
Deeeeeeelicious. An excellent brunch that really went a long way to solving a hangover caused almost entirely by pretending to like Guinness. Lovely service, lovely food, lovely view, lovely decor, lovely vibe, lovely instagrammable swings upon entry, perfectly acceptable bill. Well done Sophie, you’ve smashed it.
E. G.
Delicious breakfast here and good views of the city. Worth calling / OpenTabling ahead for booth seating but was plenty of room for walk-ins when we came on a Tuesday AM. Had the full Irish and Eggs Benedict.
D. L. S.
Beautiful view and amazing brunch
S. S.
Friendly staff. Nice cocktail. Nice outside area.
K. B.
Absolutely gorgeous place with delicious food. Worth the price. Perfect experience and best brunch I've had in Dublin so far.
B. B.
Lovely Food well designed
A. L.
Great view over Dublin, lovely either for dinner or cocktails. Food is very tasty and atmosphere is great. A little pricey but with it!
J. M.
Lovely pizza and fantastic service. Highly recommended.
A. G.
Great views, mediocre food. Really wanted to love this place because the hotel, views and vibe are top notch. But it was really overpriced and very average brunch food. I would go back for a drink and the views but maybe not for a meal.
C. A.
Good Ambience, polite staff and some really good food. The DJ started playing music at 10:30 which added some nice vibes to it. Overall a really good place
P. S. C.
Sophie's is a good restaurant. If you go to Sophie's you can dinner at the same time that you can see the Dublin's skyline. You can eat a nice pizza or drink some cocktails. If you are planing to visit Dublin, you should to write down this restaurant in your map. 100% recommendable
E. L.
Cosy, nice atmosphere, food was really good in fine dining style. Staff was very busy and not present enough (had to wait to get drinks, had to wait to get food, had to wait for the bill...) and not very friendly... A bit of the low light of the evening compared to the rest!
J. H.
Beautiful views and nice setting. The brunch is great but I wouldn't recommend it for an evening meal. Our dinner was very overpriced and very average.
W. S. M.
Absolutely loved the place! Great location, amazing views and space, great staff, great music and the food is exquisite! Perfect for occasions, but make sure to book in advance for large groups :-) I will come back for sure!
E. M.
Good venue... Excellent views over the city... Good for parties... A little bit louder than your average restaurant so not really good for an intimate quiet dinner and a shade on the pricey side but good food...... Great selection of beers and cocktails.... Good restaurant with lovely food and drinks. Very good service. On the pricey side (mains start at €25). Nice views of Dublin cityscape.

Delicious food and amazing view! One of my favorite restaurants in Dublin, perfect for brunch and the best coffee I’ve tried in town.

Great view over Dublin and nice atmosphere. When staying in the Dean Hotel you're lucky, because it's on the top floor.
M. B.
Very nice place, very good breakfast, expensive

Amazing views and great atmosphere for lunch or dinner. The full Irish can be shared between two very generous portion. The brownie with nuts for dessert is a must.

Fantastic food and brilliant staff and lovely cocktails

Dining overlooking the city on itself is nice, but the food was amazing. Pricey but you get what you pay. If you want to sit outside, you definitely need to book in advance.
B. C.
Brilliant view with lovely food. An awesome place for early brunch or breakfast. Great cocktails at night with amazing food. Heartily recommended.
G.
Spacious rooftop bar with great views over the city. Good food. Drinks are fairly pricey but no surprise there.

They didn't have a table available so they organised for us to eat at the bar area..with lovely comfy high stools. Fantastic food (we got pizzas) and amazing view over the city!
K. L.
Great food and staff.

One of the best eggs Royale in Dublin!
H. H.
Friendly staff. View from inside is much nicer than on the terrace
S. B.
It's a café-restaurant and cocktail bar at the top of Dean hotel. You have an incredible view of Dublin. Breakfast and brunch are gorgeous ! Pancakes and egg "benedict" are amazing
D. A.
The food was delicious and the portions generous. Their pizzas come from their speciality stove, and honey glazed chicken was tender and juicy.
S. C.
A "place to be seen" with average views and bland food (came here for brunch and ordered the huevos rancheros which had more beans than anything else). Below average pint of Guinness (Devitt's across the road does a much better one). Forgettable experience.

A great place to take visitors for panoramic views of Dublin over brunch. The food was good (with large portions), and the service friendly.
T. H.
Amazing views of Dublin. Very nice cocktails. Not a cheap place and often very busy, but worth a visit to make up your own mind.

Lovely atmosphere, a lot of the staff were really nice and we had a good time. It just felt a bit hard for me personally to feel really comfortable

Booked for 830. Arrived early but could not get seat.
Finally got seated around 9.
This was on a Wednesday, quiet time. So be prepared for a wait.
Food was fine.

Bright space with a rooftop view of Dublin and a good buzz. Typical beer and wine selection. Very good pizza.
G. S.
Great food, really nice views. It's slightly on the expensive side but nothing extreme. Worth a visit. Good for dates or with mates.
J. M. L.
Great pizzas! I also had the antipasto which was very very good. The design of the room is such that it can be very very loud at times. Great choice in their menu
L. B.
Food was amazing. Night I as there was really busy so sometimes took a while for our waitress to come back around to us. Views where just wow.
S. R.
Great location and roof top dining.
L. T.
Gorgeous view. My friend sought out this place for me. My requirements were huge windows with something nice to look at. The mark was met and exceeded.
L. L.
Loved the view ,amazing stuff ,only wish that we got better seating.
C. H.
Nice place the food is not the best
G. S.
Fantastic views of the surrounding rooftops, rich drinks menu with whiskeys from Japan, Scotland, US, Canada, Ireland, plus craft beers. Best time to visit: sunset!

I was in here for a quick drink on a Saturday night in Dublin. Was nice enough with great views but not totally my scene. Check it out for your self though. They have a cool swing lol

Went for breakfast on a Thu. Excellent and empty. Staff was friendly. Same price as other breakfasts and great view! Go! It’s fun.
T. G.
Amazing food, staff and views!
N. B.
Great views over the city. Bar service was a bit slow but cocktails were very well made. Food was good.
D. S.
Good for older crowd. Would be a miss for people in their 20s. They serve pizza in the afternoon and on which is not really of my preference. Won't be going there for an afternoon antipasti anymore😂
F. T.
Great views, lovely staff. Average food. Bit too much of a 'bar vibe' for brunch
M. W.
It's a super nice view but food is average while priced very high
A. P.
Beautiful place, excellent people and atmosphere!
Terrible service, I received an answer when kindly I was giving back my drink from a twenty years old waitress,"it's what it's", referring to my drink, that I take it for years and was terrible.
T. A.
Just love this place! Amazing atmosphere, great cocktails, delicious food and friendly staff! I always go back!

Great evening. Such lovely staff, from the front of house manager, waitress and chefs, everyone was so pleasant. Thanks Laszlo. Great evening

Food is average so do not expect anything special. However it is totally worth going for the nice atmosphere and amazing view on Dublin!
M. V.
Good brunch and cool location. The rooftop restaurant as a bit of a hidden secret and has great views all over Dublin.
C. N.
Fantastic food mixed with top quality customer service from the staff topped off with a fantastic venue with stunning views.

Great night at Sophie's despite it being so busy no delay with the food and it was really good the monkfish and goats cheese starter was delicious fabulous views of the city👍

Perfect spot for dinner, we were nicely served and food was just incredible. Bartender Felipe is just the best in town, very entertaining and fast.

Nice food, wine and lovely ambience! A bit expensive but it’s ok for once in a while. Rooftop view looks pretty in pictures only. :P
