I went to the restaurant for a dinner and the atmosphere was really nice
The most important thing for me was how all staff were good and had attention to details. The food is tasty and the menu is short and I love that, make easier to choose.
L. A. S.
A splendid experience: an amazing building, a magnificent ambience, perfect dishes for a very reasonable price and the friendly, funny and adorable waitress Veronica serving on the upper floor. Of course we’ll be back there.

Dining in the past ! What fantastic history in this pub. The service is fantastic and professional you are well taken care of. The food is served fresh and excellent presentation. The place is just rich in history all over and every corner has a story to tell. The toilets are in the original bank vault. Fantastic experience all together.
J. T.
Nice pub, good food pleasant staff. I popped in for something to eat after a spot of Christmas shopping.
My first visit and it won't be my last.
Christmas decorations were fabulous, really atmospheric

We had a 24 hour layover in Dublin last week and happened to walk past the Bank on College Green at the perfect time for an early dinner. After being asked to show our vaccination certificates, we chose a corner table isolated by plexiglass screens, where we could safely take in the beauty of this stately old building. A pianist played Bill Withers and Nina Simone as I enjoyed crisp fish and chips, washed down with a Guinness. Perfect!
A. L.
Splendid ambience that did not disappoint. For the overall restaurant experience, it was good food at fair prices.
The monkfish was a fresh catch of the day, beautifully presented. Beetroot salad was on the small side (slightly underwhelming but that is expected of most restaurants serving appetiser salads). High recommend trying the ice cream for dessert — creamy perfection!

This is one of the few places I will fly out to in the morning from Valencia for lunch and fly back in the evening. I have been going to the Bank over the years for business meetings and with family for well over a decade, especially once they have their Christmas decorations up. I have yet to be disappointed with the food, and the waiters are top notch. Stellar price/quality ratio, and one of a kind environs. Reservations highly recommended or you'll be in the line that snakes around the outside. Thank you Verónica for making our most recent family holiday luncheon special, we look forward to come back again (and again, and again). Andrew

Third time in Dublin but first time going to The Bank on College Green and so glad I did! It's an absolutely stunning historic space complete with great food, service and even a pianist. Will definitely be back on future visits!

What a spot!! I've drank in The Bank many times, but this is the first time eating. We booked a large table on the balcony area above the bar, I would suggest you try get a table in this space.
Walking in it's the roof that draws the eye. The ceiling is quadruple height, with a beautifully restored stain glass light well. The menu is simple enough, steaks, burgers, pasta and seafood. Our group pretty much covered most on the menu, and the food was excellent. What stood out the most was the service. The lady who served us was excellent, highly efficient and very friendly - 10/10. The music and atmosphere were great, can't wait to go back.

Great place to have a drink before going to dinner or party, an old bank renovated in an exemplary way, looks beautiful, elegant and cozy, I loved it!

Great place to hangout. Nice staff , foods were nice.
L. P.
Food amazing, ambience amazing, building amazing....wait staff extremely polite but stretched a bit thin. Food not cheap but quality so worth the price.

One of my favourite places to take family who are visiting us in Dublin. Friendly staff, good service and tasty food. They do a great breakfast, lunch and dinner. They pour a good pint of Guinness. The decor is unique and something special for Dublin.
J. H.
First stop we made when visiting Dublin. I was nervous about sitting inside someplace to eat and drink but they were diligent about checking vaccination certs, the host even sat us in a back corner since I was nervous. I had the Flirtini which was delicious. The seafood chowder was also amazing. Can't recommend enough <3

Very nice place, super friendly staff and yummy food. By the way, try the ERDINGER draft, very good, crispy and fresh German wheat beer.
V. L.
Met 2 friends for lunch today. We were a little nervous so we booked for lunch at 1.30pm. The food and service were brilliant. We had a lovely waitress. Pleasant and efficient. We felt totally safe and our Covid passes were requested and inspected. Just brilliant. Thanks to you all for our lovely Christmas 🎄 and hope you all stay open and do well.
J. B.
Lovely atmosphere but totally Underwhelming food. Avoid the burger, they only serve it well done, dry and flavorless. Other dishes ordered, flavor didn't stack up to menu descriptions. Not an awful meal, maybe nice to pop in for a drink, but otherwise won't be back.
K. A.
Nice pub / restaurant, good food and a cool variety of beers and whiskeys. Nice and friendly staff, not a tourist trap.
M. S.
Customer service is great, staff are extremely friendly. For the price we paid, I expected more from the quality and quantity. Some breakfast items came stone cold. Toast was cold, the butter a block that could hardly be spread, kids grew impatient and didn't bother touching their 2 sausages and toast (each) that cost €7.50! I know this is centre of Dublin prices, but that's a robbery by The Bank.
A. C.
I had such a great meal! The location is amazing and so is the food. I got the 1/2 chicken and veggies with gravy and stuffing which was delicious! My partner had the burger, fabulous meal. Even if they were very busy because of the all ireland final the staff was still very nice and fast. This place is a little gem, worth going for the atmosphere and obviously their food.
M. A.
Really nice place close to trinity college on college green. Really friendly staff. Same
Prices as in other pubs
E. K.
Couldn't recommend this place highly enough. The food and the cocktails were excellent!
J. D.
Fantastic staff amazing food my regular Sunday place
s. b.
Perfect place for brunch. High quality food, relaxed atmosphere, great service.
M. B.
Very good bar, right next to the university in a former bank in a historic building.
International dishes and a few Irish dishes invite you to dine. The oysters are also recommended here. Good selection of drinks.
S. J.
Amazing venue, delicious food, great service. Have the fish and chips.
A. C.
A former bank now bar where you can have a bite, menu is quite limited but quality of food very good, and not expensive, considering its Dublin.
Staff members very nice especially David at the bar 😊 he is new so treat him well with tips, if he is around of course.
Toilets an amazing experience, you can see the old vaults on your way, massive metal doors. Gone the days where you held gold 😂
I'll definitely go again.
A. S.
We popped in for a quick mid week bite and a drink. Menu is small but just about right. Fish and chips was nicely cooked and the chowder was piping hot. Nothing to give out about!
M. M.
Wonderful staff, super sweet and accomodating. ❤️
Oysters were fantastic!
c. r.
We had dinner here on Saturday for a friends birthday, and it was the perfect place. The food was delicious, every one of us said how good our meal was. We were seated in a semi private dining area, next to the fire. It was the absolute perfect setting for a chilly night. The staff were amazing, especially Danieska, I hope I’ve spelled that right, who was so attentive and brought my friend a lovely bit of cheesecake with a candle for her birthday. I’d highly recommend this place for food or even just drinks. Thanks for making it a great night!
T. S.
Had a wonderful dinner here last night. Great service, delicious food and beautiful atmosphere! I enjoyed their vegetarian soup and tagliatelle pasta. My husband loved the mussels and lamb shank. Good wine too.
B. J.
Gorgeous interiors. Exceptional service. Oysters were fresh and briny - housemade cocktail sauce was delicious. Chicken liver pate was sumptuous. Had to get going or would have liked to try main dishes.
B. S.
Lovely spot for a lunch! Visited today with friends and will be back again. Had Bank's Salad, which was gorgeous and fresh, portion size ideal - chicken and halloumi were grilled to perfection! Really assured with health and safety check at the entrance. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and her customer service skills were fantastic (sorry I didn't get her name, she served us upstairs and made small talk that put us at ease immediately). The place was not crowded, glass screens separating tables were clean, as were the tables and place in general. Soft music playing in the background, but not disrupting our conversation. I was very excited to be able to go out in my lunch break again and eat indoors and was not disappointed by my visit. Wholeheartedly recommend this place!
c. m.
We had a turkey and ham dinner here today. Food and drink was excellent. Staff were lovely we had a 16 month old and they were so accommodating.
M. D.
WOW! The best in class Cosmopolitan in All World ! Highly recommended !!!
C. P.
This restaraunt is absolutely beautiful and full of Irish history. The food is very good, the fish is wonderfully fresh. It's a little difficult to get the check once it gets busy but overall good service.
F. a. F.
This restaurant promises a lot but fails to deliver. The service is slow and the food average quality. I had fair higher expectation for this location. Set. In downtown Dublin and just a block from temple bar this restaurant built in an old bank is beautiful. It lacks in follow through and meeting the standards the location creates.
Y. C.
LOVE IT, I had every meal here during my 3 days stay. I went along, the staff still taking care of me rather than focus on group customers, so impressed by their service standard. It's a super busy place but they manage to be Super friendly and quick !!
Tired ★chowder soup, recommended by my friend, was the best! Creamy, lot's seafood in the pot, with Irish bread.. I'll visit Dublin just for this soup !!
Then I had ★burger, giant volume, the bread is unique, a bit like scone(not light brioche)so tasty.
★Sunday roast beef, this is the first time I've been served not-burned Yorkshire pudding ! Seriously many restaurant treat it without heart. This one is so light and you can really taste egg ; beef very tender, root vege so sweet.... all perfect yet cost 20% less than what you'll have in London.
Irish coffee , for me the alcohol is a bit strong side, definitely love it ! With a chocolate on side, what else you can ask for ?
No need to say the gorgeous interior decorations( I've shared over 20 photos showing my love of this place) It's a treat just sit in. (Sometimes they got live piano performance)
Next time I'll avoid Saturday night (too noisey) , In the morning should be able to have aquiet personal time there.
S.
The place is amazing! Awe inspiring and very unique. Had some cocktails which were really good and very reasonably priced. Food was quite good and very nicely presented. Service was very good and welcoming. Really relaxed atmosphere and highly recommended
E. Y.
Beautiful location, setting and very nice food.
This one-time bank definitely lives up to its hype. The bar has loads to offer and the menu is simple and tasty. It’s a place we visit often.
A. M.
I stop be here every time I come to Dublin. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is just too good to miss. Though I normally order the fish and chips (I personally believe they’re some of the best in the city) I went with the catch of the day this time. Our server said it was monkfish and there was only one left, without even looking at the rest of the menu I told her I wanted that dish.
She quickly left our table and came back a minute later to tell me it was reserved. When it arrived and I tasted it, I can honestly saw it’s some of the best fish I’ve ever tasted and definitely the best meal I had in Dublin. My date ordered the slow roasted pork belly and it was divine as well. We ended with the raspberry Eton mess and OMG that is seriously one of the best desserts I’ve ever had! It melted in your mouth and was literally a delight in every bite!
Lastly, our Czech waiter (whose name I sadly missed) was an absolute pleasure! From the beginning she was attentive and super kind (even complimenting my laugh :) she honestly made the experience wonderful! If I could give 6/5 stars I would!
Do not miss stopping here if you’re in Dublin!

Voted one of Irish best pub and we could understand why. Vibrant crowd in a historic, beautiful building. High vaulted glass ceilings, elegant chandeliers, central bar surf seatings on both sides. Plenty of dining area, though there is still a wait on a Sunday night. Recommend it’s oysters and beer battered fish and chips.
S. S.
One of the finest pubs in Dublin. Beautiful interior and interesting story behind the building. The food is a bit pricy but very nice. Great selection of drinks and brilliant cocktails.
S. s.
A must in Dublin, beautiful building. This old bank has been transformed into a chic but affordable restaurant. Great service and menu.
Tips: you can make a reservation for dinner but only for 630pm or 830pm. We went at 730pm and waited 15min. Hit the bar and enjoy a pre-drink.
j. n.
Very grandiose place, cocktails 🍸 are nice average €12.
Didn't have food...staff are very attentive.
S.
Had an amazing lunch while staying in Dublin for two days. The Bank was recommend by a friend who visited Dublin in the past, he never went in to have lunch or diner but he loved the inside of the restaurant. It’s an amazing building first of all, it’s very impressive when you walk in. The staff of most kind and supportive, there in for a talk and give great advise about the menu and the wines. The girl who helped me had a lot of knowledge about food and wine paring so that was a party for me. Enjoyed a 3 course lunch and it was amazing. I can highly recommended it and I’m going to be back one day to enjoy dinner there.
Ps. Even if you don’t have to go.......go downstairs to visit the toilets
N. S.
A very nice fancy place with good food. The service was perfect, our waitress was very nice and attended us when we needed her. My friends and I had a great time there!!
m. p.
I was so shocked that this place located in the very centre of Dublin, being super hyped among tourists can have such an excellent service! The chowder is a must! Honestly the seafood pasta was as good as in Italy (no offense Italian folks). The service is fast, the crew is nice. It's a frequented place, but as soon as you get seated you don't even notice the crowd. True love!
s. o. c.
Very enjoyable experience, food was delicious, but we really enjoyed relaxing listening to all the beautiful tunes being played on the piano. We will most definitely be back
L. G.
Stunning bar with great menu at surprisingly decent prices
J. H.
The restaurant was beautifuly decorated, and made me feel like I had walked back into time. A bit crazy to think that this was once a bank. When you head to the basement (where the toilets are) you'll notice the old bank vaults. I was there for dinner and the seafood chowder, mussels and pork belly were good. My friend and I both were not fans of the seafood linguini -- the salmon and shrimp were overcooked to the point where both were hard. Other then that, the service was great and everything else tasted great!
N. B.
Seafood chowder was, as many have noted, truly outstanding. Its priced as a starter but was in fact filling enough to work as a main meal.
Interesting grandiose venue. Maybe a tad stuffy and formal.
k. w.
In Love with this place. Must visit the interior is beautiful.
E. R.
Trending and vibrant restaurant and bar. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was also tasty. Definitely would recommend a visit here. Warning the cocktails are very strong. :-)
N. S.
Fantastic place... with a very warm atmosphere. Nice for relaxing after a busy day in Dublin. The sandwiches were superb and the beer was equal. Nice also for an afternoon tea near the fireplace... I'll be back! 👍😉
S. K.
The Bank is phenomenal! The setting, the staff, the food: I don't have enough adjectives and exclamation marks to describe how great this place is. I had the porridge which was the best I've ever had. My daughter had eggs Benedict, also the best ever.
M. T.
Awesome pub in what was originally a bank. The toilets are in the old vault, amazing! Great selection of drinks and reasonably priced compared to the rest of Dublin!
A. L.
Top service and food !!!!
Great restaurant !!!!
J. D.
Have been to Banc several times, great food and Guinness in a wonderfully preserved old bank. Prices are very reasonable given its great central location.
S. B.
A lovely bar - a converted bank. I always take visiting friends here. The food is quite good - I like the seafood platter. Only reason 4 stars not 5 is that the restaurant staff aren't the best - weren't that friendly.
S. C.
Stunning setting, though God help you if you want a seat during peak hours. Their fried black pudding bites are incredibly good and can be ordered a la carte even though they are not not on the menu. So good with strong English mustard.
W. A.
Superb venue, outstanding staff, love grand piano by an exceptional artist, excellent food and the Guinness will steal your soul, but in a good way!!
A. G. I.
Great place to have dinner with a crowd, food is really good and you'd expect it would cost more than it does. Drinks are fantastic too and it has lovely atmosphere. Prepare to book with anticipation though. Only downside was that they took way too long to get our dishes ready (over an hour).
A. L. (.
Excellent place, lively, and vibrant. The staff were beyond belief, polite, versatile, quick, open from Ireland, Poland, Slovakia! Yes a must go if you vusit Dublin!!
T. W.
Nice atmosphere, nice staff, amazing food and reasonable pricing. Absolute a place to try and to enjoy it.
M. H.
Beautiful ambiance, tourist pricing, & good food. Soup & sandwich were €10 which seemed quite fair, especially when we saw how fresh it was. Drinks were a little overpriced but consider the location and it seems to make sense. Would I go back? I did... and brought two friends! Service was friendly, attentive and not overbearing.
A. K.
Great for drinks. The atmosphere was elegant. If you venture downstairs to the bathrooms you can see the old vaults.
B. J.
I visited this place a week ago with my friends. The interior is very impressive and not something you see everyday. The staff was very friendly and the food and drinks were served pretty quick.
I ordered the fish and chips. It was OK but nothing special. There is a large selection of beers and the atmosphere was relaxt.
I would recommend to visit this place but only for the bar. The food was OK and looked really fresh but the taste wasn't that special.
A. J.
Necessary to reserve a table, Covid-19 regulations and precautionary measures in effect. Table service only ie no ordering at the bar. Nice decor, wide range of draught beer available.
F.
Unexpected place! Unusual fancy pub restaurant!! Good and well presented food! Lovely beers! Nice staff! Price quality top!
T. C.
Beautiful interior. Covud secure measures in place. Disturbing comment from lady on the door when one of our party presented his UK nhs covid passport: 'you don't own us anymore '. He's Irish. I wonder why she said that.
E. C.
Gorgeous pub with dining area serving amazing lamb platter for sharing. The decor is stunning and live piano performance is great!
C. f.
What a delightful place! Just stumbled across this lovely bar after landing at airport and getting bus into the city. The building itself or wonderously decorative with high golden ceilings. There was a piano being played (very lovely music) and staff welcoming you at the door. A copy of the historic book The Kells was on show too. After finding a table we were greeted with "Fáiltíonn míle" meaning "a thousand welcomes" and shown the amazing menu for cocktails and food, which were both delicious!
G. D.
Great atmosphere, friendly attentative staff and lovely food. Highly recommend this place..
M. M. M.
Beautiful building with very friendly staff, and great food.
M. L.
Gorgeous bar/restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. I really loved visiting and the food was great, with a wide selection on the menu. We were seated by the small hearth in the corner near the entrance which was a lovely spot. I'd recommend going here for a lovely date or a nice dinner.
F. I.
Amazing atmosphere, classy, elegant Victorian interior. Food is good and served with a smile.
E. G.
Seafood chowder here is one of the tastiest in Dublin, place is very nice the architecture and high ceilings are fantastic and well preserved. Service always very accommodating and staff very efficient.
A. P.
Great Mussels. What a treat in a delicious sauce. Very interesting dessert. Nice choice of wines. Beautiful decor.
P. S.
Really enjoyed our meal here. Very pleased to see covid vaccine passes requested on entry.
A. S.
The atmosphere alone makes The Bank on College Green worth a visit; it is absolutely gorgeous inside. I sat at the bar on a cold blustery day and received excellent service. The tea service was lovely, as was the fish and chips. I will make sure to stop inwhenever I pay Dublin a visit .
J. A.
Beautiful bar establishment right in city centre. Prices are decent and staff are friendly. They also create here mocktails.
M. H.
Nice atmosphere and tasty well presented food. I'd recommended everything pictured
M. F.
Terrific pub with great staff and warm ambience. This place is the Titanic of Irish Pubs. Started with Seafood Chowder and followed it up with the traditional pub fav (Fish and Chips). Wife had the steam mussels in a delicious cream sauce. Live music.
Recommend reservations for top of the house. You will not be disappointed.
Cheers.
G. H.
Had a lovely meal. Food excellent. Service first class. Staff excellent. Strongly recommend.
D. C.
Great place to have a quick meal. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We watched England v Sweden in 2018 World Cup semifinals. Oysters and Guinness hit the spot. Fries always compliment every meal.
J. P.
Yummy, pork & potatoes finished with brownie & ice cream. Surroundings were beautiful and service was outstanding.
Great celebration on our last night in Dublin.

Super opulent but the food is not overpriced. I got a full Irish breakfast and ate (almost) all of it. Lots of food and great toasted bread.

First time on New Year's Eve, usually a bad day to evaluate restaurants... And what a surprise, we stayed at the Managers Room, the food was delicious, I had a perfectly cooked slow roast pork belly, and my wife a risotto that was spot on. The waitress that served us was lovely and funny, she knew how to set the mood. Overall experience, 5 stars, will go back for sure.
L. T.
We had our xmas work dinner here and the food was amazing ♥️

Great ambiance and great food: steak was perfect!
J. L.
This has to be one of the most beautiful restaurants I've ever been to.
H. B.
Loved the place and the ambience!
P. R.
If you are looking for someone playing a piano, an open fire and a good atmosphere on a Friday evening then this place is for you. Very centrally located in the centre of Dublin, it is always busy. It would be recommended to book a table during busy periods, even if you are only having drinks. They have a good whiskey selection that is competitively priced compared to other city centre pubs.
B. C.
Fantastic establishment! First time there last night and wasnt sure what to expect but, just brilliant. The staff are amazing. Best I've come across! Cant wait until I return! 🙂
M. B.
Fantastic place to grab some food!
My fiance and I happened in on accident, we ducked into the lobby when is started raining and noticed the menu. I'm glad we did!
The waiters were attentive and stopped by often to check on us. The food was delicious and there was a lot to choose from. We had the goat cheese tart, caprese salad, seafood pasta & sun-dried tomato pasta - all fantastic choices!
M. B.
Great food and atmosphere with a lovely staff.
A. B.

It's a beautiful place to enjoy your time with friends and have a dinner. The piano bar was incredible and the prices was good. If you want to have a dinner is better book a table at least 3 hours before.

The Bank on College Green has an amazing atmosphere, particularly when there is live music. The food is incredible, I would highly recommend the Seafood Chowder
B. L.

This is for sure some of the best food in Dublin! Also a great whiskey selection
L. W.
Beautiful place, lovely food and very nice staff.
N. F.
Great Architecture. Good service. Good food.
B. C.
Arrive around 1430 and were seated w/o a reservation, could only stay approximately an hour due to limited seating (C-19 issues) and other reservations to honor post 1600. Had a very nice late lunch/early dinner. We each ordered a different entrée, beef pie, turkey and ham on dressing, and fish and chips. No one had any complaints. Service was quick/attentive and accurate. Very happy with The Bank.
L. H.
Exquisite indoor scenery, super waitress, amazing food.
N. D.
Impressive bar in a wonderful building, beautiful christmas decoration, nice drinks & beers. I would recommend it to every Dublin visitor.. It is a bit posh ;)
p. h.
Spacious well designed establishment with very friendly well trained staff.

I am biased my watering hole for as long as I can remember. Go there yourself to understand why
t. 1.
Great food and service! Was so festive
A. S.
Great Sunday Roast. Delicious Bloody Mary, and all drinks that walked by look fantastic. Fish and chips were light, with a good piece of meat in them. Happy with whole meal.
M. J.
Nice restaurant, and pretty good food. I think my steak sandwich, although good tasting, was missing the top bun. It's not a sandwich with one piece of bread.
B. V. d. B.
Nice bar with live piano music. More than 10 beers on tap. Cocktails, whisky... beautiful interior.
W. B.
There is a reason this place has awards, great food, awesome bar and great staff
J. M.
Beautiful original interior, great service and ambience. My only complaint would be the fact that I could barely est the hamburger because it wss too thick!!!
p.
Very stylish place to sit in but prices as anywhere around Dublin. Recommend
A. S.
Beautiful interior, nice service and The best fish&chips in Dublin 😉
T. O.
Was very impressed! They weren't taking reservations which I found odd and just told us to chance coming in. Service was really great, particularly our server. Didn't quite catch her name but she had piercings and even complemented my friends outfit. I got soup and the lamb shank. I personally didn't like the parsnip soup but I feel it's just my palate and the lamb was a little under-seasoned hence not the 5 star review but was still good. Would be back again!

This is a must visit for the atmosphere, with great food, and great service. Will be back again before we leave Dublin.
K. V.
Very surprised at the quality of ingredients on the menu. Good honest food made with irish source produce. Really impressed
A. H.
An old bank in Dublin made as a restaurant with great atmosphere and great local food. They also have a wide selection of beers and ciders.
박.
Historical place with kind staffs. Can't say that it was the best food but great atmosphere and decent beer.
T. R.
It's worth popping in here just for it's stunning decor and outstanding espresso Martinis. Busy on the weekends with an older crowd, it is a perfect spot for a midweek date or drink with the parents.
S. E. -. S.
Amazing atmosphere in the mezzanine. Slightly higher prices.
Live piano plays world classics.
L. G.
The food is excellent and the staff are great. I had the steak Diner there and I have to say it was the nicest tasting Steak I have had in yeas. It was done to perfection and the price’s are very reasonable. I would highly recommend the Bank for good food and atmosphere.
C. L.
The atmosphere inside the restaurant is good and the food is delicious.
D. T.
Great architecture, nice ambiance with live piano music. Food is more than ok for a touristy place like this.
Check the bathrooms, very interesting setting.
M. L.
Very beautiful place. A little overpriced but the scenic location is very effective.
M. S.
Good food and gorgeous atmosphere. It'll be busy on big sporting event nights, however, really fun vibe to have a few pints!
M. D.
Very nice Victorian style bar ! Spotted it while walking pass, was a great surprise inside! We had some drink(4/5euro) , very cozy
r. g.
this place has a great atmosphere! its very crowded and there is a bit of wait to get a table. we sat at the top floor and the place is so cool and beautiful, there was a pianist who was very good and gave the place extra charm. I had the chowder it was yummy but heavy so for me its a main not an appetizer. its not a big menu but worth the visit for sure.
M. A.
We had a lovely meal here. The setting is wonderful, elegant and relaxed at the same time. The staff was warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in - with no reservation on a very busy night. The food was first rate - everthing from what we consider pub grub to a full meal. The pork belly was outstanding. The pricing was more than fair given what we had. We will go back there.
A. F.
Oh, wow!!! What an amazing place! The atmosphere was unreal. The service was outstanding. The food was absolutely delicious!!! The pork belly was divine! Highly recommend. 3 different people in Dublin told us we should go, so we did and were not sorry one bit! Made for a great last night to our 3 week to!
L. P.
Great atmosphere with a really safe setup. Food was amazing
C. D.
A beautiful evening 🥰 in the Bank on College Green tonight. Service was great and food was delicious. It was an evening with our sons and partners we all so looked forward to it and had a lovely evening and all felt safe and had a fun gathering ♥️ thank you
J. P.
Great service, great food, great atmosphere
M. M.
Good food and good pints.
T. B.
Tasty food and very friendly and caring staff!
D. H. K.
Beautiful restaurant and delicious food at reasonable prices. Definitely worth a visit.
柯.
Nice foods in a fancy restaurant with a proper prices. But hope the oyster can be larger.
L. G.
Beautiful place with good food and decent service
Y. L.
Great atmosphere
Nice food
J. N.
Absolutely top notch! The service and the food are incredible and well priced (even better than the dive bars nearby) considering the location. Make sure to have the Irish cheese platter. From the ceiling to the floors to the walls, the interior is exquisite. They had a person playing the piano. We were blown away by how amazing it was.
L. Q.
Great food, atmosphere, staff and the pianist was phenomenal.
P. S.
Very nice ,very friendly and helpful staff, great service
D. B.
Great Irish breakfast and great atmosphere. Music sounded like I was waiting at the gates to heaven though
G. T.
Loved it. The food & drink were lovely. Such a beautiful building and to top it off a piano being played
T. T.
Fantastic service from the moment you enter...every staff member exceptionally trained. Food beautifully presented, fresh and temperature appropriate. Nice bar selection and good knowledge of the local whiskey and craft beer scene. Highly recommend.
G. F.
Excellent food and service...the surroundings are luxurious...Will be back
A. W.
Fish and chips great! Gorgeous decor. Real original features. Very attentive staff. Have passed this place loads of times and never went in before. Lunch menu soup and sandwiches only €11. Well worth a visit. Will make this my regular lunch spot in Dublin. Really good.
M. L.
This place is amazing. Beautiful on the inside, delicious food and a real good price for everything.
M. J.
My favourite spot in town beautiful building and food very reasonable staff lovely, love at Christmas especially
M. F.
we went to this place a couple of times, usually before going for dinner somewhere else.
The place is really stunning. It is really nice to sit by the bar and see the all the decoration.
They have a huge selection of drinks. We stuck mostly to beer, although the cocktails they were serving looked tasty. As for food, we had some oysters, which were delicious. The rests of the food looked good as well.
Service is very attentive. You could see the were a lot of regulars, who would sit at the bar and get greeted by the waiters. I can see why they would come back.
D. C.
With many places operating on reduced menus, there's a sameness appearing on all of them. Get thinking beyond burgers, fish'n'chips !
That said we enjoyed a timed but tasty visit here ,with appropriate distancing and great staff interaction. Music good but a tad too loud for conversation.

It has been a long time since I visited The Bank . As you enter the hallway through the large doors , the oppulant surroundings high ceiling as if your entering a papal museum .
It was a bank of no expense sparred in decor before it became a fine restaurant and bar .
I was greeted by a welcoming member of staff . I was explained their covid procedures and shown to my table upstairs, from then on the service was second to none , I just felt so comfortable and relaxed .
The menu has plenty of choice and a good wine selection, at fair pricing. The covid panels between each table gave it a snug feeling and intimacy .
The food was excellent. Can not fault anything but . The cheese board should state for a one person serving . And Edinger beer comes from Germany not USA .
I highly recommend you book in advance and enjoy wonderful food and pampering .
It's spotless as you walk on the polished floors to the toilets . Where again it is spotless.
The experience was worth every penny .
The best cocktails are served here which I don't think is well know .
But believe me you must try .
Well done to all at the bank .
J. N.
We have lunch here at least once a week. Exceptional customer experience every visit. The food is of excellent quality. As a non-alcoholic drinker one would appreciate that the Diet-Coke be larger than a wee bar size mixer bottle, especially given the price. You are sitting with people who are drinking large pints for €0.50 to €1 more than your tiny non-alcoholic choice.
Thank you for the consistent professional and friendly service.
J. S.
The staff is amazing! Our waitress, the host, and other wait staff were incredible. I think though, you're paying for ambiance over quality. The drinks are great and definitely over priced. The food is only ok for the amount you spend. Overall it was a beautiful place to sit down and have some foods, but probably should have been a little less $$.
M. C.
Perfect setting. Beautiful location. Easy to find and get to and easy to get home. So central. Brilliant service and superb food. This establishment is a credit to the owner. I would recommend it to anyone with taste. I could not find fault in any way. Drinks were top class and the food was up with the best. Prices were in line with city centre prices.
E. N.
One of the best spots in Dublin. I loved sitting next to the fire to have a Guinness and spot of food. Wonderful service, good food, beautiful spot
A. T.
Really lovely spot which gathers a crowd due to interior and location but is more than a tourist favorite... the food and service are really really good. The coffee was a little bitter for my taste otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed my mini breakfast, served with sourdough toast. Will be back to try the lunch or dinner here some time! Tip: they serve breakfast until 12 noon during the week and I noticed some flexibility on this for those ordering a little after 12 which is always amazing when you’ve been late to get the day started!
e. g.
Food outrageously yummy. Great salads and a unique space in which to enjoy drinks and a good meal.
S. S. P. Ó. L.
Nice tranquil bar among the busy street that is the historic Dame street/College Green. Very enjoyable experience and nice food and drink. Good for a meal or just a pint. Inside is very decorative as it would have been a very ornate bank in its day and has seven busts of the executed leaders of the Easter Rebellion which is worth taking notice of. Apart from the prices this would've gotten 5 stars. Great spot.
I. G.
Unique place downtown. A former bank transformed into a pub/restaurant, but keeping the original flavour. Food is nice and well prepared, healthy generally speaking, in a good Irish and Mediterranean combination. Beers are good and wine is a bit overpriced. I really enjoy this place when I am back in Dublin!
M. S.
Very good food and great service.bit price but the quality is worth it. Sceneries is very nice but the place was bit crowded too (very loud)
V. A.
Great place, good food
k. k.
Everything was great!! Food, Service ambience, and crowd!!
P. N.
Fantastic food & atmosphere definitely will be back.
J. G.
Elegant surroundings, Knowledgeable friendly staff! Great craft cocktails, Delicious food!
P. F.
Creamy Guinness, great service
P. M.
Fantastic visit yet again, the staff are first class and the building speaks for it's self. If you visit Dublin its a MUST visit.
M. M.
I really like this bar. Good staff and service. Good selection of beer and wine. The food is affordable and some of the specials they do are fantastic. Nice atmosphere with a live pianist from time to time and a lovely balcony up top over looking the ground floor. It's called the bank for obvious reasons and if you don't want to queue for the real book of Kell's they have a exact replica just inside the main door. Ticks all the boxes everytime I visit.
S. N.
It's a great restaurant in a stunning old bank building and has a replica if the Book of Kells.
M. D.
It's a little touristy and people file in and out taking photos of the beautiful building but bottom line it's worth a visit. The food is great and they have a wonderful selection of craft beers. Tried the goat cheese and avocado on toast, absolutely amazing.
c. k.
You cannot visit Dublin and miss the bank restaurant, it is very fancy and very tasty. It was originally a real bank, and the interior is kept more or less the same, it is very big, the food is so good and they have a big selection of drinks. I visited it 4 times and I would go there every time I go to Dublin. PS reservation is recommended.
T. L.
Lovely place with live piano music and great food and drinks!
T. R.
Quite expensive, but the place deserves it. The best Irish coffee I ever tasted.
a. d.
Great location, very good service and friendly staff.we had chowders, lamb, burgers and fish&chips. Everything was very well done, cooked well, tasty and in good size. We'll be back.
J. H.
Good pub grub and a great atmosphere
B.
Nice place, good service, food was ok but nothing too special.
A. R.
It's not my type of "drinkin' hole". It's so modern and brash. It very popular with others and tourists alike. I have eaten here, the food is good, well priced as is the drink. The staff are friendly and courteous and the place is spotless throughout. 'cant knock it in any way except that it's too airy for my liking.
S. H.
Good food in a wonderful setting right in the heart of Dublin. The decor and live piano adds to it's charm immensely.
D. D.
Amazing place. Amazing experience! Just perfect.
A. S.
Fantastic place. Food is really good... but be more adventurous than the burger. Had carbonara and it was delicious. Flavours really well done.
The ambience is great... set in an old bank with open fires. Even the loos have vaults and cool things. Really recommended! I have a nut allergy and they were fine with that too
O. O.
Food was superb, some of the best in Dublin
Z. T.
Love this place and the food is delicious!
M. G.
Lovely place, nice atmosphere and excellent food. I went there to meet some friends at lunch time and the service was fast and friendly. I had a nice and big sandwich, nice chips. All was perfect, I would recommend and I definitely go back to have dinner or lunch again.
D. O.
Great bar staff...fantastic looking bar..
V. B.
Beautiful place, playing American music. Nice beer and cheese platter was delicious.
K. M.
Well worth a visit. Good food. Great selection of drinks. Fabulous interior on account of the buildings original function as a bank. Can be difficult sometimes to get a seat. Live piano music on occasion is gorgeous. Good atmosphere.
B. D.
Beautiful place, and very nice staff. Sunday Roast was good, not great.
M. B.
Beautiful atmosphere and good food. The fish and chips was delicious, but the vinegar came in this tiny bottle that didn't have enough and was messy to use. Warning: They're lemonade is nothing like American lemonade. It's sparkling, garnished with an orange slice and mint, and didn't really taste like lemon.
P. B.
I got the soup of the day and it was lovely with some really nice crusty bread. But the main course ,a stake sandwich was quite Chewie , there seemed to be a lot of gristle. I didn't think much of it, wouldn't get it again. Service was very friendly and polite.
P. D.
Stopped in for a coffee what a gorgeous place to have some food and drinks. The building itself is worth going in to. Service was really quick and friendly. Will defiantly be going back.
B. K. (.
Old bunk building and now pub. Cool idea
a. k.
Food was superb.
D. M. M.
Very nice place. The food was ok. Don't get the burger, though.
G. M.
What a stunning building.
Such warm hospitality.
Excellent food including high quality real vegetarian choices.
Generous portions.
Service excellent
Setting and location by Trinity were so easy to access.
You will spend quite some time looking up. Ceilings are stunning.
Historical basement, do make time.
Heading back later in July.
A. K.
Nice place. Prices are OK and not different from other places in the city center really. Good one to start the night with your friends.
G. P.
Really nice bar, and awesome ambiance. You do feel like you are drinking at the bank. Food is ok, but really not enough for 5 🌟. We had fish and chips and chips were really hard and dry. My wife had a steak and it was dry and had no taste. I would recommend it for a drink and appetizer.
N. S.
Best Pint of Guinness hands down in Ireland, and this is coming from a Kerryman. Great fish and chips. Love the Republican theme. The place was a former bank, and is very classy. Great bar service. Was very busy, but manager looked out for two stools for us to eat. Will definitely be back to this place when I fly into Dublin. My wife and I give this place 5 stars each! Well done!
O. S.
Been here numerous times for brunch, food and service are perfect always happy to come again
E. v. d. B.
Amazing chowder! We didn't love the fish and chips but it was OK. The service was very good.
A. B.
We ducked in out of the rain for a quick coffee, but the food looked so good we decided to stay for lunch. Mouth watering steak sandwich with home made fries, it was delicious. Lovely friendly waitress, there was a guy playing the piano, nice atmosphere.
P. L.
I came here today for my graduation ceremony lunch. We spent a wonderful time at The Bank. The online reservation was an easy process. We had the best table on the mezzanine, the food was delicious and the service was just perfect: Many kind attentions! I hugely recommend this place If you want to spend a great moment with your family!
A. C.
I found here quite nice, the decor, history and architecture is stunning and worth visiting for that alone. The girl who was serving me was so lovely, she was chatting about the book I was reading and it was really pleasant to have a waitress that friendly. However, and this is a pet hate of mine, when a manger stood near by she snapped to attention and ran off. It’s important to take time with the customers if they are enjoying a chatty staff member while the place is not too busy. This adds a personal touch and keeps people coming back.
As far as the food is concerned, I had the coronation chicken sandwich and it was ok. It didn’t have much flavour to it.
I would definitely go there for a drink and to take in the beautiful surroundings, however I would not be that interested in ordering food there again.
V. A.
Cozy place with large selection of drinks and tasty food.
G. B.
The decor of this place is pretty cool and kind of takes your breath away the first time you see it. There's sometimes a piano player tickling the ivory in one of the corners which is a nice touch. Their cocktails are nice. Staff are attentive and friendly.
L.
Nice place to eat. Very good meal and Guiness
C. y. B. R.
Amazing pub!! And all staff treated us nicely. Waitress helped me to choose a beer and it was a great choice. You must have a walk around that place. It is full of surprises , even in the toilets. Great place to hang out and not crowded on a Sunday night.
D.
Beautiful food, surroundings and service
D. D.
Great selection, great food, amazing service and stellar atmosphere. Perfect for a first date where you can hear each other or a work do with 40 people. Always love coming here. Fascinating history of the place too, evident on the trip to the bathroom.
E. B. C.
Amazing site in Dublin!!
Great beers!!
F. B.
Nice food, got the lamb and my girlfriend the pork belly, both were really cooked properly and nice flavor balance among the ingredients...
The place is really beautiful and and fancy.
A bit pricey but it worth it to me
F. A.
I like the atmosphere. It is calm and cosy. A change from the typical bars in the area.
N. M.
Grand and beautiful venue reminiscent of a Prague pre-concert bar or restaurant somehow which literally has toilets in the vaults. No joke- I was weeing right next to a huge safe. The food was great and good value too. Nothing fancy or anything but a brilliant seafood chowder caught the palate. Seriously surprised it was so quiet and reasonable and tasty given its location. Kudos!
M. D.
Very nice restaurant. It used to be a bank and so the interior is simply terrific. It was chosen as best Irish bar for several years. The waitresses were willing to help with choice of both the meals and beer and their choice was good.
S. D.
Superb!!! We had been on Norwegian spirit cruise which was hell for us. We came to this restaurant for a drink and as well change my baby nappy. The people here were with the most warmest smile and kindness that I felt so welcomed after a very bad day.they offered the best with the most warmth. Thank you so much guys.
M. K.
Honestly food was so so, I had a pork plater. Live piano music was great and bartenders knowledge & love about Irish whiskey was awesome. Went on Monday for dinner, pretty empty and was able to get seated with a large group without a reservation.
h. b.
Great pub with beautiful high ceilings. This was the royal bank of Ireland and it's interesting to see the old vaults downstairs. Great selection of food and drink. I would have given it 5 stars but some of the barman were somewhat unfriendly.
C. R.
Great atmosphere. Lovely gastro foods. Service is friendly without being overly intrusive. The decor is amazing with the roof and glass work. Walk around the bar and read the history of the bar/bank/area on the walls.
H. C.
Lovely bar inside of an old bank. Good whiskey selection as well which is a must when you're in Ireland. The whiskey is smoother here because of an old malt tax the British imposed on the Irish that the Irish wanted to avoid. Drinks are a little more expensive than other bars in the area and this place feels a little more dressed up than the average Irish pub. Overall though, a nice spot if you're looking for something more upscale.
T.
We had to wait over an hour but the hostess got us the best table in the end. The food was great and the service too. Pleasant atmosphere. I would recommend reserving your table. Very nice place. Special!
L. C.
The Bank is me and my boyfriend's favourite place to go to have an amazing meal and drinks, and it has never failed us. We were celebrating my birthday there just a few days ago and our waitress saw it and at the end of the meal she surprised us with a complimentary dessert while singing a birthday song to me. I was shocked with happy tears around the eyes. Most friendly and amazing service!!
C. R.
Beautiful bar. Centrally located near Trinity College. It is richly decorated and elegant. The staff are friendly and helpful, they are happy to give recommendations. There is a wide range of drinks to choose from. Some evenings there is a live piano performance. Toilets are very small.
T. L.
Situated in an old bank (hence the name), the Bank is a great restaurant with live music and drinks. You’re not likely to forget you are in an old bank with the vaulted ceiling and awesome skylight as well as the vault doors in the basement to the restrooms. The space has many tables, but it can be hard to get a table on busy nights, so go for the bar which is more lively anyway. The staff is friendly and helpful, though won’t get in your way too much. The beer selection is good with some craft choices and well known big brands. The atmosphere is the main draw here with the aforementioned bank decor but also piano music at night. The food was also pretty good. The pork two ways, a fried chop and a big hunk of pork belly was quite tasty and though heavy, didn’t get overwhelming as the flavors were different enough and the sides helped break it up. The pork was well cooked and tender and the fried chop wasn’t dried out. In this touristy area, there are many traps and while the prices here are a little high, it certainly is worth it for the good food and excellent ambiance.
A. N. R.
Fab pub/restaurant in a great location, have spent several weekend afternoons meeting friends for a post shopping drink & bite listening to live piano music played in the afternoons. Staff are very polite & efficient. Great reliable spot to bring visitors and overseas clients for lunches, The Bank gives them the best of Irish food, drinks & hospitality without the cheesy Irish leprechaun treatment.
M.
A very large and beautifully decorated ceiling. We had some drinks at the bar counter. It was full-house and noisy. When I went to the toilet on the top floor, I discovered more beautiful display along the way. From the top, you can see the appeal of the restaurant below which made us want to come back some day.
L. G.
For the decor, the outstanding friendly great staff, it's made it to five stars!
When we walked in, dressed not so stylishly as been out taking in the sites so trainers and comfy clothes, we were greeted by a very smiley lady, we just wanted drinks and nothing to eat, which is no problem.
We went to the bar, and, although very busy, I got served immediately. Not gushy service at the bar but very efficient, so not bothered about that at all.
We were standing with our drinks then a high table was free, although reserved for people at 7, they said we could take a pew until the people turned up.
The place is buzzing, quite where all these people go that you see walking in the front door I have no idea, the food that the staff were whizzing by with looked excellent and people eating the food looked very happy.
Delightful Bellinis, gorgeous surrounding, why absolutely wouldn't you? It's a must go to for a drink at the least!
P. L.
Decent spot. Have had food here before, and enjoyed the meal and service. Yesterday was just a quick pint while waiting on the bus, bartender was attentive, I was greeted on the door, guy on a piano at a quiet volume in the background.
m. m. l.
Decor was lovey and staff were so welcoming. They actually removed tables and cleaned them in between people eating. Real effort to ensure peoples safety.
A. S.
Good place to go for a drink or have a spot of lunch. The place has a certain amount of wow factor, but service is a little chaotic, and food is just above average. Prices are reasonable enough. I'd give it 5 stars for decor and 3.5 stars for food and service.
D. F.
Fabulous. What a beautiful building. The interior is stunning. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Had a very enjoyable afternoon here. Will call next month when I'm back in Dublin.
L. L.
Fabulous restaurant. A great choice to have a meal. Good service too. But not cheap. Quite an elegant place. You will enjoy it; we did.
M. J.
What a great place and experience! An old bank transformed into a fine restaurant with comfortable food. The menu is great. Choose cheesecake for desert. On top of that staff is amazing.
J. B.
Very busy and we were served immediately. Lovely selection of beers and wines and staff are very polite. We had food from the lunch menu and it was perfect portions. I am pregnant and they catered for me with unsmoked substitutes. Excellent location! Being a dubliner im shocked i wasn't there before now. Will defintely return.
T. K.
We went to The Bank last night with friends and the piano was SO loud we could hardly hear each other. Volume in a late night bar is fine but overpowering volume over dinner isn't. Food quality wasn't great. My burger was like shoe leather. No juices at all. The staff and service was superlative as usual. My wife's seafood pasta had tons of shells but too little pasta. We won't be going back even with the fabulous decor.
이.
It's awesome drinking is good value for money
K. D.
This was a very popular spot that we walked into just off of a main street. We had to kind of wait around the bar for a spot to sit, but we were able to buy drinks rather quickly. The drinks were made with fresh juice by great bar tenders. The prices were a little higher here but it was a beautiful place with nice music. We met some friendly people and really enjoyed the atmosphere.
E. W.
Beautiful building. Food presented perfectly. Peaceful. Cosy neuks and a fireplace
D. E. K.
The bank on College Green offers a great location with beautiful classy interior architecture (it used to be a former bank building) and very high quality, tasty, but still down-to-earth and affordable pub food experience. I went there numerous times and if you're making a reservation, try to ask for the tables on the first floor, as it gives you a fantastic view on the whole restaurant. There's also live piano music, which enhances the classic atmosphere. Definitely recommend!
P. R.
Often walked past this place but was looking for somewhere comfy and quite to have a coffee, it ticked all the boxes. Absolutely wonderful latte, way better than what I've gotten from most of the chain coffee shops, maybe it was the mood I was in but this was terrific, only down side was that service was a bit slow. Very beautiful building both inside and out.
S. B.
I had a great time here. Fantastic food, freindly bar staff and lovely, professional wait staff. We had a table reserved - which I would recommend as this place is extremely busy and popular. Great live music by a talented pianist. I cannot recommend the Bank Bar enlugh3
J. D.
Extremely reasonablely priced considering the high standard of everything. The food was great, the service was brilliant. Location is perfect. The atmosphere was spot on. Even got a free pancake for pancake Tuesday. Have a feeling this is going to become a regular haunt for me.
A. M.
After a day of business meetings we wanted to go to downtown Dublin to have something decent to eat in a nice place. This one was recommended by our local office.
The place itself looks larger than it is due to the mirrors on the walls and that gives a very spacious impression. It is a very nice building but a bit noisy. I personally don't like it when they hang TV's on the wall but it wasn't too disturbing.
Service was quick, we started with a Guiness (what else) which as usual looks nice but normally I don't like the taste. For some reason that was difference, it tasted quite nice.
For starters we shared a plate with a mix of sausages, scampi, vegetables and some chicken wings. Very tasty and served well.
For the main course we took the sirloin steak. I've tasted some good ones but this one (medium-rare) was really excellent, compliments.
With a coffee to top it off, the bill was for 2 persons not more than EUR 95,00 or so. Not cheap perhaps but good value for money.
D. D.
Been here twice. Beautiful location with love piano music. Great croquettes made with goat cheese and zucchini.
Shepherd's pie was awesome. Lamb rack and fillet were under cooked and inedible. Desserts were ok.
J. K.
This restaurant was great. It was literally an old bank they converted into a restaurant. It was a upscale but relaxed meal. The food was surprisingly well priced. A large bowl of 30 muscles for a starter as only something like €10. Had a great meal, but make sure that you make a reservation because I assume it could get really full since there are only about 20 tables available for a sit down meal on the mezzanine. There are a lot more tables available below if you just want to order a drink or eat off the bar menu. Great restaurant, would definitely visit again!
J. C.
The service was fantastic as well as the food and drink. Its such an elegant bar and my favourite bar and restaurant in Dublin. There is also a heritage tour which is very historic and interesting. Lovely piano music during lunchtime also. GREAT BAR
C. M.
A little pricey for fish and chips and a pint. But the building is really cool, and the pianist was continually playing for hours, playing arrangements of a variety of popular songs for today, and decades ago, and everything in between. definitely a cool experience.
L. K.
Always visit when I'm in Dublin. Beautiful building, excellent pianist, good drinks and the service provided by the staff is second to none in Dublin. These are the reasons I bring every visitor to one of the best bars in Dublin.
T. M.
Was very affordable. Considering the location and the style of the bank as well as it being known as business class, we were please try surprised for lunch between 8-18 euro which was great and also tasty
A. T.
Splendid ambience, and a super nice chowder!
E. O.
Beautiful interior of this converted bank. Lovely food, a little pricey, but given it's very central location not surprising. Waiting staff are very nice, helpful, friendly and attentive.
p. l.
Eggs Florentine and Caprese Omlette..Delish!
L.
The food was absolutely amazing! The waitresses were very attentive to our needs and we were enchanted by the decoration.
I definitely recommend this place!
J. D.
Beautiful. Sat at the bar, got oysters and Guinness. You should too. Bar staff are chatty and the atmosphere is nice. The stained glass in the roof is amazing.
D. Á.
Oysters and fish platters are really good. The design of the restaurant is great. Maybe a little bit noisy, but food quality and proces are good. One of the best places in the city.
J. C.
If you are in Dublin and want a drink this is a bar with a difference was originally a bank and still has all the safes great selection of old Dublin pictures as well as a fabulous place to drink. Serves good food and excellent selection of drinks
j. o. b.
Food great, staff great, decor great, but clean the beer lines or the glasses.Defo after taste off the heino and stout.but just to clear up,the staff were very engaging.

We reserved a table here, which was promptly gave to us as we arrived to the restaurant. The only problem was the run out of food (chicken/ fish) and some main dishes from the menu weren't available. The friendly staff apologized for that even though it wasn't her fault.

What excellent first class service. Upon entering the restaurant I was approached by a lovely house welcomer. She offered me seating with a smile. I said I wanted to be in a quite area. I was offered a table of four with no problems. It's hard not to see why they have won so many awards. On a busy day and time too. The bar is amazing beautiful interiors. Worth seeing by itself.
I ordered a non alcohol beer and the side of beef. Beer served instantly cold, I blinked and my food had arrived.
Great portion. I was in a Sunday dinner mode.
One suggestion I would have is, I hate wooden boards I do not like the idea of food being served on them, in my mind they harver germs.
The beef was cooked beautifully. Vegetables and sides perfect. Great gravy.
Great place to eat. Sunday pints and dinner perfect place.
Needs to be added to "The must try eateries list of Dublin". Places such as this shows the welcoming side to the Irish people and what hospitality is all about.
See you soon guys.

Been there on a buisy monday evening. The place was packed with guests. It took only a few moments until we were seated by the staff, a short few minutes until the ordered drinks came and the food was served surprisingly quick and was amazing.
But if the waitress asks you to be careful because the dishes are hot, it does not matter if you think you can handle a hot plate. Just let her place it for you because this was a different level of hot.
Great place and an absolute recommendation.
Thanks to the staff

Fancy restaurant. We went there for dinner, the menu has just a few options and there's no much for vegans/vegetarians. Drinks were good.

Very classy pub/resteraunt. Very near Trinity college Dublin. Just a very lovely atmosphere. Expensive but it is city centre. It's also near to Temple bar tourist area.

The place is beautiful inside and the staff is so nice. The food is good, but it's nothing you can't get anywhere else. I think you pay for atmosphere.. not food. Overall- overpriced food in a fancy building.

Must visit bar in Dublin. Known to win several awards, the interiors are astonishing and the food is also great. The liquor collection is okay and the service is quite good. Definitely one of the best in Dublin.

A very high end restaurant. You pay a lot more than the usual for location and facilities. However, the waiters were well trained and the food was excellent. Although if you are looking for food at a cheap price with friends this is not the place to go.

Great food and beautiful ambience!

Friendly staff, great atmosphere and a stunning interior. The food was nice and very reasonably priced considering. I love the live piano.

Great Victorian atmosphere! Good place for a drink and not expensive at all!

Great idea for the theme of a restaurant.

Stunning, beautiful. Everything you wish a pub could be in fact.

Food is nice but not too special and not huge selection, yet not cheap either. Service is excellent!

Had a great stay. Excellent music. Good food. Lucky to find a spot but amazing service with a smile. Mussels were delicious along with pate. The trip to the bathroom was historical

The best meal I had in the UK. The restaurant itself is stunningly beautiful. The wait staff were amazing and they went out of there way to make our honeymoon meal especially fantastic. I couldn't recommend this place any more highly.

Had lunch today after visiting Trinity College. My wife had the fish and chips which were okay but not great. I had the vegetarian rigatoni which tried to be interesting but ultimately was very dull. You pay a lot and get a poor return. No lunch specials either.

Very nice building, architecture is beautiful. Good food, reasonable price.

Brought my American cousins . Fantastic food and service. They had Burdochs fish and chips the day before but said yours were far superior. Also no problem to cater for the eating habits of a fussy 17 year old. Love you guys. Never disappointed !

Excellent venue, good food and the staff are great!

I love this place. We went there on our honeymoon simply based on walking past it and seeing the menu; what luck! From the drinks to the appetizers to the main course (lamb 3 ways, amazing) to the dessert, everything was flawless. Was only there 5 days and made a point to go back. Will eat there again when we next find ourselves in Dublin. Oh, the food was so good I nearly forgot to mention how beautiful the interior is. It is. If you don't try it you will regret it; once you do you'll never forget it.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. The staff were all brilliant and looked after us really well. We both had the pork belly main with pulled pork mash and veg- and with completely no exaggeration at all - it was the best meal we have ever had in a restaurant. We've eaten out in the top places in Las Vegas too and The Bank totally topped them all. Absolutely gorgeous; we would travel back to Dublin just to eat here again. Can't rate it enough! Thank you to all and huge compliments to the chef!

Food atmosphere everything good

Amazing place, such a curious bank atmosphere. Full of details and live piano music. Glorious desserts, specially the chocolate brownie with ice cream, superb.
In the other hand, It is not the cheapest place in Dublin, but you pay what you get.

Was in the Bank on Valentines night. Service was amazing. Was truly a 5 star customer experience. Food was also excellent but again, it was the service that really stood out. Highly recommended
R. F.
Good seating and usually not too busy. Good cocktail selection and gin selection. Been back a few time and noticed the play the same music track over and over again which is kinda annoying.

One of the most beautiful and ornate public buildings in Dublin city centre. Even if you want to just go for a coffee and stare at the ceiling. Amazing building and decor.
The food was good but overpriced for what you got.

Large, noisy super pub located in a former banking hall. Focus is on getting you to eat while there. Staff are a mixture of friendly (minority) and indifferent. Very popular with tourists because of great location. Interesting toilets in the "safe" basement

Love visiting The Bank when in Dublin City centre. This establishment oozes history and elegance, particularly love the artistic touches such as the display of busts of 1916 proclamation leaders and the hand painted Countess Markievicz quote on one of the stairwell.
Delicious locally sourced Irish food and divine cocktails - had the cucumber & mint gin cooler on my last visit, their espresso martini is also highly recommended. The bangers & mash and steaks are firm favourites but also have enjoyed a tasty superfood salads and delicious fish specials.
Live entertainment in the form of a pianist playing on a grand piano gives it a classy edge - one of my favourite destinations on a Saturday afternoon.

Had a table for 9 tonight for a 50th Birthday party.
Such amazing food and service.
From making the booking with Aoife to Veronica who looked after us and made Scott's night one to remember (the special crepe dessert was delicious) we cant thank you all enough.
Excellent value too.
Best wishes Sharon & Scott x

Oh wow. Seated by piano and fireplace. Ambiance and service great. Food good. Glad our taxi told us to stop her.

Great food and ambience

Pretty busy place.
Good for meeting new people or catching up with friends.
Pint isn't too bad either
To add!
I've taken away a star because it's hardly hygienic to handle people's cutlery in your arse pocket.
That's not cool

The bank is a very good restaurant with awesome, well-priced food and really good service. In addition to the food you get a nice atmosphere in the Victorian house. During our first visit there was piano music as well. They have a replica of the book of Kells if you want to have a quick glance to Celtic art for free.
R. B.
Food was delicious, staff were excellent, and the setting is magnificent. Probably the best place I've eaten in, in Dublin.

Fine food and friendly staff

Beautiful piece of old Dublin, a must see! Great food, great drinks and fabulous atmosphere! I visit everytime I go to town for a bite to eat and a glass of wine.
M. A.
Very nice restaurant with live piano music.

I always visit here when I'm in Dublin. It's such a beautiful building, it's takes you back in time. Live piano music. If you don't like heat don't sit upstairs.

Such an incredible restaurant and the food is really good. The staff are very friendly and couldn’t rate the service more highly, we will defiantly visit again next time we’re in Dublin.

Was expecting allot more of this place based off some reviews but to be honest was pretty disappointed.
The venue is quite unique and probably the highlight, we went for dinner and it was rather busy, therefore service seemed slow. The food seemed like average pub food with above average prices.
Can only recommend visiting if you want to see the place and just have a drink.

Lovely experience. Good food menu and friendly staff. Great place to have a mid day lunch. Very interesting history to this place. Well worth a visit.
M. J.
Incredible atmosphere and good prices! It feels really bougie when you walk in, and the hospitality is the finest, but you can get a really well priced meal! Must see for tourists
H. C.
Great selection of beers both well known brands and more niche craft ones on tap. Nice food. Great atmosphere, especially early evening when the piano is in full flow.
R. P.
Good food, reasonable prices, great customer service and very nice decoration. Totally recommended.

Very nice interior. Venison pie was great and so was service.

What a beautiful building. Sat at the bar. Had seafood chowder which was loaded with seafood. Also had carrot and parsnip soup. Delicious. Bread always fantastic. Shepherd's pie to die for.
J. M. S.
The fun of this bar comes from how it has been integrated into what used to be a bank. Definitely worth a visit to see and make sure you go to the bathroom at least once.
Downside would be that it is often crowded and the price of drinks is slightly higher than normal.
C. K.
Brunch is fabulous, eggs florentine are a winner but it is a very busy and therefore loud place. If you wanna go somewhere quiet to have a more intimate conversation, this is not the place. You'll probably get a table for lunch without much hassle, but dinner you absolutely need to prebook.
P. B.
Brilliant atmosphere. Fabulous food. Really really enjoyed it. Staff really attentive and added to the reasons why I can't wait to go back
M. O.
Very nice place with a perfect bar, good food and great atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The Bank is a favourite for my wife and I.
We love the building and the food and service is consistently good!!
Highly recommended it to locals and tourists alike.

Very popular bar with consistent food quality food. Can be a bit too noisy at times combination of piano and conversation, but still enjoyable. Toilets in the old vaults, worth a visit.
T. H.
Beautiful dinner place to be. Great and wonderful building conversation work transformed an old bank hall into a classy restaurant. Excellent plan for couple, families and small groups.
F. W.
Even if you just went here to gawp at the architecture, it would be worth a visit, but fortunately the food is also interesting enough to justify a trip. Sit upstairs in the elegant yet relaxed mezzanine for your lunch and look down and out over the spectacular example of Victorian commercial architecture, perfectly preserved and maintained.

The Bank reopened as a Pub and restaurant in 2003. This building, designed by one of the British Empire’s leading architectural lights, William Henry Lynn, was once described as one of the foremost jewels of Victorian Dublin. Construction took two years, completed in 1894. The interior, once the main Banking Hall, is stunningly ornate
Dedicated to serving excellent food, a range of quality fare is served all The freshest seafood comes directly from renowned Dublin fish suppliers, Wrights of Marino.
The Bank has been a consistent recipient of food, drink and hospitality awards.

The place is great with an excellent atmosphere, I ordered a Teelings with water. Poured a small drop in only to find the water was warm, nothing an ice cube didn't sort out but not a great start.

Gorgeous place and food, highly recommend

Excellent food and alcohol. Would recommend the whiskey sour or gin and tonic. The steak sandwich was good and so were the fish and chips.

Nice lunch of fish and chips, buddies both had Guinness Stew, and all very nice. Pleasant surroundings and friendly and efficient staff. Will be back!

Beautiful space. Really good food. Great beer as usual in Ireland. Services was top notch. A busy place for locals to get a drink with their friends.
C. D.
The menu is lovely. Their hamburgers are really nice. The seafood platter for 2 is very good value for the variety you get.
B. C.
Lovely bar great food and very friendly staff try to get in there at least once or twice a week

Love this place the choice of drinks is unreal. Really lovely atmosphere too. The piano player was fantastic and played both classical and modern tunes
