Reviews of The Larder Restaurant & BrewHouse
My steak was over done, burnt & bitter. It's a pity of my poor fortune that I decided to have my memorable farewell dinner here. However, the meat was very well seasoned & would be one of the best if only I had it medium rare as ordered. The only candle on my table lured me to try cutting here and there in hope to find the medium rare part I ordered.
I like the place, though. The waitress was also very nice replacing the potato on the side with very mixed green. And the chef had done an extremely savory raw+cooked salad, one of the best I have ever had!
Delicious food, really good quality and quick friendly service. We had 2 courses and a cup of coffee which was about €65 for 4 adults. Definitely recommend this place.
Must try! Delicious food and wait staff is a delight. Shrimp, soup of the day, sirloin steak wonderful. Lager beer ice cold and for the sweet wine drinkers Moscato! Stop in for dinner specials as well.
Good restaurant with a small selection of entrées. The steak was tasty and nicely cooked. The lamb burger was good.
Nothing in Dublin was open, but they were offering a brunch menu at 11:00 am. We didn’t eat. Just drank. Staff was nice and we had a cute table by the window. A good “locals only” spot. Menu looks good, too. Cheers! 🍻
Quite quiet and really comfy place to have a brunch. Food is okay, I had the vegetarian breakfast and it might need a little bit more flavour, especially the eggs. But all in all cheap and nice.
Beautiful duck, lamb and sea bass. Staff were so efficient, organised, professional and friendly and helpful. Am amazing lager which they brew themselves. Great food. Will be back again. 10 out of 10.
Simply the best restaurant in Dublin!
Service top notch. The food is outstanding! And the desserts, oh my god, there spectacular! *Two thumbs up*
Amazing tasty food, great selection of locally sourced beers & varied wine list. Friendly & speedy service.
The food was Worth much more than we paid at the early bird price. Service was wonderful!
Fantastic food and great service, just the portions are a bit too small.
nice DB lager, descent burger too. broccolies with sweet potato hummus were amazing
Had a steak. Very nice food and 2 courses for 20 euro but limited options. A bit too stuffy. Everyone was just sitting in silence eating. Not for me.
We had a really lovely dinner here 2yrs ago and still dreaming to go back to Dublin and eat at the Larder! Edit: we did go back last october and see ya soon, we’re coming back! 😂😎
The food was amazing! I would definitely go back. I highly recommend this place. Can be busy, so I suggest to make a reservation before going.
The Larder offered an Early Bird menu that was a passable value. As a customer, it’s odd when some things on the menu are offered and others listed at the same price aren’t. Ended up going with the soup of the day to start (best thing anyone at my table ordered), steak as the main (€3 upcharge) and asked for veg instead of fries. I got veg, but I’ve never had asparagus and broccoli be quite so boring at a restaurant before. Straight up steamed (still extra crunchy) with nothing else. No salt. No sauce. No garlic. Nothing. Finished off with an incredibly basic bread and butter pudding. It was decent, but if I’d been paying full price I’d have been disappointed.
One of my favorite Dublin restaurants. I've been coming here for years every time I get to the city. Shout-out to the Steak Dinner/Early Bird menu. SO GOOD. Reasonably priced wines by the glass and bottle, attentive staff, cozy, atmospheric and mmmm the desserts!
I rarely leave feedback but this place deserves more than five stars. I could say I've become a regular customer thanks to the waiters' politeness and the delicious meals you can enjoy there. Also, they have the most amazing cheesecake I've ever tried - sweet cheese with pieces of white chocolate on a soft biscuit accompanied by whipped cream and crowned by a delicious berry sauce.
We had a great dinner here. We happened to walk by, poke our heads in and see if they had any openings available for dinner that night. They're pretty flexible when it comes to an earlier dinner, but anytime after 7pm (19:00) I would highly recommend calling for a reservation. We had excellent service and we followed the recommendations they gave to us for their specials that night. We were very impressed.
We had a lamb burger that was a taste feast!! Juicy burger, tasty bun and the ingredients were so fresh! As a side were included mouth-watering triple cooked chips! Bit pricy but is justified by the quality of food. Highly recommended!
My spouse and I were recommended The Larder by the lgbt bar across the road (who don't serve food) as somewhere to get a good lunch. The interior is stylish, the staff friendly and the food fantastic - we had a smoked applewood, mushroom and leek quiche from the specials board and a reuben, both of which came with a mix of two salads and were delicious. The quiche in particular was fantastic. Definitely recommend.
Great place, nice staff. We had the early bird dinner while visiting and had mushroom and spinach soup (special) plus wings for appetizer and then burger and gnocchi for entree. The gnocchi was amazing.
My husband and I stopped in for lunch on a whim and were blown away by the quality of the food and the service. My chicken was served with two of the best salads I've ever had (really - who leaves reviews about salads?!). We both left very impressed.
Went for one of the best brunches I can remember. The corn fritter stack was amazing, the creme fresh and guacamole went so well together. Also had the breakfast skillet, very tasty.
Service was friendly and fast, loved the music choices.
Had fish and chips here while the wife rested her feet. It was a good lunch and well priced for a tourist spot in dublin. The area is very historic. Wish we had more time to walk around.
Tried a beef-based dinner on Friday night. A little hard to find a spot if you do not have reservation, but if you are able to get a seat, well, simply enjoy its dishes.
About 40€/person for single serve plus wine and dessert.
One of the best early bird menus in Dublin, tasty and great value under EUR 20 for 2 courses... they even have steak and chips for under EUR 15 on steak nights (granted that is only 6oz, but good quality, with meat sourced from FX Buckley).
Efficient service and good selection of drinks - I had Kinnegar's Scraggy Bay. I had not been for a year or so, but the quality has not gone down, and their chicken wings are as good as the ones from Elephant and Castle.
Excellent food and excellent service from the staff. We will certainly be visiting again. By far one of the nicest rib eye steaks I've eaten.
Relaxed atmosphere with no pressure from the staff.
The food is amazing. I got the early bird 3 course meal which delicious and had good portion sizes. The service was excellent. I would highly recommend and I would definitely return again
I had the duck, my husband had the special, which was seabass. Both were delicious! Good beverage variety. Friendly service. We had a table by the window, very cute, but the chairs should be replaced, they were a bit dingy.
The host squeezed us in without a reservation which was gracious considering it was a Saturday night. The Earlybird Menu was a phenomenal deal and the beers and ciders were unique and tasty. The beef carpaccio and crab & crayfish starters were very well dressed and had well balanced flavors. They were light yet satisfying. The toploin steak was perfectly cooked, lightly seasoned and the spinach side salad had a vinegarette that's to die for. The roast duck came with heirloom carrots that still had their bite but were cooked well. The plum sauce paired well with it. The duck itself was well rendered but could have been cooked slightly closer to the rare side of medium rare. The potatoes were perfectly broiled and only had minimal salt -- as it should be. For dessert we had the raspberry white chocolate cheesecake which was rich but the absolute perfect end to the meal. We also had the chocolate pot which was like a lava cake. Balanced very well with the praline ice cream and strawberries that came with it. This has easily been our best meal in Dublin and one of the best I've had in general I'm a long time.
Bright little spot that's known for it's steak set-menu deals. The menu is pretty good but a little uninspiring. It's a good pre-theatre spot and usually you can get by without making a booking. Last time I was there I had the duck liver parfait, which was *really* good but served with an aniseed chutney that I couldn't get the hang of.
Excellent little restaurant located in Dublin City. Excellent food that is very reasonably priced. Last time I was there, I had one of the best steaks I ever had. Plenty of gluten free options (Coeliac) on their menu.
I met friends here last Saturday evening and it was fantastic! Another one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin that has been around for many many years and is consistently good! I rarely have lamb when at a restaurant but that night I had the Braised Lamb Shank (Lamb shank braised in Dublin Brewer IPA , braised red cabbage, spinach and quinoa) and it was to die for! The meat fell off the bone, the IPA infused gravy was sublime and I savoured every morsel of it! I finished off with a yummy raspberry & white chocolate cheesecake.
Great coffee and even better brunch!
Really good fish + chips. Lovely place with friendly staff.
Food was very good, as was the service, so had a good time. Nice choice of bottled beers, but.not so impressed with the quality of wine on offer. Merlot quite poor, Rioja was better but not worth €9.
Went here for lunch today with my colleagues for the first time. Cant believe I've been missing out all these years. Food was delicious and the staff were friendly and sweet. Would recommend this place to everyone to try and love!!! 😍
Visited the place again after a long absence and it seems to have gone downhill. It prides itself on brunch but overcooked eggs on two dishes were a letdown. The hot pan mixed brunch was bland while the lamb meatballs were decent but not outstanding.
There's a very good steak deal for only €13 and the steak itself was absolutely delicious. The table was a little cramped and made it hard to have all the food and the drinks on it at the same time.
We were looking for a good lunch and we found a great one here. Excellent food in a pleasant atmosphere (Bruce Springsteen was the soundtrack for our lunch so I was happy before the first bite) with reasonable prices. The quiche was prepared in a rustic crust and was delicious with two choices from the salad board. My husband's penne with chicken and chorizo was spicy and rich - so good! My son had the chicken Ceasar salad and said it was the best he's ever had. Trust me, he may only be 18, but he's eaten a lot of chicken Ceasar salad. The service was relaxed but attentive and we lingered over tea and coffee after our meal. We all highly recommend The Larder.
Yummy to my tummy. Straight up fare with a nice decor. This was a total random choice one night. and I am really glad I made the time to come here. friendly people and a well though out menu make for an enjoyable evening and a good stop for anyone looking for something hearty.
A lovely place. The food was very good and the staff very kind with us because, as a tourists, we didn't understand everything on the menus. A good diner for a first day in Dublin !
Lovely setting, great service and was food was fabulous. The desserts really topped off the evening. The home made brews are also recommended.
Lovely atmosphere, totally underrated like a hidden gem,and the food is A1 .You might have to book as it gets busy but people wouldn't be on top of you in there either.
We stumbled across the place but were drawn in by the appealing brunch menu and were not disappointed. Good strong coffee, soft lighting, discreet staff and good food.
Nice food, this is my third time there in a year and the menu hasn't changed (except for the specials) , pleasant staff and good service. Would recommend
Delicious food and a great wine list, we stumbled in here starving and were blown away with the quality of the food, staff are super knowledgable and friendly and they brew their own beers! Will deffo be back!
Great food and service. Even though it was a busy Friday evening the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very nice.
Nice lamb burger and nice staff
Have popped in for lunch on a number of occasions. The food here is really good, though I found the seasoning to be a bit salty formmy taste. Still, I would definitely recommend this spot.
Great food and great service but I wouldn't recommend it for a quiet meal for two as the restaurant is small and very echoey making it very loud as was my experience with a party of six men and women seated beside us who obviously loved the sound of their own voices!
Ate a wonderful full breakfast here (10eur). It's served till 4pm which is great for late sleepers. The staff was very friendly and the place looked nice.
Very nice food. Staff super friendly. Can't comment on the brews but seemed popular.
We had a brunch there - food was good, staff really friendly. Waiting time for the food was a bit long but I would def recommend it.
Really liked the atmosphere and very friendly and accommodating staff. Food was good and appropriately priced.
wonderful place. we came across the restaurant accidentally and it was the best accident possible. delicious and unique food, great prices and the staff ?? top quality service and always with a smile
Outstanding food and lovely service. Best food we had in Dublin. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting Dublin!
A bit pricey compare to the other restaurants in Dublin, but it is worthy. The food was delicious and service was quick.
Really good food, but: why “Brewhouse”? There is no beer from Tap, only 4 flavours in bottles.
Friendly people, cozy spot. Food was really good. Decent drink menu. Worth a stop in for brunch.
Fabulous food, lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Goats cheese starter was mouthwatering, cant wait to go back for more.
Beautiful steak cooked just the way I asked. Very tender.
Good choice of craft beers
Nice atmosphere
Really good experience I recommand to have one of the fine locally brewed beer to Come with your dish !
Food was delicious, atmosphere well crafted and early bird special pricing quite reasonable.
Lovely place, lovely staff, lovely food. New it would be good because most of the people there were locals
Good food, nice prices excellent staff & super location what's not to love .... well maybe those tiny stairs to the restrooms but I wasn't running the food - LOVED it 👍
Delicious food and beers, great value, lovely staff and atmosphere. Will be back again for sure
I enjoyed my lunch very much.Excellent food and lovely staff.
The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. I must say it was a new way to prepare duck.
Great food and great service. The starter with goat cheese is simply fantastic. Bravi.
Lovely place with a brilliant atmosphere and great menu and staff. Couldn't be any better!
Friendly staff. Excellent food - Crab & Crayfish for starter and tuna steak with an orange salsa.
Lovely atmosphere, great food, steak was very good.
Lovely food and staff. Very popular so book ahead to avoid disappointment.
Great restaurant with lovely staff and fantastic food and drink - with craft beers from it's own micro brewery to accompany the lovingly crafted food.
Fantastic food, great staff, value for money, the best
Great food, friendly quick staff, nice atmosphere, ok prices for the area.
Really amazing food. Service a bit slow but we got there just after opening.
Had quick nice lunch for 48€ in 3persons. Good local beer in bottle.
Really friendly staff and delicious food. The early bird is great value!
Excellent food..reasonable prices...large wine selection and craft beers
Lovely little restaurant, nice atmosphere with good service and good food.
really good food, much nicer than other places in Dublin, and very reasonably priced.
Excellent steaks, they have an early bird menu and offer steak specials with a cheap upgrade option for a larger steak.
Food is very good, but not excellent. Give their craft beers a try!
We spent a lovely evening her, service was excellent and friendly and the food was very nice
Very nice brunch very reasonable prices glass of prosecco for 6€ only let down had run out of a couple of ingredients no smoked salmon
Delicious Hake dish. Great early bird special for €19
Good food, friendly service and well priced.
They do an excellent full Irish breakfast, I would highly recommend it!
Reckon these are the best chicken wings in town, unreal and the early bird is super value!
Excellent experience. Food great quality and superb value.
Lively restaurant with great food and friendly staff. Perfect location for socialising.
Good food nice atmosphere reasonably priced
Delicious, friendly staff, lovely seating area.
Great food, but the beer accompanying it was even better
Decent place downtown. Don't go for the steak, they have a lot better stuff.

One of the best restaurants in Dublin
Nice staff and lovely food
Nice
Would definitely visit again.
One of the best lamb burgers we've ever tasted, just the perfect balance of lean meat and fat for that juicy, melt in your mouth flavor. Well spiced and served on a fresh brioche bun, generous portion with a side of salad AND chips. The house brewed larger and ale were both great, definitely one of the best valued dinners in Temple Bar! Friendly service and the restaurant was buzzing on a TUESDAY night, goes to show how much locals love this place. Highly recommended!
The chicken wings were lovely
The larder do a great lunch menu which is really reasonable. I can't fault the staff they are lovely and have been there a while and make you feel welcome. I've eaten lunch here tons of times and always enjoy and I've eaten dinner a few times. I find the dinner menu can be hit or miss but that's just my opinion, I will eat here again.

Ove this place
Small and inconspicuous from the outside but a great atmosphere inside. There is a great selection and there is really delicious food. The pike was great and tasty and the staff was friendly and quick. Great taste. Highly recommended. 2 products for 20 euros was more than fair.
A small and very fine restaurant in the middle of the Temple Bar district. Very modern and at the same time comfortably furnished.
Very good selection of craft beers, fine wines and a clear (coolly designed) menu.
A lot seems to have happened over the years, because in 2014 & 2015 there was a much larger selection of steaks.
Now there was only a sirloin steak on the menu, so this time we only opted for starters like chicken wings and sautéed shrimp.
The quality of the food and the service were once again TOP!
A really, really good restaurant.
We had no reservation, restaurant was full seated, but they made it possible that we've got a place.
Our meal (Rib-Eye Steak and Homemade Lamb Burger) were excellent.
Prices were appropriate.
It's a MUST to visit The Larder when you visit Dublin.
A really, really good restaurant.
We didn't have a reservation, the restaurant was full, but they made it possible for us to get a seat.
Our food (rib-eye steak and homemade lamb burger) was excellent.
The prices were reasonable.
It is a MUST visit The Larder when in Dublin.
Small but very welcoming and nice place. Irish cuisine. Friendly staff and they speak Italian. Valid alternative to pubs.
Irish restaurant in the center of Dublin, it has a daily menu and the dishes are very elaborate
(Translated) The dishes are tasty and their presentation neat. However the service is not warm, the waitresses are in the automatism. He misses the friendly smile we are used to seeing in Ireland.

Les plats sont savoureux et leur présentation soignée. Cependant le service est peu chaleureux, les serveuses sont dans l'automatisme. Il manque le sourire convivial que l'on a l'habitude de voir en Irlande.
Cozy and charming Irish restaurant in the middle of Temple Bar. The table for two in the window is a good option if you can make a reservation. Friendly staff, menu with options for all tastes and a good wine and beer list.
We came across this little restaurant by chance and were rewarded with a perfect steak. The beer from our own brewery was also impressive.
Any time!
A nice restaurant where we had lunch in superb armchairs by the window. Original, comfortable and a fast and attentive service. A very pleasant moment.
Menu as sparse as the portions; somewhat unfriendly staff and terrible service.
Fish and chips good but very modest dish; poor quality-price ratio.
The site is somewhat pretentious. 16 euros for a plate with three pieces of beef and a beer. The dish was very good though.
Very pleasant place, very kind and efficient staff. Good food. Prices slightly above average.
For Dublin, delicious food. The waiting time between dish and dish, excessive. Maybe it was because we were kids and had Christmas dinner.
Professional and helpful staff. Good food and value for money
(Translated) A small oasis in the district of Temple Bar, highly recommended! Gnocchi were excellent!

Eine kleine Oase im Bezirk Temple Bar, sehr empfehlenswert! Gnocchi waren ausgezeichnet!
I tried the hamburger which although huge did not impress me. The store seemed a bit small to me. Staff excellent.
Very nice service, pleasant atmosphere, good steak.
Excellent food, good beer, welcoming place
Pleasant
Ok, but nothing special, more sterile than cozy. The food is average.
Small but nice restaurant! Very tasty food!!!
Excellent meat cooked properly
