Reviews of The Lobster Pot
The best baked sea bass in Ireland. I also recommend half lobster as a starter and bottle of champagne.
The Food was absolutely superb. The decor second to none and our reserved table in a great setting. Unfortunately the service was appalling from start to finish - our monosyllabic waiter obviously uninterested and rude - starting by checking his watch when we asked - very much in time for the early bird - it went from bad to worse - a real shame.
Amazing restaurant in the classic French style offering superb seafood dishes. Exceptionally friendly service, outright recommendation.
I'm unsure how to describe the dining experience here. The service was impeccable, the food devine. Not being pompous about it. It really was an experience. I had 1/2 dozen oysters and the lobster with garlic butter (pictured) and my partner has shrimp/scallops and the baked whole sea bass. The sea bass had table side deboning service being completed by skilled hands. As I said, it was an experience. Of course, the experience comes with expense, but highly recommend it.
Classic french restaurant, the quality of the produce was fabulous with an intimate service.
For fine seafood dining it is hard to match.
A wonderful experience.
Perfect service and food!!! Oysters are so fresh!
Fantastic restaurant for that classic knowledgable staff, skilled service and delicious seafood. Highly recommended. Not cheap but excellent all round
First ever visit, can't fault it, great food and very friendly staff and very nice old world atmosphere. Will be back.
Love this restaurant. Its a very special fine dining experience. Decor is cosy, subdued and elegant. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The food is delicious, with little extra touches like talking you through the fresh fish available and dessert trolley. Staff even asked if we wanted a little break between each course so we could relax and enjoy our evening. Social distancing was perfect and no feeling of being rushed out the door.
Good food and atmosphere but particularly expensive
