Perfect restaurant for a Saturday brunch with a lot of mimosas! Very good food, friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I highly recommend!
Y. M.
What a fabulous experience. Fresh pizza, lovely chips (one of the best I’ve had), fair price and really good customer service! We tried the Pimms cocktail and it was so refreshing. Cheers to the girl that served us. Couldn’t recommend it more ⭐️

Different and tasty food with friendly staff. The pizza was amazing! I'll be back!

A regular stop for the family and I and one that never disappoints.
Food is always good with a pretty good menu. Love the open kitchen layout so you can just about see what's going on. Staff are always courteous and fast.
My kids love the chicken wings and 'The Revolution' pizza is a family favourite. For me though, it's the Smokey BBQ Burger.
Good selection of IPA beer too. Definitely give it a go if in Rathgar.

We booked in here for brunch & were surprised to be the only people in the restaurant when we arrived. It was welcomed, though, as we were served immediately and the staff were excellent.
Brunch is great here. Eggs Benedict was delicious, friend had Avo toast with poached eggs and said it was lovely.
We had the bottomless mimosa brunch, which is great if you're into orange juice.
I drank quite a few glasses and didn't taste any alcohol. That could probably be adjusted. Otherwise, lovely experience.

I keep coming back to this place!!
The food is very very good, for both dinner and brunch. Pizzas here are my favourite, i think I've had the majority on the menu and none disappoint. The garlic parmesan fries are unreal also
The staff here are very friendly and the service is always great, will be back again!
They also do a 10e pizza Wednesday deal if you're looking for a cheap midweek treat
J. G. M.
The food was excellent, the waitress too, the times too. Everything is great. I will be back. The best is the mac & cheese and the cheesecake with chocolate and orange.
L. M.
Great pizzas and fries. Small place so either book or choose a very quiet time to pitch up, which was what we did at around 17.30 on a Sunday. Knew it would be good when first track on background music was Arcade Fire..
C. M.
Came with a few friendships about two weeks ago and had the best time! We were served by Alejandro and he was phenomenal! The service was amazing! We got the bottomless mimosas and had the best time celebrating two of our friends birthdays!
m. h.
The wild boar pizza and the mimosas were incredible. I’d be waiting seconds before a refill arrived. It’s no Tim’s house but it’s very close
B. A.
Came to Ireland for a visit. The staff were incredibly friendly, the food is amazing and the atmosphere was great. If I visit again, I'll sure be coming back to this place.
B. O.
Great place to visit, fantastic menu with some gorgeous pizza. Very cosy and relaxing place with great service. Michael the waiter was excellent and very helpful. Food is fabulous and is highly recommended. Can't say enough good things about this place. A gem in Rathgar.. 5 stars
A. D.
I was surprised with the menu. So many options. I just feel like I have to come back there many times to try everything. I went for brunch but wanna come back to try beers. You can have bottomless drinks with brunch 😊. Definitely coming back. It's a must go if you're in rathmines or terenure. Decoration is lovely, take your camera with you 😉
G. O.
Excellent pizza, friendly staff and great value. This place has it all. Will definitely visit again
A. C.
Delicious and reasonably priced brunch in the heart of Rathgar. I can recommend the pulled pork eggs benedict (only 10€), and will definitely be back soon to try other items on the menu.
P. T.
Delicious food and nice atmosphere. Ordered pork eggs benedict and bottomless mimosas and we're very pleased with both. Staff were very nice. Will definitely be back again.
B. O. R.
Great food, great family experience, parmesan fries are yum, friendly and very reasonably priced, love it!
J. G.
The food and the ambiance was amazing. The waiters were really friendly. Try the tacos and the chocolate mousse 👌👌👌
S. L.
My favourite spot for a pizza in Dublin. Always top notch whether its sit in or takeaway. Great selection of food and interesting beers to try on the menu. Staff were very friendly and accommodating when I asked for a window seat
M. T.
Nice and cosy place. Delicious food! I'm not Italian but I think it's an authentic Italian restaurant with pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff.
R. R.
Fantastic food..!! I ordered 2 pizzas to collect (Di Ludovico and wild mushroom )The pizzas were ready on time and cooked to perfection whit the outstanding flavor of a stone baked pizza..!! The staff was very nice and helpful over the phone and in person..!! It’s a great choice for dinner and the menu will have something for almost everyone’s taste as there are many options.
G. D.
We had heard great things from several locals about The Revolution - so expectations were seriously high, but wow did Paul and team deliver.
The guacamole/nachos set the bar high to start, followed by Pizzas that were best we’ve had in months and then the tacos that were finger-licking good!
All of this was made better by the incredible service and delicious craft beer - highly recommend the homegrown IPA (Obrother).
We’ll be back ASAP!
Y. O.
Amazing food and staff 😊
Had lemonade, mushroom pizza & ice cream sandwich. All tasty & delicious.
J. J. O. T.
Had dinner here with a few friends recently. The pizza was amazing and you can see it being cooked in the wood oven only a few feet away from you. Added bonus is the incredible list of beers, went with a recommendation from our waiter and it was a really great Irish pale ale, the name I can't remember now. Warm and friendly service which is hard to find these days. Highly recommend.
A. C.
Only giving a 3 star because of previous good experience. For 2nd time in a row no guacamole with the guac and chips. Went back to collect and the guac was so bad it was chucked in the bin. Asked for the chicken burger without blue cheese dressing, but had the dressing. Overall very bad, but from previous experience, won't stray from their pizzas if there is a next time
S. M.
Lovely little spot for for brunch. Plenty of options on the menu to choose from and great customer service. Can't wait to go back
R. M.
Had the taco box at home lastnight for Valentine's and it was sooo delicious. Didn't even get around to eating the brownie yet as we were stuffed! Would definitely recommend this and plan to get it again soon.
N. M.
Our favorite local restaurant, we can't stop going going back!
Fantastic pizza and great drinks selection, not to mention the delicious starters and sides. Frequently updating the menu and offering specials every week, always check the specials board before ordering.
They're always happy to see us and provide friendly and efficient service.
Don't forget to try the brunch on weekends too!
Don't pay much attention to the bad reviews here, they are mostly issues with Deliveroo not the restaurants fault. They're usually from people who are more used to large cheap pizza delivery chains, which I like too, but are a different style to this more authentic and individual pizza restaurant.
Visit the restaurant for the full experience!
b. g.
Got pizza and fries, ordered them on delivroo, pizza tasted fantastic, only problem is it was cold and came like this
C. O.
Lovely Pizza and fries (parmesan and garlic fries). Only issue was that they don't do pints of soft drinks (coke cola). Nice staff and good atmosphere. Also, with the door open there is a very slight draft but it's nice on a warm day.
E. W.
Delicious food and very friendly staff. Will be back.
A. H.
While the premise of this place seems a little boring, and not suitable for a restaurant – it's just beer and pizza – they manage to add a certain quality to the food that makes it special in its own way. The charred dough is fantastic, the selection of beer is fairly wide, and the flavours of everything else is great
The atmosphere here is nice, if a bit loud (I wish they'd lower the volume of the music a bit). But it was all in all an enjoyable experience.
Overall; The Revolution is exactly what it claims to be. And it's a place I would recommend to anyone who wants a good pizza.
A. M.
Although the pizza itself was very tasty, the crust was dissapointing as it was soaking wet from all the toppings.
C. P.
Amazing pizza! Rich and tasteful!
A. N. S.
If you haven't had their pizza, you're missing out. To put it in one word - delicious. If only the price per pizza could be a little cheaper, .it could be a go to place on weekends. Sadly because it's expensive it's only a treat rarely.
H. C.
Being lucky enough to live close to The Revolution means we order from or eat in here at least once every two weeks- for the past four years! Cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant, we've tried nearly every item on the menu at this stage and never been disappointed. Their parmesan garlic fries are hands down the best chips I have ever had, not just in Dublin but anywhere. Both dinner and brunch are absolutely excellent, and the bottomless mimosa brunch is a great addition to any weekend, while the deals every night of the week (€10 pizza Mondays, Taco Tuesdays, Wings Wednesdays) provide a great excuse to drop in for a midweek meal. Paul and the whole team are always friendly, accommodating and welcoming, as well as providing top notch food every time.
B. I.
We visited here for brunch and we were not disappointed the place has a very relaxed vibe about it and the staff do everything they can to make your stay an enjoyable one.
We ordered the breakfast burrito and the smashed lemon avocado dishes and both were excellent well cooked and plenty of food on the plate.
There is also an option for bottomless mimosas which we did not take up today but we probably will on our next visit!
We intend to return very soon again. many thanks to everyone!
M. C.
Best pizza in Dublin. Staff are amazing, especially Lucy! She's always so lovely and makes it an even more enjoyable place to be. Bottomless mimosas are class!!!
S. B.
Great food served in a relaxed atmosphere
C. R.
This place is a unique experience. It's charming, with great staff and a nice simple menu (it's refreshing to see this compared to menus with over 40 different things meaning the food is not fresh or cared for - this is not the case here.)
Most importantly, after having one bad experience, the manager did get in contact with me and was super professional and polite. I'll have to admit I jumped to a wrong conclusion, but the manager's evident care for the food industry was clear as day. I changed my opinion immediately after talking to him.
It's great to have a restaurant that handles food, experiences (good and bad) and customers with great care and professionalism. All the essentials of having the ultimate dining experience. Will be coming back. Thanks to all at the revolution!
T. S.
Wonderful place to have dinner, sophisticated menu with amazing pizza, really kind staff!!!!
B. C.
excellent food. pizzas are fab and a great selection. small intimate setting. need to book though. special offers throughout the week. very helpful and friendly staff.
B. K.
Great pizzeria that also offers pasta, meat and fish dishes. There's an interesting range of bites or starters and desert was good too. A good but limited wine selection, we had the Rioja. Very good. It's a small place and it was very busy so I'd recommend booking in advance. However we managed to get a seat at the bar at short notice where we could watch the pizza chef at work. The staff were lovely and it made for a wonderful romantic evening for the two of us.
F. C.
Best pizza in dublin. And as for starters. Brilliant. Pulled pork one excellent. Share starters. Keep some room. Great wine list and craft beers on tap.
R. M.
Always enjoy the food here. I love the spicy wings and the steak tacos. The revolution pizza is great too! Lovely to sit in the bottlers and have a pizza brought into you. Keep up the good work!
R. W.
Have never been here before even though I drive past every day so decided to stop in. Section looked good, staff were super friendly and helped with recommendations! The food was very tasty and came out quickly but the portions were too small for the price and the food wasn’t as hot as I’d like but it was enjoyable.
E. T.
My husband and I came to Dublin on vacation and The Revolution became our place to eat! Great food (especially the pizza), friendly and amazing service, and the desserts are a must as well!! Thank you to The Revolution for helping make our vacation even better!
C. K.
This place is usually packed (even though it opens late in the evening) but if you're there when it opens, like we were, you'll probably find a table. Pizza is very tasty and well made. I recommend the Basil Fawlty. Beer is very very nice but comes at a heft price, I think I ordered a can for about 8 euros. Well worth a visit!
S. K.
I have been here a few times and everytime the food has been amazing, and all of the staff are fantastic. Highly recommend this for dinner and brunch at the weekend.
A. M.
The pizza was phenomenal! i’ve never had such an incredible margo in my whole entire existence it really changed me... i’m sad to say i was a vegan before i came here but that cheese changed my ways and i regret nothing. After having the garlic dip i proceeded to ask for another one to bring home with me so i could try and pretend i was still at this delightful restaurant. Don’t even get me started about the staff! OMG!! they were so friendly and welcoming and catered to all my needs. Everyone needs to go here asap !!
P. L.
Great local restaurant, friendly staff, good value, good food and drink
C. O.
Really like Revolution. Very central in Rathgar so you'd be better walking there. Good selection for brunch and reasonably priced. They do bottomless Mimosas for just €15 and they are very quick to refill your glasses unlike a few places where you've to keep asking! Staff are extremely friendly and helpful! They also do midweek specials! Only there once but I will be back!
J. M.
I would like to offer a perspective from an ex-employee - a server.
OWNERSHIP
Paul, the owner, is a kind person who loves and genuinely cares about what he does. He wants to give the customers the best and treats the staff in the best manner too.
FOOD QUALITY
The food quality is absolutely top. We got fresh deliveries multiple times a week and 97% of dishes are made from scratch the same day served. You don´t see this everywhere.
APPROACH
Paul is a big-hearted person, with a fair approach to the business. I got the feeling of mentorship, supervision, reliability, and care. All of these show. People who work there and happy, do their job with love and bond together as a team, or as Paul calls it "a family".
FAIRNESS
The staff is treated very kindly. We got the roster up to 2 weeks in advance, which makes life so much easier. Plus any kind of requests for special days off was mostly granted.
The tips earned get distributed among every member of staff, including the kitchen porter. Paul never takes any of them, although he would work the shift as a server too.
FLEXIBILITY
The restaurant offers local food and both the local and international seasonal selection of beverages.
Every customer is different and some of us have all sorts of food allergies. There are quite a few vegetarian and vegan options and after my recommendation, Paul included a couple more gluten-free options in the menu as well.
Every day I went to work, I knew it was going to be a good day - both because I was looking forward to working with the colleagues and I was looking forward to seeing the new and returning customers who also reflect the restaurant´s wellbeing.
In short - I recommend the place wholeheartedly. Besides it being an amazing hip place with a top food it has a kind approach to the staff too.
If you have worked in this business, you know you tend to see all sorts of things going on backstage, but this place is a prime example of how it should work. I have only good memories.
Thanks for everything!
D. D.
Great place for brunch. The burrito is really good but could do with more sausage. The kids pizza is good and very big. We will definitely be back soon.
L. v. d. B.
I would give 5 out of 5 just because is not possible to give it more, i worked here for about 7 months or so, and it was an amazing experience, the atmosphere is superb, i felt as if we were a really good team and i will miss them all. Needless to say that all the ingredients are of a very high quality and fresh, personal suggestion will be "mac and cheese" 😋
R. L.
Very good pizza, excellent tacos and good selection of beers. I ordered the tacos I just wish they served 3 instead of 2, for 15 euro I'd just like a little more.
J. G.
Had the Revolution stone bake pizza, absolute quality. Great service and good chilled atmosphere. All the deserts were fantastic (needless to say we tried them all).
K. C.
The beef tacos are yum yum yum! I always order them! Pizzas are nice too! And they have Kriek - Belgian cherry beer - hard to find in Ireland
J. O.
Have been here for dinner a few times. Pretty good pizza. Nice cozy atmosphere and friendly staff.
J. B.
Food is delicious staff can be a little moody should you dare ask to be seated at a window table
