The two male staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. They were the best thing about the experience. The food menu was limited enough - for context there were only three dessert options. They advertise that they offer takeaway but at midday Saturday they didn't have takeaway coffee cups available. My cousin and I ordered mimosas, waffles eggs benny and sourdough toasted. When the food arrived it was cold. The mimosa was excellent - one of the nicest I've ever had. The quality of the food was great it was just disappointing as it was cold.

Come here for their marvelous pizza and other goodies. Outdoor seating is great on a summer's evening with nice view overlooking the river. Good selection of beer and friendly staff.
L. D.
Came here for brunch as we went on the hunt in Dublin. We had the eggs bennys with waffles and two cappuccinos. Even though double jabbed asked to sit outside, waiters really attentive and gave us a table straight away, we arrived just after 11 (they open at 11)
Cappuccinos not a great size, but waffles 🧇 were yummy €15 (slightly spenny) but that’s Dublin for you.
Tables around us having lunch.
A good outdoor area for eating and a good vibe.
Thank you

Had a fantastic meal here recently. Great spot for outdoor dining. Great menu and cocktails. Had a great table on their rooftop area. Pizzas were absolutely delicious... possibly one of the best I've ever had...black pudding, goats cheese, caramelised onion superb!! As for the Rhubarb & Pistachio pavlova yummmmm!! Very affordable and really great staff. Highly recommended!
A. T.
Very basic menu with limited food options, however the food was fresh and tasted good. It is a bit more expensive, I guess due to the location. Friendly staff, but a very average restaurant, so not a place to recommend if you'd like to try a more traditional cuisine.

The best steak I ever had .. it was juicy , tender, loaded with flavour and no fat at all. If you are trying steak for the first time I highly recommend this place .. and go for well done steak 🥩 ❣️ . Their streak is served with leafes and and a gravy of our choice .. I have tried from other places too ..but didn't like it as much I liked it from here ..

If your looking for a fine restaurant experience, then The Woollen Mills is a must. The restaurant itself is setup beautifully from the open kitchen downstairs, the 1st floor setup and the rooftop terrace. Our server was very friendly and chose a beautiful bottle of Malbec to compliment the steak meal. The food itself was bursting with flavour and was far from bland. My only discrepancy is that I asked for a medium rare cook but it was more rare than anything else but I didn’t kick up a fuss because it was a busy Saturday night, that cook itself is hard, and my partners steak came out perfect as a medium well. Thanks, to the manager who accommodated us without a booking, it was very much appreciated. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Amazing place, perfect service. It's a pity I couldn't eat pizza, but next time. But the cider is unique! 🍻❤️ I ate fish and chips, it was tasty, not greasy, the sauce was very nice. Thanks!
T. A.
Best English breakfast I've ever had and a nice place overall with a pleasant atmosphere and reasonable prices.
Would come back!

Outdoor seating was quite warm with the heaters. Pizzas were amazing and the service is extremely fast! A booking is needed.

Great brunch location with excellent staff. I had to reschedule a couple of times and they were more than accommodating. Food and drinks are top notch, I’d recommend the waffles! Will be back again soon.

I love the Woollen Mills for casual good with friends or family. Outdoor seating. Lovely staff. Interesting comfort food. I love their take on nachos and their mussels and lunchtime sandwiches. Great wine selection and unique homemade lemonades (which can of course be spiked).
L. N.
Really nice pizzas. Cocktails were delicious and staff were very friendly. Really nice covered rooftop area for outdoor dining even if the weather is bad with heaters for cold days
E. B.
Relaxed vibe, friendly staff and lovely food. I loved the Turkish eggs and my friend enjoyed the mussel dish.

Went to The Woollen Mills for brunch with my partner and a friend. The food was good, however the coffee wasn't, I ordered a late made with oat milk and I found it very basic. Hand drier in the man's toilet was broken. No blinds in the window to block the sunshine, since it was too bright and hard to chat and look to the others. Found a bit expensive too.

Nice brunch place in Dublin's city centre. Food is ok, no exceptional but nice nonetheless, the staff however was great, we had an amazing waitress who made us feels right at home. Always smiling, very nice to talk to, she was an absolute delight !
H. K.
Been here two times, once for lunch and another time for coffee and snacks.
Both times were great.
Lunch is 28 euros for 2 courses or 33euros for 3. We wanted dessert but we were so full after the mains that we had to skip dessert. The portions are really big and I think for that price it’s pretty good VFM. And everything is delicious!!
d. g.
I was there for lunch and there was a great selection of not your usual sandwiches, the bacon and cabbage croque madame was delicious! Good selection of local beers too. Service was very good and nice atmosphere. Big indoor and outdoor spaces
J. G.
Delicious food, lovely ambience, friendly and attentive staff
S. R.
Nice service! Great stuff! The Croatian girl that was serving us was amazing and professional!
Food was great. Loved the 4 chesee pizza that they make!
K. D.
Located right at the heart of Dublin city centre, perfect stop for cosy food after a long day of walking through town!
A. O.
Service was friendly and fast. Food was tasty. Portions were HUGE. We couldn’t possibly eat it all.
The drinks were well-priced and delicious too.
We were able to get a table without a reservation on a weekend but it was a stretch. Would recommend a reservation on busier days/times.
T. T.
We had such a delicious meal here, all of their food is well-seasoned, flavorful, and just rich enough to keep you eating (even when you think you're full!). I would gladly eat here next time I am in Dublin! Their bread pudding is to die for!
A. S.
Had a family lunch last Saturday and the staff couldn't have been any more attentive and friendly. From the guy who brought us to our table to the lady who served us our drinks and food, they were just lovely. We'll be back again soon :)

Amazing value, food and service. We arrived one hour early and with an extra person on top of our original booking for 4 to celebrate my daughter's graduation.
For Garry the manager that was no problem and we were immediately accommodated and made to feel welcome. Our 5th guest was 1 hour late so we drank cocktails and had 2 x the excellent nachos starter. Cocktails at €12 each didn't break the bank and were tasty so we kept them coming ;)
The menu is limited but there are good veggie options and something for everyone. We had 3 x veggie burgers and 2 x mussels. The helpings were very generous and the waitresses very helpful.
The atmosphie had a lovely buzz and looking around everyone else was enjoying themselves. The time flew and our table had to be made ready for the next sitting. Gary moved us over to another table and helped us move so we carried on with cocktails until 10pm having a lovely time.
When we got the bill it was less than I thought and a 12.5% service charge was added. I asked if this went to the staff and it did so I added another tip on top to round it to 20% as the waitresses were attentive and always watching us to make such we were well looked after while remaining in the back ground. We got more cocktails and when I went to settle the bill I mentioned it was a graduation party and it transpired that Garry had gone to the same college as my daughter.
The next minute we were delivered delicious lime shots on the house.
The whole evening was better than we could have hoped for and this was down to the staff and delicious food of the Wollen Mill. My wife, my two daughters and their best friend could not recommend this restaurant highly enough.
Well done to the Wollen Mill for being able to deliver such a quality experience at such a competitive price. Big thanks to Garry and his team - exceptional!

We were wandering around looking for a restaurant when it started to rain. Ducked in for a convenient place to eat and it was a delightful surprise! We started with a meat and cheese platter with house made flat bread, olives, roasted peppers and jalapeños. Wonderful! Then we shared the kimchi chicken burger. Great new addition to the menu! I highly recommend stopping here for a bite to eat!
A. M.
Pleasant place to have lunch. Good athmosphere, good menu choice and drinks list, staff friendly and helpful. Great place to stop for a break in shopping and to meet friends
S. D.
What a great menu! Everyone in our group found something that fit exactly what they wanted. Everything came out great. Good options for vegetarians as well. Super nice staff.
Y. R.
Food is good. It's a really good place to have an authentic Irish breakfast, which consist I eggs, sausage, bacon and bread. It's a recommended place and a something good to eat. Quantity is enough and even to share if you don't eat a lot.
Personal is amazing!
N. M.
Both breakfast menu and lunch menu were varied, interesting and delicious (classy but not poncey modern top-end gastro stuff with a variety of influences) and came with an outrageous selection of cocktails. I mean, properly good. Those and service defo 6 stars. We didn't even try the posh stuff or the dinner menu and I'm still certain the food was an easy 5 stars. Add to this the beautiful terrace and views (the rain on the awning was just lovely) plus the absolutely sensational service and you have yourself a pretty top notch restaurant experience.
S.
We came here without reservation. The sun was shining on the terrace. We could choose where we sat. Lovely menu & drinks. I chose the vegan beetroot, apple & fennel burger with the added avocado-vegan cheese combo with lovely tasty baked potato wedges inclusive veganaise! It was the best fresh home-made & fabulous vegan burger I ate for a long while! Amazing flavours! My husband took a soup with wrap on the side. The wrap was tasty but not fabulous. Very friendly staff & the prices are okey for the good portions & quality! Loved it! If you like good food, great atmosphere & good prices, go here!
C. K.
Sneaky service charge applied
Beautiful tasty food but was left with a sour taste in the mouth when a 10% service charge was added to the bill - for a party of two! Was told this was due to covid and all other restaurants were doing the same….not aware of anyone else doing it tbh. Menu outside the restaurant does not refer to it either.
Acknowledge it’s only 10% and I usually tip more than this anyway, but annoyed that it was forced on me.
J. L.
Great food and lovely staff, we were treated so well by Tony, who was wonderful with our young daughter
E. G.
We recently held our baby boys humanist naming day ceremony here and it was truly wonderful! We hired the roofrop terrace and it could not have been a more perfect picturesque setting. The planning process was made so much easier thanks to Gary, Pearce and Jitka's promt responses via email.
Jitka overlooked the final presentations and decorated the space exactly as i wanted and it looked so beautiful.
The waiters on the day were lovely and so courteous and hard working and really made the day so enjoyable from the excellent food to keeping everyones glasses full. All 40 of ours guests couldn't believe how nice the food was. A massive thank you to everyone at The Woollen mills. We can't wait to pop by again for some lunch and to say hello. I cant recommend this place enough for an event!
J. C.
Amazing food with great service. On the expensive side but delicious nonetheless. Waiter was humorous too!
N. P.
Really delicious food and welcoming staff. Clean and tidy place.
O. E.
Nice ambiance. Good food. Amazing location. Ambiance and the food are trendy and cool. The service is friendly. They have an extensive vegetarian options, which we really appreciated. The veggie burger is solid. The fries are top notch. The soup of the day was good. They have honey on display for selling but they don’t use it in their own products and servicing, as we asked for some honey with our coffee and they just got us commercial honey rather than what they sell, which I found a bit hypocritical (and told our waitress about the issue). The bathrooms are a mess.
D. M.
The reason I am giving 3 stars is because the food was gorgeous and delicious but the service was not so great. Staff forget to bring part of your orders which you requested 3 times the same thing. The view is nice which I could admire Penny's Bridge. The location is very central. I would go back again and give another chance.
J. O.
Excellent staff. Food and Cocktails were delicious. Staff were very accommodating by allowing us to move table to have a bit of a view. I would definatly recommend
M. B.
The coffee cup I got here spilt. The aesthetic was nice, and I just used the bathroom, but the coffee cup didn’t seem to hold the liquid too well... continued to drip all over the place. Probably not their fault, but gotta fix those cups!
C. K.
Lovely food, excellent service.
M. G.
Beautiful place. Warm and cozy. Delicious food and exceptional service. Very friendly staff. Must visit. Highly recommended.
I. G.
Great dinner last night. Been a while since I was last there but will definitely be back soon.
J. B.
Good service and fresh food. The Mocha and caramel salted brownie topped with caramel icecream are my favourites! Breezy spot for a brunch!
B. M.
Very enjoyable meal at the restaurant . Nice seating arrangement outside with heaters.
Good selection on the menu
P. K.
I ordered a plain scone with raspberry jam. I got a raspberry scone. I also ordered plain yogurt and got raspberry at the bottom. I have a mild allergy to raspberry and so I ate top off the yogurt and scraped the raspberry off. In their defense I didn’t say I was allergic. But plain means plain. My companion had the peanut butter and jelly French toast. Not as good as she expected
M. E.
Weekend lunch menu was very limited, but the veggie nachos were best I ever had. The staff were super friendly too
A. N.
Went here for lunch on a Saturday.
We craving some sandwiches so had a look at the sambo options. For a soup and sambo it’s 12€ so it seemed like a good deal.
I had the turkey and cheese sandwich as recommended by the waiter - the waiter said I couldn’t substitute anything as they were pre made and would just put it to heat. I was thrown off by that as I thought they would prepare it fresh but went with it anyway. I chose the chicken soup to go with it.
When it arrived the presentation was home-y. And after the first bite I was actually impressed - a well balanced sandwich with great ingredients. Turkey , cheese , pickles, guacamole, and red peppers all combined with chipotle sauce. And the soup was very home-y and warming !
Overall great little lunch, but felt a little out of place for the type of restaurant it seemed to be going for.
J. F.
The menu has been reduced quite a bit and although the food was of good quality it was quite expensive for what we had. Staff were really lovely.
H. d. R.
A little overly busy, so unfortunately no room for spontaneous visits on a Friday evening. Yet a pretty good gin marinated salmon!
F. D.
We came here for a boozy brunch. It was delicious. I recommend the waffles sandwiches and the homemade juices. Cocktails are also fantastic. However, I would have expected more choice on the vegetarian/vegan side. Except for that I definitely recommend it. Book in advance if you don’t wanna be disappointed.
J. M.
Great food, great cocktails, great service, and lovely surroundings. What more can you ask for!?
A. K.
Yummy cocktails and nice pizza. Staff are also lovely. A great place for a casual meet up with friends.
F. M.
Great central location. Sheltered outdoor dining option. Friendly service. Interesting menu.
L. T.
Fabulous place. Food was delicious, their outside setup was warm and cosy and the staff were fun and friendly
M. N.
Food was great, and drinks were amazing and affordable for Dublin prices. Next time we are getting the mussels
M. D.
Food was brilliant and staff where really friendly.. we had an 18 month old with us and they where very accommodating..
A. P.
Friendly staff, delicious meals and great location 👍🏼
D. S.
Lovely brunch. Clean and tidy. Very clean toilets.
B. F.
Great selection of dishes and one that I was really surprised to see. I've been searching for Irish coddle for a very long time and had the pleasure to try it here. All I can say is... Awesome!
S. M.
The food was good, we were seated very quickly. This was a wonderful place.
S. B. N.
Lovely place and great food! Not the biggest menu, but less can be more sometimes. And here, that’s the case 😊
C. F.
From breakfasts to sandwiches to desserts, this food will totally fullfil any if your desires! Service is fast, waiters are caring and food is not too expensive
A.
Nice food, very nice staff and great location
d. f.
Great cafe, lovely coffee, lovely choice of sambos for a bite to eat and cake or pastry's afterwards, friendly staff & quick service!
R. G.
Cinnamon roll and Nutella coffee was amazing staff very friendly and welcoming.
Good selection of others sweets for a nice coffee break 😊😊😊
R. R.
Coddle here was decently flavorful but nothing outstanding - not sure if it’s just the recipe or the specific preparation at The Woollen Mills. The restaurant itself is pleasant with lots of light and staff are nice enough although there wasn’t anything special about the whole experience
E. -.
Lovely restaurant for food staff so welcoming and friendly, i go regularly
J. T.
Great steak, nice atmosphere and nice table service. Really enjoyed it. Great location in Dublin BTW.
R. K.
Very tasty food, friendly ambiance, good wines.
J. M.
Went here for lunch in September 2020. As it was a nice day we sat on the patio, which is such a great spot for people watching. We got sweet potato cakes with bloody Mary sauce for starters which was so good! Then we both had the ham and cheese toastie for main, which was a very tastey posh toastie that was so filling.
Love the use of Irish ingredients across the menu for food and the beer from local Dublin breweries. Staff were lovely too, will literally be dreaming of that toastie for the next few weeks. UNREAL!
R. S.
Excellent food, not too unreasonably priced for such a foodie place in Dublin. Great value for money on the gruel menu items, you get SO MANY CHICKEN WINGS!!
M. G. P.
Superb brunch in the heart of Dublin. Great food, excellent service and very cozy atmosphere.
F. R.
I stopped here for breakfast after attending a concert the night before, I had the fry up! Would definitely be back again, everything was cooked to perfection and the staff and service was really good.
Y. M.
Lovely staff, good sized portions, yummy brunch. Will surely visit more.
P. Q.
Great place for lunch and view from the upstairs sitting area Omg amazing. Food was tasty . 😺👍
R. A.
Wonderful venue with really good food.
P. K.
The best Sunday fry is the one you make in the comfort of your own home... but the woollen mills is a close second. Restaurant was very busy when I walked in but every member of staff was chilled and relaxed. Beautiful coffee as always and the only thing I didn’t like about the fry was the beans which I found to be a bit unnecessary overall. Pricing is very reasonable and that’s spoken as a broke student. There’s something on the menu for all taste buds and price ranges and service is impeccable every time.
C. A.
Overall tasty but for it being a lunch I payed too much and the sandwich didn't even come hot.
J. C.
Excellent spot with tasty food and generous proportions. Staff are on the ball and friendly.
Covid precautions are enforced too with staff wearing face masks properly, distanced tables, ventilation and doors left open so you do not have to touch the handles.
Would highly recommend.
J. S.
Fabulous place for breakfast. They have beautiful terrace with views of Ha'penny Bridge.
C. K.
Food is good, bit bland. But location is good and prices decent. Staff is friendly and quick with service
P. J. W.
Very decent lunch in a great location. Imaginative use of quality ingredients, but on the pricey side.
N. G.
Recommended by a friend, who is proffecional sous chef in Michelin restaurant. Food splendid! Service just great. We were welcomed and seated in a couple of minutes, though we hadn't booked a table. Definitely met our expectations and by all means!
G. E.
Delicious food and friendly staff.
F. &. S. P.
Great evening of outdoor dinning even in the rain, great staff, food very tasty, best day out in a long time & will definitely be back
T. S.
We went there for NYE dinner. 50€ menu which is good value for money. Staff is very friendly. The venue is nice. But the food unfortunately is nothing special. We ordered organic smoked salmon as a starter, it was ok but not great. My boyfriend ordered the ham croquettes, and they were very good. As a main he had the bacon rib and I had the cod fillet, but the portions were huge, we could not finish. I was expecting a more imaginative meal for NYE, better spices, more ingredients than just what we had. We were full so barely did not eat the desserts.
D. M.
Very nice service and highly general menu.
P. F.
Lovely place, all sorts of arts & crafts
B. S.
Very good dinner in Dublin!
L. D.
We booked their private dining room for a party of 21 for late Sunday lunch. The room and atmosphere was lovely for a family celebration. The food was excellent, the staff were extremely helpful and attentive. We will definitely go back.
L. S.
Had a delishes lunch and the staff were friendly helpful.
M. P.
I was there with a group of people and will definitely come back with visiting friends. We were seated in the upper terrace and it was splendid. The view was great. There were two girls who were taking care of us and they were so nice. Also they had lovely vegetarian and vegan options. I did not drink but people seemed to enjoy their wine.
D. H.
Great place, nice and relaxed and the staff were super! All of the food was top notch also!
P. G.
One of the best vegan burgers in Ireland. If someone's looking for an actual plant-based burger, then this is the place to be, unlike many others which are mock-meat.
It's very filling as well, comes with a good amount of fries!
H. R.
Good vegan pizza. Friendly staff. Would come back :))
R. K.
Fab food and staff are so sweet, a One of a Kind place. Their Earl Grey teas in a cast iron teapot, lovely. Breakfast is huge and soup and sambos wonderful. I've had dinner there numerous times, never disappoints. Outside seating area handy for smokers
J. S.
It was a great burguer with a great service. Would love to go again.
D. V. V.
Restaurant is nice and food was delicious. They accommodated me with my vegan wishes. Interesting thing is that staff said to me they have 5 diff vegan desserts, and I ordered one, but they completely forgot they didn't bring it, but charged for it. It was all resolved at the end.
C. C.
First time trying a chilly dog and really enjoyed it. Staff were very attentive and professional.
y. f.
Lovely for people watching a bit pricey for tea but enjoyed it
L. L. B.
The ambiance, the location, the food, the wine was good! Quality / price is well balanced, we had the burgers (beef and vegan) and the chips and it was good enough for us to have a great evening amongst friends. Not a “must go” type restaurant though. This would merit a 4 in my book.
I am giving a 3 because unfortunately the service was horrendous. I had a reservation and when I arrived at the counter, it took 5 minutes for the hostess to lift her eyes from what she was doing and acknowledged me with a “can I help you” and no smile. I responded I had a reservation for 4 and she said follow me and took us to our table with not one smile or usual “how are you doing this evening”.
The waiter was equally disturbingly rude: no smile, when my friend asked a question about the menu he looked at her as if she had grown 3 horns and answered “I don’t know”. He took our order and never came back to see if we were enjoying the meal.
It’s a shame because it’s something that could be so easy to fix by the staff. They are letting their cooks and their great location down.
Walking out I had a “meh” overall feeling about the place.
M. L.
The food is great, however, the atmosphere is not the best with the open, loud kitchen next to the tables. They also forgot about a dish we ordered. So, one of us had to wait very long for their food and all the others had then a cold brunch plate. If you don't get a space anywhere else, it is OK but in general I'll go to different brunch places in the future.
D. D.
Totally taken by surprise at this place. Food was amazing, like proper amazing, wine was fantastic, service was quick and the staff. Wow. This is one of those places who hire and train professional waiting staff. The kind that are real pros and make you feel like a celebrity. I feel the owners, managers, chefs and table staff take immense pride in what they do and it really shows. I'm gutted I only visited here for the first time in my 30s. Everything that's good about a proper dining experience, you'll find here.
R.
Super great place for lunch. We had a 2 course lunch menu and it was very good.
The ox tongue is a very special dish and I highly recommend it.
Another special dish for fish lovers is the ray wing, very unique. Their burger is awesome but really difficult to eat, as it falls apart straight away. Prepare tour fork and knife then.
The interior is also very unique and modern.
P. A.
Food was absolutely delicious! Was happy to finally eat more than fish and chips or stew. The cocktail choices were lovely and varied. We tried going to The Winding Stair but they were full and directed us just around the corner to this spot. Great recommendation!!!
R. H.
Very nice food. Tried the beetroot, fennel and apple burger which was awesome. Never had a vegan burger before so thought would try. The atmosphere was fine - I suppose contemporary chic springs to mind.
N. S.
Only went in for a drink staff and service excellent, your tea comes on a lovely cast iron teapot. Good selection and tasting tea, a to chose from. The cakes and scones made on site are great. Nice surroundings and view on to the river.
N. T.
I recently ate here while visiting this lovely city. ..had NO IDEA what to order, asked the owner for his opinion and let him chose, and it was DELICIOUS!!! It was so different and delightful. The wait staff was attentive and the atmosphere charming. When I return to Dublin, I will absolutely return And eat here!
M. C.
Barely arrived in Dublin via the aircoach when I found this hidden gem, which ticked all the boxes. The staff were warm and highly attentive and the food was to die for. I will definitely return here for another if not several more meals. Thank you to the kind gent who served me you were warm and welcoming, and the reason I'll return. Apologies for not getting your name.
M. S.
One of my favourite restaurants (not only in Dublin, or Ireland.) The food is simply excellent, original in the combination of ingredients and in the presentation. The atmosphere is unique, and the staff are nice and very professional. Very convenient location by Ha'penny Bridge. Usually very busy, especially at weekends. Absolutely recommended, you must try it!
O. O.
Nice place, well presented food, the salads were excellent
J. A.
Delicious food and friendly staff. I had homemade waffles with berries and yogurt.
S. C.
Wife and I had a really tasty dinner. Interesting dinner menu. Attentive but not intrusive staff and a great location with lots of hustle and bustle outside the window for people watching.
A. E.
Great upscale food without the stuffy environment. Had the burger and poached haddock in separate occasions and both were awesome. Nice little beer bottle selection. Reasonable prices. Right next to the bridge that leads over to temple bar area. Great place.
P. K.
Nice place for a cup of tea, sitting in the sun. Very busy with lots of people eating a range of food. I was Impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the waiting staff who served all whether for a cup of tea or full meal. I will return.
A.
Have been there twice and each time i was positively surprised how generous are the portions served here. Food is really good and very mixed in terms of cuisine so pretty sure everyone can find something they fancy. Nice spot in a very central location right beside half penny bridge.
Z. F.
Great staff and chilled ambiance. A good menu but unfortunately the actual execution/delivery from the kitchen doesn't quite live up to expectations or the descriptions. . . making it pretty average food overall.
C. H.
Enjoyed the early bird menu. Very hearty, delicious food. Good wine options. Comfortable surroundings and great location.
Stylish, aloof staff who are more interested in chatting to each other than to customers though.
L. N. C.
It's nearly impossible to order at this place, 90% of the menu is a little dream come true. The dishes are varied and every one seem to be honed to perfection. I honestly can't recommend eating here enough. Prices are slightly high, but worth every penny for a treat. Portions are also pretty generous, so you get your money's worth all round.
Staff are extremely attentive, but are never overbearing, and all are very friendly. One of the best brunch experiences in the city.
N. M.
Lovely roof top bar. Menu quite limited and beer menu is just IPAs which is disappointing
C. H.
Very good brunch menu to rival Dublin's best. From my visit the food served also lived up to the quality of the menu. Price on the high side but worth it when you can get a dining spot with a view over the halfpenny bridge. Such a setting can make it a quintessential Dublin experience. To sum it up worth a visit if you are nearby and feeling peckish! 👍
R. P.
Was able to sit out. Food is excellent. Had the breakfast and noted the great emphasis on good product resulting in a wonderful taste. Good value for a good product
M. D.
Nice food but a bit pricy
M. G.
Was there with my partner for the early bird menu yesterday, I went for the 3 course @€29, it say its good very for money is a understatement, it was outstanding value. Clearly they use high quality ingredients and the portion sizes were perfect. Thanks The Woollen Mills, you made us two happy diners!
K. C.
One of the best meals I've had in Dublin. Amazing vegitarian options made with great ingredients, great wine. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is lovely!
R. G.
Food is ok but didn't feel i enjoyed it enough for what it cost. €16 for a coddle that tasted like potato soup. This might be for the tourists that might not enjoy the salty version my mother used to make but i didn't enjoy it. Staff friendly and it's a nice location.
O. V.
Food was a disappointment. Burger was nothing impressive and the wings were dry and overwhelmed with rosemary. the menu is really trying too hard and even though I've eaten around the world and there's very little I wouldn't try, this menu was too inaccessible and complicated. Also overpriced. The service was good and the staff are very pleasant. But I wouldn't come back here.
A. V. H.
GREAT food, amazing and polite and friendly service, good atmosphere! If it were possible to give 6 stars, I would. Everything is delicious, no matter what you order you will not regret. Highly recommended!
K.
While the servers were all very nice, the food here was somewhat basic and drinks less than expertly crafted. For example, the bacon ribs had an overwhelming flavor of...something. I like ribs of all kinds, but they weren’t saucy or bursting with good flavor. They were kind of like if overbooked bacon had jumped back on the bone. The mac and cheese was perfectly decent, and in no way exceptional. There are many other great spots in Dublin, and this rated merely a ‘meh.’

You can watch how your meal is prepared.
The food has a very good quality and is delicious. The restaurant has a lovely and comfortable atmosphere. It is also great for coffee and cake or breakfast.
The service is very friendly.
You should go there!
G.
Great venue for a quick bite. Need to go for a proper visit. The Nutella coffee promises more than its enticing looks deliver, go for a standard and save yourself the disappointment. Excellent staff and service
I. O.
Nice food, fast service.
M. G.
Always great food in The Woollen Mills and a very pleasant setting. The specials are always very nice, while the regular menu has something for everyone. Would definitely recommend if you enjoy good food.
C. R.
I really liked the atmosphere in this place, but sadly the service was lacking. I'm not sure who decided that it was ok to ignore a solo dinner, but I find it completely unacceptable. I spent a lot of time waiting to order and also to pay. I asked 2 different servers for the bill, waited about 15 minutes (with my wallet out and money visible indicating I wanted to pay) until I finally stood up and put my coat on. That got someone's attention. Tomato and red pepper soup was good, turkey sandwich was mediocre. Had a good beer.
N. A.
The brunch menu is just fantastic and so is the coffee quality. Very cozy atmosphere and super helpful staff. Service was extremely fast given the peak brunch hour. Definitely worth a visit.
H. A.
Really great service and tasty food. We were there for valentines day and they gave a complimentary cocktail on arrival. I'd reccomend the steak and the carpaccio. :)
Z. B.
Stopped in for brunch, menu was nice, food good but prices are set for tourist/ city clientele. Enjoyed my waffle, eggs, spinach meal but felt it was a little over priced. Staff efficient and place was busy.
E. G.
Limited and overpriced choice of food although the majority of things we ordered were tasty.
Staff made us feel like we were putting them out by having a meal there and then added 12.5% service to the bill.
Staff aside the general ambience was pleasant.
A. P.
Unique trendy breakfast spot ... The butternut squash w poached egg dish was amazing! Fresh pressed juice, quality coffee .... Comfortable seating ... We stayed and planned for more than two hours with no hassle. Would definitely recommend for good people!
R. O.
Great location. Friendly staff. Quick service and clean place. Would recommend the steak sandwich and chips (best chunky chips I’ve had). Would recommend and will return
M.
We had our Christmas Dinner in this Restaurant one evening in December
Meal as usual was very delicious but the service for the second time wasn't good. Waiters and waitress (gray aprons and gray sack - probably Supervisors) were not friendly at all and they did not have positive energy which would invited guests to return.
F. S.
While their dinner menu and wine list is worthy of praise, the real winner for me is the soup/sandwich/salad combos. Really good price and tasty. Especially on the terrace on a warm day
A. H.
One of the best places to dine in the North side of the city centre.
Great for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Was also here for a wedding, for a Christmas Party and a work conference.
They seem to do it all, and they do it VERY WELL!
The staff are great, so professional and well trained, it's a prime location in the city and has great views over the River Liffey.
Go for a drinks, a snack or all the above ⬆️
F. C.
First dinner out aftel lockdown... Very positive experience at The Woollen Mills with nice customer service & superb food. 105 for 2 people with a bottle of the house white... Fair enough for Dublin.
F. R.
This was one place we were excited to return to for a second visit. The food was amazing, the service was friendly and the atmosphere was bright and open. Enjoy some food and tea here. You won't regret it.
J. B.
nice location by the Ha'penny bridge and the statue "hags with the bags" and lovely view of the River Liffey. Close to shops, night venues, historical locations and Temple Bar across the river. This place has nice coffee and shamrock flavoured crisps!
Venue is welcoming and friendly whether you are having a cuppa or eating out.
C. K.
We came with a baby, they were very friendly with her. They helped us with the stroller, gave the baby some (free) bread and were so kind and enthousiastic towards her. The food was really delicious and the waiters were also proffesional and very kind towards us. We had a great experience and would really recomment this place. With or without a child! They even explained the road back to our hotel.
S. H.
Fantastic Irish breakfast and splendid coffee!
D. R.
Brilliant food, friendly staff, what more do you need
J. J.
First things first guys this is a restaurant with a small section dedicated to take out coffee so when people complain that they cant just grab a coffee or desert only in here... You wont do it in any other restaurant so I guess issues is some people just get comfused about this place's purpose as they have take out coffee section.
Personally I had both food and take out coffee in here and have to say they do decent cuppa and their unusual breakfast muffins do hit the spot. As food goes was there for dinner before with a small group of friends and we all enjoyed the food. It took a while to cook now, but that's how real food is made. It was very fresh and well cooks not over cooked and very flavoursome so it is a bit on pricey side of the dining, but it's definitelly worth it when you get delivered quality food.
I would consider their coctail menu small now, but it wasnt bad they got a small variety of them varying fron sweet to more herbally ones so it's not your generic list you find in a local pub that started doing coctails which I appreciated as it was good way to finish off the meal with a little alcoholic treat.
If youre bringing someone out for a dinner you want to enjoy and dont mind spending a bit extra I would highly recommend this place. Or even if you are passing by and want a quick coffee and a muffin in the morning this place is definitely worth it :)
A. P.
Really nice food and friendly service. Would recommend. Quite expensive but quality is there to justify it
D. G.
Eaten here a number of times when I’ve visited Dublin. A really good Gastro pub, great food and good selection of beers. Staff are great too. Highly recommend going if in the area.
J. W.
Some of the best food I’ve had in Ireland! Iwas difficult to get the waiters attention throughout service and had to wait 15 mins for our jackets. Overall great experience
A. T.
Delicious lunch from varied and interesting menu. Excellent service: quick, friendly and polite. Will look forward to returning.
D. R.
Absolutely excellent. Loved every aspect, food, decor, ambiance and the most lovely waiter. Highly recommended.
A. M.
Incredibly overpriced for what you get. Having to pay close to 20 euro for what turned out to be a mediocre veggy burger was ridiculous. You also leave smelly of fried food due to inadequate ventilation in the open kitchen.
L. M.
I would rate the woollen Mills 10 stars if I could the atmosphere is great, always good music playing and a great buzz about the place. The food is Devine everything I've tasted I've loved. But the thing that makes the place is the amazing chefs and staff, so welcoming and friendly they are what makes the woollen Mills! I would highly recommend going here with family or friends!
M. M.
Went here last night for the early bird. Two courses for €24 which I thought was very reasonable! I'd wanted to go here for ages as anytime I passed it looked busy!
I had the ham hock croquettes for starter and they were delicious! For main I chose the tandoori salmon. It sounded really interesting when I saw it on the menu and I was not disappointed when it arrived!
We washed it all down with a French sauvignon blanc that tasted fresh and fruity. The girl was nice enough to allow us to taste it and the pinot grigio beforehand! Neither of us liked the taste of the pinot so we went with the French in the end.
We were both stuffed after (my friend got the vegetarian mixed platter) that we didn't spring for any desserts.
Overall I was very happy with the quality of the food, the value on the early bird and the very friendly staff. I liked the atmosphere there and the interior so I'll definitely be back again!
S. K.
I've visited The Woolen Mills many times. Since I appreciate quality coffee this place serves Bader and Dodo coffee. It's just great. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Uou can book the table over the phone no problem, but once you get there it's quite difficult to leave as food is great and selection of wines is even better. Great place for short or longer meetup with friends, or solo.
R. K.
It's fine. Our croissants were very cold, and then microwaved when we asked for them heated up (we heard the bing when it finished). This made them soggy, not crispy.
Its expensive for what it is.
M. G.
Slow but friendly service. Very nice terrace. Good good but not fab- had watermelon & tomato salad as well as chicken wings. No wow effect but well cooked. Cocktails not worth the money.
T. M.
Friendly efficient staff, nice brunch selection, good food. Very central for shopping. I'd recommend booking a table as it's quite popular, and deservedly so.
S. B.
Menu is a bit limited but food itself is all great quality and really well cooked. Service was great. Ask for table on the first floor by window. Fab views of the river and the ha'penny bridge. Not cheap.
J. G.
Lovely atmosphere and service. A nice, yet casual place to have dinner in Dublin. Delicious bread as well! :)
J. R.
I was looking for vegetarian options and they do offer several. I tried a sweet potato which was nothing special, but it's served with sour cream and lime, which was interesting because I've never had it that way before. The fregola was not tasty to me at all. I got the small and ended up eating only a couple bites. I usually order appetizers but was not interested in any of the choices at all. Service was fair. I made the mistake of sitting outside where smoking is allowed and that grossed me out.
C. O.
Average food and average service.
Food was only ok. Service they forgot us for most of the meal. Wine took too long to deliver. Desert took too long to order and bill too long to pay. Not exceptionally busy where I wouldn’t expect an occasional check in.
B. K.
I've eaten here three times in the last eight months and it has never failed to be top notch. Very helpful friendly staff. Good for small intimate dinners for two and larger groups.
H. M.
Really good food and service. Nice decor and overall great experience. 10% cover charge included in the Bill but the service was good enough to warrant paying it.
S. L.
Pretty good burgers. Central location right beside the hapenny bridge.
Friendly staff. Clean toilets.
Added 10 percent service to the bill for 3 of us. .
Would recommend
G. M.
Hadv2vgreat experiences before but my most recent visit the food was disappointing and they appeared overstaffed. We had to seek assistance anytime we wanted anything including desserts and then were asked to finish up as they needed the table. I think 2hours is a perfectly reasonable amount of time to allocate for dinner however the restaurant have an obligation to make that possible.
m. d.
everything was wonderful. i had the tuna wrap with wasabi, and tomato soup. the food was excellent except for the fact that i only tasted wasabi in the last bite and otherwise it basically tasted like a tuna mayo wrap.. nothing that special. my other half had the fancy ham and eggs and she loved it. food and service was amazing, so i can't really complain over a lack of wasabi. :)
S. T.
Fab food! The brisket Mac and cheese is crazy good and the egg waffle sandwich are homemade waffle. Service was great thanks Anne Mari.
E. R.
Buttersquash baji was unreal, so tasty
K. M.
I save 5 stars for places that really stand out. Was here with my wife, 1yr old and mother Easter weekend. We were just walking passed when the restaurant caught my eye so we stopped. Got a good table, which was lucky since it was the busiest day in Dublin in 100 years. Staff was so friendly and they treated my son like a champ. All that to say the Ha’penny Fry-up is hands down the best breakfast of my life!
I want to fly to Dublin just to have it again!
J. S.
The main reason my experience was so good was the service of one particular waiter who is attentive, affable and socially conscious. The sandwich was delicious as well.
S. R.
A unique food experience....
A very popular destination for lunch (I've only ever been there for lunch) where they have a great set selection of sambo's (sandwiches) which you can order in combination with a salad or soup.
What keeps me coming back regularly is the freshly prepared food and "exotic" combinations.
Ohh, and they do a GREAT burger too, one of the best I have tried in Dublin!
L. H.
Lovely little cafe/restaurant! As a single diner, the staff were friendly and I felt very comfortable. The food choices were great and really good value for the portion size.
R. M.
Delicious brunch with a wide range of vegetarian options
S. K.
Great restaurant. Delicious food, excellent service and casual environment. We ate on the covered patio and it was a nice atmosphere.
C. M.
Excellent food with huge portions, the crab claws are a must. The room itself is pretty cool but gets noisy with people chatting and some of the seating is a bit uncomfortable. Five stars for food and staff though :)
A. C.
Had the lovely Christmas Dinner here as past of our work Lunch out. Enjoyed it so much but would like Sprouts to be cook little longer.
J. V.
Great food, cocktails and service
E. R.
Pricy food, portions are quite small.
The place is nice, bustling and good spirits. The waiter was not very elegant in his way of talking to the customers and serving the food, especially when it is that price.
R.
Really good food! Before, I didn't think mac'n'cheese would work with brisket, now I can't see how those things DON'T go together. Good service too!
J. B.
I've only ever had lunch here, it's convenient for work but the food is just delicious. It's one of my favourite places over the northside to eat
J. W.
Nice food and great view from the roofterrace
M. P.
The restaurant I go everytime I visit Dublin
Δ. -. D. Μ. -. M.
Lovely place great food
G. O.
Lovely food,friendly staff🙂👍
D. W.
Even standard, overpriced for what you get, slow sevice from nice staff. Premesis are nice, there is an outside seating area upstairs too (this is better if you want to avoid the grime of Liffey Street). Deserts are small.
R. B.
It's ok but they could make their vego options more interesting. I had a sweet potato pancake dish which was smothered in tomatoe gunk which could have benefited by being not served as a stew as described on the menu but with all the ingredients given a chance to breath for themselvesand which would have made a much more attractive and interesting looking dish .
D. O.
For what you get, it's expensive, if you're resigned to prices in Dublin, then you'll love it, good food, comfortable place. Kids meals were same size as adults
S. F.
We went for lunch, the food is delicious, loads of space between tables, the staff are following covid guidelines.
J. N.
Comfortable and Historic. Great friendly service and reasonably priced Sunday Brunch. Don't forget to have a Scone !
S.
The Woolen Mills offers excellent meals and service. I esp loved the staff! They are very careful to ensure that everything is just right and all your needs are met.
D. G.
Nice food and interesting menu. Staff were very nice and helpful.
Only downside was that the washrooms are a little dated and grubby.
H.
I originally came here because I heard that is was the former work place of one mister James Joyce, and I love immersing myself in history (eg Idiot Cafe, St Petersbourg and anywhere Hemingway has drank!) Not only is this in a gorgeous building with really sweet and atmospheric views over the Liffey but the food, drinks and staff are second to none.
I really felt special with the service I got, which was stunning and made me feel really comfortable. I had the Mullet - you gotta try it! and then just stayed for way longer than I thought I would. Yup five stars from me. Go people.
K. 8.
Good location, friendly staff, but main course order is mandatory.Food was okay.
D. M. C.
Very friendly staff and tasty food. Higly recommend the venison. Upstairs seating area is very nice and chilled. Great selection of wines and beers.
L. J.
I just got a takeaway BLT from The Woollen Mills and it was one of the best things I’ve eaten in weeks ... delicious! Highly recommend!
C. O.
Had our staff Christmas lunch here. The food and staff were great. No nonsense food and good portions.
A. R.
All great but wish there were more vegan starters as the vegan burger was huge. Was amazing though
E. L.
Got a fish bag and it was amazing, the staff were attentive, my cocktail was amazing aswell. Loved it.

Their food is simply yummy! Fantastic locale, next to ha'penny bridge. We ended up chatting with a lovely couple from New Zealand.

Lovely place. Absolutely delicious food and first class service. Highly recommend!
K. K.
Pizza place upstairs is amazing, unusual toppings on their pizzas. The wings are so delicious. Good selection of craft beers.
J. W.
Excellent place. Everything is well prepared by excellent staff. Our waitress was a sweetheart. Thanks!!! But, the chairs are uncomfortable.
P.
Good brunch selection, generous portions, and very friendly staff! Recommend pre-booking a table for weekends as it can get quite busy.
S. R.
The food is always good but generally let down by the service. Every time we've gone here as a group, someone has been left waiting for food long enough that we think they've been forgotten about.
P. S.
Gorgeous food! Very very tasty, prime location to wonder around town afterwards. recommend it!
A. S.
They have a very original menu and everything is delicious. Good service too and great location. Just beside the Ha'Penny bridge.
M. D.
Nice coffee. The lunch menu has some interesting options but the gap in price between deli options (which I went for) and main courses makes it hard to choose mains.
K. H.
Really nice stop for a coffee, cake and lunch. The staff could have been a little more attentive but the coffee and banana walnut cake were lovely and the restaurant had a nice atmosphere.
M. C.
Food excellent, proper social distancing and cleaning of table and chairs before I was seated.
S. H.
Have been a number of times still waiting to be impressed. Food is nice but very expensive for what you get, nothing amazing in the flavours or service.
A. O.
Delicious food, reasonable prices, friendly helpful staff. Really lovely place.
R. H.
Nice place and great food. Grand spot for lunch. Value for money was good slightly expensive but got good food to match
N. S.
Had a perfect breakfast here. Good kitchen and fast service.
E. W. H.
Always like to call in when in Dublin to get James C Brett wool unfortunately they no longer do a good selection. Got buttons but was disappointed about my wool.
Still visiting though as have wool..knitting &Crotchet requirements plus material for sewing and importantlywhen l'm invited to a wedding the makings of a fasinator
N. G.
Unique place in the center of Dublin. Very varied and delicious menu; great for lunch and / or coffee. Try their daily soups!
J. E.
Nice meal. Steak was beautiful. Good selection of craft beers. Noisy upstairs with the roof closed.

Fabulous cosy ambiance with amazing food and wine right by the river Liffey. With a heated roof top terrace and large windows you can watch the world rush by.
G. g.
Beautiful food, lovely staff and right in the centre of town, couldn't recommend this place enough!
J. F.
It's a really nice place, but it is overcrowded and the menu lacks vegetarian items. Very complicated for vegans here. That's a pity.
F. S.
Food was Ok, A bit of extra flavour will get my 5 star
A. S.
Fresh and tasty food, super friendly staff, the sambos are amazing and the terrace is great!

This place doesn't leave a positive impression.
