First visit here this evening - we just called in as we were passing and we were really pleasantly surprised. American themed as expected and very tasty indeed. I had a lovely Caesar salad (served with sauce on the side as requested) and my partner had the smashed bacon burger which was amazing (I had to taste it to confirm!). The portion sizes were generous. Loved the lights to turn over to indicate service was required! Recommended!

One of the last places we visited in Dublin. Essentially a the Hard Rock Cafe of Dublin. Nice food and drinks and right in the Temple Bar strip of pubs and bars while being with walking distance of many attractions, this made it a bonus as it wasn't to far or to close to anything in specific. Overall a nice meal.

Great place with a real warm atmosphere from the moment you enter. If they have no tables available they give you an estimated time and send you a text which means you can go off and have a drink rather than hang around. Huge variety of food for every taste bud and extensive vegan menu although we have a family of carnivorous so chicken wings were the order of the day. Really good non intrusive friendly service. Great place for Kids to soak up the buzzy atmosphere with plenty of artifacts to catch their eye. No children after 7pm. Huge cocktail menu too and not too expensive especially for Temple bar prices. Catering for everyone from an intimate table for 2 , to families and large groups.

Biggest burger I've ever seen in my life, and I've eaten some burgers I tell you! Fantastic venue, attentive staff and great ordering system with the lights to let your waiter know your are ready etc. Well priced, very well portioned! A must in Dublin!

Thunder Road Cafe is one of my favourite places to visit and eat from in Dublin. It is a nice American themed restaurant with a lot going on inside, it is usually busy but the vibe is nice, the staff are hardworking and the food is lovely. The ribs fall right off the bones and are very juicy, by far the best ribs in Dublin. There’s a lot to see.

AMAZING PLACE! My partner and I recently visited Dublin for a city break and visited here on our first night. The staff were so welcoming and very accommodating. The food and drink were unbelievable! So much so that we went back the second night for more. Would highly recommend, I can’t wait to go back.

Had pre-booked and explained that my son was on the spectrum and that the last time we visited they put is into a quiet area and hoped they could do it again. On arrival, they explained the previous area we had been was turned into a private bar and no longer available. They then offered us a choice of locations. Both of which were fab. We got to our table and the manager lowered the volume in the section down which meant that my son didn't even need his ear defenders. I know the place wasn't too busy, why we booked for A Tuesday, but every single member of staff that we dealt with was amazing, so friendly and attentive. The food was excellent piping hot, would definitely recommend the Route 66 burger. Many, many thanks to the staff, so much appreciated by a grateful Dad.

We ordered burgers (Route 66 and Vegan), chips and coke from Thunder as we saw there was a 50% discount for orders above €20 on Deliveroo. There was nothing wrong with the order apart from the fact that the food was not warm, and the coke can was not cold. However, there was nothing particularly nice about the food either. We expected the burgers to be tastier. Not sure we would order again, definitely not for full price.

Café in the famous, central Temple Bar district. Nice atmosphere, but also somewhat loud and busy. They offer quite some vegan options, the brownie as a dessert e.g. was really delicious (but a little bit pricey). A big variety of drinks, cocktails etc. is offered.

Good service, delicious cocktails with some surprisingly good deals on drinks. 2 cocktails for E11, 2 jager shots for E6. The decor is really cool. I was disappointed with my meal, as I expected the food to be amazing but found mine a bit bland. I had mushroom and bacon pasta, and, garlic and cheese fries. The food is also a bit expensive for what it is. Overall I would go back for the atmosphere, decor and cocktails.

It's a good place to go for dinner before you head for a night out. They serve good cocktails! We ordered tomahawk to share for two and for the price you pay, it was decent enough. There was a 40 minute wait as we went on a busy Saturday evening, but we just stayed in the bar and had cocktails so it wasn't bad at all. The servers were really nice despite being under pressure due to a busy night.

Great place got seated immediately, only place in temple Street with vegan menu which is helpful to anyone who lactose intolerant or suffers from IBS, very friendly staff attentive and customer oriented, food was fantastic, not sure about food been served on blocks of wood can make food go cold to quickly, but we got served quite fast and food was delicious, not obey priced great cocktail menu and offers available, if your in Dublin and your in temple Street area I recommend you check this place out and you will not be disappointed, with quality of service and food you recieve.

A sort of american diner, very busy with tourists on a Sunday evening. Selection of beverages was good. I ordered a veggie burger, which was ok only. Except the patty, the burger was completely cold! The taste of the fries was something between neutral and boring. Next time in Dublin I would ignore this diner and choose another restaurant.

Food was lovely, dining area was set up outside really well due to coronavirus restrictions, the only downside is that the smoking area is very close to the dining area, which caused my partner to suffer a wee bit, having to use her inhaler twice due to the wind blowing the smoke in our direction, not the fault of Thunder Road, but improvements could definitely be made!

Quite a "lively" bar. Good atmosphere but was deffinatly standing room only on a Saturday night. No chance of a quiet corner for a chat but music and screens to keep you entertained... and alcohol of course if you don't mind queuing for a while. Thorouly enjoyed it but would probebly prefer it during the day. Nice place 😁👍.

Family restaurant with bar which becomes more adult as it gets later, with a DJ who comes in at the bar end later in the evening. Tasty food, massive portions - it's American themed. Good value, super fast service considering how busy it gets, friendly staff. Great cocktail menu and wonderful cocktails. Great atmosphere with creative decor. Definitely worth eating here, have been twice now and will definitely return so long as it's still there.

I have come here every Christmas Eve since I was a kid (21 now) they really buy into the Christmas spirit and the food is always great. Have had trouble getting a table as a young person before (my parents always seem to be able to get a table after I've been told there's none left) but, if you book online, well in advance, that is not a problem.

This restaurant is one of the best restaurants I have ever been in. There is a very wide selection of food in the menu, there is brilliant music creating a great atmosphere and if your a motorcycle person, you will love this place, because there are many beautiful motorcycles on display in there. It is quite big with many tables but it is still usually full of people so making a reservation is recommended. They have a DJ most of the time, disco lights, great music, and the service is very good. The waitors and waitresses are all very nice and fun people and will 100% make you enjoy your dinner even more, and it is very quick. I didn't have to wait long at all for my food, so if you are in Temple Bar and you want a fun place for young adults or kids this is a perfect place

This was my first experience of Thunder Road Cafe and I have to say it is a finely decorated and spacious establishment. The staff could not be more courteous and professional with excellent attention to every detail. Although I didn't eat here today I will definitely do so in the future as the food that was being served looked absolutely delicious and appealing and was reasonably priced. There was a lovely ambiance and atmosphere to the premises. Would definitely recommend a visit if in the area.

Had amazing experience from this venue, brilliant staff from the moment we went in they were so friendly and nice also helpful. Menu has a huge variety to choose from for everyone tastes. They have plenty of cocktails to choose from. Cocktails that we had were unreal, they so much flavour and yummy definitely some of the best cocktails we ever had. Myself and 3 friends opted for Thunder Road for our first cocktails out after lock down and we were not disappointed. The cocktails were delicious, staff were really attentive, all precautions in place including a one way system which was great to see. We all felt we could relax as the restrictions were being adhere to. And best of all the DJ was amazing playing great tunes we even managed an oul dance at our table!!

Yet again Rebecca and the gang make a dining experience of a seemingly ordinary Tuesday in a dreary Dublin city centre. Yet again from the moment we walked through the door we were treated like family. Of course we couldn't hug with social distancing even though it was damn hard not to we refrained. Easy to book a table. The only downside is that the servers are to attentive, that is just my own opinion. I'd would rather eat my meal in peace and not be asked "is everything okay" in the middle of the meal. My burger was a bit dry but other than that everything was superb. We came here for a quick bite to eat and stayed for a drink. The wings are supposed to be fabulous which drew us in. My friends both ordered burgers which were very nice. I had the nachos as they were a coeliac option. The nachos were nice but the pico de gallo was vinegary and the cheese sauce with it as it was not great, like reheated fake stuff from a packet. It was served with chilli beef which was nice and the chips themselves were lovely though. The cocktails were good and reasonably priced for Temple Bar. The loop d loop tastes just like the ice cream! There could definitely be some improvement on the coeliac friendly offerings in the menu. At the start of the meal I asked the waiter about the coeliac options he was not listening at all and walked off, when we asked for more cocktails later in the meal, he was very snippy like we were "putting him out" by ordering and at the end of the meal when we asked for the bill he was very rude and short with us and he brought the bill for another table and walked away and we couldn't catch him to get it corrected. Needless to say that was much much more expensive than ours. There were two or three waitresses on who apologised when they noticed his horrible customer service and attitude which improved our opinion somewhat as we felt we were being listened to. But if it wasn't for those ladies, this would be a very different review.

I used to love Thunder Road Cafe. Today was the first evening when our experience wasn't really positive. The food was ok, the atmosphere was good as always, but the service was not up to the standard. Other times even on busy evenings the service was timely and smooth. Tonight we had a server change between the starters and the mains and some of the orders had to be repeated to the new server, who wasn't half as pleasant and helpful as the original. It seems that the management aims for more than their staff can deal with. We will skip the place for a good while.

Brilliant nigjt lovely food chicken wings and rib combo is fab expensive but is in temple bar friday night is resident dj night so if you have sensitive hearing bring ear plugs

Love this place, it's some were we go regularly, the decor is excellent and really sets the mood, only gripe I have is sitting at the window tables everyone stares at you eating( the food is that nice you soon forget) 😀
