S. V.Scrumptious, flavourful food, phenomenal experience and service! We had the gouzo (chicken dumplings) and soft shelled crab for starters and the grilled duck and lamb chops for mains as well as spicy salmon sushi.

T. P.The staff and chef are the most friendly, from the moment I stepped into the restaurant to the time I left. The grill section was fun with the chef making a stunt once a while. You can watch this from a normal dining table as well. But the best thing happened when i requested for a candle on the cake for my bf's birthday and they came out with the whole band with the guitar and started singing a few songs for us, together with the shining disco lights! The guys played in a band before, they melted our 💕. The food is top notch, but what really makes this restaurant stands out is the quality of the service they provide, professional yet very warm and personal. We would definitely come back. A. D.It's not just food. It's an experience. They cook in front of you, they play, they sing. The Voice of the girl singing is amazing, she should be a professional. Staff are friendly, helpful, paying attention all the time. Menu is great, loads of variety. I highly recommend the restaurant but make sure you book early to get a good seat. Don't book for a normal table, ask for the seats in front of the guys cooking 😊😉🙃
D. S.Interesting time pass. Chef cooks in front of you and tries to make it as a show. Throwing knifes, eggs in your mouth. Theatrical but sounds very rehearsed and robotic. They've used the same story for the next 2 groups. Food is pricey but tasty. I wish they would ask me if I want potato or veg on my plate. Veg was too oily for me. Staff is lovely.

p. s.Tippenyaki experience is the way to go if you like show cooking combined with a cool atmosphere. This restaurant offers very good vegetarian and meat/fish dishes all cooked to order. You can sit at the grill and see how the cooking masters prepare your order. Try the weekly specials if you want to check out something new. They have Japanese beer on tap and also a wine menu. Book ahead to avoid long waits.

We ordered Sushi and Sashimi platter (26E) and it was worth it every single cent. So fresh, delicious and with very nice presentation. Colleagues had different sea food grills and they also loved it. When going there, take the seats behind the main bar as the cooks will prepare the meal directly in front of you served directly from the gril into your hot plate on the table together with different kinds of tricks, funny comments and amazing skills. The best is to have here birthday celebration as two guys here are so good at singing with guitar and tamborine birthday and other songs that it creates here reall unique atmosphere mixed with great food and service. P.I can only describe it as the Asian experience Filipino Style, if only all restaurants had this magic but then most restaurants don't have this on offer, cooked in front of you with entertainment WOW extremely enthusiastic staff absolutely fantastic and fabulous food who needs steak on a stone I found my favourite place steak chicken shrimp and everything else so make sure you sit up food bar.😉
D. P.Outstanding professionalism and service by what seems like a family-run business. The show was entertaining and no issues with the food. We ordered the cheapest set with no starter and no dessert and selected scallops and sirloin steak at medium rare as our two proteins. Both were cooked perfectly. For that set, 8 rolls of spicy tuna maki, and a carafe of sake, the total was a great value of 48£. All the best!

J. F.The main attraction here is to sit at the bar and watch how the food is prepared. The cooks provide quite a show that includes flames and fast hand moves. Not vegan friendly at all. They have some vegetarian options - beware many options might contain fish. Menu needs to be marked well and add more options.

Very popular with kids and those not afraid to catch their food with their mouths (occasionally if you are at the counter) It can also get hot and steamy so table sitting is probably preferable on hotter days.
Portions are filling without being generous and cutlery is offered with the traditional chopsticks without asking

They take care of the smallest of things (for example, fill your glasses with water the moment they were about to get empty- all these small things are a sign of good hospitality).
It was a little girl's birthday and the staff sang a song for her, played the guitar- VERY VERY TALENTED. I would 100% recommend this place. :)

G.It's all about the entertainment factor here. Not to outshadow the wonderful food, but the staff go out of their way to make any occasion feel extra special. Live singing and music is the norm any night of the week, with the kitchen chiefs putting on a show at the grill which is at centre stage and on full view. The lady on the phone was brilliant, she booked the group of us in for 10pm. When we arrived, there was still other customers, the staff where out singing and playing instruments. They where so attentive and fun! Everyone enjoyed the show when they where prepping the food (they had us all involved!!) food was fantastic! K.It was a good place to go for a once off, but the food was very greasy, my lamb chops were brought over to my plate, and one was dropped on the table (which of course was a mistake, and that's fine.) The lamb chops had a LOT of white fat on them, and the rice wasn't very nice, but the staff were very nice and entertaining! I wouldn't go there if visiting the area, though if you live near and haven't gone it's a great experience, just instead don't go for the lamb chops. :)

O. V.I was not very much impressed with Restaurant, this was my second time after many years. I give this 4 stars purely for staff being very attentive and helpful and super super friendly, otherwise I find all show to be very basic - I am not comparing it to another non-teppanyaki restaurants, but I have been in Dalkey teppanyaki and Chai-Yo teppanyaki and I would give Rathmines teppanyaki the lowest rating from three of them. Yes, chef was doing the show and trying to entertain public, but again its very basic, repetitive and super quick - in less than 2 hours (on Sunday June 2018) being there - we managed to see this show 3 times. Great respects to the waiting staff and thanks for the cake on my birthday 17th of May. Also 10 euro for corkage fee is an opportunity to bring your own bottle which is great option.

B. P.Great stuff! I'd never been to a tippenyaki restaurant before, but the service and the food were awesome. The tippenyaki main course has several varieties - I recommend the chicken for first-timers if you aren't feeling overly adventurous, it wasn't overpowering in any way - and comes with a choice of miso soup or salad, fried rice, vegetables and some grilled potatoes. I arrived early but a family showed up after me and the chef put on a bit of a show for the birthday girl - very funny and really cool! Would highly recommend to anyone in Rathmines looking for a good Asian dinner.
