Good and fast service. Very friendly staff. It’s a decent size restaurant and quite elegant. I would really recommend their sushi and also the Vegetarian Gyoza. I would have rated 4, but I didn’t quite enjoy their tofu noodles. Somehow it was quite sour than what I have had previously and also the expresso martini was very bitter. Otherwise all good. I would like to visit again to try the other stuff in their menu.

Modern design restaurant,
spacious, good music.
Food was fresh, arranged very nicely. Tastewise it was ok, but i have to say it did not excite me. E.g. california roll did not taste like much and the sweet potato fries were super crispy but did not really taste like anything. The mayo dip that came with them was really good though.
So overall nice atmosphere, modern interior, nothing unique though, nice food, but would have expected higher taste considering the prices.

Delicious food, staff are very friendly, food is fresh. Not to much on the menu but enough for people to be happy. Good Vegan and vegetarian options. Great place to eat fresh food. My friend said the fish batter was better than Beshoffs and Leo Burdock.

Lovely food & atmosphere... Went there for lunch with my wife. Food was very tasty, tuna nachos were especially nice. Definitely recommend this place. I wish there was a bit more duck in my bento box though.

Very nice date spot with lovely decor. They have a disco ball in the bottom floor. Really tasty bento box. This place is very pricey for sushi so maybe for a special date night.

Cannot speak highly enough of this place!!! The service was next level our drinks and food came out so fast and everything was delicious. We were looked after by multiple different staff members during our visit and all of them were brilliant - so polite, chatty and helpful. When asked if everything was okay and if we enjoyed our food / cocktails it seemed like it was asked out of genuine interest rather than throwaway comment they ask everyone. Already looking forward to visiting again!

I had quite a disappointing experience at Ukiyo although the food was really good.
We had a booking, but had the wait for 20min longer than the booking time. As a group of 7 persons, we were squeezed into a 4/5 people.
After finally being able to order, we had the starters which were really good, but the waiters were quite disorganised and nobody came to remove the empty plates so that the person who was bringing the rolls could put them on the table. We had to ask several times while the person with the rolls was still waiting.
We wanted to order a second rounds of rolls (only 45min after getting the table & sitting), but the kitchen was apparently already close and nobody told us before to make a last order.
So our overall experience was not good which is too bad as both the cocktails and the food were really good.
On top of that the noise level is very high and it's impossible to talk to each other, I would not recommend to go for a group of more than 4 people as you can't talk to each other from one side to another of the table.

We went there for my birthday and it was one of the best sushis I ever had, very well made and served, good selection of different dishes. My bf did try the bbq pork that he loved. about the staff and service, you can notice for their behaviour that the staff works as a good team in a friendly and welcome environment, the security women was very welcoming to us and pro active to call a waitress for us without the need to ask, the waitress at our table took the time to talk to us and always made sure everything was ok. only the veggies weren't very well cooked for my taste and that was the only turn down.

10/10 food, drinks & craic! Waiters were so sound and chatty and had great recommendations. Great set-up for outdoor dining! Highly highly recommend the cauliflower wings and the ‘short fuse’ cocktail!

Went for a relaxed Sunday lunch and got excellent Japanese food, good service and all at a very good price. The daily Bento box special at €13 has to be one of the best lunch bargains in central Dublin. My 'spider roll' was as good as I've had anywhere - including in Japan. Contrary to one earlier review, no service charge was added but I was happy to leave a decent tip.

Amazing japanese/Mexican kind of like food place. The sushi is unreal ❤️
I'm in live with this place and can't wait to go back.
The manager and the staff were very friendly which make the place even better.

We tried this cuisine for the first time..
In our mind, it was more like 'if this experience goes wrong we might not have that courage to give a try anywhere else'.
I must say, you guys nailed it. Food was super freaking delicious!! And yes, floor staffs were quite friendly and helpful in guiding us through the menu.
Will be back soon.....😋😋

When I first ate at Ukiyo back in 2017 I loved it. It was always on my mind to come back.
However it looks like some of it was just nostalgia. The food did not disappoint, and it was amazing, just as well as the cocktails.
The service however left some room for improvement. Although well staffed, the service was disorganised. When our sushi plate arrived, we still had dishes from the starters and nobody collected them until mid way through the meal. We were nearly done eating when our new plates arrived. Miso soup also arrived only after some gentle reminders, just as milk and sugar for the tea afterwards. However the staff was nice and polite.
To sum up, the service could be a bit better but the rating is saved by the amazing food, cocktails and ambiance. I hope to visit again, hopefully in less than 4 years.

Excellent food. Nice interior. $$$

Had the best experience here lastnight. A friend and I met for drinks and some grub. We arrived early yet we were welcomed in immediately. There was the most minor of mix ups with which table we were to sit at so we were comped some sake...which was Most sound and in fairness probably not necessary. Loved it though. We ordered cocktails first and they were deadly! To eat, we chose a bunch of stuff to share: a bento sushi box (mixed sushi), duck gyoza, prawn dumplings and lobster sliders. The plates came at a good steady pace and not all at once which I appreciated - our table never became overcrowded with plates. The wait staff were clearly experienced and looked after us well. The food itself was AMAZING! It is obvious the chefs use best quality ingredients and know EXACTLY what they are doing! Long story short, I love dining out but dont always feel compelled to leave a review. After an evening at Ukiyo, I did feel compelled. Best restaurant experience in years! Nice one lads

A little bit of "style over substance". Lovely service and wonderfully presented dishes. However the food failed to match. The portions of seafood in the sushi were minuscule and the miso soup was terribly bland. Such a pity for a venue that held such promise.
L.
It’s ok, not the best and not the worst. I used to come here a lot a few years ago for lunch - their lunch menu was always super affordable and delicious. We decided to come here for dinner the other night and I cannot say the same; nothing drastic, just average food for above average prices. The cocktails are good though, the staff are nice, and the restaurant has a cool interior.

First time in Ukiyo. Friendly attentive staff and food (Daily Bento and Sushi Bento) was really good.
The selection in both Bento boxes was excellent. Would recommend for lunch and look forward to dinner here at some point.
K. M.
Delicious food, huge menu choice. Highly recommend the divine Prawn Har Gao (steamed dumplings) and Monkfish Tacos. Excellent drinks selection and super friendly staff. Great atmosphere too!
e. w.
The food was excellent. As we are non meat eating, Josh was exceptionally helpful with explaining and suggesting the many suitable dishes available. The ambience was great and the full bar that specialised in cocktails meant there was a something to suit everybody to drink including non- alcoholic selection.
M. F.
Stopped off here for lunch when it was very quiet inside. Got a small spread of food which was all very good. One of the dishes was the wrong order. When this was highlighted the correct one was brought out but by this stage we had finished the rest of the food. Mistakes can happen but the wrong order could have been left for us to consume for free rather than taking away considering the mistake.
E. G.
Friendly service but disappointing food. Sushi rice was somewhat dry, definitely had better elsewhere in Dublin. Ramen was bland. Sashimi was probably the best thing we ate… Food was also overpriced considering quality and other options in town. Good drinks selection but wouldn’t go back in a hurry for food!
L. 2.
Good Sushi and very nice staff. The Lobster sliders I ordered were unfortunately very poor quality. This was very disappointing as they stuck out on the menu and I thought they were a very original idea. The fish tacos were better, but the sushi was the only thing that really made the meal worth the trip.

I had the pork and cauliflower kimchi ramen for €17. It’s marginally more expensive than other restaurants although I think the price is fair given the spaciousness of the restaurant compared with other izakayas which tend to have a tight layout..
The really amazing thing about this ramen was the pork. If like me, you are a ramen enthusiast then I would suggest you try this ramen one time just to taste that pork. 5 stars for the pork.
Unfortunately the other elements of the ramen were not great. I’m not a fan of kimchi in ramen. It made the broth kind of sour and unappetizing. The noodles were certainly over cooked.
In fairness, this is not an actual ramen restaurant. There are only two ramen options on the menu. So like, it’s hardly surprising if the ramen isn’t 5 stars. Im sure I would have given 4/5 stars if I came here for sushi.
Very nice staff and general ambience. Thanks.

Food was amazing. Cocktails were even more amazing. Josh, our server, was the most amazing. Would really recommend this spot in terms of food quality, service, and atmosphere. Will be coming again.

Haven't had the chance to visit in a few years after being out of the country for a while. Was delighted that the food was still at it usual high standard. Very lovely staff too. Looking forward to my next visit.
M. G.
My first time to try sushi. Really nice and surprisingly not too fishy. Great variety on menu for those who want to be more adventurous or to play it safe. Lovely staff and they are doing a great job with outdoor dining.
L. O. B.
Absolutely top class: excellent range of authentic Korean and novel fusion dishes available. Staff were very professional and experienced and hosted a lovely evening. Loved it.
S. d. L.
Nice spot, I had dumplings and my partner had a bao burgers with rice and potatoes shared between us. The sauces they served that with were nice and different, think the portions could be a bit bigger for the price though.
S. S.
Plenty of options, great location for karaoke and good prices. Top points for the service, they're always lovely and accommodating.
A. C.
Really nice interior, everything we ordered was delicious! I would definitely go back. The cocktails were a little meh though.
A. B.
Always delicious food at Ukiyo. I was served by Kenny the last couple times and he is the best waiter - he really looks after you. 10/10 service.
D. A.
Accidentally walked in on their first evening open to the public and might have been their first customers!
Lovely location with dark decor and a large bar and comfortable seating. Large main area with a door at the far side leading to the infamous Karaoke booths.
The full menu wasn't yet available but the sample was supposed to be representative. Based around sharing plates of different themes.
Plates were a good size when they arrived, we had four for two people.
Genuinely thought the food was delicious. Beef slider trio was a treat, and halibut tempura a lighter accompaniment. The real star though was the drunken chicken which was just incredibly succulent and with loads of subtle flavours.
A great experience then, we will certainly be back!
W. W.
Main meal was lovely, the desserts were not great, macarons seemed like they were from frozen and the panacotta was very sour, the staff are all lovely but a tad bit forgetful, one part of our meal didn't show up and we made sure to tell the waitress we didn't receive it, but it was still on the bill and had to explain it again, I'm sure it would be better on a different night
C. L.
Nice, trendy venue for a snack and drink. Food is decent but fairly pricey and is more fusion than proper Japanese. If its proper Japanese you are looking for then this is not the best place.
E. J.
Nice atmosphere and although some staff were really nice one guy took our order and never submitted it. It was such long wait till we actually got the food even though we were told we could only have the table for an hour.
No complaints about the food, everything was delicious.
S. L.
Everything was sooooo tasty! First time here but will be back 🙌💯
K. D.
a great spot for all sushi lovers!
A. R.
Food and cocktails unreal really nice to get the small plates and share them. The staff are honestly the nicest people ever, a girl called Hannah??
(black hair blonde fringe ) and a tall man with hair like Noel Gallagher were absolutely some of the nicest attentive staff ever. 10/10
L. M.
The vegan Bento is really good and they have a few other vegan options if you ask. Staff were friendly
C. D.
Restaurant is Ok even if a bit expensive. Be careful they are adding service charges (12%)without telling. You can ask to get it removed from your bill.
S. “. S.
Food was great but table was too small for 3 people
W. O.
Sushi was very fresh but a bit bland, bao buns were really good and their tempura style chips were really tasty. For mains, my Ramen was terrible, the broth tasted like soy straight from the bottle, really salty not much else in the way of flavour, also, the first time I've eaten ramen without a ladel. Blackened salmon was a little overdone but a very wholesome meal with the barley.
Service was outstanding, all very friendly and accommodating, good bar selection and good ambience in the downstairs bar/lounge where we ate.
D. B.
Nice grub nice cocktails and friendly staff .I would give a five only the service is sooooo slow , sitting there every time when you finish a drink for about ten minutes ,nobody coming near you. I was waving and calling them and they still wouldn't come over .so frustrating
C. H.
Great food and sake. Excellent cocktails. Good vibe downstairs.
C. D.
Food was great and the place itself was very clean and looked well, service a small bit lacking although it was only a small thing. I will definitely go back here.
M. L.
Amazing not-ordinary sushi. Nice place if you don't want to go with the mainstream choices. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Really nice staff. Recommended!
G. K.
The best sushi, Bao and cocktails.Date night or Girls night you can’t go wrong. Great atmosphere and staff!
R. D.
The food is amazing, staff are too and such a nice environment. Fav restaurant in Dublin!
d. o.
The place is nice, the Sushi was good and the stuff is very friendly
J. H.
Arrived on time for a booking, staff informed us right away there would be a slightly delay, got us seats underneath the heater and a complimentary glass of bubbles for a tiny inconvenience, excellent way to treat guests from the start, food was fantastic and the cocktail jugs are brilliant. Staff go above and beyond 5/5 :)
K. I.
Surely not the best sushi I ate. Decent food, kind staff, nice location
D. D.
Lovely food, loads of options, and amazing cocktails. Also reasonably priced for the city centre.
A. M.
Great food, service was a little bit slow but then again, it was a Friday.
T. M.
Unbelievably good food, tasty cocktails and exceptional service!
P. R.
Wonderful night, great waitstaff, gorgeous cocktails. Highly recommend!
E. C.
Group of 4 ordered the "Family Feud" set menu which is a sharing platter of a variety of foods from the menu and a cocktail pitcher to share. €25 per person is a great deal and the food was amazing. Menu also includes good vegetarian and vegan options. Staff wore face coverings and tables were appropriately distanced. Would definitely recommend.
S. P.
Came here a few weeks ago. Was attracted by the fancy terrace and the sushi trays people were having outside.
I checked the reviews on TripAdvisor but I must say I was not that impressed by the sushi as people said in their reviews... ordinary if not special. The raw tuna didn’t taste that good even though the waiter assured me that it was fresh from that day, but it smelled bad so I couldn’t finish it.
A plus for the raspberry alcohol free mojito and for the kindness of the waiters. The other dishes we tried (spring rolls and fried chicken wings) were definitely better

A group of us went on a Tuesday around 7pm. We got seats for 4 at the door despite booking requirements from covid etc. Which was great!
However, We had to wait 50 minutes for our food to arrive. The food wasn't as great as other Japanese restaurants around... The sushi felt stale if that makes sense, its difficult to describe it but the rice in the sushi didn't have the right texture. The miso soup had a light vinegar taste. It wasn't great. The customer service was superb.. the waitresses friendly, apologised for late food.. but the Food itself just wasn't great
B. P. O.
Spent my bday here and never regretted it. The service is excellent and the food is just delish! Thanks Ukiyo!
D. M.
Dropped in here for a bento box today - and was sorry to hear that there was no bento boxes on the menu. However, the guy said he'd asked the chef, and they made one up specially for me! I can safely say it's the best bento box I've ever had - here or in Japan. Well done guys and thanks a mill! どうもありがとうございました David
M. V.
Good food, service took a bit too long. But overall we had a good experience.
D. D.
Nice bites and great atmosphere, will go again for sure :)
c. c.
Food was lovely and staff were very friendly too. Great cocktail options available also. Will be back again soon !
B. N.
Our first night out post lockdown 2. Ukiyo was our first choice as they have outside & indoor dining. We luckily just got a cancellation fir inside and honestly we were incredibly well distanced from the next table. We lucked out totally as we literally had our own area beside the usual DJ box. Cannot recommend ukiyo enough. Best food. Fabulous cocktails. Staff were super & looked after us so well. Fantastic girls reunion.
P. G.
In these Covid times I could only sit outside but I was cosy and warm. I ordered a latte and macrons which were so inviting looking I couldn't resist eating one before I took a photograph, sorry! The staff were very professional and friendly, I will definitely go there again. When fully open it's a lively Asian food restaurant with karaoke. The decor is quality wood and tasteful minimalism.
A. F.
Limited Ukiyo recently and due to Covid restrictions seating was only outdoors. We didn't have a booking but the manager went out of her way to accommodate us and got a table for us. Great atmosphere, super helpful/friendly staff and amazing sushi! Full bar too what more could you want! Looking forward already to our next visit.
I. O.
Great food and staff, cocktails are really good 👍
I. H.
Delicious food and drinks and very friendly staff, Simon was a star, highly recommend the Ebi Furai starter, was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful aroma. Will definitely be back.
T. O.
Over priced but as someone who doesn’t like sushi, purely for the taste, something in particular which doesn’t sit well with my taste palettes, I think it’s the seaweed (little info for those who don’t know why they don’t like sushi), I actually enjoyed the sushi here, I was able to eat it.
The quality of the sushi was also really good, the decor of the restaurant was amazing to.
I loved the Japanese touch that came with the styling.
Friendly staff and personable chef who personally came out to let me know there wasn’t a certain ingredient and explained other options to go with.
S. P.
I liked the lighting and the dark settings of this place as I enjoyed my Japanese food I stayed relaxed with few drinks after...
R. O. B.
Had a gorgeous lunch with my wife and daughter in their new outdoor seating area. Ordered 4 starters and the calafornia rolls. More than enough for us. Had to get a doggy bag. Cauliflower katsu was divine. TBH all the starters were as good as each other. The service was lovely too. To finish it all off a lovely cold glass of Rose and sapporo in the sun. Couldn't have been a better Saturday afternoon. Looking forward to our next trip into town.
R. O.
Great interesting food. Some unusual dishes, the Mussels were great. Service was great too.
A. P.
Had my birthday dinner here. The food was very nice. I will definitely keep that memory and the guy who served us, so charming. Good ambiance and vibe. Although the sauce in all the dishes we ordered was abit much. It would be nice to let people add there own salt later.

I'm from Galway. I've being coming to Dublin for about forty five years. I have always sought out unique places to eat, drink and meet friends. Recently, I was introduced to UKIYO by Rani, a friend who lives in Dublin. All I can say is thank you so much for this wonderful intro. The food, staff, ambience and prices are just incredible. This is a five star experience of food, drink and entertainment. A lunch justs seems to slow you down in a warm glow of conviviality as the hours pass by. An evening is dinner and onwards into the night. This place is so good, I am having second thoughts about recommending it, as it may become harder and harder to get a table as the news of its charisma spreads.
Just go there and get WOWED!
K. K.
Hands down one of the best meals I've ever eaten! Everything prepared was perfect, fast and portions were excellent value for money . Will be returning regularly ! Staff extremely friendly ,cocktails delicious and overall excellent.
E. N.
Tasty food, nice cocktails with reasonable prices, service was a tad slow but overall the experince was good.
I. W.
Booked a karaoke booth for two hours with a crowd of 16 people and we had an absolutely brilliant time! From the minute we arrived the staff were lovely and accommodating, and the karaoke itself was very well set up and easy to use. The song choice is excellent (although there's no ABBA!), though it would be handy if there was more than one song book to pass around the room.
The booth was comfortable and fitted us all well, we definitely could've had a few more people in their easily.
What's more - just as our two hours were up, a member of staff told us to stay for another half hour free of charge as no one else wanted the booth that evening. Amazing! We will be back!
E. M.
Absolutely love this place. Haven’t been in a while as I am away a lot but I really enjoyed the new menu particular the Peking duck bao buns and chicken sliders & the sweet potatoes fries which are an excellent new addition. Good wine list along with excellent cocktails. We tried the kneeler and the old fashioned which were delicious. Staff attentive as always.
L. H.
Delicious food 10/10 with great service. However Karaoke room was terrible - mics and remote control only worked intermittently and song list wasn’t great and book was falling apart. Staff member in charge of karaoke was rude and dismissive when we tried to talk to him about it.
P. S.
Great outdoor set-up and perfect in the sun for lunch. Tapas style food and sushi delicious. Paul
B. J.
The experience wasn't great. You have to have dinner in order to book a karaoke room that you are paying for per hour anyway, yet the food (some things nice, some just ok) seems a bit overpriced. Menu offered just 5 choices of starters + 4 choices of mains for €29 - it would be fair to have more options. Also it was very late to arrive - we got mains approx 1.5 hour after we arrived, which delayed our entry into the karaoke room. We did get an extension/discount offered for it.
Karaoke room looks and feels like someones living room without a fear of noise complaints. Mics are beat up and song choice is weird (mostly old songs, but no ABBA?), but you can still find songs everyone knows and it's good fun with a bigger group of people.
M. G.
It is a nice Japanese restaurant and bar and at late night (not every night) it's kinda like a nightclub (live dj and tables are taken away so there is a dance floor).
Staff members are friendly, young, free spirits. The atmosphere is relaxed.
Food is very good, their lunch menu deal is worth to try, so as the other items from the regular menu.
They have loads of different types of drinks at the bar, so I think everyone can find their favourite (or new favourite).
There is a possibility to do karaoke. They have private karaoke rooms where you can sing with your friends.
I think that's important for some, there is easy access into the venue (so you can get with a wheelchair, pram), but the access to the restroom is impossible with a wheelchair, because you have to use the stairs.
There is a new lounge bar under the restaurant (I would recommend this for people with wheelchair, same company).
E. M.
Delicious food and amazing hospitality + service. Ukiyo has always been my favourite go to restaurant, you can have lunch with your mates and then later sing your hearts in the karaoke rooms. I recently went to the new Ukiyo lounge downstairs and I had a amazing time great music and great company. Overall I would really recommend this restaurant to anyone.
P.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was tasty but did not justify the price. Cocktails were good but also very pricey. We booked a karaoke booth for 2h but did not get it until half an hour after our booked time because of other people still occupying the room. We still had to pay the full 2h though...
P. K.
Great to get out after the lock down. Very enthusiastic staff and nice food. The pint of guinness was magic.
C. S.
This place is one of the best food and drink spots in Dublin. The service is outstanding, the cocktails are the best around and the food is seriously good. Was here around Christmastime and was worried that I may not be able to eat a lot of things, given that I'm vegan but i was wrong. Incredible vegan options. Such good food. And karaoke, as ever, was fantastic. My favourite place in Dublin without a doubt.
A. K.
It's a community centre that has managed to become one of the most respected restaurants and late night spots in Dublin.
16 years in business and still great on drinks and food. Very much geared to looking after people because it's a family run business that goes the extra mile.
Killer Ramen, Bao Buns Sushi Salads Cocktails and they know their wines. And they have the most impressive roster of Djs every weekend. And live online.
S. R.
Great spot for lunch. I hope often on my lunch break from since I'm just around the corner, outstanding value with regards to the lunch bento box. The karaoke is good fun in the evenings as well. Private booths so I don't scare everyone out of the place. Pleasant staff and central location.
A. Q.
Absolutely exquisite for a nice dinner or a bite before karaoke. The pork buns are phenomenal, the beef bulgogi rich and delicious. The setting and decor is great, the staff were quick and polite, and there's something to be said for somewhere that serves Sapporo beer. I've been before for karaoke too and I'll tell you, it's some of the most fun you'll have. The machines are a little janky and have some issues but that nearly adds to the wholesome experience of karaoke. Really a delightful spot.
E. B.
We had the best time at Ukiyo! The food was amazing, the service was excellent, and we made so many memories. Lou was especially helpful when trying to fit us in on a busy weekend night and we really appreciated her effort to make our night extra special. We would definitely be back and recommend Ukiyo to all our friends and family!
T.
We came here a few time for a brunch. The place is very nice and the staff is polite and friendly. They have bento box deal for lunch where you can get 4 small dishes and miso soup for just 10€. Every time the food was tasty, nicely prepared and very good. We also tried burrito bowl that was very tasty but just a bit cheesy for my taste. During the evening they organize karaoke shows.
B. Z.
Ukiyo it's an outstanding place. I'm not living in Dublin anymore, but every time I'm there, I visit this place at least once. To say the truth it happen to me that bento box wasn't the best (I think they have one day in a week when it happens), but otherwise the price is so great, and quality is on the very high standard. I really love all sushi rolls (although California roll doesn't have cream inside), and tempura... it's just fabulous. Especially a tempura sauce makes it a special experience! The service is really cool over there, and I always have a nice chat, if not with an owner, then with anyone else who works there. To be honest I'm too lazy to give any reviews, but this place is exceptional for me so here we are :). And they have a nice coffee and lot of "heavier" alcohols. And then, fusion burrito with chicken... really nice and original! If you're into japanese food with a good atmosphere, this is a special place. Currently I'm living in Amsterdam, and I'm missing this place a lot! See you tomorrow over there! I'm coming back for few days :).
B. S.
We just dropped in for a quick bite. We ordered 3 starters to share. Food and service were good. Chicken wings were nice. Vegetable tempura were good also although the sweet potato ones are quite heavy
i.
Great place for a proper cocktail & gorge food.. Place is a little pretentious but 🤷🏼♀️ whatever you're into
F. M.
Great Sushi. My go to place on visits to Dublin.
M. F.
Went for an evening meal, all well setup and well run with all the covid restrictions. Food was OK but I've also been to the nearby Izakaya recently and that would be my first choice for Japanese food in the area.
A. R.
First time experience, service, good. Quite a limited menu. A bit too pricy. Nice an cumfy, the food and wine was good. Unfortunately we had a pack of about 8 drunks shoutin' and screaming at one another, the waiter should have put a stop to it before another customer did, it was terrible (manners these days, people just don't consider consider others). The waiter only gets two *s.
A. K.
Great for karaoke if in a large group! Can be expensive if going in a group less than 5 but 8 - 10 or more is ideal! Great song selection and can pay for drinks separately or on the tab
C. M.
Asian cuisine in a rather dark setting. I do not have much experience of this style of dining but the portions were very small and not very tasty.
There are karaoke booths downstairs which were awful. Poor quality sound system and every song played on the same background video which was different clips of nature - pleasant the first viewing only.
a.
Easily the best value lunch and dinner in town. Ukiyo is bright and airy upstairs. Downstairs is spacious and very well laid out. Perfect for cocktails, dinner and dancing 7 nights a week! What makes Ukiyo super special besides the delicious food and drinks is the exemplary service with individual attention to detail. Every single member of staff are professional, charming and friendly. They go out of their way to make you feel special. There is only one U in Ukiyo 💚 It's truly a magic place.
M. d. C.
Food is fantastic. The bento box is filling and pretty cheap especially compared to all of the places around. The atmosphere in this place is also great.
P.
GREAT FOOD, ATMOSPHERE AND SERVICE!!
S. R.
Great place! A bit expensive though. Sushi + karaoké is a perfect combination. I recommend to get some small bottles of booze in your purse to drink in the singing room ;-P.
S. L.
Food was superb! Pricing was little bit in the higher end. 18€ for lunch sushi is alot but it was one the best I've ever had! Little too expencive for everyday lunch but for a japanese treat a definite go! Service was nice, everyone was kind and food didn't take long to arrive even tho the place was packed. Would recommend! 🍱🍣❤️

Best sushi rolls we’ve had in Dublin :)

My favourite Japanese place in Dublin city. The food is always amazing. They have an offer for lunch. 10e menu of the day. It is a combination of 4 tapas (big tapas. I am Spanish ;) ). Miso soup and rice. The location is perfect and the cocktails are great!

The food was okay and the cocktails were good, but the service is extremely slow. We literally had to ask to pay three times and waited around 40 mins before we could do it. Not sure if they were just understaffed that day or if it's like that all the time...

This place does very tasty lunch bento box! 10 euro for four dishes and a potion of rice and a miso soup. The dishes are changing everyday, the potion is quite decent, indoor environment is lovely and relaxing. I highly recommend it to anybody who doesn't know where to go for lunch.

Perfectly located close to Grafton Street, the overall dining & karaoke experience was good. Although I enjoyed dinner, it took too long to be served and it was overpriced (21€ for a rice dish). Karaoke rooms are well equipped and can fit 8-10 people (30€/hour).

Love the food here, they do a great sushi bento box with fresh sashimi, nigiri and norimaki. The selection of drinks are very nice too and the seating is comfortable. The staff are quite friendly also and you can dine alone quite nicely here also.

Their Regular Bento Box was very good. Tough call between here and day Yamamori. I had an Apple and Elderflower Collins which was nice but not amazing. Couldn't really taste the gin at all. Staff were great, very attentive and pleasant. Always a good alternative venue for music and drink later in the evening.

Ukiyo is a really great place to eat sushi and you can choose from a wide range of food. They have special offers during lunchtime which is a great deal. The staff always pay attention to their customers. I love it ;)

The name and chefs are probably Japanese, but the dishes are European style sushi (with Salmon). There are also various Korean dishes. The sushi (sushi bento & rainbow roll) was fresh and reasonable. I loved the medium rare beef fillet! It was tender and excellent.

Had a brilliant night in Ukiyo bar tonight celebrating my son's 40th birthday! Food was delicious, staff were soo lovely and the karaoke was the best fun. Would highly recommend it

Went here for a work do. FANTASTIC food, the tofu was really great. We went for karaoke after, and the machine was a bit wonky. Beer selection was good.

The food was extremely good, the cauliflower katsu was quite literally astounding, it was a very decent vegan asian meal. But one of the servers was very temperamental for apparantly no reason which made a hostile environment. The cocktails were extremely underwhelming the first jug which served 6 apparantly lacked any flavour and seemed to have no alcohol content. The espresso martini was the worst I have ever tried. The food was so good, that it's a shame so much brought the experience down.

Good food, the bento box was so tasty. Very nice and welcoming staff. We also went to the karaoke but the experience wasn’t so pleasant. One of the coaches wasn’t in the best condition so a couple of people couldn’t take seat comfortably.
