Food was Amazing, great portions, brilliant value for money. Only reason I'd say 4⭐ & not a 5 ⭐ is because of the seating, décor. Just a little basic but definitely worth a visit!!!

Visited at Atami Japanese cuisine in Dundalk for the first time on New year's Day after a friends recommendation, it was great and did not disappoint at all. The food was exceptional and myself and my friends really enjoyed ourselves. (I had a Tatatsu chicken and couldn't recommend it enough as it was extremely tasty!) My friends ordered different forms of Sushi and were also extremely happy with their food. The staff were friendly & welcoming. If looking for Japanese focused cuisine, look no further.

Therefore waiting time was longer than advised, but you could see that workers were very well organized and professional, and were doing all possible to complete the orders ASAP. I have no idea what was going on at the kitchen that time, must have been mad busy there, but in no way were our dishes affected - the food was tidy and delicious just as any other time when we were here. Big thank you for the vouchers that were given for the extended waiting time, it was absolutely unexpected and very nice of you!

Really delicious sushi and a great find in the town. Well worth a special journey to come for the super fresh sushi. Such good value too with a Bento box for €10.90. The sushi rolls were outstanding including the dragon roll which was a sure fire winner.

Fabulous food in an informal setting. The bento box is excellent value and you get two pieces of sushi, katsu chicken, two potstickers/gyozas and rice. The dipping sauce is lovely - a vinaigrette with roasted sesame oil. I have also ordered the octopus sushi as a starter, it was tender and delicious. Highly recommended.

One of the best place in dundalk for having good food! You can eat delicious and fresh Japanese food! I tried the Goya (6 euros for 4 pieces I think it's a little but expensive but it's just soooooo good), sushi (5 euros for 4 pieces if I remember,but they are really good and beautiful ) and the ramen (14.5 euros and it's delicious) I also try the side order and I take some delicious noodle! For only 4 euros. I tried one time the dessert and I don't recommand it because they are not homemade and not really good

Went out wallpaper shopping today & wanted to eat at 4Pm in Dundalk with wine to top day off ... but where?! Saw Atami, where we’d had great meals before. Nice crowd in when we arrived. Strange, as schools back - we’re retired. Lady serving us top class. Lovely Ebi Gyoza dumplings to start. Great house white Rioja. Faultless Chicken Katsu curry for me & Tatsuta Chicken for my wife. Hers even better. Ice cream & a really good chocolate cake (even though bought in, excellent) with a cappuccino better than most Italian restaurants. We ordered takeaway for our daughter before leaving. Including takeaway, €80 for everything ... great standard. No arguments. Great value. Will continue to be patrons....

Great sushi, loved by everyone in my family. The customer service is also first class. On one occasion that something was missing from our order, they drove 11 miles (and 11 back) to deliver the missing items plus some extra food and drinks for the inconvenience . Highly recommended.

Unexpectedly this is some of the finest sushi I've had outside of Dublin in Ireland for a pretty fair price considering the quality. While I haven't had any of the other mains I can safely say you won't go wrong with their sushi menu. Shy of 5 stars only for their service and desserts. While the staff are lovely they seem to adopt a policy to leave you be once you've ordered. Nobody coming to clear your table or to ask if you want anything else. The desserts on offer are limited and not traditional Japanese. The bailey's cheesecake leaves a lot to be desired and is neither worth the €5 nor the calories.

Positives was the food is delicious and the staff is lovely. On the negative side the service was very much all over the place. There was a big group of us and my brother was the first to get his dinner and it was another 10 min before anyone else got their dinner so if course he was finished his by the time ours came. when we did get our dinner we had to wait another 10 mins on our sides of rice and noodles so by the time we did get them we had practical ate our dinner. Shame really because the food was good 😕

Amazing experience feels so relaxed and quiet just has that welcoming feel. Service staff are so friendly and knowledgeable when asked any questions relating to the dishes and offer both chopsticks and regular cutlery i suggest to go with the chopsticks do for that authentic feel. This Japanese restaurant is one of the best I've eaten in. And it is in Dundalk. You'd be lucky to find a Japanese restaurant fifty miles of here. The sashimi was excellent, as was the chilli chicken ramen. The dragon roll is top class too. Still can't believe this is in 'the town'. Next time I'm getting the sake.

Great restaurant. There are virtually no vegan restaurants in Dundalk so this place is as close as it gets. They are very good for accomodating to vegans, if you ask for an item on the menu to be made without dairy or eggs they make it no hassle.

Traditional Japanese food and decor, serving Sushi, Sashimi, Ramen, and cooked dishes like Katsu, Teriyaki and Tempura. Had the Sushi and Sashimi, which was what you would expect from your go-to neighbourhood place in Chicago. So, first some context. Dundalk is THE county town located in County Louth. It is roughly halfway between Dublin (to the south) and Belfast, Northern Ireland (to the north). That being said, this is the ONLY Japanese restaurant in town and has only been open a little more than a month. As for the experience: Ambience, average Service, average Presentation, average. Freshness, very good. Overall execution, average With no competition they will need to operate on pride to stand out.
