A hidden gem you don’t want to miss. In addition to an already varied menu, they offer several specials each night, which typically includes a local catch of the day. The staff were excellent and very accommodating of food allergies. Almost any meal can be modified to be gluten-free.

Service was very good all things considered (covid rules). Food was good. Only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 is I got a steak (cooked correctly) but half of it was grizzle. Unfortunately 30e for a steak that was half unbeatable isn't acceptable my eyes

We were after a long drive and needed to eat. Spotted Callans and went in on spec. hoping for a quick, decent meal. We were very pleasantly surprised. The service was fast and friendly, the food was excellent and when I had a problem with an allergy the problem was sorted with amazing speed and no fuss. Very impressed and will go there again.

My wife and I went to Callans Bar & Restaurant last night. The food was incredible, the service was fantastic. We were warmly welcomed by the waitress who sat us by a roaring fire. Before we left we actually booked a table for Saturday night. It has to be the best restaurant we’ve ever been too. Definitely worth a visit.

This is one of the best food venues in the area. The bar is usually buzzing with plenty of craic and the restaurant is always busy as well. Booking is very advisable especially on weekends. Staff here are very friendly, professional and will always meet requests with a smile. The menu has plenty of choice and any dishes or sides I have seen are always cooked to perfection and portion sizes are extremely generous. The desserts are highly recommended as well however it's unlikely you'll still be hungry enough to eat one! All in all a perfect choice for a meal whether you're a couple or a large group, this venue is suitable.

Very good food & generally speaking service is quite fast. No long delays between when u have each course finished. We are disappointed that u have taken gluten free gravy & sauces off the menu & would like to see a wider choice of gluten free food on menu , especially desserts.

Was here for the 1st time in March and since then nothing had compared. By far some of the nicest food within a 30 mile radius and if you are going for a nice meal as a couple or for an occasion I would definitely recommend. From the nicest staff, to huge portions and above all top notch food you will not want to leave behind.

Was really good top notch food but be ready to part with your coin but remember folks you get what you pay for lol staff was really pleasant and hard worked 1 girl looking after restaurant and front bar where a christening was happening so my hat tipped to her well done I would return here even though I thought it was expensive .
