My mum has been coming here since the 1960s when her and my dad would go to see and dance at the show bands. It brings the biggest smile to her face getting food here as she always advocates that their chips are the best around. It wouldn't be a trip to Dundalk without stopping here.

Just had our lunch here, firstly, glad to see all covid protocols in place and strictly enforced, 2 geezers tried to sit without giving details, they were promptly hauled back and 1 had to return to his vehicle to get his cert...great.. Breast of chicken and chips and a mushroom omelette, just great, I just love the Roma.

These five stars are in honour of the late Bernadette who ruled this cafe without having to say a word to the any waitress who wasn't keeping her mind on her job. Bernadette was a little more than four feet tall and as fragile as a butterfly but no one dared to oppose her.She was heid in great respect by Dundalks citizens. Ar deis De go bhfuij a ainm. MB

The authenticly retro vibe here makes it a place I want to come back to. That said, the prices are too high for what you get. I don't expect them to compete with the chains like McDonald's, but they are overpriced even for a chippy. The fish and chips is the same price as fish and chips with mushy peas at another cafe across the market square. If they didn't overcharge, I'd certainly make this my regular lunch spot.

It's nice, but nothing special. definitely nicer place's but it's worth the money, it's just the oldest and most consistent chipper in Dundalk so people know what to expect. Don't even use Sing Li curry though, best thing about it is the sausage in batter (so nice).. and the portions are normal they aren't massive like people say. they are exactly the size you expect for what you pay.

Love this place. Best food in Dundalk and they don't skimp on portion size like some of the pricey restaurants in the area. Milk shakes are to die for. Staff are very friendly and service is really fast. Well done Roma. Highly recommend.

Always very clean, staff are great. Food isn't healthy but always served proper. Soft drinks are expensive you pay through your nose for a small glass of soft drink. Other than that not too bad a place if you're starving and you can't get into a decent restaurant.

A dundalk institution, the best chips in the town, county and possibly the country, if not the world. Their mixed grill has reached legendary proportions, their fresh cod th the same, me I'm a more cod steak or hotdog type person and they are lovely too. The place is always spotless, the staff very corteous even when they're run off their feet, yes if you had a sixth star the Roma it would get it for me.

I have been going to the Roma for so many years. This is a sit in "Chipper" (who also do take away). Once upon a time this type of cafe was very common but today there are very few remaining but Roma is one of the best. The menu offers a wide range of options including fish, burgers, steak and so much more.
