J.We had a baby shower dinner on Saturday 18th September. The tables were together and the staff were super friendly. Catered for vegetarians also. Nothing was too much bother. When we finished eating we were asked did we want to sit outside and blankets were offered to stay warm.. highly recommend here

I got to experience the Clermont last week for the first time and it definitely lived up to expectations and the positive recommendations from other friends & family.
The Clermont is based on the main street in Blackrock, Louth.
It is extremely well decorated & decor of the restaurant is just first class.
They also have an amazing real tree situated in the main dining area which really adds to the classy atmosphere.
The service and attentivness of the staff was also exceptional. We never felt at one moment that we weren't being waited or looked after. The waiters/waitresses knowledge of the menu was very good, especially when asking questions such as gluten frees options from one of the people in our party.
The menus are well laid out and there is a great selection of tasty options to pick from, especially the drinks menu as there is a huge selection drinks, gins, wines, whiskys to suit all tastes.
The food was also very tasty and well presented and drinks were very tasty.
The only criticism I could really find with the Clermont is the pricing of the menus.
The prices are "expensive" and the Clermont really caterers itself to a premium market / high profiler spending customer and kind off puts you off ordering much more than what you want as you know your bill will sky rocket quickly!
(Example, €10 for a starter of 10 chicken wings is a bit much, no matter how nice they were.)
But apart from the above I really couldn't fault it at all and will definitely be a returning customer. 👍

W. V.What can I say that hasn't already been said before... starting from the warm welcome we received at the door, staff were incredibly polite and kind. The restaurant itself is decorated to such a high standard and is impeccably clean! The menu is simple and intriguing but the dishes speak for themselves.... and then there's the steaks... when a chef is so sure in the quality of his products that he cooks a steak Blue, you know you're about to have a great meal, and we were far from disappointed.. from the carmelised grill marks on the meat, to it slicing like butter, this was by FAR the best steak I have ever had on Ireland!
I have been highly recommending this restaurant to all of my family and friend and will most definitely be back in 2021 for another amazing culinary experience.

D.We had a nice dining experience at the Clermont last evening the quality of the food and service was superb. their Covid checks are first rate, temp check before entry assure you of their safety protocols. The variety of the menu is good. The table service is quick and staff were extremely helpful however I thought it was a bit regimental especially when we were still finishing drinks a member of staff came over and informed us that they needed the table back asap
Also I noticed the 10% service charge at the end of the blll, which I felt was inappropriate for just 2 people considering tipping is normally discretionary, normally service charges are applied when there are 6 people or more. We've dined in a few restaurants both in Louth and Dublin and have never seen a service charge on a Bill for 2 people.

E.It's a lovely restaurant very modern and all of the staff are very friendly, they follow the COVID-19 guidelines to the letter including taking temperature on arrival so it helps you feel calmer and safe which must be applauded. The downside would be that the food portions are quite small which isn't great considering it is a little pricey to eat here but in saying that the food is tasty.

B. M.Ok I really wanted to like this place for all the wonderful things I had heard about this place but sadly it has not lived up to my expectations. Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the covid safety measures in place are excellent and the ambience is great too. Unfortunately I ordered the salad with extra chicken. Too dry (chicken) and so much dressing it was inedible. Kids liked their food, maybe I will order plain pasta or the goujons next time! The wine was lovely 🤭
So voiced my disappointment and I have to say it was handled very professionally. 5 stars for service. Would come here again but probably will try something other than the salad 🤦♀️

I. L.Couldn’t recommend enough. Food and service were what you’d expect from the very best of restaurants. The decor is incredible, lovely paintings and a big tree in the middle of the restaurant. Bathrooms were great too. I had the short rib and my girlfriend had the pizza, both really good. The short rib comes from a farm only down the road which is good to know. Staff knew about all the food on the menu which was impressive. We will be back again for sure.

A very harmonious combination of all the elements of a good restaurant - marvelous food, excellent service, elegant and pleasant interior. I went to this place with my mother for a dinner, because I wanted to make her evening unforgettable and the restaurant provided all the necessary assistance to make that night so special. When we got inside, we could not take our eyes off the paintings. I don’t even know what at that moment I wanted more, to eat or appreciate our surroundings. The logo made of mosaics was magnificent. I tried Clermont Chowder and potato gnocchi ... I couldn’t even dream of a better dinner. The portions are huge, I could have never imagined that I could eat it all of it but as I was casually enjoying the conversation and the tasty meal I realized that my plate was squeaky clean. The wine list perfectly complemented the food that was served to us and would satisfy the strictest of critics.:)
Desserts deserve special attention!!my almond-pear tart was extremely delicious.
And that's not all. The staff creates a real homely atmosphere. Ken has really impressed my mother with his professionalism and enthusiasm to make every customer feel special. He is not only very attentive with visitors, but he makes a great manager and team leader as we were very impressed with the organization structure of the restaurant and how every little aspect was run in the bistro. Aine is simply charming, after her recommendations you want to eat and drink what you hadn't even planned from the very beginning.
Paul&Kerry, they both are so attentive and friendly!we didn’t even notice how time flew past.
The Clermont is rather like a gallery, where you can enjoy the food as well as art.
You will absolutely be amazed!!

u.I was sceptical about going in due to rumour mongering but this place is lovely. The decor is bright and fresh and very up market. The staff were very nice and helpful and polite. The bar menu was well priced and had a good selection, the wait on the food was fine and the food was delicious. I will definitely go back

My friends had the beef and it was to die for! This restaurant will not disappoint you, spotless throughout , great location and genuine friendly staff lent to a night to remember.

That was quite the wait. The food was fantastic and no complaints there. They need to work more on getting organized. A lot of hard work went into this restaurant so I do highly recommend going in at a less busy time.

I had never been here before but was told this was recently renovated and wow it looked fabulous. We were a group of 14 and were seated outside under the marine blue canopy which had heaters which the ladies very much welcomed. Kids and parents visited the toilets as you do and super clean and very nicely decorated. On to the food wow, wow, wow from the starters; I had the prawns in a delicious garlic olive oil and herb sauce. The prawns were fresh and the sauce well if there had been anymore bread I would have soaked up every last drop. Main course went for the fish and chips. Fixh cooked perfectly broke up nicely when cut but not one dry piece to be found. Daughter had mussels I prob ate half of them and they were nearly as good as my grandma's recipe so high praise indeed. Dessert was delicious too Pear and I think walnut pie. Everyone including fussy kids loved the food. The staff were friendly and efficient on what was a busy evening. The bill wasn't cheap but this ain't no take away this is a serious restaurant so you will pay for what you get and what we got was faultless.

The food was delicious, even if you imagine a little more under a gourmet burger ... There was no salad or anything on the bun, only meat and cheese. The salon with three floors had something like a bar, but still had a restaurant atmosphere. This restaurant is the bourgeois, cheaper and less exquisite form of The Break restaurant, which belongs to the Clermont Arms and can be found on the same street. All in all, I was satisfied with our visit there and would probably come back again if I am on the coast again.

Eine Gute internationale Küche mit Bezahlbaren Preisen. Unsere Bedienung wirkte etwas lustlos, aber das war nicht weiter schlimm. Das Essen war lecker, auch wenn man sich unter einem Gourmet Burger etwas mehr vorstellt... Es war keinerlei Salat oder ähnliches auf dem Bun, ausschließlich Fleisch und Käse. Der Salon mit drei Etagen hatte etwas Bar ähnliches, aber dennoch Restaurant Atmosphäre. Dieses Restaurant ist die bürgerliche, billigere und weniger Exquisite Form von dem Restaurant The Break, welches zu Clermont Arms gehört und in der selben Straße zu finden ist. Alles in allem war ich mit unserem Besuch dort zufrieden und würde, wenn ich nochmal an der Küste bin, wahrscheinlich wieder kommen.
