Food was beautifully presented. However, about four fork fulls of lamb on the shank in total. No taste of honey and whisky glaze either. Standard dish worthy of a "good" three star rating, however overpriced for what it was. On a side note, tried some of my partner's pizza and that was amazing

An edge to the menu choices made it an ideal place to celebrate my daughters birthday. We were not disappointed, the food was well presented great flavour and so fresh. The décor and ambiance is calming, staff are helpful and professional. A thank you to Aaron and the town house staff for the special dessert and the great version of Happy Birthday which really surprised my daughter 🎶

We were excited to dine at the townhouse as we’re new to Dundalk and had friends come up from Dublin to join us. Fish (John Dory) was only okay, served with cold chopped new potatoes that weren’t tasty ,friend ordered rack of lamb and already sold out at 6.30pm! Will try pizza next time as the wood fire oven was kept busy . 3 stars for the food as it’s overpriced, very friendly and welcoming staff.

First time in The Townhouse . We were looking forward to it after hearing great things. We were seated by a very polite and friendly Rob who was front of house . Lovely warm feeling to the place with all guests chatting away . Amy our waitress was exceptional as she narrated the specials with such detail and knowledge of the food on the menu a real food enthuasist . We chose the pan fried scallops with cauliflower puree and monkfish in a taco shell . Both were cooked to perfection but the flavours were what stood out . Not your average run of the mill starters which most restaurant s rely on . For mains we ordered the chick pea vegetable curry with quinoa and T-bone steak . The curry was plentiful with veg and so tasty . Steak was cooked medium rare to my liking and the way it was seasoned left me want more . The detail to the tastes really impressed me as I am local and I believe Dundalk is a great restaurant town but the diversity of dishes here sets them from the rest . Apart from the food , all the staff were so knowledgeable about the food and so attentive , they are such professional s and obviously hand picked for their skills . As for value very affordable regarding food and drinks . We will be back .

Townhouse is easily my favourite for lunch and dinner in town. The steak burger is the best burger I've had in Dundalk, and the rosemary fries are novel and perfectly done. I've also been for a big birthday dinner and they handled a large complicated order without misstep. The wood fire pizza oven is only on for dinner, and worth making a trip for. Lastly, all the cocktails I tried were tasty, the moonshine one being a punchy standout.

Food and service really excellent, tables well spaced to observe social distancing, with partitons between where necessary, hand sanitizer on all tables. With all this in place atmosphere comfortable and relaxed. We would have no problem recommending the Townhouse for a very enjoyable eating experience

Just ordinary food. Pretentious menu, would expect original Italian meals, specially regarding Italian dish names and restaurant history. Food is nice, tasty,big portions, nice presentation. But it's not Italian as you would presume. Very good cocktail list. Very good service

Great building,for a start.Lovely decor.Staff are so nice and friendly but so professional giving great recommendations. Ate here last night and wow .... amazing from start to finish. We were warmly greeted, educated recommendations for food and wine, starters, main courses and desserts were some of the best we’ve had (and we’re foodies!) The service was second to none... we ended the night with a cocktail and it was FANtastic!! The bill was much lower than what we expected for what we got on the night.... Cannot wait to go back again! By far the best restaurant in Dundalk/Louth ❤️

This was a disappointing dining experience. The scallops starter was outstanding and really gave me hope for the potential dining experience. The pizza was bland and tasteless. Chips were lovely. My husband ordered arancini which came on a bright pink puree. There was a beetroot element in the meal. The arancini was made from butternut squash...tasteless. The tiramisu dessert was tiny but tasty. My husband ordered lamb as a main it was tasty but the vegetables Carrots and Parsnips chips were burnt and hidden under the lamb. It was also served in a bowl and very greasy. At 24 euros this was a complete disappointment. The food was delivered to our table surprisingly quickly. I will not be returning to this restaurant. Eno was streets ahead in terms of quality of food and creation of ambience. The music in the townhouse was totally forgettable. We were in a party of four and we all decided we would not return. It is a shame because staff were very attentive. The menu is pretentious unfortunately.

Booked with OpenTable, called on the day of booking and had no problem extending our booking from 3-5 seats. Restaurant was busy so we appreciate them accommodating us. Food was very good and really shines above the rest of Dundalk. Small but adequate portions and very affordable. 3 course dinner for 5 with some drinks came to just over €150
