f.My fiancé and I adore the food served at Darchini Restaurant. Mamun and his team are extremely courteous and our interactions are always perfectly pleasant. We frequent the restaurant and as a result of this the servers often throw in a free side or an extra serving of poppadom for us. Unfortunately in recent times the quality of the food has declined. One thing we noticed, was that during each lockdown when the restrictions required that restaurants could only operate as takeaways, the food was at its highest standard. Now that the restaurant has reopened it appears to be quite busy. Although, I am truly delighted for the owners given the ramifications of the multitude of lockdowns, I must admit I have been making orders less often. Today, when my fiancé went to collect our order, the server told us that he had forgotten to make our food. He was very apologetic but it was disappointing. We had had a difficult day and were in a bit of a hurry. The mixed vegetable curry was my favourite dish but in recent times it has been very oily and uncomfortably spicy. This had, up until recently, been a fairly tame dish. We always enjoy the addition of free poppadoms with our order but now when we receive them they are practically inedible, they are so soggy and very unpalatable. It’s the little things that can really make a difference. In the past, the poppadoms were always outside of the brown bag which stopped them from going soggy. All in all, the food is excellent but lately the quality is unpredictable. Personally, I do not believe that they can handle the addition of customers that are dining in the restaurant alongside their usual customers who are ordering to take-away. I wouldn’t want to deter anyone from dining here, they serve the best Indian food that I’ve ever had. It’s just worth noting that it can be hit or miss with this particular restaurant.

R. M.This is one of the best restaurants to go to to enjoy a fabulous meal. The staff are very friendly and courteous. The food was amazing full of flavour and an ample portion size. The cost is excellent value for money. To top it all off you can bring your own alcohol and there is an off license right across the road. I would highly recommend this restaurant .
