And about that smoke salmon well as a chef myself and foodie I can only say one thing....
You guys are so far from my home that I'm dying to go back and have a delicious meal at your place.

J. Q.Wish there was a 6 star option for this place. It’s a unique and magical west of Ireland dining experience. Amazing fish prepared in innovative ways. Try to get a taxi out there so you can enjoy their fine wine. Also make sure you walk down to the beach during your stay to see the bay. This is the best restaurant on the coast by some way. Do not miss.

Unfortunately this steak was full of sinu and not editable.
It was still charged full price. I would go back to this restaurant again as the rest of the meal was very good.

M. S.Our favourite meal in Ireland! Fantastic food, service, and unbeatable view. We had the 5-course Chef's surprise, seafood for me, meat for my husband, and were delighted every course. A must go if you are in the area. They have a garden in the back that you can wander through, and source a lot of local ingredients. We didn't make reservations, but got lucky as we were travelling late Sept.

It had a fitting name because each dish that came out really surprised us on how well presented they were and how delicious simple and fresh ingredients were made to come together and complement each other for a really tasty meal...would definitely be coming back again, hats off to the cheff and staff, thank you for a memorable evening!
A. E. l.Out of all the restaurants I have been to while visiting the many cities in Ireland. This one would be at the too of the list as a must on your bucket list while in Ireland. Wonderful family owned restaurant. Plenty of parking. Awesome ocean views. Ambient lit on the evening. Food as I'm sure you would assume by my 5 stars was scrumptious! We ordered a pumpkin soup started. We were torn between the surprise chef selected seafood dish but went with the Halibut dish. It came with delicious home grown carrots and Irish potatoes. We then followed dinner with a ginger bread dessert with poached pears and homeade vanilla ice cream. I'm telling you this is a must! Delicious!!

Yes, I know it's a seafood restaurant but their website also plays up the quality of their steak. My son's steak as well as mine were relatively thin and overcooked and did not feature the flavour of a great steak. Those who had the fish were happy. Bottom line; always order the fish at a fish restaurant.

The John Dory is cooked to perfection, fantastic wine and the service is impeccable. Muireann, our waitress for the evening, was amazing. So knowledgable about all the produce, attentive, but not intrusive. Molly and Ciara were also so fantastic. Highly recommend and 5-stars.

U. M. S.Perfect lazy afternoon. Love this place, the chefs' respect for great ingredients is there in every mouthful. The menu changes by the day depending on what is freshest, and everything that can be sourced locally is. The staff are warm and accommodating while also giving diners enough space and time to savour the excellent food, atmosphere and view. The menu is the best in the area, I've never felt rushed off a table, and nothing has disappointed me. It's also a very reasonably priced menu given the high quality and meal experience. I will always highly recommend this family run business, do make a point of getting here.

Quaint, welcoming atmosphere with candles lighting. Lovely, friendly & relaxed staff! No issue accommodating my requests for sauces/dressings on the side.
We both opted for the surprise seafood menu. The breads & 'rud beag' were lovely treats as were our scallop & mussel starters. Sorbet was a little sweet for my taste so passed on that. We both agreed that the mains were a little rich for fish dishes - buttery sauces, stuffing in my fish and a phenomenally creamy potato gratin. A bit disappointed with dessert unfortunately too. The white chocolate 'brownie' was more like a cookie or flapjack. This was served cold for some reason as was my apple crumble. Had lovely locally packed mint tea to finish!
Had a lovely evening but overall meal experience did not have the wow factor I had hoped for.

We dined with an exquisite fish soup and a mixed fish dish with: lobster, mussels, oysters, salmon and smoked trout. All fresh and very tasty, the only sore point is that everything was served cold. At least I would have preferred the lobster and mussels lukewarm, if you happen to ask. The staff, very kind and understanding, will get you the dish as you wish. Recommended!

Abbiamo cenato con una zuppa di pesce squisita ed un piatto di pesce misto con: aragosta, cozze, ostriche, salmone e trota affumicata. Tutto fresco e molto saporito, unica nota dolente è che il tutto è stato servito freddo. Almeno l’aragosta e le cozze le avrei preferite tiepide, se vi capita chiedetelo. Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant in dem es immer eine Überraschung gibt. Die Menüs sind sog. Überraschungsmenüs, d.h. man wählt ob man Fisch, Fleisch oder Vegetarisch essen möchte. Auch wenn z.B. 2x Fisch genommen wird, so sind die Gerichte jeweils unterschiedlich. Sollten irgendwelche Allergien bestehen so kann man das selbstverständlich vorher mitteilen und die Küche nimmt dann Rücksicht darauf.
Das Essen war wirklich sehr gut und das Personal sehr aufmerksam.
