If there were 10 stars i would give them. Just had the most amazing lunch. 100% all round. Great quality food fantastic presentation. And the staff are just the nicest I've seen in a restaurant in a long time. Worth the journey from Limerick. Well done Sherwood Inn.

Top notch variety of food from breakfast to dinner. Staff are sound, prices very reasonable and have delivery service which started using when covid hit which is brilliant. Hope they keep it when indoor dining starts again as most of time a queue to get table when sitting in allowed.

Enjoyed a wonderful meal with a friend who recommended this place. It's hidden within the Tesco shopping centre in Ennis just off the center of town. Experienced a short wait that was well worth it. Seafood cakes were absolutely fabulous, and shouldn't be missed. Both meals were perfectly served. The salad accompanying then was delicious. They don't serve beer, but had a nice selection of wines. The takeout window was busy and I can understand why. Definitely a local gem that's worth finding.

Lovely food. Huge choice available for lunch or dinner! While they used to be cash only, they now accept card! Very cheap prices for huge portions of food! There is usually a 15 minute wait for the table but the wait isn't long once you've sat down and ordered. I used to go every Friday but I am now a coeliac and unfortunately they stopped doing gluten free food 2 years ago. However, I couldn't fault the quality and its still worth 5 stars! ✨ Freindly staff (especially Mary who would often give me a free drink of hot chocolate) highly recommended!

Amazing place in Ennis Town. For Lunch or Dinner, they close by 8, if I'm not wrong. Great fresh food, fish is lovely, Veggie Cheese Burger is delicious! Deep Fried Brie (I had it with salad) I didn't have a nice salad in a restaurant before, it had everything! and the Brie was perfectly cooked, not broken with the cheese coming out of it 😀. My son had Veggie Lasagna with Chips and Salad, he was delighted! DEFINITELY I'LL BE BACK! Very Important, VERY CLEAN and The Food is and looks really good and fresh. I am a fussy eater and if I don't like something I'm not coming back. This place deserves a GO! They said to me that they have been there for about 30 long years... I have been there three times in the last month already, for my first time! 🤩

Went for a breakfast. Really good value for money. Were served promptly and were able to jiggle menu. It's pay as you order so no waiting for bill. Just be sure to have cash on you. Sure they open all day.

Great value. Friendly staff. The veg always has lots of butter so not great if you're trying to avoid that (I asked for the veg without butter but it's almost impossible for them to do that) . Can be quite busy and I've sometimes had to wait a little bit at peak times. Oh, and you can only pay with cash, though there's a cash machine just outside the shopping centre. The seating is arranged in little cubicles where you can fit 2 adults and 4 kids or maybe 6 adults at a tight squash. Not so wheelchair accessible then, though maybe they have a designated spot for wheelchairs?

A pleasant surprise. This is basically a deli that like almost every restaurant in Ireland also has a lot of pub food. The menu is pretty heavy with a lot of fairly large portions with a lot of meat, chicken, fish and even breakfast with very little vegetarian dishes or lighter meals. We had a salad and the Shepard's pie. Both were excellent, the Shepard's pie was quite large with the sides but both tasted very good. I also like that you pay at the beginning right when you order and then when you are done you just leave which I really liked.

If you want an honest plate of food and great service, this is the place to go. Great grub, friendly staff, combined with a casual, relaxed atmosphere. If you're visiting Ennis, don't go home without calling to The Sherwood!

This place is always hit or miss. I've had some really nice food there on occasion, but other times it's been disastrous. I wish their quality of food and service would be more consistent. They also only accept cash, which is ridiculous in 2017.

We used sherwood catering for a hen this past weekend in Ballyvara House in Doolin. There was a group of 16 of us. The food was lovely and just perfect for the occasion. The only issue was the attitude of the sherwood representative. Firstly the cater asked if it would be possible for us to eat early as " she was not meant to be on tonight and was meant to be going out " - frankly this had nothing to do with us and came across extremely unprofessional. We had booked a package that would include using the caters cutlery to avoid having to clean up after. The cater asked if she could "use the plates in the house and she would show us how to use the dishwasher " - this was outside the point and we had full knowledge how to work it. We booked to eat at 8pm and she kept asking in the run up to 8pm " is everybody down yet". Now we are a very easy going bunch but bottom line is we paid for a service and felt like we had someone trying to pull a fast one. There was an vibe that we had put this individual out because she wanted a night out. Unfortunately if we hadn't to deal with the attitude we would have given great feedback. Just disappointment aloud that we had to deal with that.

Popular moderately priced restaurant in Ennis co.Clare. On previous occasions everything had been normal but on this occasion everything went from bad to worse, the food was horrible, perhaps the reason was the time we went (at the end of the day) and They gave us the rest that was left in the kitchen
