After our first review we spoke to mark the owner and he assured us that it was not a member of his staff that we spoke to.So we called back in again for a second review and was very pleasantly surprised with the friendly staff and the great food.We got a table straight away They had a big marquee for outdoor dining.After we finished our dinner I asked our waitress if we could talk to mark and he was happy to come out to talk to me he was very friendly and professional I am happy to change my last 1star review to a 5 star review and wish mark the best in his restaurant and we will be back again we would recommend the slaney Inn 100%

Nice and clean restaurant with lots of parking to the back. You can have your food inside or outside depending on weather. Food came quickly and was very nice. The 3 of us all had different meals, all were generous portions and very reasonably priced. Staff are nice and made sure to check with us if everything was ok or if we needed something. Will be back, highly recommended. Thank you

Good old fashioned country kitchen food. Large portion and timely with friendly staff on duty. No mention of pulled pork, brioches, or other faff, but use local produce. Reasonably priced specials in addition to a regular menu. Good working pub grub.

Picked up 4 turkey and ham dinners as a Sunday take away the food is divine as always piping hot and great value....Great jobs guys and really nice to see businesses putting this kind of efforts in these hard times... will be back next Sunday

I remember walking in here, looking at the menu and thinking I'd seen it before. It appears to be a way of cooking that's taught in cookery schools or FETAC catering courses. They teach you how to make 4 or 5 things that nobody (and I mean nobody) can be reasonably expected to screw up. There is no vegetarian option on the menu. If you want vegetarian, go elsewhere, or accept the fact that you're going to get a chicken curry with no chicken. Powdered curry sauce. The 'just add water' kind. Not spicy so much, just a strong taste of chemicals. I ate the rice. 3 stars because nice staff, it was a warm place on a cold day and the bathrooms were lovely and clean, even if they did have a trough in the gents.
