Greeted by great service on entering. Ordered the mussels and sirloin steak. Mussels was plump and the garlic broth was amazing~ do ask for some bread so you can dip it in the garlicky yummy broth! Loved the steak! The onion ring was huge! Cooked well as per your request. Will really recommend here for the food, service and atmosphere :)

Best meal in Ireland. Value for money like nowhere else. Generous portions, delicious chowder, perfectly cooked steak and turbot. Cheesecake was good (fluffy), but the ice cream was wonderful. Whiskey was even better and cheaper than at regular pubs. Attentive, fun servers in a warm ambience. Hope this place keeps up the incredible standards!

Brilliant place to have a lovely meal. The service was good, quick and helpful. The food was excellent. I was craving for a steak, and got the fillet cut. It was mouth melting good! Medium rare with the pepper sauce, the chef did it right in every way. Good drinks selection, and ambience too.

Quite a snug bar/restaurant with plenty of really good whiskey to choose from. Went to a Redbreast whiskey tasting there and got to sample Redbreast 27yr old which is hands down probably the nicest Irish whiskey I've ever had. The 5 course meal was quite delectable and very well presented. Will definitely visit there again

We had a group of 18 pilgrims in Galway for three nights and visited The Brasserie on our last night. Everything about our dining experience was truly special. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was classy (and classic Irish) yet relaxed, and all three courses were delicious (in particular the 1st course mussels). However, the highlight of the evening was the surprise Irish Coffee demonstration put on by Ulick. Ulick was absolutely fantastic as he told the history of the Irish Coffee and showed us how to make them. Very informative and entertaining. Not to mention the best Irish Coffee we ever had! If you get the chance, don't pass up a visit to this great establishment.

There was a middle aged male member of staff who seemed to storm about and be rude and grumpy - I didn’t see him actually do anything. Fiest impressions, the brasserie is attractive and inviting. The Christmas decor us subtle but festive. Had a delicious meal this evening at The Brasserie. Our waitress, Sinead, was a total delight and totally attentive to our needs. The mussels, shared between us, were delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and the monkfish was tender and delicious. Overall the meal was great topped off by Sinead's banter and service. Would recommend this restaurant 100%

This was a great ending to a long day. We had flown in, went to the Cliffs of Moher, then drove to Galway. We found this restaurant just walking around and looked at the menu. We were craving seafood and this place seemed perfect. We enjoyed the 2 course meal option. Started with clam chowder which was creamy and delicious. Had actual chunks of clam! Main course was the sea trout that came on a bed of potatoes and mussels on the side. Everything was cooked perfectly and pair well with a Guinness, of course!

One of the best eateries in the heart of Galway, a stone's throw from rail or bus stops. It never fails to satisfy one's appetite, whether breakfast or dinner, or perhaps a quick pint. Great service. Presentation of food is beautiful and appetizing but portion size small for what you pay. After hearing so many great reviews I was expecting better to be honest. Had the special which was venison salad, was expecting warm freshly cooked medium rare venison, instead it was cold and seemed precooked to well done from a previous day. Three small slices on the same type of salad leaves and dressing that you get in almost every bar-type restaurant in Ireland. 5 stars for service and presentation.

Had my work Christmas night out there we had a meal there it was only OK for me. I had the venison which was fine the veg with it had a type of mushroom with it I had to use the steak knife to cut it, the desert was a chocolate mousse I was told when I ordered it it was inedible it was as hard as a rock I could not get the spoon through it with ease I let it melt down a bit and it was disappointing far too bitter, and I like dark rich desert but this I couldn't eat it left an aftertaste in my mouth I had to buy mints, overall unempressive I won't be returning for food anytime soon

We went to Brasserie as two couples and had a wonderful meal and service there. We started with the goat cheese appetizer and the mussels, both delicious and the mussels were some of the best I've had. The seafood chowder was my favorite of the trip as well. Our table entrees included the halibut, scallops, and lamb. All were served hot and well prepared. We were celebrating a birthday and they included our choice of dessert. We chose a sticky toffee... again, one of my favorite desserts of our trip.

Fantastic atmosphere and food. The watermelon martini was fabulous, and the mussel starter and chicken wings were HUGE! Even 1/2 kg is plenty for an appetizer with at least 20 mussels in a delicious garlic sauce, and the wings must have had 10-15 with a wonderful barbecue sauce. The pan fried Trout with a mussel sauce and scallops was great, and the steak was cooked to perfection. Both came with delicious sides. Everything was fantastic,down to the service, and we will absolutely be back next time we find ourselves in Galway!

On Wednesday 19 September I booked lunch for three - two were on holiday from USA. The food was absolutely outstanding ... as was the service. My only regret is that I live in Cork, not Galway as I would be there regularly to sample even more of the chef's delicious food. This is food at its best, congrats to the chef on the succulent and expertly presented slow cooked Lamb. I am so happy to have checked out Brasserie On the Corner before I travelled. Service was terrific! We didn't have a reservation, but they accommodated us right away. My husband got the prefixed 3 course meal, while I did a couple of things off the starters menu. The seafood chowder was filled with chunks of seafood and a hint of potatoes, but had too much dill for my liking; my husband loved it. The waitress served bread made on the premises; 1 was a Guinness brown bread, which wasn't your typical heavy brown bread and was very moist; the other was a brown soda bread which was also good, but I preferred the former. We also shared a delightful ceasar salad that automatically came with chicken on it. I would have ordered it without chicken if I knew. Lastly I got the lobster and chive ravioli in a lobster bisque sauce and my husband got the lamb shoulder. The bisque was not what I expected as a traditional bisque. This was more of a tomato stew with ravioli in it. I also couldn't tell there was lobster in the ravioli, but could definitely taste and see the chive. The lamb was fall-off-the-bone tender and was very very good. That came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Both done nicely. Dessert was an apple tart with the most amazing homemade cinnamon cream and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Also very very good. Overall, loved the atmosphere and the service, wasn't crazy about everything I got, but my husband was. Should try it out.

The service was fast especially as the resturant/bar was well packed. We all had a meat dish, I had the lamb, it was fantastic. I recommend that you book ahead as this Gem is popular and very busy. I have had Lunch in Galway many times over the years. The Basserie On the Corner is definitely the place to go to. I had lunch there on Friday and it was superb in every way. The food , service and the ambience was out of this world. The tariff was very very reasonable as well.
