Visited with a friend, we both ordered a Paella dish and a patatas+meat dish (each) expecting the portions to be a traditional tapas size and therefore manageable. However the portion sizes were actually far more generous than we had expected and therefore very filling (and we ended up not finishing it all). Anyway the food was delicious, we had the Paella Marinara and the Veggy Paella, patatas/chorizo and patatas/iberico. The interior (we sat upstairs) was traditional and cosy and meant a very nice dining experience. The staff were courteous and enthusiastic about their place of work (which you don't see often) and we even got a complimentary aperitif after the meal, we went for a Kahlua. Highly recommended but do make a booking.

We came to Galway for a few days and cava was on our list and it certainly didn’t disappoint.. we started across the street with a bottle of cava while we were waiting for our table and we absolutely didn’t mind that at all as there was other groups and couples doing the same and the weather was fantastic for it. We were sat after about 30/35 mins but our server piedro(hope I spell it correctly) who was great fun and had loads of knowledge about the food and gave great recommendations. The food was just epic, the squid, yes please! The Catalan spinach I would also highly recommend. Oh and leave room for dessert! It was really busy too for a Tuesday evening and the lads just rocked it. All in all we had fantastic experience here at cava and can’t wait to go back 🙂

Good food but there is nothing inside the plate and it's really expensive for the quality and the quantity... We just ate yesterday in Limerick and same price for a lot of DE-LI-CIOUS food.

God bless the world. An excellent Spanish restaurant in Galway Ireland with a Romanian host and a Nigerian server. Do not hesitate to spend your time and money here!
P. H.
Amazing food nice atmosphere, so much variety. Frequent the place a lot.
Love the layout warm cozy.
Great service indoor and outdoor dining.
Book ahead as it is very busy most days.
Fantastic experience and I would recomend trying a variety of dishes as they are for sharing between people.

What a lovely team running this place. We had such a great meal. The atmosphere was great and the food was really tasty. Deserves its good reviews
R. D.
The food was just amazing. The quantity was really less, but compensates with the taste and very rightly justifies the Michelin star 2021.
The desserts are a must try. The cheesecake just melts in your mouth, the best cheesecake I have had in Galway. Highly recommended.
D. W.
Cava Bodega is the best tapas place in the west of Ireland, hands down. The food is always amazing, great atmosphere and the staff are top tier lovely people.
R. W.
Amazing food and atmosphere!
Best birthday dinner ever 🧡

Cava Bodega simply is a gem and a must when In Galway. Great ambiance for any night out. The night was made perfect by the music playing, the table service, the wine, the food which was exceptional with lots of choice, flavour and excellent quality. We were able to sit and enjoy everything without feeling rushed. Special shout out to Jack who was helpful, polite and professional. Without a doubt I'll be back again.
A. F.
Nice little tapas bar. Food was delicious and service fast and friendly.

Lovely experience.
Tapas were great. We ordered a total of 7 dishes plus 2 desserts. Ended up a bit too full.
I'd recommend for a couple to go with 5-6 tapas and desserts.
Food was great and authentic. Felt to be in Spain for a bit.
Lovely staff and decorations of the place.
Very very happy with the dinner.
G. K.
Such a lovely restaurant, friendly staff & very tasty Tapas, a little gem in Galway
P. C.
With no reservations we were warmly greeted and somehow seated immediately! (word to the wise, this place fills up and reservations are recommended!) Enjoyed a fantastic meal with the fiance, shared everything, and will absolutely return if I find myself in Galway again!
S. O.
Delightful. Sit in the basement where you can see the cook. Try the Catalan ratatouille, the octopus with potatoes, the black pudding and scallops. You will not be disappointed. Full of locals (always a good sign). Great service and atmosphere

Knowing my party was visiting Galway, and knowing the town has a distinct Spanish influence, I just knew they had to have at least one outstanding Spanish restaurant. Cava Bodega delivered without fail! The food is amazingly delicious and the wait staff so gracious and warm. They hit top marks across the board, as the decor is equally as sharp as the food and service. Definitely visit if you're in the mood for a culinary treat along the Wild Atlantic Way.
A. M.
Amazing food and amazing service. Felt full and well looked after when leaving.
R. M.
Lovely restaurant with nice atmosphere and friendly staff. 4 or 5 of the dishes we had were delicious (chicken fillet was amazing). Dessert was very good too. Would go back again!
C. K.
Fantastic spot, the staff can't do enough for you, food really really excellent, just brilliant. Highly recommended.

This was our favorite place to eat on our entire trip to Ireland. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. The setting is perfect. Foot and car traffic is light so it's just mellow and relaxing to sit outside and enjoy your food. The service was fantastic, we were a little overwhelmed with all the amazing options and the waiter took his time to figure out what types of food we liked and made some great recommendations. The dexter ribs was probably the best dish of food I've had in a long time. If you don't stop here to eat you've been warned that you're missing one of the best restaurants in all of Galway.
K. H.
Best food I've had in a while. Amazing atmosphere. The service was amazing. Matthew in particular was fantastic. Will be back very soon and recommending to my friends!
J. B.
This was one of the best meals we had in Ireland. Found it in a review site and walked in on a Sunday and were seated right away. The service was great and attentive and he recommended we pick out our food first then order the wine. We started with the cheese and meat board, octopus pinchos and then did the wild mushrooms, wild mussels, and lamb. It was more than enough for two people! All paired with a great Tempranillo, and was only $108. Best meal we've had so far
M. d. W.
Delicious tapas/pinxchos/wine. Beautiful weather in Galway, but we decided to sit in the cellar of this bodega... Well worth it. Loved the lamb chops and lb belly in hazelnut sauce.
C. P.
Absolutely excellent. I couldn't recommend it enough. Best food I've had in Galway. Definitely the best Spanish food I've had outside of Spain. The staff were great! Highly recommended
S. L.
Had dinner midweek. Nice restaurant, friendly staff, very attentive and polite. Food was beautiful. Would recommend
L. C.
The food was divine, the Albariño was gorgeous, but the staff stole my heart! Knowledgeable, good natured, and definitely made me excited to return. Thanks for everything.
N. Z.
A beautiful gem filled with delightful Tapas. We went based on the very strong reviews we had read before ourtrip and wrote not dissapointed. We particularly enjoyed the octopus with potatoes but overall we only had good food, good drinks, and quick service. The decor is pleasant as well.
C. M.
Authentic tapas restaurant. Great wine selection. Definitely try make a booking as it's always busy! Gorgeous, tasty food.
M. C. A.
One of the best restaurants and experiences in Galway.
The service is absolutely fantastic.
Highly recommend with a group or as a date. So good
g. a.
Food was second to none took my family who visiting .. fantastic service and grub.. only problem my booking was for 9 and didn't get seated till after 9.30 .. should start telling guests when they being seated that have to table back back example 8.50 to let your staff clean and get set up
R. W.
Tasty, elegant food with outstanding service. Great gluten free options. Photos are of the mushrooms, monkfish, and mousse.
T. G.
Fantastic service, delicious Spanish cuisine. Definitely a place to go if you find yourself hungry in Galway!
D. K.
A bit expensive but the food is excellent they have vegetarian options which are so tasty. The staff where lovely very helpful as I have never had tapas before, it's a busy spot so call I g ahead for a table is a must. We got a bottle of champagne which was €45 and it was so good, I wouldn't eat here alot because if the price but that just me not being able to afford it, but I definitely would for a special Occasion.
R. B.
Food was great. Lovely tapas and consistent iberian theme maintained throughout.
S. H.
Oh my gosh. Amazing food. At not a bad price. After three plates we were full. We stumbled on this place and were so glad we did
C. S.
Really authentic pintxos and adventurous tapas. The scallops with black pudding and squid ink were incredible. Every bite was absolutely delicious
D. W.
Great vibe, great food and excellent wine.
Welcoming and easy going. Food was superb.
A must.

Amazing tapas, would highly recommend the pigs cheek, the patatas bravas and the squid. Our servers Sean and Pietro were absolute gentleman
C. H.
very good food and a decent portion to boot. good value too. Best Jamon
V. K.
Food was delicious. Staff busy, but the girl that served us was nice enough. Seriously, out of 5 tapas we tried, each better than before, and mixing flavors into something really special
v. s.
Amazing food, great wine , warm and welcoming staff. Well done. 100%
J. H.
The food was amazing with service to match, thanks Matthew! Looking forward to our next visit already!
D. D.
Amazing food cute restaurant overall had a great time!
M. W.
Intimate tapas spot 💯
Lots of interesting takes on Irish/Spanish dishes 👌🏽
F. K.
Loved everything about it.
Food was excellent
Staff were so efficient, helpful and friendly
A. W.
Utterly fantastic. The pork belly might in fact be the best I've ever eaten. The staff were knowledgeable, the wine reccomendation was spot on. We had 2 hours and I reccomend taking your time and ordering at least 5 or 6 plates of food for the full experience. Everything was perfectly seasoned, which is rare for many tapas places outside of Spain. If you're in Galway you would be mad not to check it out.
D. L.
Like the food and atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful especially as we were a big group
V. C.
We loved Cava Bodega. Food was delicious. We will be back.
c. d.
Was lovely meal we enjoy it so much and the staff first class will be back definitely thank you ❤️💯
D. W.
Amazing food, wonderful staff. Absolutely favourite place to eat in Galway
R. C.
Tapas by the owners of a Michelin Star restaurant, how can you go wrong? We loved the anchovies and lamb dish. Their wine selection is also great.
k. y.
Open at 12:00 PM, not 5:00 PM, delicious seafood and great service, the best thing I remember about Galway!
A. T.
Delicious Spanish food at Galway. Highly recommended.
Y. R.
Excellent service, fab food..Not usually a dessert person..But this homemade Ice cream, tiny meringue's & almond biscuits blew me away..Delish 😋
L. M.
Great food, great atmosphere and staff were lovely
L. F.
Great experience! I felt like I was in Spain for one evening! The food is amazing and the staff super helpful and friendly... for sure we will be back. Special compliment to Calvin (maybe Kalvin?!) how treated us like stars! An evening to remember for years
M. B.
Felt very safe from moment we walked in, and fabulous selection of tapas. There was nothing that came that we didn't love. Tried smoked duck, venison, the tuna paella special and lamb which was melt in my mouth delicious. Cannot wait to return
C. M.
Another solid experience. Kelvin is a great server, food was as good as ever
P. W.
Really nice and relaxing place great tasting tapas and menus.
H. S.
The staff is very welcoming and the food super tasty. The environment is quite "meety", with pork pieces hanging from hooks, so bear it in mind if you don't eat meat and find this disturbing. However, there are some veggie options (nothing well elaborated, but there are). I ate them so quickly that I don't have photos. The same owner has another restaurant around the corner that is more plant-based friendly (Sangria).
R. C.
Fabulous food and great wine. 5 stars
A. M.
My favourite restaurant in Galway, if you around for a few days it’s a must
T. B.
A great oul reliable for quality tapas in Galway. I have been coming here since it opened, the ever changing dishes on the menu always impress. Lovely wine options, good service and wonderful atmosphere no matter, if you are dining as a couple or as a group.
V. W.
One of the nicest meals I’ve had in a long time in Cava Bodega last night. Excellent service, our waiter was so knowledgeable about wine. All staff were really friendly and the food was delicious.
j. w.
My girlfriend took me here because she had been telling me how good it was and my god did it live upto the hype. Without a shadow of a doubt, some of the best food ive eaten in my entire life. The plum duck was a perfect dish and the same could be said for the lamb. The staff are all genuine, friendly and care about your experience. Definitely a meal to remember and I can't wait to return again.
P. M. A.
This is a must visit restaurant on any trip to Galway. The food is simply amazing. My favourite is the Boar’s Cheeks. It melts on the fork - yum. Make sure you book in advance it’s that good.
M. O. C.
Nice food very messy menu layout makes selecting items difficult
S. F.
Fantastic food, wine, and experience. I highly suggest you book a reservation in advance.
A. K.
Every time I'm in galway that's the place I go to eat the food is amazing and the chocolate mouse is my favourite. The staff are great
A. B.
Amazing food as usual, great staff. Lovely homemade pizza. A bit tiny starters and paella rice was not cooked as i would have loved it, but the taste is there and the flavours are wonderful all together.
S. W.
Loved it!! Delicious food, great friendly staff, lovely atmosphere
I. H.
Wonderful food but very lacking customer service. Our server seemingly disappeared midway though our meal leaving us with empty glasses and no way to Order more food. Overall the food was very tasty except for the chorizo which came out last and was extremely greasy and paired with some lackluster potatoes. For a 88 euro meal I expect more from a restaurant, particularly one this size, disappointing experience unfortunately for the price.
I would try elsewhere for better service for the price.
C. D.
Staff were really nice, knew the food well and made us feel welcome. The food was excellent, great flavours, plenty of variety. Nice dining room, not cramped. Great portion sizes too. Get the duck fritters. Great value too. Highly recommend.
C. L.
Reservations needed. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. The food was good. We ordered the octopus with potatoes and paprika and unfortunately there were nooks potatoes than anything else. Duck fritters were delicious (according to the husband since I don't eat meat) papas bravas were good, and the highlight of the meal was the Spanish wine along with the awesome goat cheese plate.
Y. M.
Fabulous food, great service. Love it
F. C.
Had a lovely dinner . The atmosphere is lovely and the service was great and fast. We liked the food but we came with very high expectations considering past reviews and those were sort of unmatched. We liked the duck.
E. K.
Really great staff, lovely food, jamon croquettas are great, salted cod was brilliant as well, get the churros for dessert. The chocolate ice cream is amazing.
Would love to go again when we can.
C. W.
Absolutely lovely night. Delicious food and impeccable service.
C. H.
Probably one of the best restaurants in Galway. Pretty much every dish on the menu is delicious. The decor is colourful and adds to the atmosphere of the place, and the staff are great. Not the cheapest, but considering the quality of the food, it’s actually very good value for what you get. They have plenty of vegetarian options too, but I really like their seafood tapas.
M. T.
Really enjoyed my meal here, felt like is was on holidays the second I got in the door. Food was very reasonably priced and very tasty. The wine was really good too. If I went back I'd order 2 tapas every hour rather than all six at once. Be nice to stay there a graze for hours.
c. s.
Great food so good went again next week
J. C.
The service was great from the start . The dishes where reccomnened very well along with the wines to go with them. The cleaning of the tables was extremely good didn't miss a spot . If you want good upscale tapas .. this place beats them all .
P. O. S.
The staff are friendly and familiar. They are willing to go out of their way to improve the dining experience for their customers. The decor is cosy and authentic. There is a Spanish feel to the place while it maintains the comfort of being local and genuine. The food is rich in local and international flavours. They do justice to Spanish cuisine while also honouring the quality local ingredients and culture that Ireland has to offer.
I perfect spot for lunch. One of the best in a city full of great quality food.
M. C.
Fantastic food, atmosphere and best of all the wine. The staff are really friendly and very helpful with the menu. I was not disappointed with the waitress recommendations. Overall a great experience and anyone visiting Galway should make sure they book a table here.
E. C.
Went here for dinner on Saturday July 13th with a group of friends. The food was delicious there was so many options to choose from and each dish was beautifully presented. The service was great, our waiter gave us great recommendations for how much to order and which wine to choose. Will definitely return.
L. W.
Nice little gem in the heart of Galway! Food was exceptionally fresh and the flavor was phenomenal. Our favorite dish was the Paella Marinara which was served with octopus/seafood for that day's service. A great dining experience for small groups that was a fantastic break from the traditional Irish cuisine typically found across the rest of the country.
F. M.
This is an interesting place, the food is really good, it's not the food I'd normally eat, but I went as part of a group and I really enjoyed it.
The beer is good too.
It may seem like a strange criticism but, there is too much on the menu, it's a bit of a mess and takes forever to get through it.
The toilet situation is a bit of a laugh as well. Only 2 cubicles for the entire place.
P. M.
Fantastic. Went there on the first evening of our trip, came back on our last day. Have promised ourselves to return to Galway, just to eat here again. Authentic tapas, but with a west of Ireland touch. Book in advance.
M. S.
In the Galway city centre, yet, when you are in there you feel like in the centre of Spain. Tapas served so fresh and delicious. Wine list - exquisite.
Smoked duck and pear salad is one of the best I have ever eaten.
Must go if you in Galway:)
A. G.
Great food, relaxed atmosphere, really good selection of wines...absolutely amazing!
N. E.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere and wonderful service. We will be back 😁
l. W.
Really nice place and friendly staff. The menu is huge and there is a big variety of tapas. 3 portions each or 5 between 2 people is what's recommended but can get a bit pricey for lunch. Good wine selection which can be rare. Need to go back and try other dishes.
L. B.
Quirky restaurant serving tapas, crepes, vegetable dishes. It is located on side street in Galway City. We had diced potatoes, monkfish, paella and duck. All the dishes were excellent, however the duck dish was strong flavoured. Great service. Would visit again.
D. B.
Very tasty food (strong 4 stars). Lovely restaurant inside very relaxed and friendly.
Have to give it a 3 star rating because the food is way over priced. 5 small portions 2 glass of wine €67. It’s supposed to be tapas, but it’s 4 times more expensive than any tapas I’ve had in Spain.
K. Q.
Best restaurant I've eaten at in Galway.
M. D.
Nice place and atmosphere, portion sizes are very irregular. Fish main dish was tiny and meat main dish was adequate, prices do not reflect the portion size. After spending 80euros on brunch (friend gave me a gift card) my girlfriend left hungry :)
B. B.
Brilliant Spanish food in the heart of Galway. Can't go past the octopus, paella and empanadas. Dessert was a hit too, as was the wine. Can't wait to return!
I. E. G.
Great food and service and kindly accommodated our group despite covid challenges
M. C.
Lovely food...really good Paella...lamb and the salted cod cakes are delish. Excellent value for money...2 people 2 courses 2 large glasses of wine tea and coffee only 60 euro.
If you like tapas and Spanish food...this is a must.
I'll be back!
k. g.
Definitely worth a visit in Galway, the tapas, wine and atmosphere is exactly what Galway is all about 👍
S.
The most diverse menu in Galway
E. O.
Was in Cava over the bank holiday weekend. The food was great so was the service. SOME of the tapas were a little expensive. SOME of the tapas were nearly the price that Dublin charge at 14.50 for one tapas a little too much for one tapas in Galway city. Bottle of wine was 33euro should really have only be around 25 or so.
Just reduce some of the prices a little.
A. H.
Very good tapas and good wine, reasonably priced. Colorful and lively, but cozy atmosphere. We ate too many plates because we just wanted to keep trying things!
a. D.
Excellent food, ambiance & staff overall wonderful Spanish experience
J. G.
Top notch food, highly recommend a visit!
D. H.
Amazing, friendly staff and very good wine selection. The tapas-style dishes are a refreshing break from the traditional (albeit delicious) pub food. We were seated in the lower level, but even the atmosphere down there was delightful! I'd definitely recommend checking this restaurant out!
C. C.
I wasn't expecting to find a Spanish Tapas Bar in Galway, but I stumbled upon this place while out walking in the rain. I had the octopus and potato dish which was lovely in a tomato sauce spiked with paprika. Also, the duck fritter with chili and seaweed jam - because the seaweed jam concept intrigued me. It was very good and quite different. The wine list is extensive and good - although being solo it would have been nice to have more by the glass. The place is very small and I was there early - I imagine it is hard to get a table at the normal dinner hour. Would definitely recommend.
E. L.
Great food. Great service. A little bit small.
F. G.
Always love going to Cava Bodega. The staff are great and very attentive. I only ever eat upstairs. Much prefer the ambience on street level.
I would suggest they make a few additions to the menu. It hasn't changed in some time...years. l will keep going though.
K. H.
Cava Bodega is always on our top list of dining out whenever we visit the fun and vibrant city of Galway. Staff friendly. Always busy , reservations recommended but could get a 9pm table most week nights. Tapas excellent , great selection of wine, always something new and interesting with food bursting with flavor and interesting combinations. Always a great choice
A. K.
We visited Cava with our 3 years old. They haven't regular chips and nuggets so we pick for our little one fish cakes and some fried sweet potatoes. He loves it. Unfortunately they don't share fish recipes :) I ordered paella for myself and my husband take a squid. All was really tasty. Higly recommended.
B. B.
Excellent food ,great choice,good service
A. K.
Amazing experience! We ordered a range of different tapas (vege, fish and meat based), and all were perfectly delicious. Couldn't resist dessert!
F. W.
Truly outstanding restaurant with inventive food that just happens to be served in tapas format - they aren't grasping at a fad like so many 'tapas' restaurants do, they're quite serious about it. Our boisterous party of five was seated downstairs by the kitchen, and we ordered a few rounds of their clever pinxtos while reviewing the menu - nearly everything was best-in-class, impossible to pick a favorite dish. Service was unobtrusive yet attentive, and their budget-friendly wines were a hit at our table. Highly recommended. Reservations a must.
M. G.
Liked every dish we tried quite a bit, especially the couscous. More attentive service than usual. It was a pleasant change of pace from the standard cuisine in Ireland (not to say we hadn't enjoyed that as well).
G. M.
Lovely staff, great guidance and the food was amazing. Really enjoyed the whole thing. Lovely buzzy little place and safe too with distancing etc.
M. H.
Great menu, only missing prawn dishes oddly. Dishes that we had were very tasty, great quality ingredients and generously portioned. Fairly priced and good value. Service was attentive without being overbearing. Will definitely be back!
C. O.
One of my favourite restaurants in Galway! Every single dish tastes amazing. Staff are friendly and helpful when trying to decide what food and how much you should order. Highly recommend for adventerous diners.
A. C.
I've been here twice and both times, my companions and I loved it! The food is really tasty, and reasonably priced. The dishes are a good size compared to some tapas restaurants and the selection is excellent. The wine was also lovely, and there is a good selection. My partner and I are vegetarian and we love it here. Only thing is you might need to book in advance even on weeknights but it's worth it. Would especially recommend the paella, romesco and apple pintxos, lentils with yogurt, patatas bravas and the garbanzos, as well as churros for dessert!
C. G.
The staffs were very good. The food was also good but It was a bit pricy. We were expecting for a full plate for the paella because of its price but it seemed like it was a half portion. I would go back if food portion were proportion for its price.
M. K.
Great night out on the town! Fab food & wine, very enjoyable experience. If you're looking for a place to dine with a happy welcoming vibe, attentive staff, interesting menu then Cava Bodega should be on your "great night out in Galway to do list"
N. M.
One of favorite dinners in Ireland. If you enjoy tapas and fine dining this is both. Great value for what you get. Fresh locally sourced ingredients. Great service. It’s open later that most places in Galway lucky for us as we arrived back in town so late. Just 1 block off Quay street, This hidden gem is a must for foodies.
T. D.
Great place to get some tapas!! Order a bunch and share with the table, I didn't have one thing I didn't enjoy. They also have an extensive wine list which is definitely worth exploring.
C. J.
Absolutely loved this place! I've tried just about every tapas place in galway and this is by far the best. Service was spectacular as well. Great wine too
D. R.
I've enjoyed eating in Cava Bodega many times since it first opened and it remains for me the best place for tapas-style dining in Ireland. However, on my most recent visit there, I had a real problem with the noise level in the restaurant, mainly caused by the loudness of the music being played. The music itself was appropriate to the setting, being mainly Spanish or Latin American which I'm very fond of, but it was far too loud for conversation during the meal I had with my wife, her brother and his wife. Of course, when music is played so loudly everybody in the restaurant must speak more loudly too, adding to the cacophonous assault on the ears. To be honest, I couldn't wait to get out of the place, despite the usual culinary excellence. I sincerely hope Cava Bodega isn't going the way of so many other modern, casual restaurants where uncalled for noise appears to be an essential element of the dining experience.
E. B.
Wonderful menu of a variety of Spanish cuisine. I'm a big fan of the tapas menu, and tend to stick to that every time I go. You can end up having a quite reasonably priced meal with a selection of tapas, or you can blow the budget and go for some of the more expensive options on that menu. It's wonderful to be able to tailor your dining to your budget in that way.
It books out quite often, so ring ahead to reserve a table as I've been disappointed many times when I've stopped in on a whim. Don't expect to be able to walk in and have a table on the busier nights later in the week.
I recommend checking out the many different sherries they have on offer too, not just their great wine menu.
A. K.
Really good tapas place. Great place for a date night or a dinner with friends. The seating at ground level doesn't look very nice but one in basement is quite classy. Everything we tried here yesterday was fantastic. My wife and I had no clue what to order and the staff was patient and helped us decide.
C. W.
Great tapas restaurant. The only thing stopping 5 stars, lunch isn't as nice as dinner. Which is weird because its the same menu.
A. D.
Lovely staff and a beautiful meal.
A. E.
Most fantastic evening here last night for a not to serious 'book club' gang of gals down from Dublin-food, atmosphere, craic & service top notch. The variety on the menu superb, the flavours outstanding and staff couldn't have been more helpful. Still dreaming of the fennel/kale/hazelnut Tapas. Second time here and getting even better. Can't wait to return.
A. C.
I must say, it's a place to come back to. Food was not only cooked but created to perfection. Delightful combination of flavors and impeccable atention to details by the chef. A true feast to your taste buds. Service was very nice as well. Cheers to the manager.
e. b.
Fantastic food :) wonderful service. First people in the downstairs restaurant and food came very prompt. (as we were first) tasted fantastic waiters were very knowledgeable really fine good food have been recommending to everyone I meet :)
S. O.
Nice atmosphere and food was ok, but have had better Tapas in Ireland. Maybe didn't order the best dishes! Biggest gripe was value for money. Thought it was a little expensive for what we got.
A. C.
One of the nicest tapas restaurants I have eaten in outside of Spain! Waitress Tarah was great! :)
V. S.
A great place to taste the delicious Spanish cuisine! Tapas were beyond great along with a wide selection of wines! Plus people working there are really nice and helpful! Would be the greatest in Ireland.
D. O.
Delicious food. 6 of us had dinner for my brother in laws significant birthday. The food was delicious. We had the croquettes, bacalao, meatballs and the duck. They were all very tasty, with some churros to finish
T. B.
Delicious tapas and a really nice atmospheric. The service is really great, our waitress was very patient while we figured out what we wanted from their expansive menu.
P. L.
I live in Spain 6 months a year and boy have these guys got it right!!! Tapas were amazing. Thank you for wonderful food and service
J. M.
Lovely place. Always assumed it was really small but it’s quite spacious downstairs. Food was excellent (the tapas bit on the large side relative to some other places) and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend the place.
L. D. J.
The wine list is great and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and outgoing, answering any questions we had. We asked for wine recomendation and based on what we told them ended up with a perfect wine for the both of us (not easily done).

This place is an experience. The staff is awesome, the food was really really well done, and the drinks were lovely. This is my first experience with tapas, but I thought it was all very fun. Prices weren't too crazy.
N. M.
Service was very quick, food was excellent, really fresh flavours and very good portion sizes for tapas.
Table was a bit cramped so was bumped a few of times, but that's the only downside.
J. O. B.
Love it, love it, love it.
Great food and service. Have visited several times and only once wasn't happy with a dish, but that's because it wasn't to my taste and not anything wrong with it. When I mentioned it to the staff, they didn't charge for it. Now that's customer service at its best.
D. G.
Hands down the best food in Galway - mains and dessert were delicious! So many wines to choose from, a great atmosphere inside and the staff were great.
S. W.
Large Spanish menu having many choices. Food was very good but the management was intrusive. Elements of cattle market herding and control of customers sprang to mind. We were strongly encouraged to a table near the open door but managed to get one downstairs. We were told they needed the table for the next booking for 5:30 and, sure enough, the next customers arrived at 5:28 just as we were about to leave.
R. B.
After seeing so many positive reviews, we were disappointed with our experience. Some of the foods were unique and delicious, but our server was distant and cold throughout the meal. Reservations here are a must due to the popularity.
D. O.
We were treated very well here, in spite of lacking reservations we were squeezed in without feeling rushed even if we were told we had to be finished by a certain time. The tapas were delicious and generous in their size, left full and satisfied. Very popular place, do call ahead!
B. D.
Fantastic restaurant. Great decor and feel to the place, staff were really friendly and knowledgeable and the food was stunning, the beef cheek dish in particular will stay with me for a long time. I wish I could go back every night and work my way thru the menu but I don't live in Galway! Next time I'm back I'm heading straight there, cannot fault it
C. H.
Great selection of tapas here..
R. L.
Very good tapas and probably deserves the title of best tapas in Ireland. As a group we tried about 15 different dishes and all were flavoursome and balanced. Lovely.
J. W.

P. N.
Great food, especially the seafood tapas, nice wine, service was excellent. We loved the look and atmosphere, well worth it. 👍
J. P.
From jack who took our booking and did everything he could to make sure we had an earlier time to pierre and (im so sorry) the female server to the incredible food - amazing, we were both so happy and full to the brim
A.

Food great but let down by restaurant cleaniness it really felt grubby and needs good deep clean. Waiting staff made mistakes with order. So not a great experience.
K. L.
Fantastic service, excellent wine and great food. They have space downstairs so don't give up if it looks full from the street!
G. R.

Tapas as if you were in Spain. The menu is quite large so takes a bit of reading especially if you are not firmilliar with certain dishes, the staff are always happy to help with recommendations and selecting a nice wine to go with your sharing dishes

Amazing food, delicious flavours and so we'll cooked, great selection of tapas, lovely music played in restaurant, and such friendly staff.
C. D.
I've eaten in a lot of restaurants in Galway and I have to say that Cava comes out on top. I've never had a poor quality dish here, and I've always tried something new. It's a must-have for pork lovers. Last week they did the catering at the Connacht Rugby Hospitality Tent and I've honestly never seen finger food get snatched up so quickly in my life.
If you're not sure what to get, I recommend the pig's cheeks in apple sauce, pork bellies and above all else, the patatas bravas.
a. o. h.
