I selected the restaurant for my girlfriend’s birthday. Everything was lovely. My girlfriend and I were so satisfied with rib-eye steak and all staff was very kind as well. I definitely highly recommend Martine’s. Thank you so much all the staff. :)

Service friendly and wide choice of by the glass wines but not all listed on the food menu so ask for the wine list! Only 2 ribs on my main so not massive or massively impressed but was tasty. Chicken stuffing sandwich was huge in compassion... go figure. Otherwise good flavours and good salads. Getting attention was hard at times even though not massively busy ... paying took forever ... small things but can be annoying and staff otherwise friendly and good.

This is where you take someone if you're on a date or really love them. I only wish I was able to eat the wheel of cheese that was on there desert menu. Also I would recommend getting a reservation for this place because it's truly beautiful. And they do have a early bird special so you can get a 2 course meal for 28 euros or a 3 course for I believe 32. Don't quote me on the 3 course. And they're not including wine.

Good place. Eggs Benedict is really fantastic, fish and chips are really good, garlic bread could be more garlic but that's my opinion, costumer service is ok, I recommend this place.

Really great place. Right in the centre of things. Had the ribs to start which were lovely. Rib roast of beef was fantastic. Finished with a very nice banoffee pie. My mum had the creme brûlée which unfortunately seemed to not have been allowed to set for too long. That was the about the only issue. Would defiantly recommend going to.

Pretty good food at a decent price. It was very busy the night we were there. Although the staff was very friendly and trying hard to keep up with everyones orders we did notice how things were forgotten and some tables were a little neglected.

Very nice roast stuffed chicken sandwich, and mushroom and rosemary soup. The service was very friendly and the process were reasonable. We had a bread and butter pudding for desert which was also very tasty. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and a good selection of dishes included on the lunch menu.

Went as a group of six. It is one of the rare places that knows how to cook a steak. I ordered it rare and that's what I got. The starters were fabulous. I had the goats cheese salad which was delicious. The fish cake starter was also very good. For desert, I had the creme brulee and it was the perfect balance of sweet with a crispy top. Our bill was wrong and we had to wait a very long time for our coffee but this was mostly due to the busy holiday period and certainly would not hold that against them. Went at an hour that was not during dinner hour and had a pleasant time. Steak was delicious and the hake and mashed potatoes were to die for. As an aside, when you book a place on the main street of a tourist district, don't assume you are being waited on less because they are busy. They are not going to turn business away. They will accommodate accordingly and it is your job as a customer to accept it with grace.

Always eat at Martines when me and the family go to Galway. It's a real treat. Nice setting and the staff are friendly. We would not normally eat fish when out but last time here we seen how nice the fish looked, all 3 of decided to have the hake this time and it went down a storm. Good sufficient portion and the roasted veg are lovely. Beetroot amongst veg is such a rare offering but such a nice one I might add. As for desert, 10 out of 5 stars. Pics say it all.

Welcomed from the moment we walked in, we didn't have a booking and the manager smiled and said "sure I'm hardly going to turn you away now am I!" Taken to a lovely table, service was impeccable and the food was delicious, well cooked and presented, good wine list and not overpriced. Given this restaurant is in the heart of the "tourist" area and in a bustling city like Galway I have to say they really do know how to treat their customers well. Chatted to a number of the team there and everyone was more than helpful and friendly, felt like being part of the family. A great choice if you find yourself in this beautiful city! I'll definitely be back!

Dined here on Friday night. We had no reservation but got seated immediately. Beautiful menu and very knowledgeable staff who answered all queries. Food was served in a very timely manner and it was delicious. Highly recommend and can't wait to return to this restaurant.

Arrived after 10pm on Wednesday night 25th May. Restaurant was busy and we had to wait a little. Ordered three meals. There was a mistake in the order which was quickly rectified and the result was well worth waiting for. In particular praise for the Goats Cheese and the Salmon - not so much for the garlic bread. Staff were very friendly and apologetic for the mix up as new staff were being trained. Overall a very pleasant experience and recommend a visit.

We were just strolling around Galway and stumbled in to this place. We were almost turned away because we had no reservations (hint). Luckily two seats opened at the bar and they squeezed us in, literaly. I had one of the best pieces of duck that I have ever tasted in my life and my wife had...........what did she have? I was so into my food I didn't notice much else. She was delighted also because she wasn't talking. A sure sign of utter concentration. We were both very pleased and if we're in Galway again we will imediately make reservations for Martines. P.S. Martine is a very lovely lady.

Pretty restaurant in Galway's Latin Quarter on Quay St. Compliments to the staff their great fast service friendly and knowledgeable. Ordered two burgers thanks to angreat chef they were delicious and would recommend to come hungry. Loads of wines and beers to choose from but opted for the Oscar Wilde sparkling water. Dinner starts at 5pm Martine's great place for a group or romantic evening or just dining alone.

French restaurant in Galway serving mostly seafood. My wife had a stew that was good apparently. Me I had the mussels. Some was cold (still frozen?) and no sides were included with the dish (be carefull), and there was barely enough to fill one's stomach. Also asked for a blonde beer and got a stout.
