I cannot thank the staff enough at McDonald's Shop Street. Last week my mother & father brought my son Noah to Galway for the day on the train. Noah is 9yrs old with non verbal autism and doesn't like crowds too much. When they arrived in Galway they brought him to McDonald's in Shop Street as Noah loves McDonald's and its a real treat for him. On arriving there they were greated by one of the staff who saw that Noah was on the spectrum and showed them to a quiet area of the restaurant where they were seated. She took their order and brought the meals directly to the table. This just meant my parents didn't have to queue with Noah who hates being in queues and isn't good at waiting at all. He can really get distressed by it. I cannot tell you how much that meant to them and to me as they could have quality time with their grandson who wasn't distressed and enjoy their day together with a lovely treat for him in McDonald's. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the staff who made this day that little bit more special. Its the little things that mean the most. Keep up the good work guys!!!!

I have previously given this establishment one star, however on a wet and wintry July afternoon I needed sustenance and shelter and being the closest door I stepped away from the thunder into what i must say was a changed safe space the touch screen order was hassle free( and i could tell the staff cleaned it at least once so i wasnt worried about catching covid off of the maskless antivaxer in the Celtic jersey just ahead of me ) the hot sauce was amazing the best hot sauce I had ever ordered it complimented the cooked to perfection chicken or whatever is in them wings.I caught a glimpse of the under paid head chef in the back an electric copper wonder man and I'm im afraid I heard the manager say that's not the correct recipe but the chef stood his ground the manager screamed but the electric copper dream kept his cool and kept serving up his hot sauce. Do yourself favour and drop in ask for the hot sauce it is not to missed. The toilets were kinda clean

I was quite impressed with their recent upgrade! You can now order your meal from any of the 3 panels( back and front) or order from the 3 tills. It did remind me a little of Argos, as once you order your meal, you wait in line to pick up your meal. All went very fast and smooth, so definately worth a try if you haven't experienced it yet.

Great service, very well organised re Covid guidance, I was met inside the front door by staff who politely asked for my contact name/number and to see my Covid cert, it was good to see McDonald's doing it by the book, that keeps us all safe.I was shown to my table, there was a number assigned to same, I ordered my meal and it was delivered promptly to the table, it was hot, fresh and delicious. The 3 staff I had dealings with were a credit to their manager.

A normal McDonald's. It is always clean a staff are friendly. Service is quick apart from lunchtime when it gets swamped by all the local secondary school students. Coffee is great! The only thing I dislike is the fact that the toilets are upstairs which is a bit of awkward if you have an elderly person or a child in a stroller. Meaning that have to leave the stroller unattended.

Got a double cheeseburger and it was great but had to pass it to my friend as I couldn't finish it. Also got nuggets to share. They were only just warm but tasted the same. It wasn't too busy for a Monday evening.

I visited McDonalds on shop street as my normal coffee places had big queues and I have to say it's changed my perception of McD which I hadn't been in years. Self service machines were handy & I was even able to avail of table service! A breath of fresh air, a bar you can have a conversation in! A great place to watch rugby, 90% local clientele and it has a limited but excellent beer, gin and whiskey selection. Food is limited to sandwiches and soup which is no harm as it is primarily a bar as opposed to a lot of it's neighbours which are just as much aimed towards food as beer.

Atmosphere and quality of staff and food is just like any other McDonald's. This is a first for me out of America, and I actually found it fancier and more up-to-date than the one from back home! The taste of the McChicken was drastically different than in the states but fries (or chips) are the same. Slightly different choices of drinks available and much more options of coffee drinks.

This place is usually fine during the day, they have quick service and it's non problematic but at night it can become seriously over crowded by roudy people causing chaos amongst staff and customers, waiting time becomes much longer during the night time too where it can take up to 20 minutes to receive your order

Hygiene is actually ok, I do have problems though with other things. First off, fries were WAY too salty. It was basically like eating salt. Secondly, I got a drink, put it on my table, went to the bathroom for 2 minutes, and the cleaner threw it away assuming I was gone. Other than that, it was good. I recommend going there despite my rating.

Some concerts start at 7:30 p.m. and others at 9:30 p.m. The advantage of Mcdonald's compared to a classic restaurant is that you can eat at any time, and this one is well placed in the city center, in the district of shops and pubs. Le service est rapide. Leur salade est assez bien garnie. Pour visiter Galway le soir nous avons voulu assister aux concerts dans les pubs. Certains concerts commencent à 19h30 et d'autres à 21h30. L'avantage de Mcdonald's par rapport à un restaurant classique c'est qu'on peut manger à n'importe qu'elle heure, et celui là est bien placé dans le centre ville, dans le quartier des boutiques et des pubs.
