Great place to eat, the staff is friendly and helpful. You can enjoy the inside as the outside of the restaurant as is lovely. The orders are fast to be served and the food is more than delicious, 10/10. We will come back again.

The take away was very quick. The food was lovely. They cater to food intolerances as listed on the menu but don't make any changes to that. I got gluten free food.

I'm lost for words. Everything was absolutely fantastic: crab claws, seafood chowder, veggie soup and fisherman's platter. Perfectly balanced, freshest ingredients, portion sizes appropriate before hitting the twisty road with crazy high speed limit. I was here a long time ago as a little girl, the food was amazing and plenty of it. I specifically remember the crab sandwiches and the mussels. So I brought my husband and kids back. During pandemic mind so no indoor dining. I got a crab salad to share with my 8yr old daughter, it was 13.95. It was only lunch but the salad was tiny. It was yummy we both agreed but very very small. My husband got scolded by Mary for calling for a gent who was to collect his food. In fairness, he was only trying to help. My memories Of O'Dowds were perhaps too romantic.

This place is a jewel. We ate delicious soups and desert made of local fish and seaweed. Great beers. The barmaids are very caring, even if they are very busy. In the morning we had breakfast with a delicious slice of cake and a smoothie. Upstairs they have more tables and a panoramic view of the Ocean.

Really lovely little pub and restaurant (menu is the same on both sides). Beautiful harbour views. We had the veg soup, crab claws in garlic butter, salmon and shepherds pie. All delish. Another good idea would be to get a couple of their ham and cheese sandwiches and take them across the street to the picnic tables on the harbour itself. Either way, a nice day out and worth the trip over from Clifden or Ballynahinch.

Bit of a problem getting in here. I suppose it didn't really help that my companion didn't have a COVID-19 certificate, but he did have a letter from the HSE to say he had been issued with one. He's 83yrs & waiting for a replacement certificate. We were eventually allowed to enter an empty room & had oysters & drinks. That's all.

Great food at an amazing place. The seafood we ordered was fresh and the view of the water was a perfect setting. The staff were friendly even though they were busy. I would highly recommend the Brandy basket desert. Honestly, the best food stop of our Ireland road trip.

Beautiful meal, very pleasant staff, all precautions being taked for C-19. I have eaten here on a few occasions down through the years. Have always had a very pleasant experience and this time it was no different. Highly recommended.

This well known bar capitalises well on a captive market-especially in the winter. The prices would compare to any city centre restaurant, yet the quality of the food it’s not up to the same standard. A little extra imagination and an overall higher standard is needed to justify the prices. In the space of a day we ate in both the restaurant and cafe and both were similarly bland and basic. The rashers and sausages in the breakfast were actually deep fried! Disappointing when other local options are closed for the season.

Very cozy traditional Irish pub with outstanding seafood on the menu. The waitress warned us that if we'd order oysters there would be a wait, since that boat had not come in yet. We literally saw them being carried in the kitchen and a minute later the were on our plates. Freshest and best oysters I had in a very long time. We also had smoked Connemara salmon and lamb shank. Both were well prepared and delicious.

This restaurant / bar was a great wee find in Roundstone. Had a daring here initially and having reviewed the menu decided to book for 8pm. Was very please we did when we saw how crowded it was . We were sitting near the door so could hear late com et rs with no reservation doing turned away. Seafood is a must here. Had the seafood chowder was my starter. The 1/2 bowl is a great option. Both myself and companion opted for the smoked salmon tagliatelle. A carafe of lovely dpanidh white wine off the house wine list was an excellent accompaniment for this meal. With two lovely deserts the damage was surprisingly low given what we had. A generous tip was a must as the staff were plesent and helpful. Another great wee find on my travels. Highly recommended with Bridgestone / McKenna plates and Georgina Campbell accolades.
