L. N.After a week of Ireland, we realized that the Irish eat a diet very high in saturated fat, sodium, and fried things. Things like fried egg, chips, rashers, bangers, sausages, fried fish, black and white pudding, bacon, and ham seemed to be a part of every meal. When we arrived in Galway, we decided to find something a little lighter/healthier, so we were thrilled when our search yielded the TGO Falafel Bar. A cute little vegan takeout place, that does a brisk business. The service was top notch, and the open kitchen allowed us to creepily watch as the food was being prepared. I liked that I watched them cut the falafel balls in half, so that even though my wrap had two balls, they were distributed evenly throughout. I was also impressed with the amount of food that was shoved into our wraps/pitas. The pita seemed to fall apart a bit from the liquid, so wrap is definitely the easier one to eat on the go, while the pita gets you more food for only an extra euro or so. If we lived here, this is where we would get most of our meals from.

A. V.Great stop with delicious falafel wrap. I came twice after ordering something in another place that I didn't like it. I highly recommend everything mostly brownie, cheesecake, ice cream, falafel wrap and chips 😋
K. A.For the past 6 years, I've had the pleasure to eat from what I believe is Galway's finest.
The menu is broad and extensive, from meals resembling non-vegan food to meals revolving around fresh veggies. I've taken many of my classmates, friends and lads to this establishment and not a single person has ever been disappointed. Many of those people had never had 'vegan food' but none could deny the awesomeness that naturally flows from when you make your order with the kind chefs to the last bite. Throughout the years I've been in Galway, TGO has stayed by my side, growing as much as I did. I still remember their free for all pickle bar and the day they started serving soft serve, allowing me to have my first soft serve since I went vegan; and it was glorious.
I can't help but reminisce on the times I've had their food, the not-chicken roll being there with me through tough exam periods, the arancini burger helping me celebrate with my friends, and my relaxing summer memories have been framed by the cheeky spice bag.
I hope the great minds at falafel bar know, no matter what their role is, just how many fond memories, cravings and relief their food has brought me and those around me.

Z. D.I almost never leave reviews but I really felt like I had to! I ordered the large salad box late last night for delivery and requested a few alterations- and it was done with such love and graciousness! The food was packed with so much love and care. Most importantly, I can't stress enough how the salads, pitas, and falafels are absolutely delectable....and fresh! I feel like the team/owners go above and beyond to cater to their customers, which is quite a rarity. The falafels are crispy and hot on the outside and soft and perfectly flavored on the inside. Mind you, I am Middle Eastern myself, so when I say the quality, hospitality, flavor, and freshness are there...I just mean it reminds me of what my mother makes back home. I hope everyone can try it out for themselves. It's one of my favorite places for vegan/vegetarian food (just food in general haha) in Galway. I recommend the large salad box w/ either the Mojo Verde or their (new?) Tahini sauce with a cold San Pellegrino. It's my go-to. 12/10. You guys make me enjoy being a regular!!!! Love this place
J. C.A great find for vegetarians, vegans or meat eaters who are ready for a surprise! They have an impressive menu, I wanted to try everything. The food was tasty and portions were large and reasonably priced. I love falafel but ended up ordering other things because of the fun variety they have. The place is simple but cozy, with friendly, helpful staff.

A. M.Honestly the greatest food experience I have had in a while. Cannot recommend enough. Got the aranchini beet salad. The aranchini was perfection - crispy outside and soft inside. The salad was unbelievable. So fresh and filled with flavour. Portions are huge and very filling. Will be coming back.

I added an item to my order late, as I was collecting my original order, so I had to wait, which is totaly my own fault, I asked for the empanada heated. I waited another 5/10 minutes and stuck my head in a few times to check on the order, I was called in and given my food. After waiting, the empenada was cold, just found the service to be a bit lacking.
As I said before, I have visited this place at least 20 times and its always been top class, the food and the service, but perhaps newer staff need a bit more training in food prep and customer service.

D.Went there as an meat eater wanting to try something different, was the end of the evening so I imagine the staff were a bit tired, as a result I got some rather mushy chips and a fairly cold falafel, I think I must have just drawn the short straw on that occasion though, my friends insist the chips are great, staff were very friendly as well. Get the chips right and you might help convert some folk but I'll give it a miss for the time being.

The staff have worked there for a long time and couldn't be nicer. They're super knowledgeable about dietary requirements and happy to make vegan gluten-free meals. It's definitely a highlight of Galway restaurants.

C. C.We went for lunch and had the speciality salad bar with fresh falafel. It was easily one of the best meals we've had in Ireland! So many varieties of plant based, fresh salads from kale Caesar to chic pea "egg" salad. The staff were amazing, gave such generous portions and the price cannot be beat! Wish we had more time to go back again! Thank you for such a tasty, healthy lunch in Galway!! A must if you enjoy plant based eating!
B. D.They made good falafel pita at a very reasonable price of €4.50. The next day I went there however their vegan spicebag was €8(which I felt was a bit much considering you can get a meat spicebag cheaper elsewhere i.e. it disincentivises switching from meat to vegetarian/vegan diets) , yeah the food was nice but I could barely taste anything from the Seitan especially not any spices. I asked for a can of coke, first they asked if I had change when I had €2 then I heard them say it was €2 for a can of coke. I'm a vegetarian/vegan. You alienate people from switching over to the diet when you impost prices like this( i.e. vegan tax). Vegetarian/vegan food isn't just for middle class people, poor people should be able to buy it too.

And impeccable customer service - we mistakenly thought we hadn't received our falafels (they were hiding under our flatbread), so they gave us more, no questions asked, even though they were sure they'd done the order correctly. When we came back the next day to apologize after realizing our error, and to pay for the extra falafels we'd been given, they wouldn't hear of it.
